Salem Patel has tweeted (and deleted) that we are not signing Dindane (thank god). Business colleague of mine has let it slip that we will be signing 1 possibly 2 by Monday, 1 of which is meant to be somewhat of a coup, when I asked names he wouldn't say yes or no. But he also said if things went according to plan there would be another by deadline day.
Names I threw at him that got a rye smile were Boyd, Habibou and Dawson.
He works at Elland Rd.

Believable15 Unbelievable32

If he's your colleague and he works at Elland Road then shouldn't you also work at Elland Road?

Story smells a bit iffy

Crmd

Agree0 Disagree0

Lol is all that needs 2 be said.

Agree0 Disagree0

The first bit is correct, the tweet was reLeased, and we are also supposed to be pulling of the big one, we will see lol.

Agree0 Disagree0

Not sure (of course given the nature of this site) of the veracity of this post, but you could certainly be business colleagues working for different organisations. So that alone is not reason enough to dismiss this quite plausible post. I am not the original poster, incidentally! PK

Agree1 Disagree0

Seam like Leeds trying to bluff people to me, iron in fire, working behind scenes, big one coming, end result, sweet FA

Agree0 Disagree0

Gfh out asap..take warnock with you

Agree0 Disagree2

The 5th reply is absolutely 100% spot on !

Agree0 Disagree0

I would work at Elland road if I were on the same contracts team as my colleague. He's the lucky one not me. And no it's not a Leeds bluff just a rumour. Believe or not, only sharing folks.

Leeds looking at nakhi wells....hope this happens....leeds looking habibou again as he a left winger and a weird rumour we after redmond and davies of brum.... Also leeds looking to tie dawson to a long term contract as teams in PM looking at him now.

Luke ls11

Believable39 Unbelievable23

Bradford unlikely to let him go now. They will need him at Wembley.. Congratulations Bradford.

Agree3 Disagree0

No chance now - League Cup final and if they get Chelsea they are virtually much guaranteed Euro Cup football even if they lose

Agree0 Disagree0

Wont get Wells now, he's going to wembley

Agree0 Disagree0

Im pretty sure Dawson signed a 2.5 year contract the week/month mate - but don't hold me to it!

Also congrats Bradford! - Hope all the fans/players enjoy the day out!

Agree1 Disagree0

Won't get Europe even if chelsea beat Swansea, goes to whoever finishes sixth in prem! Need to get fact right that only happens in fa cup!

Agree1 Disagree1

In reply to post about bradford in europe, Should the eventual winners already reach Europe via their league placing (as Chelsea are likely to) the European spot goes to the sixth placed Premier League team at the end of the season.

Agree1 Disagree0

wells aren't not going to move just so he gets 2 play at wembley lol. if someone comes in 4 him he will move as big players need big clubs and bradford are far from big lol

Agree0 Disagree0

Couldn't he be signed and loaned back for cup final? Possible right?

Agree0 Disagree0

23 Jan 2013 06:19:28
OP here

I meant to put if they got knocked out well we could try snap him up and end of season.

I have just read dawson signed 2.5 year conract but I still think he could be tempted.

Habib Habibou will have a medical on wednesday - If you search on YouTube you can see him playing football, there is one word to describe him: WOW

Believable23 Unbelievable20

Habib - stop posting, we will only believe you are a Leeds player once we see the shirt on your back saying 9 ? we all believe you can play a bit - this league is a tough one tho' so be warned

Agree1 Disagree0

Just watched the utube video.really, wow?he looks distinctly average in a poor league.hope it was just they did nt choose the best bits for the video.

Agree0 Disagree0

Theres a few other wordws to describe him from what I've seen - slow, cumbersome, lanky, weak....noooooo.....id rather have beckford back than this fella, and I don't want beckford back!

Agree0 Disagree1

Surely the one word should be- average

Agree1 Disagree0

Useful with potential may be a better description

Agree0 Disagree0

Weak? LOL he's far from weak. he's crap but not weak atall.

Agree0 Disagree0

Remember when the same thing was said about yeboah and we all know what happened with that

Agree0 Disagree0

Tomas Brolin looks good on You Tube, we all know what happened with that!

