Zak whitbread plus 3mill for snodgrass. This will happen the clubs are just waiting for snoddys answer.

Believable14 Unbelievable26

Plus whitbread? is he not out of contract in the summer?

Agree0 Disagree0

If so I hope Snoddy sticks up 2 fingers and stays on - sick of not been able to keep players long term

Agree0 Disagree0

Terrible deal since Whitbread's out of contract in the summer...

Agree0 Disagree0

This has been posted before, he's out of contract so he's hardly part of any deal

Agree0 Disagree0

1st time poster.
A mate of mine knows Snoddy and his agent. He loves it at Leeds and is on a good deal so money not a problem he is worried on player comings and goings. Also if he goes it will be the boards decision as he likes NW just concerned like the rest of us on players in/outs. Also Paynter who is rated by NW has a few offers. I think todays retain list will give us/snoddy a clearer picture.
MOT

Agree0 Disagree0

U having a laugh sure its not fatima whitbread plus £3mill

Agree0 Disagree0

Whitbreads out of contract so norwich cant really decide where he goes and include him in a deal

Remember wilkinson when he was building his squad he $tarted with good keeper 2 great fullb acks with pace who could cross the ball 2 dominant centre halfs who could play 4 midfielders to die for each.with completly different qualities and quick forwards with skill and oh chapman a player in the mould of painter who could actually score. This is the recipie for success nw. Do what you have to do to get us back where we belong

Believable15 Unbelievable3

Mel Sterland, and pace in the same sentence!? Now that's funny!

Agree0 Disagree0

Mel was a great crosser of the ball, could teach many modern pro's a thing or six today!

But I agree I think it was more momentum than raw pace that carried him forwards. I'm sure people in the Kop had fear in their eyes as the flying pig came hurtling towards them ;o)

Agree0 Disagree0

I goalie paddy kenny down, jason pearse down,el hadj diouf down do u see a pattern

Agree0 Disagree0

Main problem with this is the team being quoted was the championship winning team not the promotion winning team which had more journeymen who knew how to work as a team ie Strachan , Shutt , Davison , Haddock , Fairclough , Jones , Beglin etc mixed with that was a few kids coming through.

Agree0 Disagree0

01 May 2012 18:17:18
What does everyone think about Erik Huseklepp? He is pretty tricky, got relatively good pace and Portsmouth are likely to sell him.

Believable26 Unbelievable10

He is set to return to his hometown club, SK Brann in the summer.

Agree0 Disagree0

Possible move. spent last part of the season on loan at birmingham so may be more likely to go there. especially if they get promoted via play offs (i dont think they will though)

Looking to sign DJ Campbell from QPR...
Not got much of a look in since Hughes took over
Warnock rates him hence he signed him at QPR
Fee would be around £800,000

Believable13 Unbelievable12

800,000!!uncle ken won't part with so much for one player

Agree0 Disagree0

01 May 2012 17:47:00
Come on aidy sign a new contract your still a young lad if you leave you will regret it like so many others that have left the club you only need to look at what as happened to the two that chelsea took of us in taiwo and woods mot 4 life?

Believable15 Unbelievable4

Cant see him signing, think NW made a statement about him on last day of season by not playing him or even on the bench..think AW thinks he is better than he is, let him go

Agree0 Disagree0

He's been tried in a few different positions and has been average at best.

Agree0 Disagree0

He didnt play him on the last day of the season because he had an ankle injury.

Agree0 Disagree0

Why is it that any player that doesn't sign the first contact offer is suddenly useless and not good enough anyway but if they do sign are the best player ever ,very fikle I think ,good luck with warnocks stiff neck style of football

Htafc

Agree0 Disagree0

Aidy has lots of pace but unfortunately not the skill to match, let him go

Nottingham forest winger paul anderson is set to join leeds on a free transfer?

Believable14 Unbelievable10

Would love this to be true as he is seriously good footballer

Have a feeling we will be disappointed this window, de javu? He is probably tryin to make profit for bates like Grayson did...

