I have heard two rumours. The first is that we are to sign Liam Rosenio from Hull on a free

and Varney is off to Coventry

Believable14 Unbelievable79

Spoke to my mate who's a season pass holder at Hull and he says ''you're welcome to him'' of course this is one mans opinion but it doesn't bode well

Agree0 Disagree0

Just been offered a new contract at Hull so can't see that 1 happening nor Varney going to Coventry they are more skint than us!
Yorkiemark

Agree0 Disagree0

No ones speaking to Varney!

Agree0 Disagree0

Varney may not be Messi, but he's too good for Coventry. He'd be a hit at one of the Sheffields I reckon -though he may still have a future as a back-up central striker becuase of his headers next year. Chapl A

Even Varney wouldn't sign Varney

Agree0 Disagree0

That guy has signed a new deal with hull so no chance, your mate is a liar

Agree0 Disagree0

Can tell that a lot of the posters on here rarely go to games. yes Varney looked bad playing out wide and should never have been brought in as a replacement for snodgrass as Warnock said! but up top he gives us another dimension, best header in the squad, works hard and has some pace. You all need to get off his back, get down to elland road then youll see how much crap you are actually talking

Agree1 Disagree1

Last poster - Its not crap its called having ones own opinion to which we are all entitled. You do not need to go to elland road every week to earn an opinion on the player. Seen as though you bring it up though. i'm a kop season ticket holder and seen enough of varney to conclude he is not of the quality we need on the wing or otherwise. Up top you say? I was also at the cup game when varney missed from ONE YARD. I wonder if you would have a slightly different attitude if varney had missed that in the playoff final.

Agree0 Disagree0

Varney isn't going anywhere since the new manager came in he has been one that stepped up. your avin a laff

Agree0 Disagree0

Sorry mate, i'm with the lads that don't go to ER.
Agree can head the ball ( on flick ons ), quite fast (but generally runs the ball out ), otherwise mate a very average player but I do agree that they should keep off his back because the lad does put a shift in!

LUFC KEK

Agree0 Disagree0

Totally agree! varney was one of the better performers towards end of season, so def needs to be retained, not on huge wages and looks like he enjoys playing here, so get off his back

Agree0 Disagree0

Nice to see our Luke getting a bit of support -he was another victim of Warnock's predilection for playing people out of position. It's difficult for anyone to show their true worth in such circumstances -just ask McCormack, Peltier, White, Green. Chapel A

Agree1 Disagree0

I completely agree with the comments above. I like Luke Varney, he still has a bit of quality, and I recon BmcD can get more out of him. Even if he is just a squad member I wouldn't want him to leave.

On the southampton fans page it says that leeds are close to agreeing a 1.5 million pound move for billy sharp. Shows financial backing which is good

Believable64 Unbelievable43

He would be a great signing and not afraid to go in where it hurts/ let's hope this is the first of many decent signings to come.

Agree1 Disagree1

Rubbish mate! WE HAVE NO MONEY!! The Mancini sacking might have scuppered the Byram deal.
The sale of Sam is our only hope for money!

LUFC KEK

Agree1 Disagree3

Don't you love the negativity of some Leeds fans. It's almost that they hope we won't succeed. {Ed013's Note - Tell me about it, but unfortunately its the clubs own doing}

Agree4 Disagree0

Just love the fact that some fans know we have no money, they must be higher up the pecking order on us wait and see what happens fans lol

Agree3 Disagree0

Does not say anything about sharpe and leeds on southampton fans page!

Agree0 Disagree0

For that amount I'd want le fondre

Agree0 Disagree0

Nicky Maynard, now recovered from injury, and low on pecking order at Cardiff would be a better bet IMO

Agree0 Disagree0

Lufc kek. R u mr happy?

Agree0 Disagree0

If you are talking about the southampton page yes this is true. I've seen it

Agree0 Disagree0

Seems to switch clubs a lot. Is he a bit one-dimensional? In other words, are there better options out there? If not, then fair enough. though it does make me wonder what Warnock was thinking of when he virtually drove Becchio out of the club (slagging him off publicly after Barnsley, putting in train a self-fulfilling prophecy about Becch's 'head being turned, ' which no one would otherwise have found out about, given Luciano's reticence with the media. ) Chapel A

Agree0 Disagree0

Nicky Maynard now recovered from injury- hear this every season so what does it say about him?

Agree0 Disagree0

Get over Becchio for God's sake. There are better players out there. He wasn't getting a game for Norwich and I'm not surprised. Alright he owes us nothing, but he was never the best

Agree0 Disagree0

There may be better players out there than Becchio -but they're not ours! When we've managed to get a striker with a better goals-to-games ratio in, then we can 'get over' Warnock's crazy decision to drive him out of the club mid-season. Of course he had many limitations as a footballer, but when a club has as little apparent leverage in the transfer market as we do, you don't give up an asset who's performing so well, at the level the club's currently at, so easily. That's the point -not the abstract merits of Becchio as a footballer per se. Chapel A

Richard dunne available on a free would be a great signing for us. Solid centre back good leader and would be a great addition to the squad? Any thoughts?

