Billy Dennehey is a very fast left winger. Plays for shamrock rovers so he'd be cheap. Also has a sweet strike. Here is 3 of them (not his best in my opinion)

What players would everyone like to see at the club next season lets see your lists?

Believable8 Unbelievable6

Where do we start? Haha
Being linked to Jason Pearce a lot so maybe he is to consider.
Sol Bamba from Leicester would be a great addition.
Ian Harte would be welcome (if reading don't extend his contract)
Frimpong on loan from Arsenal? (Stupid suggestion but he likes to make challenges, which we need)
How about Cykwa from Derby? That's about it that I can think of...

Think most realistic aim is to pick the better players from the relegated teams or the ones who will be surplus to requiremens from promoted sides.

Agree0 Disagree0

Paul green
Sol bamba

where is everyone getting these zak whitbread rumours from?

Believable9 Unbelievable10

Dont know where they are coming from but hope they stay as rumours, Pearce and Bamba will do for me!

Agree0 Disagree0

He is a free agent. although he is getting a lot of games at the moment, so not sure why he would want to leave, probably for a pay cut as well

Agree0 Disagree0

Does anyone remember the league 1 play off games against Milwal he was superb if fit should be a regular prem player

Agree0 Disagree0

22 Apr 2012 21:09:10
David norris anyone?

Believable13 Unbelievable18

We were allegedly after him last summer, i could see it happening personally

Is jason pearce good enough to play for leeds agree if you think he is disagree if you think he isnt?

Believable59 Unbelievable14

He deffo is good enough , hes one of the best in league

Agree0 Disagree0

It's not just a case of being good enough, he also has to 'want' it, too?

Agree0 Disagree0

Not really got a lot to beat has he??

O'Dea, Bromby, Bruce and O'Brien are all garbage, bit of luck he might bring Lees on a bit more and make us a bit more solid at the back

Agree0 Disagree0

As the poster above me has already mentioned, How much worse can it get? He's more than good enough and exactly the player we need. 6ft 1 & a bit no nonesence, can head the ball, can run, strong also has integrity & loyalty. Sick of watching our defence getting bullied & raped so more like pearce please.

Would love the rumours about Sol Bamba to be true, watched most of the African cup of nations this year and thought he looked a very decent player, Premier League ability. Anyone agree?

This was just off a rumour group on Facebook but apparently NW looking at Jay Rodriguez from Burnley on a free. Would be a great signing but like a said just fb rumours

Believable31 Unbelievable13

Would be a great signing but ive got a feeling if he were to go anywhere, it would be to a low end premiership team

Agree0 Disagree0

22 Apr 2012 20:16:11
Zak whitbred will team up with his pal Robbie rogers .whitbred will be one of two CBacks signed this summer ,the other probably Pearce but I hope this is a false rumour , personally I would like to see killgallon with whitbred.

Believable16 Unbelievable21

Kilgallon and Whitbread, cant see it, they would spend half the season on the injury list!

Agree0 Disagree0

Jason pearce is very highly rated and only 24.if you read pompy sites they are sad to see him go but thank him and wish him all the best.think we could do with one more experienced cb to play with pearce, switch lees to rb and get robbo in permanently

Contrary to reports. Mick Jones attended the Dons vs Blades game to run the rule over Dons' 6ft 3 ex Rangers and Dundee defender Gary Mackenzie.
Smith probably didn't do his chances any harm by scoring though.

Believable14 Unbelievable5

Yeah. Wasnt that SMITH's first goal in so many years ? He certainly aint gonna be scoring coming back to us. 'Get over it'

Alan Smith, i know this rumor keeps popping up but people unnotice his hard work and this is what we need

Believable19 Unbelievable22

Do us a favour pal 1 goal in 6 n half years says it all. {Ed020's Note - in all fairness, he aint played too many games since newcastle got promoted back to the pl.}

Agree0 Disagree0

Actually it was 5 years, since he scored past roma in 2007 like i said it is his hard work and commintment {Ed020's Note - nice alan smith banner on your facebook profile ;)}

Agree0 Disagree0

He's been average at best whilst on loan to a league one team. Personally there are about 30 players I'd rather see next season in his position

Agree0 Disagree0

He was never going to be a top goal scorer even at leeds, was alway going to end up a DM, I for one think he could do a job for us as a squad player.

Agree0 Disagree0

22 Apr 2012 19:24:37
aparantly leeds scouts been watching young kane ferdinand from southend.anybody seen him play?

Believable13 Unbelievable5

If true, would be a good addition, he's a cm who puts a shift in and has got good ability.

Agree0 Disagree0

He's an excellent young player with a great future. Not good enough for the Premier league yet but championship teams will be fighting over him and Southend will be desperate to keep him.

Agree0 Disagree0

Ive seen him play nothing speical alot better players than him

Side for next season on current rumours:

Kenny

M.Connolly Pearce Bamba P.Connolly

Snodgrass Clayton Green A.White

McCormack Becchio

Hopefully get a new striker though. Maybe B.Wright Phillips, Jordan Rhodes.

Believable12 Unbelievable42

Either of those strikers would be good but we can't afford either of them. Some mediocre Prem teams will be sniffing around them. Team could be similar to your post with the exception of P. Connoly & White.
Neil Mellor is a much more realistic striker target. Free and would be chomping at the bit to play for a big club again. Typical Warnock type striker as well.

Agree0 Disagree0

Rhodes would be fantastic, but I doubt we'll get him. The transfer fee would be way too high for us to afford, and there will probably be numerous clubs after him. Chances are that Norwich will be chasing him, based on their transfer policy of getting the best from the Football League and we can't compete with PL money.

Agree0 Disagree0

Interesting post, Green a bit over rated I think, and P. Connolly struggles at times at RB, so maybe a switch to LB would work, though maybe Robinson may be a better bet there.

Agree0 Disagree0

Paul connoly isnt the best a right back, so switching him to the left makes no sense what so ever.

Agree0 Disagree0

Every point counts if we're gonna get promotion next season, we cant afford to be experimenting with the likes of P Connoly. get some big wirey defenders in who are hard to beat & get it sorted before the season starts. NWs policy is very sensible one-Hit the ground running & dont loose any uneccessary points for not being ready.

DEFENDERS are Warnocks first priority to lock up shop. Lots of rumours flying around becausehe wants right guys at right price. Contenders: PEARCE WHITBREAD who are known. BILEL MOSHNI at Southend who was mentioned in Southend Echo. 6ft 3in.

Believable12 Unbelievable6

Just had a look at whitbread on wiki and he is very injury prone. Could we rely on someone like that?

Leeds looking at signing...
Whitbread - Norwich
Pearce - Portsmouth
Gabbidon -QPR

Believable25 Unbelievable5

Is this the same Pearce that gave a pen away yesterday?

Agree0 Disagree0

Giving a penalty away doesnt make you a bad player. you certainly cannot use it as a reason not to sign someone because they have a penalty away...

Leeds are looking at out of favour qpr defender Matthew connoly according to the sun. Can't believe we have got so bad we are after qpr's cast offs!!

Believable8 Unbelievable12

I wouldn't be upset about signing him. Love how you call him a cast off when he was in the heart of the QPR defense that won promotion!

Agree0 Disagree0

Yeah, he's that good he can get in to a team thats fighting to avoid relegation. Horses for courses i suppose, cant be any worse than we have got and he is a good age and has experience of winning promotion from the championship. Lets wait and see {Ed020's Note - you forget we're a league below qpr currently. he may not be pl standard, but he's more than proved himself at championship level. i personally think it would'nt be a good move}
