Heard from a good source at Leeds that B McD wants a director of football to help him build infrastructure at the club & assist him with player identification and negotiations etc. thinks it too wider brief for a manager these days with the amount of work involved. He is used to working with Nicky Hammond at Reading, but apparently that's a no-go. The four names on the list for the job are-
1. Brian Deane- poss to be brought back from Sparsborg 08 in Norway.
2. Peter Haddock.
3. David Weatherall.
4. Steve Coppell.
Personally think it would work and allow us to be that bit more efficient in our operations. Deane would be a good shout but I would personally go for Haddock.
I wouldn't pick Haddock. In that job he would be a fish out of water. Even if he does know the plaice he would flounder
There's a name I haven't heard in a while. Sound full back in his day was old Fish. Quality tash and mullet wearer too. in a day before the tash became all trendy with the Movember crowd.
Mad Mick
When I was a kid and I took a shot and missed i'd say 'aw, Brian Deane!'. come on mate, you just made this up didn't you?
You mean the same Peter Haddock whose experience since retiring as a player is as a Baker, a Postman and a Courier?
I think captain haddock would be a better leader
Love that first reply!
Something fishy going on here