The missus uncle is on the board at Swansea.
Says Tate back home in Swansea. He assuming leeds don't want him but doesn't know for sure yet.
Genuine rumour
White teeth

Believable30 Unbelievable6

I don't think he brings anything extra to our squad. Similair to Pearcey (but not as good and older IMO) Lees is our best CB and Pelts can step in for Pearce.

Hear Leeds are trying to buy Alan Knight, Linvoy Primus, and Guy Whittingham. Or maybe just Dindane!

Believable20 Unbelievable24

We are not trying to buy anybody, we are touting out our playsers for sale or loan

Agree0 Disagree2

22 Jan 2013 18:24:36
Hate the negativity, about Leeds I guess its those with nothing better to do than moan because they are sat home all day wishing they were playing for Leeds well your not so just get behind Leeds and get mental

Agree2 Disagree1

To the OP, with the rumours going about would it really surprise you ?

Agree0 Disagree0

Ed, what happened to the rule of signing off with a name or an e-mail? 1st reply a wind up from a Hammers fan or similar surely Lol (and Lol, 2nd reply sucked it up!)

NickLS26 {Ed013's Note - I don't understand mate? I encourage everyone to sign off with a name and leave their email so that I can see when people are pretending to be someone else}

leeds united sign aruna dindane he ok pace goals in him strong he be ok at leeds utd he 32 but he very fast just check you tube out on him fans he not bad

Believable20 Unbelievable26

22 Jan 2013 16:04:18
Tate returned to Swansea, Done us an Ok job but only Ok as he doesn't have pace and together with Pearce was too similar. Lees is a shoe in for me, reads the game well and has pace (if were not careful we will lose him if we don't stop messing about with him) Pearce and peltier giving back up OR could Mr Warnock have someone up his sleeve

Agree1 Disagree0

22 Jan 2013 16:05:38
check out his stats

Agree0 Disagree0

Have just been watching dindane on YouTube looks a good player and by god can play get him in we have nothing to lose and all to gain ..cum on Leeds fans let's get back to we belong MOT PS it's a start 9days to go..BELIEVE.....

Agree1 Disagree1

A very poor signing

Agree0 Disagree1

Whose saying a 'poor signing' ? What planet are you on ? We haven't got a massive budget and looking to pick up guys who can deliver. He played brilliantly when last in the football league and is not going to cost anything. He also has a bit of pace. But you won't be there to see him play at Elland Rd cus you don't want to watch poor signings... Stay at home and watch TV cus your presence aren't wanted as much as Dindane is

Agree0 Disagree1

Just typed in dindane on youtube, watched the top video (8 mins) and dang! if this guy still has the pace and the touch he displays in the video then this guy will be a starter every week and a real good signing! definitely a good quick fix until summer window when we will end contracts of the not so good players... in my eyes we need a solid centre half and a good pacy winger. MOT we are leeds!

Agree0 Disagree0

22 Jan 2013 17:17:32
I agree with the 4th comment, this lad is a good player reminds me of yeboa, got a powerfull shot why with all the negativity, support the team and help guide us to the top when we get going we are ruthless

Agree0 Disagree0

The poster who said poor signing is entitled to his opinion and who are you to tell people to stay away ?
If GFH insist on taking on board 32 year old players then there won't be a crowd to play to
18k on saturday and its nothing to do with ticket prices why fans are staying away!! its the very very mediocre football that's been on show for the past 2 seasons.
you may be happy to see this rubbish that's on show but i'm not and before you say stay home then I've been going to ER for 28yrs and been a season ticket holder for the past 6
GFH need to remember to make money you have to spend moneey so put up or push off

Agree1 Disagree0

Stats don't lie 14 goals in total in last 2 seasons divided by 3 uae teams

Agree0 Disagree0

Very strong and fast may turn out to be a good thing.

