Leeds are reported to be "on the verge" of signing Blackstock on loan. Hope this is true.

I thought Matt Smith was v good and deserves a chance, wich he will get. But Blackstock is better than any other striker we have. And I no Ross rates him very highly. Blackstocks a very clever target man who would get goals for others around him. I wouldn't be suprised if Ross has pushed Brian in Blackstocks direction. But big Matt smith to start and score again v udders for me

Hell no he's no better than what we've got Smith got his chance on Sunday & proved himself, he should be first choice striker, 6ft 6inch great target man, and a real handful, a defenders nightmare, Blackstock??? unproven, you never ever hear of him, because he doe's F. All that's why.

Never no pleasing fans like you who else is available that would join us wake up at the moment where a decent championship at best but one thing we have in are favour is a very good manager and as for blackstock if he does join he will not only get goals he will also make goals what more do you want.

Maybe I'm a bit pesermistic but if blackstock was so good why would they let him sign for another championship club?
Agree0

Because let's be honest forest have about 10 strikers that are more than capable it makes perfect sense for him to come to leeds and get some game time not only that he will add competition in are striking department got to trust mcdermott

I don't think he's an improvement at all, give Matt Smith a chance instead, he was unlucky not to get a hat trick on Sunday and with time he will blossom.
What about Chris Wood? Can't get a game at Leicester and proven goalscorer at this level.

Hate to think who the players were that wasn't good enough for Leeds if blackstock is? Bottom of the barrel well and truely scraped. i'd rather have smith with his legs tied together and possibly even Noel hunt!

I disagree with the 2nd poster. Blackstock might not be Messi, but he is a proven goal scorer in the Championship. Anyone who looked at our bench on Sunday, would not of been in fear from an opposition point of view, Varney and Poleon are not the answer. Blackstock will definitely score goals.

Oh no. I hope this isn't true. Blackstock hasn't played much for Forest lately. Last time he scored was against us last boxing day. I'd rather we kept the team as was yesterday v Birmingham. Ross/Smith worked well up top. It's all well and good saying Smith isn't proven at this level, but he needs a run of games to get a chance to prove himself. He scored a great header yesterday, he took his first goal well, placing it to the opposite side of the keeper. His disallowed goal was a brilliant finish into the roof of the net. Poleon is quick and can be a good impact player against tired defences. He's already come off the bench to net a few goals. Give them a chance. All they need is service, which Byram, Warnock on the wings and Mowatt, Murphy in the middle can provide. Instead of getting Blackstock I'd rather we got into 2 actual wingers so we have formation options and can drop Byram and Warnock back into defence.

2nd poster replying to 4th poster - he has a worse scoring record than hunt in championship . Hunt and diouf wasnt on bench at the weekend and could be added to it but if your starters have scored 3 by half time you don't need to look to your bench?

I agree Blacstock is not a goos player. I hate that our supporters get excited when we are linked to a Forest cast off.