Believable83 Unbelievable34

33. Didn't play at all last season.

Warnock would sign him. McDermott not so likely.

Agree1 Disagree0

Two words for any potential premier league players to consider, wages or challenge!
There is no better challenge in the Championship than getting Leeds back to where we ought to be. I wouldn't say "belong" because that is arrogant and 10 years out of that division gives us no rights at all. MOT

Agree1 Disagree0

Was just about to post something similar. Has been out most of the season with injury so maybe a pay as you play deal because I doubt we could afford his wages otherwise. He is a top top centre half though

Agree0 Disagree0

33 years old. 2 year contract? Far too old even for a CB and remember seeing him skinned for pace by some of the young pups. and there are a few of them out there so, perhaps we should leave it to BMcD.

Agree0 Disagree0

Was a solid centre back we need young hunger players

Agree0 Disagree0

He would be a fantastic signing but I doubt we can afford his wages

Agree0 Disagree0

Too old for a cb? Clint hill? Ryan nelson? Jamie carragher? Richard dunne has been Ireland's best player for the last few years and is a fantastic cb. A year out of him would be great

Agree0 Disagree0

I'd take him. Not the quickest but experience. Help bring on the youngsters.

Agree0 Disagree1

. Not to mention his own goals :/ no thanks. Better options!

Agree0 Disagree0

Would be agreat signing I think neil Warnock tried to get him at start of season his experience would make all the difference Dublin white

Agree0 Disagree0

I would prefer alex baptiste in all honesty

Agree0 Disagree0

Been there before -Tate, Kisnorbo, Naylor. We need younger, driven, energetic talent, players with upwards momentum, their best days ahead of them, not long gone. Warnock gave us all the thirtysomethings we'll be needing for a while. Chapel A

Agree0 Disagree0

Richard Dunne would have absolutely no problem getting another prem club wbu unreal signing

Agree0 Disagree0

Richard dunne is far 2 slow now.

Agree0 Disagree0

No way! I've seen milk turn quicker, also he's injury prone

Agree0 Disagree0

Hilarious some fans don't want Richard dunne still a top center half and would boss the championship. would you rather dunne or peltiler partner lees at the back?

Floyd the barber

Agree0 Disagree0

He just spent an entire year in an out of the operating theater and never got fit. That following a dismal euro 2012 where he made more mistakes than frank spencer. No thanks
eirewhite mot

Agree0 Disagree0

Id rather peltier stay than get dunne, he's so slow and old now. peltier has been decent in the last 10 or so games so i'd b more worried about tom lees tbh.

So - Ken Bates is looking to buy Charlton. And in other news Dioufy is beaten up in a Senegalese bar.

Oh the life of LUFC - You just couldn't make it up!

Believable29 Unbelievable18

I really hope so, maybe they have brought him down to earth with his attitude! not a lover at all of diouf, he's a very bad role model and a has been, I hope mr. mc demott ships him out as asap!

Agree0 Disagree1

To 1st responder.

Let me guess - your one of the crew shouting to get rid of Green as well?

Diouf and Green have been two of our most consistently good players this season. Team would be much weaker w/o them.

Agree1 Disagree0

Agree. - have to say I WASN'T a fan of EHD, but he has received more stick than most players to wind him up, and for the most part just laughs. I am a convert. Oh, how I wish he had real pace - he would be world class!

Agree1 Disagree0

We just need to keep green fit

Agree0 Disagree0

First responder, have you watched leeds play this year at all? Diouf is easily the best player in the squad, and whilst not as fast as he used to be he can still pull most teams in this league to pieces and had a very good go against spurs. If you want a team of good boys, maybe Leeds isn't the best club for you; go and watch wigan or MK Dons for some sanitised corporate rubbish.

Agree2 Disagree0

You sure you are talking about the same person ye had problems in past but since he's been with us except his Michael Jackson dance recently been great as all around and inside elland road will say and mc d has stated what a good influence he's been on young uns. So back to you mr Ned Flanders. have you never regretted doing something stupid in life? I know I have but lucky for me I don't live in a goldfish bowl all day long. Geez give people a 2nd chance. Turn you're cheek Ned

If only it had been the other way around (sorry Ken!)

Agree0 Disagree0

21 May 2013 16:53:51
Yep you're right about Green, he's been consistently poor, chasing shadows and making wayward passes all seasons.