Agree0 Disagree0

This is a bad joke. Bring back Paul Dickov! Chapel A

Agree0 Disagree0

Its a tin pot league he's playing in doesn't matter how many golas he's bagged there

Agree0 Disagree0

Didane not coming sorry to say the youtube clip was 5 years old age 32 he is no better that reg varney

Agree0 Disagree0

Salem Patel says we are not signing him

Agree0 Disagree0

We currently have 4 saleable assets, Becchio, Byram, Lees and McCormack, none of them signed by Warnock. His latest permanent signing, Tonge, is on the bench. The only other in this window, Hall, most weeks doesn't even get that far. I think Warnock hasn't been properly supported but his (16?) signings so far have failed to give us a sound base for future development. This window is, according to everyone, vital to our future. A 32 year old who hasn't played in a competitive league for 3 years doesn't inspire any confidence at all. I hope it's only gossip and there are some proper signings in the pipeline, because I fear the effect another wasted season will have on morale, crowds and income.

Agree0 Disagree0

Why the hell does anybody think that signing Dindane is a good thing.. OMFG!! He is garbage man and at 32 aswell. Same is it was under Bates siging crap free agents who are practically dead! We need to get this sorted and quick because GFH will ruin us aswell at this rate... 5 million quid would see us push for promotion this year and then the premiership would bring massive profits... WTF! is wrong with the owners of football clubs... Cant see the sun for the clouds! Get ure wallets out GFH and invest before you lose another 10,000 from the fan base... Losing fans quick and its not a good sign.. GFH SORT IT OUT!!

Forest close in on signing Bruke. Missed out on another player then by the looks.

Believable22 Unbelievable7

You can't really saw we have missed out on another player unless you can be sure we were in for him. its like saying 'oh dear missed out on demba ba'. We might not have ever gone in for him.

Agree0 Disagree0

Looks like were going to miss out on Zaha too, he's of to by the looks of it :p LOL

Agree0 Disagree0

I think he would have always chosen Forest because of McCleish

Agree0 Disagree0

HOW DO YOU KNOW? why do people keep saying we have missed out on this player or that player when the only people who know our targets are NW, SH and the board. It gets very boring and almost annoying listening to all the doom mongers!

Agree0 Disagree0

22 Jan 2013 13:24:42
Another 'golden oldie' linked with us. Jamie Carragher is getting restless at liverpool and is possibly looking for a new club. He would love to finish his career at Liverpool but is unhappy at the amount of game time he is getting.
Cardiff are the team he is mainly linked with but I have heared Leeds, Middlesborough, Wolves and Leicester have been linked too.

Believable5 Unbelievable46

Carragher said he'd never play for another club!

Agree0 Disagree0

Not the right age for NW, but he is seen a done for the future by Colin.

Agree0 Disagree0

22 Jan 2013 16:39:25
Somewhere in the distant past I remember another golden oldie joining Leeds. Gordon someone or other, then we had Lee somebody as well and Chris thingy in defence. Mature, experience leaders through the spine, surrounded by youth and enthusiasm.
Only El haj fits that mould in current team. Wilko got the mix of youth and experience perfect, don't think NW has got the blend/balance yet.

Agree0 Disagree0

To first reply, he has said that in the past but in the last few weeks he has become disappointed at the lack of playing time he is getting even from the bench so is considering looking elsewere as he just wants to play the game he loves not sit on the bench or in the reserves taking the money even for his favorite club, which is an admireable attitude I think compared to some players these days

Agree0 Disagree0

I don't think he would get much game time with us either. He's all yours as far as I'm concerned

Redbird

Agree0 Disagree0

Cant see this one going ahead he will be on big bucks.plus can't see him poping round to elland road anytime soon.
dont think that we have any cash to spend anyway

Heard from a mate who knows a scout at the club that Leeds will sign Chris Burke by the end of the week, but no rush because he won't be able to play against Spurs on Sunday anyway. We have put a bid in for DJ Campbell but he favours a move to Hull.

Other players this guy has heard mentioned (not definities) are Ben Watson (wigan), Faurlin (Qpr), Matt Phillips (Blackpool) and Vaz Te (west ham)

Believable18 Unbelievable44

Campbell gone to Cardiff
Mikeire

Agree1 Disagree2

Diff Cambell

Agree1 Disagree0

And Burke is going to Forest, is on tv

Agree1 Disagree0

Wasn't it Frazer Campbell that went to Cardiff.

