I first thought that but grayson said hes an international defender which anton clearly is not

Anton isn't an international defender and he wasn't surplus to requirements at Sunderland because he was playing for them. He also didn't stay at Sunderland and our targeted defender stayed at his club because he felt he had an opportunity to get back into his team's starting eleven. Also, I don't think Sunderland nearly signed a defender anyway which would of led to his sale. My bet was that it was Sebastion Bassong. Not playing at Tottenham (surplus to requirements you could say), Tottenham tried to bring in Gary Cahill which meant Bassong could leave, he's a Cameroon international and because Gary Cahill stayed at Bolton, he didn't get a move. He perfectly fits Grayson's description

Probably Stephen Kelly because Hutton signed for Villa not Fulham

Nobody of that kind of calibre is coming to Leeds. We already have loads of defenders anyway. Our poor defensive record is due to poor TEAM selection and poor tactics. Grayson is not able to coach a TEAM in how to defend. All the players have a responsibility. I am sick of reading about how we need to sign defenders and how that will solve all of our problems. Midfield should be the priority as it is very lightweight. Too many attack minded players. Bromby or Bruce maybe alongside Brown with Howson, Clayton and Snodgrass in front of them might just work. Let's face it, we ain't signing anyone!

Leeds to sign 4 or 5 loan players next week. Bridge will be one I reckon.

Bridge just named in Man City's 25 man Champions League squad, which would make this unlikely.

We'll try and get Watt (almost definatly gonna happen) then Rose who can play at left back/left wing, then if we don't get him, we'll go for Bridge..

Leeds to look at french Defensive midfielder Hans Dibi, 23. Player is currently unnatached and so is available to sign after window. Deal has come about as player's agent is same agent as Max gradel.

Seriously, why should we take any player from that agent... he was the sole reason why Max had his head turned.

no suprise today is it that theres nothing on off website ref transfers missed out on.
well thats cos we missed out on nobody cos we didnt try.
i read another post that lux,mendy forsell and bodor still available,no surprise either cos nobody wants them cos they are not good enough.

Grayson didn't sign anyone yesterday because

a) he didn't want to be ripped off by inflated deadline day transfer fees

and b) he's confident in what he has at the moment will do ok til January, meanwhile he can do some serious scouting for gems like Nunez etc. to fill the vacant positions in the squad.

C) Bates is a c*nt and grayson should grow a pair

Bates saving up to buy elland road? Mate, he already owns it. He charges Leeds United a monthly rent. Why else do you think he's happy to spend the clubs money on tarting up the place?

Bates already owns ER through one of his offshore companies. He will sell it back to LUFC post 2012 Olympics to get best price and after all refurbishments done.

Nobody in their right mind would spend money on a property they didn't own, certainly not the amount of money Bates is pushing in to Elland Road.

Actually I even charge my own company rent for a room in my own house, as it's a tax free way of legitimately taking money out of a company. Otherwise I would have to pay someone else to use an office or whatever, so why shouldn't I di that?

No doubt there's an agreed buy back figure in the contract, therefore money spent improving the ground is not wasted or increasing the purchase price. However it will increase the value of the asset to lufc. Once bought, and I hope it's soon, they will at last have an asset to borrow against. Which at the moment you can see they are struggling for credit as there is no security to satisfy any bank.

Danny Wilson - Failed to move out on loan to Rangers
Jay Spearing - New liverpool signings means lack of playing time
Mama Diouf - Will not get a look in at Man U and Fergie would like him to be playing in front of big crowds.

Not of these of course will happen and we will end up with rubbish.

Does anyone else think that maybe Simon Grayson is NOT in charge of transfer targets, but Shaun Harvey? Grayson gets given players based on the poor wages we offer to unregistered players and is told to work with what he's got? Kinda like a Technical Director with Grayson as his puppet

Of course he's not in charge. Transfers involve contracts and transfer fees. Those 2 things revolve around money. Bates is in charge of the money and Harvey does his dirty work for him by telling Grayson what he can and can't do. Soon if we are not there already Grayson will be asking Harvey for permission to have toilet breaks when he feels a call of nature.

Think he means we will announce them today having completed the signings last night. If i'm not mistaken we did that a couple of years ago, can't remember who it was though and i might be wrong

Why is everyone surprised i didnt bother tuning in to Sky to see Stoke ****** city fans for gods sake & other smaller clubs soending big, Question is we are supposed to be a big one city club with apparently the 4th highest ticket prices in the land, all merchandise only available from the club,3000 capacity members bar etc etc & regular crowds of 25,000+ every home game so why dont we act like a big club? Have leeds signed anyone, all ive seen is good players going and no good players coming back in, we need one or two more midfielders, a better defender bcos kisnorbo doesnt look good enough for this league, new winger (to fill in from gradel) and possibly another new striker (tempory until somma and bechio get back fit), anyone have news on deadline day?

Doesn't look like they've signed anyone..It's a bit poor considering the weak squad they have.