Agree0 Disagree1

Good luck to them. At least the Valley will be a good place to go for corporate entertainment. Chapel A

Agree0 Disagree0

Chasing shadows, misplacing passes? That's Austin you're talking about. Green has limitations in the wide role Warnock played him in (though placing round pegs in round holes was never Neil's forte), but I thought he performed really strongly in the deep, central role he ended the season in, suggesting he may have a lot to offer in that Batty-ish role next time round. Chapel A

Agree0 Disagree0

22 May 2013 01:05:19
Are you mad @ answer 1. just ask Sam Byram if he's a bad role model. He's also, probably the most technically gifted player in the current squad though I do agree he has his silly moments.

Ben Wilson deal signed and sealed from sunderland to be announced within the next week

Believable13 Unbelievable53

Why would we sign him when there is far greater players available on a free transfer if we want a new GK?

We have Kenny (who I would sell), Ashdown, Cairns and we have Eric Grimes coming through.

However I do agree we should be in the market for a new GK.

Agree0 Disagree0

Just saw him at elland road now!!

Agree0 Disagree1

Why sign ben wilson 20 when we have just signed up eric grimes for two years and he is 18? any thoughts ed's {Ed013's Note - I have nothing confirmed mate}

Agree0 Disagree0

Im still a firm believer we should bring Carson back. Was never really given a chance and to add he is the only ex-player I think we should bring back. Before I get slated for wanting him.

Agree0 Disagree0

Luke Steele is out of contract at Barnsley in June. brilliant keeper and at 28 has several years ahead of him and let him and Jamie Ashdown compete for the No1 jersey.

Agree0 Disagree0

I've just seen him coming out of elland road and going into the subway across the road. He's a hungry lad!

Agree0 Disagree0

Will Mrs Wilson please stop posting rumours on our site

Daily Snail reporting that an agreement is in place to sign Zurab Khizanishvili played under BMcD for Reading when they made the play-off final

Believable38 Unbelievable29

Any chance we can sign someone who's name we can pronounce instead of something like a 'bad hand' at Scrabble.

Agree0 Disagree0

Khizanishvili Agent has said that he is now under contract at Kayserispor until May 2014, this is more paper talk.

Fellow Leeds fans are so desperate for anything that they quickly jump on the bandwagon of paper gossip, it shows just how much we crave success.

Agree0 Disagree0

Just signed a contract extension at his current club according to Tw*tter

Agree0 Disagree0

Hope not. I could not afford to buy his name on my shirt in the club shop!

Agree1 Disagree0

Signed new contact - not coming

Agree0 Disagree0

Just shows the snail is still trying to rake up lies and rumours rather than looking for anything genuine.

Simeon Jackson released from Norwich, exactly what we need. Fast pacey striker who runs the lines well, would do well in the championship alongside mcormack or Morrison. And he'll be free, McDermott supposedly interested.

Whiterose1919

Believable52 Unbelievable23

Ok lichij is a free agent bannan was looked at by Manchester United and valued at 10mil and Delphi is playing first team football at villa so sorry mate very unlikely

Agree0 Disagree0

He doesn't exactly have a great scoring record, even at L1/2 level with Gillingham.

I can't see him being enough of an improvement on our current strikers to be honest.

Agree0 Disagree0

Just a more experienced Poleon

Agree0 Disagree0

He would be perfect, I want jackson

Agree0 Disagree0

He is a league 1 standard player. No thanks

Agree0 Disagree0

He would be a big player and score a lot in our league

Agree0 Disagree1

Jackson had a big impact in Norwich's promotion push a couple of years ago. A bit like Le Fondre, has often looked to be most effective when coming off the bench. More likely to help us get up than Morison, in my view (thanks Neil!). Chapel A

I well believe this is true paul lambert loves signing are players heres the main story lambert wants byram but donst have the money to sign him but is willing to offer delph bannan an lichaj for byram people might say am mad but i'd take them 3 any day for byram MOT

Believable10 Unbelievable85

Rubbish. if you have been watching Delph over the past few months he has been one of if not the best Villa player. he is double footed, skilful with pace and getting better and better the older he gets. I can see him move to a bigger club because with better players around him he would develop further. the boy is premiership quality now so I am afraid he won't nbe comimg to join us.

Agree0 Disagree0

I'm pretty sure I remember reading somewhere that Lichaj was going out of contract. Does anyone know if it is true?

Agree1 Disagree0

Delph is one of their best players now, no way they will swap him for an unproven right back with 1 season in the championship, let alone add others to like petulant child Bannan too.

Agree0 Disagree0

I would much rather have the cash for him and then use it to buy in new players and also fund their wages with some of the cash! and let's face it bannan and lichaj didn't exactly set the world on fire last time at the club, lichaj was ok but bannan didn't want to play for leeds for me, delph like the previous poster said is starting to realise his potential now at villa and will be needed for sure, again like I said, give us the cash £5/6 million is realistic for me

Agree0 Disagree0

Bit long winded, doesn't just ring true to me.

Agree0 Disagree0

A big gamble plus why do we need a LB we got warlock white and drury and 2 midfielders for a RB swap a right back and extra but need to be good

Agree0 Disagree0