Believable8 Unbelievable20

Nw is not a yes man do u believe that he would of joined are club if ken bates didnt promise a decent budget he can't of been short of options he said the other day he had choice of joining wolves

Agree0 Disagree0

The season only just ended Mr glass is half empty.give the man a chance.

Agree0 Disagree0

If bates is going to make a profit, he will struggle to do it through player sales. besides - it doesn't cost bates anything anyway, since the club has to work within its own means, so it will only spend what it can afford. add into the mix the offloading of all the useless players (of which we have plenty), then we have a fair bit of money to spend.

besides the easiest way to make a profit is get promoted and get the £46m in TV revenue anyway.

Agree0 Disagree0

Your right first of all warnock was talking about getting players in asap and now here is a more recent quote of his.

"I go away at the end of May for a couple of weeks and in my own mind I want to have at least three or four lads lined up by that stage."

lol in his own mind and 2weeks from the end of may so were now talkin middle of june at the earliest. Ok so jason pearce is supposedly a done deal and thats fair enough but as for other transfers I will believe it when I see it. I dont have a problem with warnock but I have a big problem with bates. I could post some bates quotes about our summer transfer policy and agents the euros and olympics etc but whats the point we all have read them and some fans take it on board and the rest are just deluded as they where last summer. Im not holding my breath thats for sure.

Agree0 Disagree0

How can nw be a yes man when earlier in his carear he turned down bates at chelsea. come on lads how quick do u think signings take be real. mot4life

Agree0 Disagree0

bristol city have had an 8 player clear out, wonder if warnock will snap up top players like james, or Mcallister, we know how bates loves a freebie

Believable5 Unbelievable14

If they've been released by Bristol City they aren't top players.

"I've always said, when I leave Leeds united I want to leave the club with a team they're proud of - a team that just needs the odd one or two players, not a massive change. I want a team they can be proud of irrespective of results." Neil's targets are obviously not all the wrong side of 30 then, if he wants to set us up in good stead for the future.

If Snodgrass won't sign his contract sell him NOW!

By selling someone who's not good enough for the Premiership, we should have enough money to sign a few who actually may be.

Snodgrass has a few tricks, but he's too slow and he also seems a bit of a sulker. He started the season poorly, had a good middle part, but then ended it poorly too. He was awful on Saturday & didn't look particularly interested.

There's no need for all this panic over him. The time to cash in is now. This time next year we'll be saying "Robert who?".

Believable16 Unbelievable21

No need to panic lads and lasses, he's only our best player and captain!

Agree0 Disagree0

Not really clayton has been this season, fact!!

Agree0 Disagree0

By winning players player award and fans player award i think thats evidence enough he has been our best player. clayton has look lost in midfield since we lost howson.

Agree0 Disagree0

Snodgrass is very sporadic, when he puts on a performance he is very good but im sad so say this isnt often enough, if some club comes in with a sensible offer and the money raised will benefit the club by bringing in quality players then let him go.

Agree0 Disagree0

He did have his appendix out and was back 2 weeks later that shows how much he has put into this season

Agree0 Disagree0

Yeah lets sell are best player and sign the british olympic runnin team. Say we are goin up, we are goin up lol

Agree0 Disagree0

I partly agree with both points of view , on his day Snoddy is a good player and makes Leeds tick but the problem is he doesnt have too many of those and like someone said he sulks when things dont go his way. He has a distinct lack of pace. On saturday both him and Ross looked rather disinterested and seemed intent on blaming everyoneelse when things went wrong. I think his lack of pace will mean he will be an average lower prem player at best.

Agree0 Disagree0

An average to lower prem player at best? And how many of those do we have in our team? Who do u think is goin to replace him some top prem player? Pace isn't everything just ask van der vart.

Agree0 Disagree0

If i was surrounded by the players that snods is surrounded by, I'd sulk too.

trust me, by the time NW has sorted out the team, Snoddy won't be sulking anymore.

