Connor Wickam and Nicky Maynard to sign next week on loan.
Buzacky will also sign a 2 year deal.

Believable13 Unbelievable66

Wow, really can't see this happening but would be absolutely amazing if it did. Could half see maynard coming on loan but not wickam

Been thinking about buzacky though. Am I right in thinking he currently has no club? If thats the case I don't see why he wouldn't be tempted to join up with Warnock and Kenny again. I think were defiantly beginning to look like an attractive club to play for.

Agree0 Disagree0

Yep see players queueing up to play under Bates !!

Agree0 Disagree0

Why two more strikers? one i can see, but not both

Agree0 Disagree0

Thorgan Hazard and Lucas Piazon on loan? Be two good signings, young players looking to get some experience and they're both good going forward something we lacked on Tuesday.

Believable18 Unbelievable26

Really? On what evidence exactly do you base your claim that a couple of exotically-named teenagers who've played zero minutes of competitive football in this country (and very little anywhere) will be able to somehow transform our fortunes? Cool names, though! Chapel A

Agree0 Disagree0

I doubt Hazard would be bad. Eden has said that he thinks that Thorgan is a better player than he is.

Agree0 Disagree0

Maybe in a few years time! Come on, Bannan, Livermore, Townsend, Watt, Smith -these guys were relative veterans in comparison, and look what good they did us. The policy of taking inexperienced, but possibly talented, Prem reserves and expecting them to make the difference in the physical hothouse of the Championship has been tried by us countless times before, and been found wanting. Chapel A

Agree0 Disagree0

The players maybe free, but their wages are certainly not free......

Lot of rumours around this evening that the takeover is now complete and will be announced tomorrow. Hopefully the torture ends tomorrow. :-)

Believable26 Unbelievable67

Where's the rumours coming from because i have heard or seen anything.Trevo

Agree0 Disagree0

There it is , i thought i was going to get through the whole day without somebody throughing this out again ! i was wrong i now have to go to bed, not believing your rumour but thinking what if ! Thanks

Agree0 Disagree0

Lots of rumours going round that the takeover has been completed everyday in august and it never happens. Just wait till it happens, nobody but a select few know what is happening

Agree1 Disagree0

RUMOURS WHERE ?

Agree0 Disagree0

Good job there are 52 fridays in the year otherwise it might have to happen on a day not yet named. stick with rumours mate not wishful thinking.

Agree0 Disagree0

Around where? Twitter is usually a good indicator. nothing there.

Agree0 Disagree0

Come on guys he must know something.....i mean he's put a smiley face

Agree0 Disagree0

Think u might b a norwich fan thinkin it might b a lot easier for delia to take us over instead of havin to go thro all the transfer nonsense every time u want to buy our captain!!

Agree0 Disagree0

When the news does arrive (If it ever does) will be be announced by BBC Leeds / a website. End Of

ps The take over will be August 84th (sorry)

Marching All Together Were Gonna See You Win !............................

Agree0 Disagree0

I cant believe that people still press believeable. There will be no takeover and the sooner people wake up to it the better.

Agree0 Disagree1

Master bates will not sell until the transfer window closes , he wont want us having a good season if he got no ties with us , he's a chelsea fan he only used our club to line his pockets the man is an evil little parasite BATES OUT and good riddance

Agree0 Disagree1

I know that the owners of leedsfx and premier taxis leeds are involved in this takeover they will be on the board with more emphasis in communicating better with the fans and the leeds public watch this space

Agree0 Disagree0

Ken bates is a QPR fan, without him we would have no club and no potential takeover. Where were these potential buyers when we owed 100.000.000 ****inng nowhere that's where. We are debt free and we have a competitive squad and Neil warnock

What did Neil say the other day I will have to get people out before bribing in before takeover goes through. Well we have got ride of three so let's see from here on in

Agree0 Disagree0

I still find it extremely encouraging that the members of the investment company representing the consortium were at the Wolves game.
And that on David Heighs executive profile he is stated as a "Keen rugby player and Leeds United fan"
I think we want to battle hard until January and look at what we need then.
It's obvious no deal will be done before the 31st.

Robbie rogers has gone to Stevenage on loan till jan, squad not big enough as it is!

Believable32 Unbelievable1

Great idea,we have far too many wingers as it is....not

Agree0 Disagree0

I trust Warnocks judgement, maybe Rogers hasnt had a real opportunity but heres his chance to prove his worth on loan.

