Few things don't understand and if I get anything wrong than I'll apologise up front. It is reported that we are not in a very healthy financial position. Although where most football clubs wages can be as high as 70% of turnover and ours is only 45%. Where's the rest of the money don't understand?
If it is that we are in a bad financial position therefore little profit? Why isn't Bates eager to sell?
If Bates as is suggested intends to stay, he must know in
Order to get us anywhere you have to invest? Yet he refuses why?
Surely it would make more sense for him to sell and walk away with a lrge profit.
Finally if we were a normal company and the fans who pay the majority of the companies income where the customers
we'd be investigated
Under the sale of goods act. Sale Not fit for purpose.

All our money is taken out of the club by bates an loaned to one of he other 27 companies linked to Leeds united.
There is a video on YouTube telling the story of how bates got the club to start with.

Second he won't spend money as he only bought the club for £350 000 to start with so he s happy to use us as a cash cow each year.

He will sell but only when he gets every penny he can out first.

Third you can't report him as he hasn't done anything illegal even though he as all the clubs finances and eland road and Thorpe arch listed as owned in tax havens so he never pays tax but it's all legal.

He will go shortly I'm sure of it he knows the buyers are desperate to buy and they have payed money into the lug plus for due diligence so he has them over a barrel.

Agree0 Disagree0

Where exactly has it been reported that we're not in a good finacial situation ?
MOT/FOB

Agree0 Disagree0

Bates will probably hold out until after jan transfer window as he a person .
leeds united make a small profit each season which seems to be bates bonus for the season .
bates can get away with what he is paying himself as he can just say its a pay rise .

Agree0 Disagree0

Mr Bates, has shown financial prudence on the playing side of the club, that is true. He has also investment heavily into non football projects such as re-development of ER. He has set up many different companies whilst investing this money to protect each company from failure of any other.

This makes sense, what does not make sense is doing this at the expense of investment in the football side of the business. This has to be the primary interest.

The biggest stakeholder in LUFC is the fan base. Without the fans we have no club and all of Bates's corperate boxes and Hotel projects will be empty and drain yet more cash from the club.

Note to Bates..... remember we are a football club, our primary interest should be in exactly that, the football.

Can you inagine Ford Motor Co not investing in new car designs but instead building hotels. This thought is unthinkable. Well think on.

Get the football straight first. Then do the rest.

Agree0 Disagree0

Bates keeps costs down to maximise the cash he can cream off each year. Its the opposite of prudence as hes scr*wing the football club into the ground bit by bit. Interesting you refer to sales of goods act, in fact as customers each time we buy a ticket we are not being afforded proper consideration for the product we purchase bates could be sued then under deceit, negligence, the list goes on.

Agree0 Disagree0

He's a fat cat with a cash cow

Agree0 Disagree0

Most clubs are overpaying on wages and have loads of debt and then go bust like we did.

Yeah, let's do that again, cos it really paid off for us, didn't it?

lufcfanalways

Agree0 Disagree0

So Ken's waving goodbye on the pitch at Hull... He must realise that if he did it at Elland Road (where the match is being played) he'd get the appropriate send off that he deserves!

Agree0 Disagree0

Here we go again, not a sniff on any other site, yet your privvy to this information, funny thing is,one day it may be right, till then give it a rest,

Agree0 Disagree0

Been here before and like so many I hope this is true, but won't get hopes up until its all over official site and news outlets and the YEP

Agree0 Disagree0

If only carlsberg did rumours

Agree3 Disagree0

If this is true.......well it is my Christmas gift

Agree0 Disagree0

Where did you get this information from ?

Agree0 Disagree1

you think all this will all happen on a fecking pitch on Humberside, with Uncle Ken waving at the Leeds fans.

love Leeds

Wits-End {Ed013's Note - I have deleted your abuse, calm down and what has Humberside got to do with it. I wish fans would stop arguing and having a go at each other. Its supposed to be Leeds UNITED}

Agree0 Disagree0

Yeah rite and i`m the new owner of leeds utd

Agree0 Disagree0

I heard the big farewell was planned for premier league opposition i.e. the Everton game. How can you have a "big farewell" at the.......Hull game? Sounds more like a Black Adder joke.

Agree0 Disagree0

Humberside ? Eland road is west Yorkshire doylum.

Agree1 Disagree0

Sick of hearing this same thing every day in different wording... stop this please ed's {Ed013's Note - its a rumour}

Agree0 Disagree0

Right then Mr MS, imagine im Ken for a second...." right then that's the due -dillgence complete..Excellent. HARVEY, get that champagne on ice, i better call MS on his mobile and let him know the excellent news...before i call all the recognised news agencies to inform them...nothing strange in that from my view point" Is that what happened MS...is it really?!

Agree0 Disagree0

This just tickled me- I can just see ken the c on the pitch waving at 20000 people who hate him. I don't think he would get a good reception even if he sold it to the richest man in the world and refunded everyone's season ticket!

White teeth

Agree0 Disagree0

This is so wide of the mark. Takeover is a long way from completion. It is looking next year at earliest.

