Filip Kostić has been lined up as one of Brian McD's preferred signings.

Believable24 Unbelievable53

Signed a contract last year, spurs and Anderlect were looking at him so it's doubtful

Agree0 Disagree0

I'm not sure Kostic is a good idea. Quilting and knitting are far more popular these days.

Matt Mills (Loan), Noel Hunt (Free), Harry Forrester (400k) and Reece Wabarba (400k) all to sign on (or before) July 1st.

did you pluck these figures out of the air

RS

Agree0 Disagree0

Forrester is out of contract so be a nominal fee because he is under 24--wabarba would only be on loan

Agree1 Disagree0

I thought Wabara was a free-agent?

Agree3 Disagree1

Would be happy with all. not sure about Wabara anymore though. Also give some of the youth a go and we could play some nice football for a change!

Maintain Byram, develop the likes of Smith and Poleon and the future already looks that bit brighter under Big Mac.

Agree1 Disagree0

He is if City release him

Agree0 Disagree0

City won't release him, he's proved he's a quality cb, maybe not to there standards but in a few years they will make a good profilt on him, we will only get him on loan if lucky

Agree0 Disagree0

We won't sign Mills and Wabara. It's one or the other.

Really don't want to see Hunt, he would just become this year's Andy Gray.

Agree2 Disagree1

Wabara is far better than any of the others listed

Agree0 Disagree1

Forrester and mills are the most likely.

Cant see wabarba coming and noel hunt is past it to be honest, give matty smith and dominic poleon a chance to show us what they can do.

I've heard that we might be after Tom Carroll on loan from spurs

Believable37 Unbelievable36

Would be a wicked signing but that kid is too good for us, he could cut it in the prem now

Agree0 Disagree0

No chance. This lad is very highly rated. He's already getting match time at Spuds.

Agree0 Disagree0

It'll never happen, total BS.

Danny Fox from Southampton lined up for a season long loan?

Believable16 Unbelievable58

We really don't need another left back.

Agree0 Disagree0

Err, no chance.

Agree0 Disagree0

Why on Earth do we need to sign another LB. remember Warnock, Drury, White and one of the Taylor twins?

Brian McDermott will have to wait until Ken Bates leaves his role as chairman on the 30th of June before he can sign Noel Hunt.

Bates will not rubber stamp a deal to sign the 30 year old on a 2 year deal worth around £1.5 million including a £250k signing on fee for Hunt.

Because he holds the lead chair his say is still massive in anybody we sign expect a lot of movement from July 1st.

Also contract on the table for Harry Forrester at Brentford, Leeds and Brentford have been trying to thrash out a deal for the compensation Brentford will be due but clubs are miles apart at the moment Leeds offering £350k Brentford wanting nearer £500k
expect this to go to tribunal unless another club matches Brentford valuation.

Believable32 Unbelievable56

You haven't a clue, absolute poppycock.

Agree2 Disagree0

Think 14k pw is a bit excessive for Noel hunt personally

Agree1 Disagree0

I'm sure someone posted that there would be no compo as forester was at Cheski as a kid. It wouldn't suprise me if he did come to Leeds though I watched him play in the play off semi. He's not lightning quck but he is not slow very tricky puts good balls in the box as well. He got taken off in both games though and he had Swindons right back on toast may have a fitness issue, looked a v good player at that level though.

Agree0 Disagree0

Forrester is out of contract! He's a free to whoever he chooses to sign for. Get your facts right. Somehow this devalues the rest of your post.

Agree0 Disagree0

Harry forrester has already signed for another championship club

Agree0 Disagree0

22 Jun 2013 13:37:10
Actually if you read the post and do the Maths it's £12K per week. I'd say that was realistic for Hunt.

Agree0 Disagree0

Bates has f*ck all to do with the clubs money now so stop spouting sh*te.

Agree2 Disagree0

8 more days and bates is gone!!

Agree0 Disagree0

Even though KB is still chairman, considering the fact that he won't be here or have any say in anything in just over a week's time suggests to me that, on a practical and long term basis, no decisions he makes at this point (if any) will have any bearing on what LUFC do.

Agree0 Disagree0

Forrester will be available for free as he is a product of the Aston villa academy. Interestingly he turned down Ajax to sign for Brentford so he may have the right attitude and want to play football rather than earn £

Agree0 Disagree0

Bates is old news!
The fact is ( not FACT so listen on!) the transfer window doesn't open until 1st July. That isn't to say deals can't be done but this must have some bearing on the timings of certain transfers.

Agree0 Disagree0

"Even though KB is still chairman, considering the fact that he won't be here or have any say in anything in just over a week's time suggests to me that, on a practical and long term basis, no decisions he makes at this point (if any) will have any bearing on what LUFC do. "

You obviously haven't been around very long if you believe that?

Untill Bates is ACTUALLY totally gone (FACT FACT FACT!) he will ALWAYS have an influence on Leeds.

