how can anyone say grayson is poor in bring in players?
Paddy Kisnorbo free, is he poor?
david somma free Kasper Schmeichel free, lloyd sam free!! Max Gradel? watt good player when he was fit.

True he has made SOME good signings but even a stopped clock is right twice a day! The good signings he has made are, by far, outweighed by the turkeys he's signed. Bassone, McCartney, Paynter, Bruce, Collins, livermore, Vokes, Trundle, etc. Of the core team that played most of last season the only SG signings to shine were Max & Kasper whereas Snods, Howson, Becchio & Johnson where all at the club before he took over however the incompitant defensive unit was entirely made up of SG signings.
Don't get me wrong I'm not advocating that he should be given the boot, I'm just saying that I'm not expecting to be bowled over by our summer signings. I will be keeping my fingers crossed and praying to numourous deities from now til the transfer window closes that he proves me wrong

re in talks with smiths agent - my understanding is al is receptive to the idea of a move to Leeds and would take a significant wage cut, question is whether that would marry with tightwad Bates depiction of a decent wage ....
obviously this is a divisive move and a significant number of whites fans won't agree with me, but for what it's worth I honestly reckon Smudge will snap our hands odd - regular first team football and back where he belongs.....

Fraser Forster leeds' no1 choice! Schmiecel apparently being sold in the region of 1 million with the sun (source) saying forster to be signed for 1.5million. Am I the only one who thinks this is a step backwards, not even sideways?

Don't know much about Forster except his cock up which gifted Beckford with the winner when he was on loan at Norwich! Played over 40 games for Celtic last year though so could be ok. Would have been happier with Krul but doubt he would drop to Championship or that Newcastle would let him go.

The Time claims Leeds boss Simon Grayson is eyeing the Pole who wants a move away from Old Trafford to kick-start his career.

The 16-year-old, who has represented the Cork district at youth level, joins from Ringmahon Rangers and will up take his place on the club's scholarship scheme later this summer.
He is highly-rated and has played for his country at levels up to under-16.
United manager Simon Grayson said: "Eric is good player with good potential and he is definitely one for the future.
"This is an area we needed to strengthen in the younger age groups and Eric has a great opportunity to develop within the club's Academy system."

They must no what they are doing guys, Last year when were promoted from League 1, we never invested heavily, but relied on Grayson getting the best out of what he had, he obviously saw potential. Gradel/Howson/Becchio/Somma have all improved massively in the last 12months!!
Keep the faith, Bates wouldnt let the team slip, end of the day he will need to sell up soon, the better the team , the more money he will get!!!

I work for a big news paper company and this is on the back page of the Blackpool Gazette & Herald - PAUL Rachubka is set to resurrect his career at Leeds. Several clubs, including Blackburn, are believed to have made inquiries but it is Leeds who are set to complete a deal.

Westwood completes £30,000 a week deal with Sunderland. He will be unvailed on 1st July.(Sunderland Echo). Perhaps Given on loan for a season is a possibility however Foster probably nmore realistic target.

Grayson wasnt impressed with Snodgrass input last season only returning 7 goals and had a persistent back injury.
Bates has told Grayson he can spend every penny of transfer fees recieved.
Leeds will move for Rachubka, i dont know why! Having missed out on Westwood, they are looking elsewhere for a more experienced goalkeeper. Jack Hobbs will be bought for around £1m. Woodgate, Smith and Bowyers wages will now be funded with the cash recieved from transfers, however all will be taking a huge paycut. Torsten Frings will sign. Erik lichaj will be signed permanently, as will Sanchez Watt to replace snodgrass. David Gonzalez, David Martin are interesting Grayson for Goalkeepers. Jack Cork wants first team football but he could be coming in on a season long loan if he turns down Burnley. Nick Montgomery will provide competition and cover for Smith, Bowyer and Frings. Neil Danns has agreed terms, just a medical to go. Grayson still searching high and low for a left back as well as first choice keeper.

This was my rumor been told now that that our interest has forces Sunderland hand and Craig Gordon will be/has been transfer listed. That will sway Westwood back to Sunderland.
Heard from a different source today that we are trying to do a deal to get Paul Robinson back, seems completely unbelievable to me seeing though he's Blackburn's No1 but my source seemed pretty convinced & he's been right in the past.

Leeds have done a swap deal with Sheffield Utd Paynter going to South Yorkshire and Leeds Born Nick Montgomery going to back home.
#1 jersey will be worn next season by Fraser Foster of Newcastle. Was on loan at Celtic and Lennon is interested in signing him on a permanent deal, but looks like Leeds are favourite.

Leeds are bidding to sabotage Keiren Westwood's move to Sunderland after agreeing to sell their first-choice keeper Kasper Schmeichel to Leicester.
Former Carlisle United star Westwood has been heavily tipped to sign for the Black Cats on a Bosman free transfer but Leeds boss Simon Grayson wants to lure the 26-year-old to Elland Road.
The Championship outfit have accepted a £1.5 million offer from Leicester for Schmeichel after Grayson claimed the Dane was unlikely to sign a contract extension. Schmeichel denied that he wanted to leave but seems destined for the Walkers Stadium.
Grayson is a long-time admirer of Republic of Ireland keeper Westwood and will launch an ambitious late bid to persuade the out-of-contract Coventry star to remain in the second tier.
The ex-Carlisle gloveman is well known to Leeds fans from his time with the Blues, with Westwood starring in the clubs' play-off semi-final clash in 2008.