Agree0 Disagree0

With all the people who are supposedly "in the know" I'll believe it when I see it however, I do actually believe its there or there abouts for some reason, I just have a feeling......here's hoping you're right!

Agree0 Disagree0

Kb is leaving tomorrow he's bringing up a coach full of Chelsea fans and there all gonna throw 50 ps at the scoreboard and break it he's then gonna sign the dotted line and get a helicopter to pick him up from the centre spot

Agree1 Disagree0

Either way it's certainly sparked a lot of interest with all the replies, hopefully this rumour will have some substance to it.

Agree1 Disagree0

Shows how much you know fella !
1. Were at home on Tuesday to Hull NOT AWAY
2. Due dilligence was sorted weeks ago
3. Its an indemnity clause holding up the signature(s)
4. Beckford was en route to Huddersfield until Leicester pulled the plug
5. Bates WILL NOT hand over anymore dough for more players !

Agree0 Disagree0

I hope this is true, but I know deep down it's nowhere near the truth. On the tiniest scrap that it could have some substance, Ken Bates should be given the warmest round of applause because of two very good reasons. 1. He actually DID save our great club when THERE WAS NOBODY else willing to do so. You mat not agree, but that is the FACT of the matter. 2. He now has wisely stepped aside and moved on, leaving our great club in very good capable hands, meaning in time we will be back up where we truly belong. Let's celebrate that (when it happens) together and forget all this "pro Bates, anti Bates nonsense for once and for all. MOT>

Agree0 Disagree0

Heard it all before so yer yer yer

Agree0 Disagree0

Whatever happens with the takeover, we badly need a striker ASAP - Beckford fits the bill perfectly. Come on NW - bring the lad back to ER - he has a lot to prove and this could be a great opportunity for Leeds. MOT

Neil has asked the board and chairman for some money to replace the injured R Mc, he is looking to bring in some quality, but quality cost money ... we are us't to disappointment, so I'm sure it will come as no surprise that Neil will have to struggle on with we have.... unless this takeover happens there is no funds for players, and the games against Hull, Frosted & Everton will be will highlight that we are missing some depth and quality in the squad ..... i thin defensively NW has got us sported out ... we need some firepower in the last third if we are hoping to make top 10 , our noisy neighbours are now above us and are also looking to bring in Beckford .... we are becoming a joke, bates has to go..... personally i think we should all stay away for, the Everton game, one game wont kil us, and its on TV .. but it will hurt KB and in the worst place, his pockets !

Believable36 Unbelievable15

How do you say sorted defensively,we still look like conceding,2 Blackpool,3 Blackburn,2 Cardiff, so were far from sorted at the back how many clean sheets.

Agree0 Disagree0

Change the record

Agree0 Disagree0

We need the TO to go through. I know Bates is tight but I understand why he doesnt want to waste money on a loan signing if he is about to sell the club. Its a cost with no asset associated. We need the TO to complete or disappear sharpish. Until this is done I cant see anyone coming in.

Agree0 Disagree0

What a joke on Saturday he says i will ask for something in next 24 hours then lo and behold we are being told nothing before hull game, when will the old so and so just open his chequebook and give NW some money its obvious to all and sundry that we need a striker to replace Ross but what does old scrooge say - nowt but no doubt we will be fed some usual bull in the programme tommorow B A T E S O U T !!!

Agree0 Disagree0

Blah blah blah wats the rumour here from what source...nothing but a stinking pile of negativity and trash talking bates etc...
to the editors why do u allow posts like this this guy isnt posting a rumour or infact anything interesting atall all it leads to is a bunch of people arguing in the comments cumon ed's sort this out this garbage should b posted in teh banter or wateva, geting to teh point i dont even come and read this site anymore for all the trash-talk
KD

Agree0 Disagree0

All you ken bates fan get what you deserve just a sham we have to put up with it as well that means you KD

Agree0 Disagree0

Simple, if your a true fan you will go to the match n if your just a negative person then u wnt but trust it will only b a max of 5% of you fools that wnt go n i dnt see how that would hurt bates, hes very well of so stuff your support

Agree0 Disagree0

So kd if you don't read this site why are you commenting on it?

Jog on mate it's a site for Leeds fans which your not to chat and put there points of view across . Yes slit is rubbish but ignore it

Agree0 Disagree0

Listen i disagree with what bates is doing as much as the next person, what my point here which appears folk havent understood is that all this negativity and doom and gloom is doing noone anygood.
im planning on driving down for the everton game with my mate from glasgow and all ive been seeing latly is people wanting to boycott game and chant against bates etc... this isnt what i want my mate travelling down to see of us! have a bit of dignity
get behind the team and support the players the business side will get sorted eventually leeds are to tasty a treat to let slip by!

NW must be a Pxssed off as we are .. he has been lied to, just the same as us.... the gate at Hull will be low and they will keep falling, Ken if you want to Fuxk the club up, fine, we can't stop you, but i am not paying good money to line your pocket any more..... im done, until you are out of this club, you are an total disgrace to the football club .. bates out !

