On the southampton fans page it says that leeds are close to agreeing a 1.5 million pound move for billy sharp. Shows financial backing which is good

He would be a great signing and not afraid to go in where it hurts/ let's hope this is the first of many decent signings to come.

Get over Becchio for God's sake. There are better players out there. He wasn't getting a game for Norwich and I'm not surprised. Alright he owes us nothing, but he was never the best

There may be better players out there than Becchio -but they're not ours! When we've managed to get a striker with a better goals-to-games ratio in, then we can 'get over' Warnock's crazy decision to drive him out of the club mid-season. Of course he had many limitations as a footballer, but when a club has as little apparent leverage in the transfer market as we do, you don't give up an asset who's performing so well, at the level the club's currently at, so easily. That's the point -not the abstract merits of Becchio as a footballer per se. Chapel A

Agree. - have to say I WASN'T a fan of EHD, but he has received more stick than most players to wind him up, and for the most part just laughs. I am a convert. Oh, how I wish he had real pace - he would be world class!

First responder, have you watched leeds play this year at all? Diouf is easily the best player in the squad, and whilst not as fast as he used to be he can still pull most teams in this league to pieces and had a very good go against spurs. If you want a team of good boys, maybe Leeds isn't the best club for you; go and watch wigan or MK Dons for some sanitised corporate rubbish.

You sure you are talking about the same person ye had problems in past but since he's been with us except his Michael Jackson dance recently been great as all around and inside elland road will say and mc d has stated what a good influence he's been on young uns. Chasing shadows, misplacing passes? That's Austin you're talking about. Green has limitations in the wide role Warnock played him in (though placing round pegs in round holes was never Neil's forte), but I thought he performed really strongly in the deep, central role he ended the season in, suggesting he may have a lot to offer in that Batty-ish role next time round. Are you mad @ answer 1. just ask Sam Byram if he's a bad role model. He's also, probably the most technically gifted player in the current squad though I do agree he has his silly moments.

Rubbish. if you have been watching Delph over the past few months he has been one of if not the best Villa player. he is double footed, skilful with pace and getting better and better the older he gets. I can see him move to a bigger club because with better players around him he would develop further. the boy is premiership quality now so I am afraid he won't nbe comimg to join us.

I'm pretty sure I remember reading somewhere that Lichaj was going out of contract. Does anyone know if it is true?

Delph is one of their best players now, no way they will swap him for an unproven right back with 1 season in the championship, let alone add others to like petulant child Bannan too.

I would much rather have the cash for him and then use it to buy in new players and also fund their wages with some of the cash! and let's face it bannan and lichaj didn't exactly set the world on fire last time at the club, lichaj was ok but bannan didn't want to play for leeds for me, delph like the previous poster said is starting to realise his potential now at villa and will be needed for sure, again like I said, give us the cash £5/6 million is realistic for me
