Leeds poised to make a double swoop for QPR duo next week by signing DJ Campbell and Faurlin for a combined 2 million.

-MS

Believable14 Unbelievable56

Lol dream on they worth more than that, faurlin alone is 3mill

Agree0 Disagree0

Don't think faurlin would come to us when he had chance to play for a decent club abroad...

Agree0 Disagree0

Campbell has signed for Cardif

Agree0 Disagree0

Palermo aren't decent mate, they're at the bottom of Serie A which is fast becoming quite a poor league!

Agree0 Disagree0

Redknapp confirmed today that campbell was being pursued by 2 former managers (both in Championship).

Theres prem looking at Wells, were also believed to be looking at him along with Wolves & Town, upto me its not first choice to go to Town so keep faith !
Remember were just the fans we have NO say in transfers otherwise we'd be european champions every year.
Morley Whites

Agree1 Disagree1

Believe me Wells is not a premier striker. Maybe championship at best but I doubt that too.

Agree1 Disagree0

Why would you want to spend money on Wells when we have Dawson? Younger, faster and more ability and he's already ours. MOT {Ed013's Note - Wells is a striker, Dawson is a midfielder}

Agree0 Disagree0

Not a prem striker?
I thought he was superb agaisnt Arsenal and Villa and they had stong teams out.
I think we need to sign a stiker with a proven goalscoring record in the league were in.

Leeds to sign Dj Campbell next week.

Believable26 Unbelievable41

He is going to palace will sign for them in next 48 hours

Agree0 Disagree0

Really. Why next week and not this week.

Agree0 Disagree0

Because Warnock said he isnt close to bringing anyone in this week.

Poleon has signed a two year contract. Looks as though some of the players are convinced we are going in the right direction.

Believable44 Unbelievable7

Or maybe he knows that certain strikers are leaving and he will get an opprtunity for the first team? #JustSayin

lufc MoT
dk11

Agree1 Disagree0

...Or he's getting ready to go out on loan soon.

He should have never been brought back from his loan at Bury. Zac recently extended his loan til' the end of the season, Poleon needs a similar deal.

With Becchio (who I don't see going) McCormack, Diouf and Somma on the books I don't see him making the bench. Even if Becchio does go he'll be replaced and therefore Poleon needs a league one loan deal, in my opinion.

alledged rumour warnock poised for £3 million bid for millwall, s liam trotter

Believable9 Unbelievable61

If he's worth 3 then Becc's has got to be worth 7 mill
foxrat

Agree1 Disagree1

Dont be ridiculous what makes trotter worth £3m?

Agree1 Disagree0

Cant see us spending that kind of money on 1 player, unless we sell first, could be rodney trotter we bid for

Agree0 Disagree0

How silly does this sound. i think £3m for trotter is way over priced had him down for worth at least £800k

Agree0 Disagree0

Any relation to Rodney Trotter? Both in same general Peckham direction ...

gfh have no money and ken bates is still pulling the strings...warnock to leave next week

Believable49 Unbelievable58

It get worse, we have the only Gulf owners with no money, what a joke. Warnock going I am not so sure, who will come in, we have no money and the transfer window is going to close. Lucky to finish mid table.

Agree1 Disagree0

Hmm, when they have 100% ownership and Bates has no say what's so ever. So stop trying to fuel things. Go concentrate on ya own little life.

Agree2 Disagree2

What a load of Tosh how often has Ken even been seen let alone heard since the takeover ? He hasnt point of fact he is a Non Exec chairman with a voice but no power. He isnt pulling any strings in fact i should imagine he is in Monaco counting the 52 million quid cash they have just paid for the club. If that's having no money.....I wish i was skint. MOT

Agree1 Disagree1

Bates is no longer pulling the strings - People just need to let that go.... No-one knows about the GHF finances, its all just hearsay so we should wait and see.

Agree1 Disagree1

17 Jan 2013 12:57:41
Why not approach Chelsea about loaning MALOUDA... rumours that no clubs have spoken to Chelsea about him... would we a superb in the Championship and give him regular first team football :)

Agree2 Disagree1

Who's pulling your strings ?

Agree0 Disagree1

Warnock stated that he has put 7, or 8 bids in for players. Doesn't sound lile a club that's skint, or run by Bates.

Agree0 Disagree1

Huddersfield fan ? no need to be bitter mate

Agree1 Disagree0

Yes but talks cheap action speck louder than words

Agree1 Disagree0

Bates is still chairman till end of the season he still is pulling the strings!

Agree0 Disagree1

Gfh have no money? yet they brought the club for 52 million!! so don't post if you don't know what to say

Agree0 Disagree0

Why is it always Huddersfield, touchy, touchy!