Agree0 Disagree0

Have you ever thought that its the players around him that aren't good enough. yes he's slow, but he gets about the pitch and when he gets the ball everyone seems to disappear to the other side of the pitch and not help out. How can one man be expected to carry a team, especially when he's immediately closed down by 3 players when he gets the ball. He looked a better player when he had a good full back behind him that could help support him. Frazer Richardson and even Andy Hughes used to give him that support

Agree0 Disagree0

Who needs cesc fabregas cos we've got robert snodgrass (8) (y)

Agree0 Disagree0

Pace isnt everything. snoddy has the 2nd most assists in the championship, behind chris burke of birmingham.

Agree0 Disagree0

If you are not happy in your job but have talent and a good reputation you get approaches and usually move on to pastures new hopefully with a bigger salary. What makes a footballer any different, his body language says he will not be wearing the White shirt of Leeds next season, so accept it he will move. Get as much as possible for him and reinvest it wisely, it will also be intersting to read posts about him in Dec / Jan when he is warming the bench at somewhere like West Brom or Norwich becsuse his lack of all round ability has caught up with him !

Agree0 Disagree0

As he's our only creative threat, as someone has already correctly posted, he's marked 3 to 1 ! World class players struggle with this. We need someone on the opposite wing who is a threat too to make it harder for them to shut us out. You can't mark 3 to 1 on both sides! Thats why we miss Gradel. If Warnock gets in some more creative quality players Snodgrass will come into his own again and take us up.

Agree0 Disagree0

It's too easy to double up on Snods. We looked a better threat with gradel on the other.wing as it stopped teams being able to double up on both wingers.Snods will do better with another winger in the side.Dare I say puncheon?

Alan smith isnt definatly retiring he only said he never rules anything out so stop posting hes retering when hes probs not

Believable10 Unbelievable7

Smithy said if the right deal doesn't come across he'll go back to the mags as a coach, let's hope we give him the right deal ;)

Agree0 Disagree0

Lets hope wenever hear from him again,or the sad people who keep banging on about him,hes history, let it be.

Agree0 Disagree0

Of course he's retiring. Do you honestly think for one minute he believes that he's good enough for anything other than League 1 ? He knows its time to drop out rather than be ridiculed when he doesnt deliver the goods at any higher level. Stop wasting time dreaming on.

Agree0 Disagree0

When will the rumours of Alan Smith stop? He is injury prone and if so good why has he spent time in 3rd division this year. Not good enough.

Agree0 Disagree0

He knows he wont get any decent offers thats why hes coming out and saying this. Saving face.

Agree0 Disagree0

Why we even having this discussion? It bears no relevance to our future.

Agree0 Disagree0

01 May 2012 13:36:35
Thompson, Bromby and the Turner twins won't be released. Bromby is injured and the others are young, promising players therefore they'll be kept.

Believable19 Unbelievable6

01 May 2012 12:56:39
Before anyone starts with the Alan Smith rumours again for ther next 3 months, ive heard that he will retire after this season and return to Newcastle to become youth team coach

Believable13 Unbelievable14

Why not consider being in leeds academy....thought he was leeds through and through....less wages what a surprise

Beckford=goals=promotion=premier league=30,000+ average attendance

Believable28 Unbelievable14

Beckford=£3 million transfer fee+£40k a week wages=administration=points deduction=league one

Agree0 Disagree0

Beckford would cost too much in both fee and wages...no chance

Agree0 Disagree0

Bothroyd = more goals than beckford= promotion etc.

Agree0 Disagree0

I'm sure that's what Leicester were thinking...

Agree0 Disagree0

01 May 2012 12:35:47
players to leave elland road as follows
paul rachubka
paul connoly
andy o'brien
leigh bromby
zac thompson
michael brown
turner twins
billy paynter
probably a few released from the youth squads etc...

Believable13 Unbelievable20

Looks like a good start though i`d be tempted to keep Zac Thompson

Agree0 Disagree0

Get your fact right u numpty!

Cant release Leigh Bromby as he is injured and wont even be fit till Feb 2013, so how does he leave!, plus the insurance will be paying his wages....

Your just guessing...fact only please

Agree0 Disagree0

The Turner twins are supposed to be pretty good aren't they? Think they might stay on at least another season.

Would keep Thompson and give O'Brien pre-season to impress as well

Agree0 Disagree0

Unbelievable as the entire group of scholars (youths) have been told they will be retained for next year).