Agree1 Disagree0

Think that's a good call by Warnock personally. Rogers needs to get hardened to the English game if he is to have any chance of being up to Championship standard in the future. NW sees him in training every day, so I too trust his judgement. Chapel A

Agree1 Disagree0

I trust warnock aswell but are squad is so small i cant see how were gunna manage the next 10 games let alone the whole season :/ takeover needs to hurry up if were to have a chance
MOT Ben

Agree0 Disagree0

Personally i think this is a great idea as we can see how he does for them and he should be a stand out player most weeks if he wants to make it in the first team at leeds

Agree0 Disagree0

Perhaps he put him on the transfer list and then on loan is a test to see his determination to fight for a place? Then if his attitude impresses him he could feature regularly in the second half of the season.

Agree0 Disagree0

Hopefully Rogers will do a Somma and really find his feet in English football and come back to us in January flying.

Also maybe shifting some of the wage budget (although I imagine not a great amount) to fund a loan striker?

Agree0 Disagree0

23 Aug 2012 15:48:58
Connor wickham could be on his way out of Sunderland. Youngish hungry quick and strong. Would fit with warnocks hoofball style and give better mobility up front along with a goal threat. Worth a punt.

Info passed to me by my source is either bothroyd or maynard to sign on loan by weekend along with the ling awaited attacking left footed winger

Believable17 Unbelievable39

Stop talking rubbish warnock said we had no money 4 transfers,so stop windin us up

Agree0 Disagree0

If you read the post properly you would see that it doesn't say Warnock is spending money, it clearly says we will loan them

Agree2 Disagree0

They still cost money in wages west ham won't be paying him peanuts and I can't see them wanting to pay him while he plays for another club there not man city after all

Agree1 Disagree0

I swear warnock said we haven't even got money for wages so a loan would be out the question aswell
mot ben

Agree0 Disagree0

Loans still cost money ie wages.

Agree0 Disagree0

Just got ride of three players barn door, Connolly Rodgers. We will be replacing them with somebody could be feasible

Agree0 Disagree0

Original poster here.
What was the point in having permanent signings costing wages that don't play ?
If we get rid (like we have) we CAN afford to pay wages to decent players NW wants, ie Maynard, Templeton, Bothroyd

Agree0 Disagree0

The decent players you mention are on a lot more wages than the players we are trying to get rid of..

Agree0 Disagree0

If you guys talking about wages kept a track on the news and NW interviews at all you'd know he has said today in press conference he is going to have to turn to loan signings when the squads of 25 are named in the premiership on the 1st of september... so won't be by weekend like poster said but will happen.

Agree0 Disagree0

Don't know if anyone watched the Liverpool match templeton was man of match......there's your attacking winger

NW has asked Bates to extend the budget and hijack Blackpools bid for Dobbie.

Blackpool have refused to budge on a salary that Dobbie is not happy with and NW sees him as the creative midfielder he needs.

Also enquired about Tongue after Greens injury.

Believable15 Unbelievable38

NW would not waste his time asking bates to extend his purse strings as he knows he will get told to do one

Agree0 Disagree0

We need a playmaker badly

Agree0 Disagree0

Would be an amazing signing but sadly it wont happen

Agree0 Disagree0

And we would offer a more lucrative salary??

Agree0 Disagree0

I know i keep banging on about it but Quinn is the creative midfielder we need....he'd be fantastic

The takeover will not happen till after the transfer window closes, then they won't have to stump up any money for transfers, that would be a good start owners who are loaded but don't want to spend any money on improving the side, why else is it taking so long.

Believable11 Unbelievable35

Don,t talk fecking rubbish
Tog

Agree1 Disagree0

I agree, I cannot see any takeover or investment happening until after the transfer window closes. If the proposed new owner wanted to invest money the deal would have been pushed through just as it was at Forest

Agree0 Disagree0

It would allow us to avoid paying inflated prices so it would make sense....

Agree0 Disagree0

Don't improve the side don't get promotion

Agree0 Disagree0

The perspective owners do want to spend money..the dleay is purely down to KB..!

Agree0 Disagree0

The takeover of Forest is completely different to the situation at Leeds. Forest were wholly owned by the estate of the deceased owner, there was nobody else involved. As has been mentioned before, the ownership of Leeds is extremely complex therefore the hold-up could be for a number of reasons. Unfortunately I'm not 'in the know' and don't know anybody who is. If the takeover happens before the transfer window closes then fine, if it doesn't then I'm afraid that's life.

Paul Green most likely out for a few months with knee injury. I say Doiuf will be starting on the right where Green played v Wolves. Personally I'd give Robbie Rogere some time on the bench, bring on around the 70th minute or so and let him start v Oxford. Show us what he can do and let him stay at Leeds

Crmd

Believable22 Unbelievable4

Gone on loan pal

Agree0 Disagree0

Green was badly missed when he went off against wolves, lets hope he makes a quick recover.