Agree0 Disagree0

The poster is right, GFH have no money of their own -to think that they do is just wishful thinking. They are a bank -banks are investment vehicles for those with money; their job is to try and attract investment. This they have succeeded in doing sufficiently to cover the purchase, with the majority of the funds coming from the 'wealthy individual with connections to the Bahrain government.' (not royalty, as some have suggested) But by definition they do not have substantial funds of their own. And Bates is still pretty central to the operation -he's still chairman for goodness sake. Of course he has a much lower profile publicly -but that's just for the sake of PR, part of GFH's charm offensive. Chapel A

Agree0 Disagree0

Who's to say GFH have gone and put all there eggs in one basket and are now trying to play it out till end of season, with the hope of getting some cash in the break. Funny how all are targets are not getable but everyone else doing there buisness. Who are we trying to get? Players out of retirement.
RMOT

Agree0 Disagree0

No money no signings but Warnock will stay as we have no money to replace him.

Martinez has played down the link up with Bechio

Believable57 Unbelievable16

Is it only me, but when a manager plays down speculation don't you think that makes it more believable?... Martinez said he didn't want to mention names... to me that says he is interested in Becchio or why wouldn't he just say "No, I'm not interested".

After this latest bit of news, I'm now convinced he is on his way unfortunately.

Mad Mick

Agree0 Disagree0

He has played it down but not denied it

Agree0 Disagree0

Expect him to move before end of window then!

Agree0 Disagree0

£3m for Becchio would be good business...good in the air and end of crosses where most of his goals come from.....crap with the ball at his feet...always has back to goal..

Another forward with a rubbish goal to game not good enough

Agree0 Disagree0

17 Jan 2013 13:08:59
Have you actually thought that he may work well with McCormack - who is a goalscorer. Doyle's a good player, very good at this level in fact. I'd have him in the team if we lose the current centre forward.

Agree0 Disagree1

I'd swop becchio for Doyle anytime

Agree0 Disagree1

Lol doyle is rubbish, becchio offers far more

Agree1 Disagree0

Becchio offers little other than scoring from crosses. But at least he scores!
Doyle doesn't score and offers nothing.
No thanx.

Leeds Utd to make double swoop for Blackstock & Majewski .....?

Believable10 Unbelievable59

Neither are good enough

Agree2 Disagree0

17 Jan 2013 12:23:42
Blackstock as signed a new deal so think your lying, what's the point in writing things that are not TRUE give us time to get people still a few weeks left, a proper buisness byds time to get succesfull and I think that's the best thing for the club a action plan not to just jump in at the deep end and waste money, we should be developing our younger players and giving them a chance look at there result last night they are hungry players give them the chance, there's loads of talent at the club Leeds united TRUE supporter h.p.c 4 life

Agree0 Disagree0

He's not lying, he's asking on a rumours site if a certain rumour is plausible, hence the question mark... don't give the lad stick for that! ... but no, i can't see that deal happening lol

The Moose is reporting on a radio station that primarily focuses on sport that Becchio is definately going to Wigan. Gutted if this is true!!

ADW

Believable27 Unbelievable41

Should be renamed talks**t!!

Agree0 Disagree1

I think he should go he deserves a shot he has been a loyal servant to Leeds I wouldn't have any hard fellings towards him. He he does well

Agree2 Disagree0

Why is everyone having panic attacks over Becchio leaving? We'd be a miles better TEAM without him. Really hope we sell him & get a forward that can actually move, make runs so our BETTER players have someone to link up with, run channels, hold the ball up & bring our BETTER players like McCormack & Diouf into the game! He is awful! He holds us back - why can't people see this?? I'm sure 90% of Leeds fans are delusional!

Agree2 Disagree1

Or maybe its the other 10 per cent that's dilusional?? becchio is the best finisher we have had since Viduka
lee

Agree1 Disagree0

Holds us back?! We'll just forget about his 19 goals this season then! Because we'd be down towards the bottom without them. We need a partner for him who will run off and make the space, not to be selling him altogether.
If Becchio does leave this month, I will be very disappointed as he's been extremely loyal and guarantees you goals. Not forgetting this so called 'awful' player is on our top 10 league goal scoring list of all time - he must be bad then. JamesC

Agree2 Disagree0

Um... Beckford was a better finisher (and that was frankly all he had to his game).
Viduka? He only played three/four months of a season when he put himself in the shop window. Did the same at Celtic.
Maybe forgotten by some but I'd say Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink was the best finisher we've ever had at Leeds (ok, certainly had the most powerful finish)... Becchio's link-up play was a big factor in Beckford's goals. I think he's just getting found out the higher the level of opposition.
He's trying, though... unlike Beckford did. If only the rest of the team had even half Becchio's heart.

