I know we got beat tonight but we were certainly not an embarrassment, I thought in the 1st half be matched Chelsea followed by a fantastic goal by becchio, ok class showed in the second half but hey Chelsea are not European champions for nothing, so well done Leeds. Don't get dishearten about the result, let's look forward to beating boro on Saturday, best thing about tonight though is to see that Somma on the bench, bright things ahead I think! Come on Leeds MOT

Believable106 Unbelievable14

We did well tonight and learned quite a bit about our team.
Centre backs were brilliant particularly Lees, Young Sam Byram is a class act BUT physically is two years from being the real deal, Moses was too powerful. peltier as we all know is out of position and a weak link. The three in midfield Tong Brown and Green are good cahmpionship players but out of their depth at that level and their fitness is in question. Douf can play at any level, Becchio was a threat and Thomas was neat tidy and showed why he can play higher.
All in all a good night for leeds and i hope that Neil gets some pace up front and in midfield as we approach the transfer window

Agree3 Disagree0

Lads played really well only gripe ive got is why on earth was lampard still on the pitch after 2 first half tackles from behind ones a sending
Off but 2 he should av walked and also we had a def penalty shout at 3-1 that could av changed game.o and then lampard goes on t win man o match.

Agree0 Disagree0

Also showed why we should fill ER as much as possible, best fans in the world and can really make it a tough atmosphere for any opposition.

Agree0 Disagree0

Matta actually got man of match on sky but point taken about lampard the one on diouf was particularly bad

What I don't get is why would you use your 2nd choice goalkeeper on a big game like this!

Believable15 Unbelievable46

Yeah I know. He only made 2 amazing saves. What a let down. Get a grip.

Agree4 Disagree0

I thought he was excellent kept us in the game

Agree4 Disagree0

I agree with the first reply fans like you make me sick if it wasnt for ashdown chelsea would of scored 10!

Agree3 Disagree0

Because it was not a big game. Middlesborough will be a big game. And Ashdown was superb. I remember when Revie used to use Harvey like that; and then he became THE keeper.

Agree0 Disagree0

You mean the 2nd choice goalkeeper that kept us in the game 1st half? Luckily we have 2 decent keepers so I wouldn't begrudge warnock using ashdown

Agree2 Disagree0

You mean the same goalkeeper who got us through all the previous rounds?

Agree2 Disagree0

I thought he was fantastic and if it was up to me I'd let him start against boro on sat aswel. Very impressed.

Agree1 Disagree0

He was class! I think he deserves a chance in the league

Agree0 Disagree0

Sorry but I think ashdown is a better keeper then kenny, kenny is slow now days snd all he is good for is kicking the ball up field in good posisitions MOT

Agree0 Disagree0

Ashdown should be no.1 based on that performance.

Agree0 Disagree0

I'd think its probably good to keep your 2nd choice sharp by playing in games like this, you dont want to have to rely on him coming in out the blue, we dont want another rechubka!!

Agree1 Disagree0

Good keeper and Warnock does right to play him in this game... I think he'll play in FA Cuo too

Agree1 Disagree0

Ashdown played well made good saves

Agree1 Disagree0

Superb Performance by Ashdown...Made 4 or 5 cracking saves.

Agree1 Disagree0

I thought ashdown had a very good game . 1 mistake but several excellent saves.

Agree1 Disagree0

Because he better keeper than kenny

Agree0 Disagree0

He was absolutely fantastic i dont think you know what your on about if he hadnt made some of the saves he made it could have been a lot more...

Agree0 Disagree0

Before that game we had conceded 1 goal in the cup that alone justifies his position

Agree0 Disagree0

MOM performance, still dont think he could do much about the first goal hard and low on a wet slippery surface, wouldnt think must keepers would even get down to it.

On the plus side, 1 million times better than Rubbergloves.