Agree0 Disagree0

Seems my logic didnt pay off. Robbie off to stevenage on loan. Good luck to him

Crmd

Agree0 Disagree0

Well your not going to see roggers on the bench this season as he has joined stevenage on-loan.
Me personally would have love to of seen him givin a chance but hopfully this will free up wages for NW to bring someone in

MOT

Agree0 Disagree0

He's just signed for Stevenage on a short term loan.

Agree0 Disagree0

Where did you get a few months from NW said anywhere between 4-8 weeks so 1-2 months..

Agree0 Disagree0

I read a story saying two months, to me this is a few.

Top Info. Harry Kewell is on his way back to Leeds United. Meeting NW later on today. Reliable source! Also Boothroyd sholud be in by end of week..

Believable17 Unbelievable67

Kewell not welcome in Leeds & nw not that daft 2 bring him in .as not 1 real Leeds fan wood go 2 the games

Agree2 Disagree0

Since when has stoke also been known as Leeds United ?

Agree0 Disagree0

No he isn't

StevenLufc

Agree0 Disagree0

If he made an announcement attempting to make peace with the fans, i see no reason not to take him anymore. we need his type.

Agree0 Disagree0

See for me you would be band for life just for suggesting that crap
Tog

Agree0 Disagree0

Not sure about boothroyd but am hearing noises bout kewell as well. dont think he be welcome though.

Agree0 Disagree0

I heard Kewell was on his way to Stoke on a pay per play deal

Agree0 Disagree0

Really hope not as I don't want to see him in a Leeds shirt again because he doesn't deserve to wear one after going to play for those scum.

Agree0 Disagree0

The most ridiculous rumour I have ever seen on this site, end of.

Agree0 Disagree0

One of our best players of the last decade or so -was terrific at his best. Agree he would need to make some sort of public statement, but see no reason in principle why this shouldn't happen. My only question would be: can he still do it? His 'crimes' pale into relative insignificance compared to Diouf's.

Agree0 Disagree0

He expects to be able to stab us in the back to join a team, and then join a team that murders our fans, and then ask us for another contract?

Agree0 Disagree0

I agree Kewell doesn't deserve to wear are great club shirt after playing for them Turkish scum!
MOT Ben

Agree0 Disagree1

Kewell is not welcome back at Elland Road ever again, he does'nt deserve to even step foot on the grass. I would rather nail my knees to the floor than see him in a LUFC shirt again.

The D man

Agree0 Disagree0

There is not a chance of that mercenary coming back to Leeds. Its not just because of the he joined, have we forgotten him blackmailing us to join Robberpool?

Agree0 Disagree0

Would b a good player 2 bring in, yes hes done bad but ppl have a bad past n he didnt kill anyone so give him a chance.

Agree0 Disagree0

I will never support Leeds United again if Kewell came back - and that is after 30 years. kevin speight was a person al friend of ours and to even imagine we could forgive Kewell for going to Galatasary & then bare-face lie that it was as a peace option .... wel it's disgusting. clearly the poster on here who suggests he should just apologise either wants their head testing or is too young to understand

Agree0 Disagree0

NW signed Diouf when nobody wanted him to so I wouldn't put it past him signing Kewell . I for one would welcome him back as he was a great player for Leeds and would be that spark of creativity we need

Agree0 Disagree0

No! No! No!

Agree0 Disagree0

Apart from the fact that nobody seems to want kewell because he went abroad, we musnt forget hes nearly 34! we need youth, pace and hunger! not an over the hill player looking for his last payday!

Agree0 Disagree0

Ithought is all rubbish about Kewell but have heard from a trustworthy insider that he has met Warnock and will be in squad on Sat. Unbelievable.

Agree0 Disagree0

Cant believe a few on here and that's all it is would actually welcome him back! not a chance in hell would i, what he done in playing for them is unforgivable
MOT Ben

Agree0 Disagree0

The only people welcoming this move must be too young to remember what he's like - as a person, not a footballer. He shafted us (the club AND the fans) good and proper. No self-respecting Leeds fan would want this bloke anywhere near Elland Road ever again. {Ed013's Note - You all know my thoughts! No Chance!}

Agree0 Disagree0

Keep the judas out, hes a Cee U Next Tuesday and if he appeared on the pitch at Elland road, it wouldnt be long before he was off it, no one will ever forget where he went and what he did!!!!!!

Spoke to one of my managers at work who has told me a few rumours of the past year or so. He told me about the take over before it was announced, paddy kenny, jason pearce. But he did also tell me a few rumours that never happened. Anyhow, he said this is a strong link that we are on the verge of signing Jay Bothroyd on a season long loan. This would be a great signing in my opinion. See where it goes...

MOT!

Believable21 Unbelievable18

I would say relations between leeds and qpr are a tad frayed around the edges at the moment, cant see this one, would love it to be true though. SP

Wrong we are signing Maynard.