This is totally true, because whether or not he has any control over the club, there are still thousands of supporters, me included, that will not return to Elland Road untill he IS gone!

You can say all you want, but as a Leeds supporter of almost 50 years standing now (well at least most of it's been sitting down lately) I still have a problem with Bates being 'self appointed president'.

Now if GFH tell him to do one on 1st July we have a totally new ball game, quite literally. From that point in ER will be filled, top to bottom, front to back.

Agree0 Disagree2

If you were a true Leeds supporter you would support wether Bates was president or not. More sh*t excuses not to go

Leeds looking to load Edgar salli for a full season

Believable5 Unbelievable42

22 Jun 2013 07:35:58
In regards to the meeting that took place between McDermott and Shaun Harvey, BMC was told he can bring as much as 5 players with a wage budget to keep to (which is a reasonable amount) but will only be allowed to buy one player so make sure he uses the money wisely. also if he does impress and attracts bigger crowds then the possibility of another in January.

Believable34 Unbelievable33

That's complete garbage.

Agree0 Disagree2

This makes svense with regards 2 the mills loan!

Agree1 Disagree0

22 Jun 2013 12:36:37
Sounds about right to me. Unfortunately we be pow these days, but with the supporters back and not having to run on a negative budget at least we can build for the future. We will be aiming to entertain and possibly fight for a playoff place this season. With the crowds coming back we can invest in the following season and give it a proper push to get back to where we belong.

Agree1 Disagree0

That is not how a business runs

Agree0 Disagree0

Buy one player. must be ronaldo then 65 mil should do it, but it is only one player so board will be ok, ronaldo should tick the impress and big crowds boxes as well

Agree0 Disagree1

Glad you were able to attend the meeting to keep us informed.

Agree0 Disagree0

Regarding the main post, sounds about right to me that, get feeling our signings will mainly be free and very cheap, and if lucky he, l be able to spend a bit on one.

Agree0 Disagree0

22 Jun 2013 20:59:30
If you knew who had wrote the post you would be surprised I am very much involved with what goes on at our club. Just giving our fans a bit of inside information. Regards.

Agree0 Disagree0

That actually sounds like common sense. I hope the one bought signing is a real good one.

Agree0 Disagree0

In response to the opening post, that's not how Leeds operate, Brian has 'x' amount of spend which consists of transfer fees, signing on fees, wages, loyalty bonuses etc, it all comes out of the same pot.

Agree0 Disagree1

You were at the meeting then

Agree0 Disagree0

And your intelligent enough to use a web chat forum rather than let the news out via YEP?. sneak it under the radar for the select few. I just love your concern to feed us BS when u know it would be challenged anywhere else

Agree0 Disagree0

So your telling me he doesn't have a budget, he can just buy 1 player?

So this could be Messi or Bessone/Capaldi but whatever as long as he buys 1 players its ok?

Obviously full of hot air you feel the need to vent on here.

Agree0 Disagree0

Obviously he has a budget never said he did not. He has been giving a amount and told he can only buy one player at a reasonable price. Not hear to argue with our supporters just to keep then in touch with the club. And I don't talk rubbish mark my words.

brentford winger harry forrester will be joining leeds united

Believable36 Unbelievable13

Hopefully so, young hungry player the type we have to start bringing in to the club more often, good start on that front with the signing of Matt Smith.

Leeds United are lining up a bit for Wolves midfielder Jamie O'hara.

Believable26 Unbelievable56

He he got his head down he would be good for Leeds, can't see this happening though.

Agree1 Disagree0

Good, I really hope so. He would shine at Leeds. Good engine, can tackle, can score and good ball distribution
Get knocking on his door Big Bri

Agree0 Disagree0

Just a bit? Doesn't sound very committed to me.

Agree0 Disagree0

Wolves paid 3. 5 m for him and he has two years to run on his contract. This is doubtful

Agree0 Disagree0

22 Jun 2013 13:40:04
Read the Wolves message boards and you may have a different opinion of O'Hara. They hate him and say he puts in little effort.

Agree0 Disagree0

Few years ago would have been happy to be linked to o hara, not now.

Agree0 Disagree0

Wolves have stated that they have had no offers or interest for O'hara

Agree0 Disagree0

Would just b another terrible player like austin, who just shoots all game and lacks any skill

Leeds looking at signing ex Qpr striker Jay Boothroyd after him being released by Qpr today.

Believable13 Unbelievable73

Boothroyd, hunt & Morrison all at Leeds this season? No chance!

Agree0 Disagree0

I think he had a relegation clause put in his contract so he could leave and be back in the top flight.
Not sure he would swap the London life for Leeds life with less pay as I believe the muppet who owns QPR isn't afraid to pay the big bucks?
Would be happy if it happens though

Agree0 Disagree0

Will never happen and we all know it, keep taking the pills.

Agree0 Disagree0

Bothroyd the careers on the slide, only a few years back he won a full england cap, can, t see him coming to us.