Agree2 Disagree0

Isn't Ben Watson out for the season? I remember him picking up a pretty nasty injury in 2012.

Agree1 Disagree1

Frazier Campbell has gone to Cardiff, DJ Campbell could still be available if 'Arry deems him surplus to requirements at QPR - JamesC

Agree1 Disagree0

Hull manager Steve Bruce has confirmed the npower Championship promotion chasers are in talks to sign in-demand QPR striker DJ Campbell.

Agree0 Disagree0

Could be a shout for the post in history, Frazer Campbell has gone to Cardiff, Watson is out for the season & burke is going to the merry men, utter dribble.

Agree1 Disagree0

Warnock recommended to buy Diego De Girolamo, who is Sheffield Uniteds brightest prospect.

Warnock refused as it would weaken his old clubs hopes of future success.

If this is true, he's a bigger tool than I thought and shouldn't be managing Leeds.

Believable6 Unbelievable34

My daughter is a friend of this guy who is based in Chesterfield.

He is staying with Sheff Utd to gain experience of playing and is then expected to go to the team in red accross the Pennines.

I don't lie on this site.

Spire White

Agree0 Disagree0

Not sure on the first part comment but the second one is a load of bull. He has just signed terms and feels privalidged to have done so. He has a long way to go and knows it. Feet are on the floor. Not arrogant or stupid enough to think he is going to man united or in fact anywhere so give the kid some credit.

Agree0 Disagree0

22 Jan 2013 09:50:41
im a dundee united fan but have fav team in leeds too was at dundee game on sat before the game in bars around city lots of talk of our boy russel on his way to leeds with a foot in both camps if you like I was the only one pleased about this mind you the boy can go missing in games but having said that has a eye 4 goal he got 3 in that game good luck with your bid and 4 the rest of the season

Believable26 Unbelievable13

Ive seen this post a couple of times. If he's that good, why hasn't he gone anywhere else? You'd have to send smoke signals to get warnocks attention about any decent players anyway... His office door seems to be a queue of loan rangers, Free wanderers and has-beens, at the moment...

Agree0 Disagree0

22 Jan 2013 09:42:23
According to YEP Warnock is looking to finish signing Dindane. This is ridiculous. He's old, and he can't even score in Qatar. Would be worth more to give Somma a new contract. If this is true I have lost hope. What is Warnock playing at? Get him out! This hardly counts as a signing, our squad is the same as before the transfer window started. What a joke. Big changes in results won't happen if there are no changes in the players.

Believable37 Unbelievable7

Isn't that boy Scotland worth a punt too
You g lad with heaps of potential for his last year
Get in their warnock

Agree0 Disagree1

22 Jan 2013 11:29:35
Wasn't we supposed to be in for that habibou lad hope this guy comes, him and dindane together would be a force

Agree0 Disagree0

Really beginning to worry now that he's got no money to spend.

Agree0 Disagree1

I agree with the original poster. We should be looking for good young players not old gits looking for a last pay day. Someone like Luke Murphy from Crewe he is a good midfielder 23 years old 8 assists and 3 goals this season or Patrick Madden at Yeovil, he has scorced 12 goals in 17 games this season and only 22 years old or Nick Blackman at Sheffield he has scored 11 goal in 28 matches 23 years old. Surely we can afford this type of player

Agree0 Disagree0

The other pitiful result of this signing would be that one of our only slightly pacy, creative and goalscoring players (mccormak) will be pushed further away from the first team to allow for this mug to head the ball!

Agree0 Disagree1

If this is a sign of things to come from GFH we have been well and truly short changed by the skint wanabe Sheiks, I honestly thought we would be looking at CMS and Morrison and the likes but it seems suprise, suprise that we have no money and are forced into shopping at bargain basement yet again!! Is this how you intend to woo us back to ER gents?????

Agree0 Disagree0

Dindane would be a good signing for Leeds at this time, pace and strength. Think he would be great at this level. {Ed013's Note - He isn't signing mate}

Agree0 Disagree0

22 Jan 2013 09:00:36
Dindane set to sign a contract with Leeds today until end of season.

Warnocks fascination with over 30's and ex-pompey players continues!

