I find a bit atrange that we have to move for players that aint match fit. They will spend 2-4 weeks before being fully fit........ AND by then the season is over

And what about give forsell a run instead of becchio? He scored again in the same match and he always seems to create himself a couple of chances in the 10 minutes he gets off the bench!!

Yeah i agree we need to give forssell a start he does more than becchio does in 10 mins than becchio does in the whole game!

Just heard on Yorkshire radio Simon Grayson has said Fabian Delph would fit the bill perfectly however he hasn't confirmed they have bid for him. Surely this has to come off ideally in time for weekend if this don't come off I feel the playoffs won't happen this year
MOT
Believable12
Unbelievable2
This will not happen as it is just a con to sell season tickets. Remember during summer Woodgate and Smith, they were never coming.
Agree0
Disagree0
Grayson did say he would fit the bill but in the same interview said he would not confirm who he was interested in. so until someone signs i doubt we will know anything about it.
Agree0
Disagree0
This wont happen for the simple reason delph is quality and grayson would be confused into what position to play him in to make sure that he is played out of position goalie looks favourite

According to a story on the sun website ( and ok it's the sun website!) Mc cormack was at the dw stadium last night with his agent.
The story goes on to say he is one of martinez's top targets and has a £2.5 mill buy out clause. Anyone know anything about this or is it bsh~t? MOT
Believable6
Unbelievable17
Why would he go to a team destined for the championship
Agree4
Disagree0
I seriously doubt he will want to go to a club in free fall just to join the Championship again next season. He's not exactly been on form recently so I'd be surprised if Wigan actually go ahead with it all
Agree4
Disagree2
I hope mcormack does go, could do with the 2.5million for someone who can score, okay he's scored 11 goals thisseason but what's he done in the last 2 months? Nothing! Sell and re invest for promotion

Mcormack has a £2.5m buy out clause? This surprises me as I doubt the whole squad is worth that much.
Though I would sell him for that without question

Original poster again. Like i said don't know if there's any truth in the story.
If true though, i'd take beckford back from the crisp munchers, think he could get the old magic back. Might get becchio firing again too! MOT

Leeds risk losing midfield dynamo Adam Clayton as contract talks have stalled.
Clayton has arguably been Leeds' stand-out performer this term with a number of impressive performances for Simon Grayson's men.
The 22-year-old has firmly established himself as a key player in the Leeds side after initially struggling to break into the team last season following his arrival from Manchester City.
Clayton has scooped several man of the match awards this term and has chipped in with five goals from midfield.
Clayton is in the final 18 months of his contract at Elland Road and the club have been locked in talks over an extension for some time.
However, both parties have been struggling to agree a deal and the news has alerted a number of clubs in the Premier League to Clayton's possible availability.
Clayton's suitors are now weighing up moves for the midfielder as they prepare to test Leeds' resolve to hang onto the player.

Clayton was great for the first few games this season but was average at best during November / December. I don't think his 18 months remaining contract is anywhere near the top of Leeds priority list.
How about bringing in quality players and agreeing new contracts with White and Howson who both are free agents come May.
Agree5
Disagree5
There is a common thread here, contract talks keep stalling, its bates and harvey who keep trying to pay the players peanuts and then act all surprised when they reject initial offers
Agree4

Never mind,Leeds Utd website reveals Parkers nearing full fitness, what a boon that will be eh,got to be one of the worst, injury prone players weve had,if hes a sign of things to come its God help us.
Agree2
Disagree2
To the second poster - you'll be happy to hear Clayton is off then??
I don't think so. In my opinion he's been our best all year and now with Howson officially gone there can be no doubt about it.

He plays for the Tunisian champions and apparently is being looked at by souchoux or France? They are close to agreeing a bid. From what it says on a website but Leeds Want to snap up the powerhouse.

So hope this is true...know nothing about the guy but think of all amazing chants you can get out of a name like that!!

Leeds have tabled an offer of 950k apparently
Agree0

Error, his name is Banana Yaya, only public school and military give the family name before the given name, Grayson Simon? He has played next to no games and so has not proven himself, but as is usual LUFC fashion is thought to be a punt at your reported fee. That amount would get a good starting right full back and left sided centre half from the Championship or Premiership reserves

According to the Yorkshire Post it is unlikely that Delph or Lichaj will be coming. Lichaj is to continue his fitness return at Villa and according to Villa officials we haven't made an offer to loan Deplh. It states he is on a 5 figure weekly wage, so Bates will pull that.
Believable6
Unbelievable4
Local birmingham paper states that no cotnact yet from Leeds and Villa want leeds to pay a substantial part of his wages and have a recall clause.
So no deal then as Bates and his lackey Harvey will not authorise us paying any kind of decent money
Agree2
Disagree0
It doesnt say that at all...it says that Villa are looking to keep hold of Lichaj but it doesnt say that Delph isn't coming...the deal is done, by all accounts, just not publicised yet!
Agree1
Disagree1
So 5 figure sum...that starts at 10k ..... i think the budget runs from that and slightly upward
Agree0
Disagree0
It says: Villa have yet to receive contact from Leeds United about a loan swoop for Fabian Delph, even though the Elland Road club are keen on taking back their former favourite on a temporary basis.
It is believed Villa would be receptive to the move, providing Leeds are willing to pay a significant contribution to Delph’s wages and agree to a recall clause.
Therefore with what Bates and Harvey offer then theres no chance of it happening much as i would like to see it happening

Looks like Delph & Lichaj rumour could have legs. LEEDS want Aston Villa pair Fabian Delph and Eric Lichaj on loan.
Midfielder Delph was sold by United in 2009 for £6million but is out of favour at Villa.
Lichaj spent last term on loan at Leeds and manager Simon Grayson is after a right-back.

Lichaj is not coming to Elland Road and is expected to get a first team shot @ Villa (Yorkshire Evening Post).
Delph is a 90% done deal.
Still chasing a Def to replace Kisnorbo.
Craig Jones (Wing) currently on trial.