Don't moan at, its my money and it is up to me how i spend it, I love my club, but Bates is no longer interested in supporting this club and getting us back where we belong, if i cant have say about how my club is run, then i will vote with my feet and stay away !

Bates United .... we need him out now !

Believable31 Unbelievable8

And the team (not Bates) need our backing.

Agree3 Disagree0

Hurting the team to get to bates... great love for the clud...yeh

Agree4 Disagree0

No true Leeds fan would make the team suffer - You've lost it , mate (or you never had it) ... the passion for Leeds United , I man

Agree3 Disagree0

Ed mate. How exactly is this opinion (although of the majority) a rumour ? If I wanted to know how people felt about Ken Bates I'd stick my head out of the window ! {Ed003's Note - remember to open it first mate}

Agree0 Disagree0

I live in aus and don't watch any games live but still love Leeds with a passion and hate every single loss. - for 35 years!
My point is I'm a big fan but don't contribute financially by watching the games anymore.
I think 3 games without support would get bates out and in the big picture of a seasons, it's no big deal
I'm sure he players will understand the supporters are doing it for the long term success of the team
Ausman

Agree0 Disagree0

Whys he not a true fan because he doesnt want to line bates pocket ? im a season ticket holder and have been for the past 5 seasons and ive been going to elland road since i was 9 im now 37
i wont be buying anything from elland rd or paying to go to the cup games because i dont want to line his pockets either... does this make me a non true supporter ? as for the people saying go to the everton game for Gary Speed to show respect... Gary loved leeds and would be turning in his grave at what bates is doing to our club so that excuse to get people to the everton game doesnt wash with me.
its your personal choice wether to go to elland rd or not and for people to say your not a true fan for staying away is a complete joke

George LS13

Agree1 Disagree1

Blindly putting up with watching Leeds fans, team and manager get completly screwed. Watching our midfield turn out for Norwich city. 'great love for the club. yeh.' Take off the blinkers.

Agree0 Disagree0

I agree with George not all true Leeds fans can afford the price of a season ticket. I personally moved to London for a better paid job and I come up to see my daughter who hates football so I cant afford to come back every other week to see them play but I still love my club. I dont know what the best way to get rid of bates is lets just hope the takeover goes through then we can start talking about the team again instead of some crusty old guy

Agree0 Disagree0

How can missing a few games hurt the team moral will will be already low as we dont have enough squad players for all the shirts players will already be fed up of bates false promises

Agree0 Disagree0

Dude plz do stay away as we dnt need need your negative support. leeds could get relegated to division 2 n id still b there supporting them as unlike you im a true supporter so yh plz stay away that will help

Agree0 Disagree1

Why not just ignore everything that's going on behind the scenes and leave that up to them?

The way I see it is I support Leeds, and I enjoy going to Elland Road to watch Leeds United, no matter what. The ups and downs make it interesting. I just like to see a game of football on a Saturday. To be honest, I couldn't care less what the suits are doing in the boardroom.

Maybe if you try that, you might enjoy the matches more. Alternatively, just buy the club, and then you can run it how you like.

Let's just be patient regarding the takeover. These things take time. If you look at the Forest takeover, due diligence and further background checks of internal companies at the club took approx 16 weeks. At Forest there are 4 internal companies (eg Notts Forest Media, Notts Forest Catering etc). That works out at approx 4 weeks per company in terms of time scale.

The problem at Leeds in the way Bates has set the club up. At Forest there are only 4 companies within the club, whilst at Leeds there are 27! This is why it's taking so long. With Bates refusing to sign the indemnity, the potential new owners will checking every minor detail.

The takeover will happen. Just going to have to be patient. MOT.

Believable26 Unbelievable24

That's wrong forest takeover only took bout half the time ur saying it was announced the same time as Leeds takeover was and was complete in July that's notv16 weeks keep clutching at straws for any reson the takeovers not happening

Agree0 Disagree0

So working on that timescale then, a couple of years should see it sorted! 2014/15 season should be something to look forward to.

Agree0 Disagree0

I took forrest two weeks ?

Agree0 Disagree0

We don't know how long the Forest takeover took.

Believable16 Unbelievable21

The takeover is not going to happen tomorrow, that is total cra* .. if this is true where did you get your information from, it wasn't from the from your neighbours, friend, who lived next door to a guy, who's sister went boss, knows a women,. that walks her dog in the same park as the man that once know a man that world at the fish shop opposite Elland Road .... ??

Agree0 Disagree0

I've heard "the takeover will be done by...." on here a million times. Correct, I heard it hear first......about 3 months ago! Stop this "I know for certain when the takeover will happen" rubbish because everyone knows that you in fact know nothing.

Agree0 Disagree0

One day someone will say this and will be right. Not because they actually have a clue just because someone comes and says it practically every day. I say it will happen on Friday (dunno which friday but hey if I have to pick a day friday sounds good to me lol)

Agree0 Disagree0

Get a life i know this is a roumor site but i am sick of hearing about this takeover we need replacements now not in 3 months time else the season will be over before it has even started bates out you are killing this club bates out! bates out!bates out!