Not exactly an 'icing on the cake' signing. Has Warnock seriously lost the plot or is this the type of signing we can expect under GFH?

WibseyWhite

Believable32 Unbelievable11

I think it is a good signing.

Agree1 Disagree2

Gets us through untill the end of the season while we still have a chance of making the play offs, pointless spending vast amounts of money in this transfer window.

Agree0 Disagree0

This is embarracing, warnock does not have a clue, the only positive out of this is that hopfully GFH have not seen enough from the dinosaur to back him so they have given this old reject. More hoofball and mid table finish at best with this signing, and no more money from me, going to keep my 100 quid I invest every fortnight and give it to my boy who I have stopped even trying to persued to become a leeds fan, what's the point, can't put him through a life of misery like me!

Agree1 Disagree1

22 Jan 2013 09:40:20
I have heard that Stephen Ireland on Loan until end of season is a possibility if wages are sorted.
Also Faulin has been contacted about terms

It will be Michael Brown's last season and he is likely to go into coaching/management Thank Goodness because he just isn't what he was.
Hopefully Bristol City was his last 1st team start.

Eddie Gray has been asked about looking after the youngsters and declined

Agree0 Disagree0

For me mate the club is seriously in danger of becoming a circus act! i'm normally as optimistic as anyone but this is just reminiscent of when we needed that final push last year and master bates *coughed up* the funds to sign Danny Webber on a free, and forsell the year before!

Leeds united should be a big enough reason alone to attract players which are decent at this level but what signal does it give out when were signing free transfers who are constantly over 30 and its a final payday!? Not only to new signings but our players must be gobsmacked!? Cardiff's last two strikers brought in have been Maynard and f. Campbell. Ambition equals 10 points clear at the top!

I hope i'm wrong but I doubt it.

Scot MOT!

Agree0 Disagree0

Free on a 6 month contract gives him a chance to show if he's good enough for us or not and not cost us too much money....it wouldn't be a bad signing to provide a bit more competition for becchio

Agree0 Disagree1

I think it's pretty obvious what's going on, Warnock is here only until the summer, so why give him millions to spend, this season is practically over unless there's a miracle, and money will be made available in the summer for a new manager to take the club forward. Bates will also leave as chairman in the summer so the new owners will have a clean slate then.

Agree2 Disagree0

For me it says everything, its waste of time letting Warnock run this club.

Agree0 Disagree0

Was El Hadji Diouf not over 30 and look what he is doing, a very dedicated player all his career.

Agree1 Disagree0

Makes you wonder doesn't it

Agree0 Disagree0

Your all saying warnock hasn't a clue but how do you know he hasn't been told to sign him or more obvious that there's no money to spend why else would he go for cheap players and out of contract players it's not hard to work out

Agree0 Disagree0

One of the sad things is how low our supporters expectations are now. This is a dreadful signing. It's no wonder some of us have a 'glass half full' attitude. New owners, same story.

Agree2 Disagree0

* meant glass half empty!

Agree0 Disagree0

My glass is just empty, we are becoming a joke, worst football I have seen us play is over 40 years and I have see the likes of ricketts & Strandelli etc. The best part of saturdays game was the pie at half time.

Agree1 Disagree0

Doesnt matter about players age, Giggs is 40!

I could care less if our average age was 55 if we get promotion

Agree0 Disagree0

Your obsession with the age of players is quite disturbing - if it had been left to you we would have never have signed Gordan Strachan and our team would have been pensioned off before they blew the league apart in 1974. Its not about age, its about ability to perform. Ask old Red nose about what he thinks of a certain Mr are Giggs!

Agree0 Disagree0

22 Jan 2013 06:42:21
Leeds united to sign three players before Saturday, Habib Habibou, David Bentley and Chris Burke. Also on the rumour mill are possible moves for Craig Gordon, Matt Taylor/ Danny Fox and Scott Dann.

Believable15 Unbelievable41

Bentley is at FC Rostov in Russia. Not going to happen

Agree0 Disagree0

Thought it was a bit too good to be true
