My mate who usually pretty good says white agreed new 3 year deal and that warnock personally wanted him offered more but had to wait till take over done to free up funds
If contract true then takeover should be here

Ed, news im hearing is that takeover deal is completed, to be annouced today..no value know but thorp arch and elland road are part of the deal, bought from the two 'unknown' current owners, who are connected to Uncle Ken, truth comes out in the end!

Been told by someone on the Leeds United coaching staff that David Norris and Luke Varney are having medicals at Thorp Arch today, Warnock wants the deals signed before the squad head to Cornwall.

Luke varney has already had a medical at thorpe arch a week ago after training with the leeds united players for a few days.. and im led to believe norris has agreed terms with sheffield weds? not 100% on the norris thing but i know varney bit is true.

I'd be absolutely amazed if we could land either of them, 2 of some of the best prospects to be playing in Scotland, I'd be buzzing if we got them

if snodders wants to go then let him go on our terms not his or anybody elses, we dont need him. also it looks like Barry Kewell might be in an opposition team at Elland Road this season that could be an interesting afternoon you wont be welcomed back

I don't see why Warnock wants him, Warnock has emphasised his desired for pace within the team and Snoddy is slow and skillful, would much rather see a quick and less skillful winger than him at ER! Don't get me wrong, I think he's a good player but doesn't suit the Championship well!

We do need pace, yes but with snoddy on the right, I'd like to see the pace on the left and at right back. You can't just take our best player out of the team. He reads the game unbelievably well for a young player, he's not too quick but he makes teams play at his pace. He's great on and off the ball. Scores and creates 25+ goals every season.Any championship team would do well to hold onto him.There's a reason why prem teams are after him. He's one of the best players in the championship and would by no means be one of the worst in the prem.
We could not replace snodgrass if we sold him, on normal circumstances, a snodgrass with 3 years remaining would cost 6-7 million. That's the full amount an owner can put in for transfers per season at our level.

I'm all for " if a player doesn't want to play for us then let him leave". But snoddy does want to play for us, he just wants the club to show some ambition, which means an increase in wages and some very good signings.I think the signings we've made are good and solid for our level. But I think snoddy wants better at his end of the pitch. We're still waiting on that.

Warnock looking for a sub keeper, RB, LM, CM and striker before season starts

And if this is the case my personal preference would be as follows:

GK - McCarthy
RB - Naughton (Probably a bit expensive) / Peltier / McNaughton
LM - Whittingham / Kightly
CM - Whittingham / Burke
ST - Maynard / Beckford

These players are obviously my own opinion, besides currently with KB in charge we would defo not be able to afford them all, however get this takeover sorted and who knows :) MOT SussexLeeds

^No chance of signing Naughton, Whittingham or Maynard but I did like the look of Burke last season when he played at ER for Birmingham, looked quicker than White at times!

Fair play, maybe not Naughton or Whittingham as both will ply their trade at the top level, but Maynard for me is one to keep an eye on, West Ham are currently spending, they have 6 recognisable strikers including Maynard, think we should monitor his situation as I can't see him being a first choice option for Allardyce next season, heres hoping anyway :) MOT SussexLeeds

PSJ - We currently have about 6 centre backs at the club, albeit I am hoping 2 of them will not be around come the start of the season, but there is nothing wrong with Tom Lees, Paddy Kisnorbo, Jason Pearce (Portsmouth fans rate him) and Adam Drury (Been around for a long time now, played championship and premier league level for a lot of his career), I am pretty happy with what we have defensively now, who would you like to see come in? To the poster on about tommy lee I'm a Leeds fan from chesterfield and tommy lee would be a brilliant back up keeper and push paddy all the way for the no1 shirt...........kevlufc

Romelu Lukaku is open to a loan move, we would be stupid not too go for him, he would tear the Championship apart and be a great signing! Come on Warnock, sign him up!

I also heard that Fulham were interested in a loan move, which would be better for him to get prem experience. No chance

I agree, however i think he will probably go to Italy or Germany or somewhere like that.

We're not going to get a player Chelsea paid £13m for possibly rising to £18m, you're right he would tear-up our division but he'd also do a job for a Premier League club

And he's a loan player. I've said this before, but why would Warnock start looking for loan players when he doesn't like em, and would prefer to get an actual team in.

just heard that johnny russel is in his way to leeds, so is david templeton

Both pacy with good potential. Just what we need if we can get one or the other of them. I Like the look of templeton but originally thought he would be outside our price bracket.

David templeton is a brill midfielder n Neva heard of the other lad but worth a shot I'll be better then billy barndoor paynter n Luke varny

I'd like both players i've seen templeton play and he's pretty good lots of potential. ROBBO

Russell has been very good for the last couple pf seasons Templeton was in and out at hearts last year or so due to injuries and loss of form , like Snodgrass started his senior career very young only 15 at Stenhousemuir he does have something

Templeton is like Snoddy but faster. However at 5"6 is he too small?

Mike, 5'6 is small for a midfielder, but it's not too small. Heard of a certain Mr Messi?! Pretty sure he is dominating the world and he is only 5'7. Came across Russell whilst playing fifa with leeds, had to sign him; looks pacey and good finish (Fifa).

Anyone else remember mr aaron lennon? not exactly tall but one of the best wingers in the prem imo!

YR reporting an increased bid for Snoddy from Norwich. {Ed013's Note - Morning, they won't give up will they!}

YEP to also report that the Austin and Varney deal is close, that the takeover is imminent and that McCormack, Snoddy and Whites futures are to be resolved, different day same reports by the paper

The thing is norwich city can have him for right price! That's if he wants to go to norwich it a step backwards imo. Foooook him if he wants to gi let him. we are Leeds dont want no one staying who doesnt want to play for the mighty whites

I wish people would stop slagging Snoddy off!

He hasn't asked to leave or go anywhere in particular - yet!

If he does decide to move on - that's the time to knock him or wish him well, otherwise get behind him and show him we want him to stay - rather than give him a reason to leave?

Lets be honest. There is no loyalty in football anymore. The last twenty years of the premiership have killed that, amongst other things. The basic facts are that snodgrass can earn more money at the moment at Norwich. Fact, wether we llike it or not. ''we are a bigger club'' is a pointless arguement. Financially we are not. Lets hope that changes over the next couple of years! Modern day footballers are mercenaries, they will go where the money is. Thats not their fault, its the system that stinks. So dont blame snoddy when he leaves. If you were offered a massive pay rise would you turn it down? No. So, he will go when the price is right. Oh for the days of the maximum wage. You can blame Jimmy Hill really for the dawn of greedy footballers.

It's not a question of us giving up, Snoddy is in constant touch with Jhonson and Howson and have convinced him to join them, he is making it known he wants to leave

A step backwards? Get real! The only mighty whites I know of are loaves of bread. You're just like Villa, living off past glories, the future's bright, the future's yellow (and green). You wanted your team in the PL, this is the only way it's gonna happen!