Agree0 Disagree0

Personally think Michael Brown may get a rolling one month contract, to see how well he does in pre-season.

I think Warnock likes the partnership of Brown and Clayton.

As for Zac Thompson if he isn't in the plans next season, he will be loaned out like Charlie Taylor.

Agree0 Disagree0

Zac Thompson won't be released nor will the Turner twins. A number of pro contracts have been given to the current U18 squad this week. The Turners and a number of the U18 squad will form the core of the new U21 squad next season under Neil Redfearn.

Agree0 Disagree0

It depends on whether NW believes he can get the best out of Obrien and Paynter as to whether he lets them go or not. In terms of the kids they have already been retained and will be the back up to a smaller experienced squad next season. IMO he will retain and recruit around 16-20 pros with the rest juniors.

Agree0 Disagree0

All the young 1s mentioned will be sent on loan to get experience while z, Thompson will probably play a small part in the season .

Agree0 Disagree0

Its a rumours site not a fact site. so to the guy that called the poster a numpty... do 1 u fool

Agree0 Disagree0

You dont release your up and coming youngsters! im glad you're not running the team mate, or we'd be screwed!

Agree0 Disagree0

BECHIO not on your list ? He's first on mine to go. Too slow, lacks pace and runs out of steam far too early in the game. He's not a 90min man anymore. Love him to bits but..... bye bye

Agree0 Disagree0

01 May 2012 10:50:17
Snoddy to be sold for a fee circa £3million

Money to be spent on new attacking 3 to play behind Becchio:

George Boyd (Peterborough) £950,000
Robert Koren (Hull) Free but decent wages
Sone Aluko (Rangers) Nominal fee

aslo looking at Clingan to partner Clayton behind these three.

The feeling being that this will provide a more balanced midfield than this season making us less one dimensional on attack.

Believable13 Unbelievable21

I sold snoddy for 7 mil, and Becchio put in a transfer request because he wasn't happy with weather so I bought rhodes and lallana, sorry are we still talking FIFA12?

Agree0 Disagree0

This may have been more believable if you hadn't added they were being bought to play behind Becchio!

Agree0 Disagree0

Why would we accept 3 mil for snoddy we turned down more than that in the last 2 seasons and we should be looking at around 5-7 mil or fee + px player . we will only get offered a reduced fee for snoddy when we get to January .

Agree0 Disagree0

Would love to see Aluko and Boyd join us, need a Dorrans type player to sign also to convince Snoddy to sign on. After that one striker in place of 2 on the books, one centre back, one left back. Cannot see it been that hard for Warnock, pull the youngsters along and with 5 quality signings we should be there or there abouts. The players are out there, go get them, MOT.

Agree0 Disagree0

Why would we spend £950k on a player that would be available for free?

Agree0 Disagree0

Warnock has already stated Snods is going nowhere before Xmas....

Agree0 Disagree0

Would rather sign beckford back, quality player at this level, could bang goals in for fun.

Agree0 Disagree0

Really? Bang in goals for fun?. That would be why he scored 9 in 39 games at this level for Leicester. Hilarious.

Agree0 Disagree0

Aluko and Boyd are possible signings but why would you go for Korans when he turned us down before? If Snoddy wants to leave then why stand in his way , get what we can and to the comment about value yes he was worth more last year but has shorter contract now hence the money may go down unless we open it to auction. Dont want to see him go but he will in 12 months anyway , Beckford was kept because he could score the goals to take us up but Snoddy cant do that alone.

Agree0 Disagree0

Forgot to add why do we keep getting linked with Clingan? This is now under 2 managers who have differing ideas?

Agree0 Disagree0

George Boyd is out of contract this summer mate..

Agree0 Disagree0

01 May 2012 10:31:23
Rumours from Glasgow saying that Warnock has made enquiries into Sasa Papac. he is on a free in the summer and with us not having a notable left back, possibly a good signing to help shore the up left hand side of defence. great experience and im sure he would do a job at this level. also wages not a stumbling block.

Believable18 Unbelievable6

The same papac who's just got injured and is out for the season? C'mon we need better players than him, no oldies thanks.
