Think they might just want to get him off the wage book and registered team sheet Swalad, he is already 3rd choice striker and they are set to bring another in in Jan is my understanding. Also 1 goal in 13, not really pulling up any trees for them.

If you are right Gumm, at 2 mill an absolute steal. However getting off the wage book I can't understand. He is hardly on big wages and was surely bought as a long term investment?

Have to agree Lancaster but he was OK in this division. I'd rather see defoe personally.

Fletcher won't score a lot of goals but he's got to be better than doukara as a striker, I love doukara btw but he definitely ain't a lone striker imo, to have someone like Fletcher on the bench definitely fills me with more confidence than having antonsson.

Bit unfair swaddled, anttonson hasn't really been given a chance or a run in the team. I remember a certain Mr Beckford not been so good at first.

Much like Beckford (and Somma for that matter) I think he would benefit dropping down a league for the second half of the season. He has the skill but not the physicality to compete in the championship. Lg1 would put him against players to build on his physicality whilst his skill carries him. First team in Lg1 will be a step up from U23 action, where he has decent strike rate, so he should hopefully develop a little faster.

Not good enough for that kind of money, I'd rather get an experienced striker who knows the league. Also Antonsson deserves a proper chance, no ten mins from the bench.

Thats why I think a loan move would do him good SG. If we where in our normal mid season obscurity then getting him in the starting 11 for a few matches to find his feet would be fine but, while we are in the middle of a tight promotion push, we can only have players starting that can come straight in and do the business which right now in our squad is Wood and only Wood. If someone like Nugent does come in that pushes him further down because he is another proven player.

Very good point made above re Antonsson and the comparison with Beckford and Somma. Big jump from Scandi leagues to Champ in terms of intensity and quality of players.