Agree0 Disagree0

If we're talking about the best finishers, then Yeboah & Robbie Fowler are the best I've seen in a white shirt. Shame they both got injured. Regardless of what people say, Fowler was class for us before he got hurt. Came in at Christmas & finished top scorer. Great finisher too. Clinical.

Agree0 Disagree1

Yeboah ad most powerful shot in my humble opinion

Agree0 Disagree0

I love becchio but he is never worth £4million
Beckford was not a good finisher he's another Andy cole
Fowler by far best finisher in my opinion and unfair comment on viduka he was a luxury player in a good team like a tarrabtin qpr or a ginola at spurs
The only problem with selling becchio is can we have at least £2million to replace hi

Agree1 Disagree1

Best finisher in a white shirt sniffer. Clarke

Agree2 Disagree0

Allan Clarke was the best finisher

Agree1 Disagree0

17 Jan 2013 14:49:15
What bout hasselbaink for best finisher?

Agree0 Disagree1

17 Jan 2013 16:09:27
Sorry, Beckford had more to his game than finishing. Could go past people & create something for himself! Something which Becchio will never be able to do! We've fallen into the trap of building a team around a guy that has no football ability whatsoever & needs everything putting on a plate for him. If he didn't play we'd get goals from other areas - a forward with good movement would make other players play better! As it is we're too one dimensional & are very limited in our attack due to a static forward.

Agree0 Disagree0

I take exception to criticism of mark viduka, skill, strength and a great finisher.lazy, luxury player, kewell!!what an idle b.....d!!

Agree0 Disagree1

Seen Clarke to Becchio andlots in between and rated many highly but always loved watching Michael Bridges before the injuries started.

Agree0 Disagree0

Hang on a minute -this great club has had numerous fantastic strikers over the years. Are we not able to say we loved one striker without slagging off others? Personally, I am proud to say that I've watched forwards as great as Becchio, Beckford, Snodgrass, Viduka, Bridges, Kewell, Hasselbaink, Yeboah etc etc in the white shirt, and will not hear a word said against any of them! At various times, all were great in the white shirt and made me proud to be a Leeds fan. Is that not enough? If Becchio goes, then he deserves nothing but our best wishes for the fabulous service he's given us, and he will always be welcome back -that's all that needs to be said. We will enjoy the memories, then look forward to our next great striker -at this great club there will always be another one round the corner. Chapel A

Agree0 Disagree0

What about sir Enoch showumni
Ledgend {Ed013's Note - Next you will be saying Tresor Kandol!}

Becchio to Wigan for £3.2m

Warnock will replace him with Mackail-Smith for £1.5m and is planning a £1m bid for Jerome Thomas

Very reliable source who told me about the signings of Diouf, Varney + Austin

Believable37 Unbelievable59

Id have that even though i don't want becs to go

Agree1 Disagree0

Rubbish. Why make things up? Thomas said
he's staying at WBA. Besides he's got 6 months on his contract which wouldnt equate to a £1m fee.
As for CMS. Why would he come to Leeds when we don't offer anything different to Brighton in terms of Prem football ?

Agree1 Disagree0

If Becs go then CMS is good replacement but I'm sure Jerome Thomas has made it clear he wants to stay at West Brom

Agree0 Disagree0

Is that the same Jerome Thomas who recently said he'd not be coming back to Leeds? Also I can't see Brighton letting CMS go for that amount

Agree0 Disagree1

Wishful thinking me thinks, beccs worth double the price of cms .. Can't see it

Agree0 Disagree0

We won't get thomas

Agree0 Disagree0

Why would anyone persist in this chase for Jerome Thomas - with 3.2 million plus any GFH input we can surely do better than this - sack Warnock before wecare skint again paying for S**T players who have no chance of getting us promoted.

Also of note that Birmingham was BRILLIANT - but only in comparison to the other games this season Ben bloody poor!

a web site

Agree0 Disagree0

Jerome thomas has already said he has no plans to come to leeds and plans on fighting for a place at west brom

Agree0 Disagree0

Sounds like a promising step in the right direction.

Agree0 Disagree0

I've just choked on my coffee reading some of these comments! Becchio is a terrible footballer & makes us easy to defend against. I'd rather have a forward that scores less but has great movement & then we'll see better performances from Dioufy & Ross. This is what we need! We need our best players on the field, not on the bench. The best thing we could do is sell him. The next best thing we could do is leave him out & continue with Ross & Diouf.

Agree1 Disagree0

Brighton paid an intial 2.5m for CMS. Can't see they would let him go for a million less a year and a half later

Agree0 Disagree0

Why didn't you chin him when he said we were signing Varney.....ha ha ha