Agree0 Disagree0

Cos he is class act and needs a game, he played well apart from one mistake but kenny needs to be pushed, also this was not a big game, getting promoted in league is big games, carling captial one milk cup is not a big deal in any way...proud of the boys as well mot

Agree0 Disagree0

Only reason ashdown would starts in the league would be if kenny was injured, warnock wouldnt drop him for casillas

Brilliant news, Somma on bench, well pleased for him, i hope he can rediscover the form he previously showed

Believable57 Unbelievable8

Hats off to him, proved me wrong.

Agree0 Disagree0

5 goals conceeded, in 45 mins. 6 vs watford. 1 trophy in 40 years. 8 years in oblivion, i really hope our new owners have some real money, because how long can we live in the past. neil,

Agree0 Disagree2

I think it was about giving him a confidence boost tonight .hope he gets some sort of game time soon

Agree1 Disagree0

Agree with second poster. Problem is thye dont have any more money than Bates. They may put more money in than Bates but they dont have the money to compete with Chelsea. I feel very depressed. We have Michael Brown they have Juan Mata, need I say more

Agree0 Disagree1

Depressed? We have Brown they have Mata?
Chelsea pay there reserves more than we can pay our first team players, they are prem top 5 and Euro champs. Torres earns more than our entire team and cost more too. Time to wake up and smell the coffee. They put 6 past wolves 5 past man utd. We got beat by one of the top teams in the world. MOT

Agree1 Disagree0

Actually, Torres didn't cost more than our team, he cost more than GFH spent acquring our entire club

Agree0 Disagree0

LOL at the last comment that puts everything in prospective, Torres costing more than our entire club! TBF though I thought lees and Pearce did great, Torres was terrible scored one tap in (which meant nothing, and Peltier should have stopped him.) did he even make an assist!

Agree0 Disagree0

To be fair to Torres, his movement off the ball was fantastic - when Hazard scored, Torres just drew Lees and Pearce miles away, and it was basically Hazard v Ashdown. He might not have scored loads, but when you look at what he does off the ball, he's still a top class player.

If WBA dont agree a fee for Thomas NW will go for Max Gradel as he is a fans fav

Believable34 Unbelievable29

Which is about the worse reason I can think of for buying him back. Move on. When has it ever worked for a player returning back to a club unless it is to see out their careers such as Gray and Lorimer?

Agree0 Disagree1

I cannot honestly see NW going for some player just because he's the fans fave, i think he's far more intelligent than that.

its usually when a player has come back after 4+ seasons that they dont perform the same . we usually sell a young player playing with confidence but when we bring them back they are low on confidence ,probably been out injured for a year and obviously several years older than they were .if gradel comes back hes been playing with confidence since he left and will carry on if he comes back

Agree1 Disagree0

Id take gradel back anyday, alot better than thomas!

Agree1 Disagree0

Bring back mad max! U know it makes sense NW
MOT!

Agree1 Disagree0

Batty did ok when we brought him back... for about a season... then he was past it and contributed heavily to our collapse

Agree0 Disagree0

Contributed heavily to our collapse? So are you suggesting that if he hadn't played, we'd have had a chance of staying up? We collapsed because we sold all our players. We collapsed because we were up to our ears in debt. We collapsed because of Ridsdale.

just heard lescott has had a meeting with warnock about a loan move until the end of the season

Believable11 Unbelievable84

We couldnt afford his boots never mind his wages off £90,000 a week

Agree2 Disagree0

You do no santas not real this would never happen in a million years playing in the man city reserves is more appealing then dropping down to a mid-table championship club

Agree0 Disagree0

Heavens above

19 Dec 2012 16:12:28
he may well be on about aaron lescott!

Tommo MOT!!

Agree0 Disagree0

I think you mean Prescott as in John for advice on the forthcoming LUFC budget and to ensure we don't go back into debt like we did in the past.

Agree0 Disagree0

He didn't say which Lescott. It's Alan Lescott who plays for The Plough on a Sunday morning when they're short!

Agree0 Disagree0

We are going to be linked with everyone, great to see the lunatics posting on here.

Agree0 Disagree0

What do you mean Santa aint real??? Who the hell brings me presents then?

Agree0 Disagree0

Why was Warnock talking about Lescott's loan move to Everton?