QPR have made a formal complaint to Leeds accusing goalkeeper Paddy Kenny of sending a series of abusive messages to a member of their management team. {Ed013's Note - Yes, how childish and boring journalism!}

Believable26 Unbelievable2

How is it the journalism that is childish and boring and not the 34 year old man so bitter he can't stop himself texting and tweeting about his former club like a spoilt child? {Ed013's Note - You must be a QPR supporter and cant have seen the abuse he gets on Twitter. It has been reported on by a popular morning newspaper, how sad! People give their lives for this Country and find the story on page 18! yet some QPR board member spits out his dummy and complains to the media instead of keeping it in house, man to man and it gets in the papers, find some better stories!}

Agree0 Disagree0

Can't see much happening about the e-mails to QPR staff unless he has said something very inflammatory or libilous. However he may get a slap on the wrist for some of his twitter comments to QPR fans as NW doesn't really like the players using it and this goes against his rules slightly. However nothing really bad said just a bit of banter so expect Kenny to be told to be more careful what he puts on twitter in the future and that is that.

Agree0 Disagree0

More worrying is presumably being out till 3am (or at least certainly been up drinking, enough to be sending this sort of text till 3am... as reported).
We had a match on Tuesday!.. and we looked lethargic. Ironically Kenny played well but was he out alone? Draw your own conclusions.

Agree0 Disagree0

He does right. The 'Tin Pot Club' board can't accept that they let the better keeper go and got punished for it. Nice one Paddy!

Agree0 Disagree0

Qpr has today made the same comment about there keeper green by putting in bid for ceasre who if he went to qpr would be there number 1 lol

Agree0 Disagree0

All this from two men who choose to run their club from a twitter account, all i can say is if you put it out there then you have to expect criticism, grow up QPR board and at least show some respect for your fans.

Heard a rumour that I think is total rubbish but thought i'd share it anyway. The rumour was that when the takeover happens, the new owners are going to install there own manager and get rid of NW as they want a yes man at the helm who will just accept the transfers the board want and try to play with the team given to him not what he wants. NW too hard headed to work like that and would quit anyway, as to be honest would any self respecting manager.

Believable3 Unbelievable59

I agree with you mate !! Its total rubbish !

Agree1 Disagree0

Potential new owners have already stated they want Warnock in charge some time ago.

JW

Agree1 Disagree0

You're right mate it's total rubbish.

Agree1 Disagree0

Seems nonsense to me - if Warnock had any inkling he would be out of favour with new owners, why would he strill be here?

He nearly left earlier in the Summer - only the prospect of the takeover kept him on board.

Agree1 Disagree0

What take over!!!

Agree1 Disagree0

I love the idea of the conversation amongst board members...

"What we need... is a Yes man. Someone with no ambition, or vision, who will do what we say."

"Brilliant idea. I can see no way that this could possibly fail. We've all watched football before. It stands to reason that we'd be brilliant at managing the club through a drone..."

Agree1 Disagree0

Yeah i would have thought that this rumour seems very unlikely. However a system like this does work in a lot of clubs where there is a director of football who with the board buys and sells the players and the manager is there to do just that, manage the players given to him.

Agree0 Disagree0

This is what happens or used to happen at the top italian clubs. The board bought the big names to bring in the money from shirt sales and season tickets and the manager was expected to get the players to work together to win games which sometimes it worked sometimes it didn't. Very rare for it to happen in the UK, infact the closest one I can think of is Ranierri at Chelsea when Abramovic took over.

Agree0 Disagree0

Seeing a few posts on here and also some of the lads talking at work saying NW will walk if we don't start winning soon as he's in his last year. As I said to them, NW has too big an ego to walk away from this job and will only go if pushed from above. Having said that I did hear a rumour that he is happy to use a few loan players to tide us over till christmas as the takeover is looking like completing after the window closes, but if there is no significant investment in the team in january he'll go as although he likes a challenge he knows he can't do miracles.

Believable19 Unbelievable9

'If we don't start winning'? We went pre season unbeaten, we're into the next round of the cup and have played 2, won 1 and lost one. So what are you talking about? You make no sense.

Agree0 Disagree0

'if we don't start winning soon'...wtf are you talking about? We have only lost 1 game, against last years play-off finalists and we beat another of the favourites for promotion on the opening day of the season...utter, utter nonsence!

Agree0 Disagree0

Played 3 games won 2 lost 1

Agree0 Disagree0

We won on Saturday?!

Agree0 Disagree0

Win or lose, it's his team. If he walks away, he's walking away from what he built.

I dont think you give him much credit if you think it's true. If he wanted to go, he'd've gone by now.

Oh, and incidentally, we went all the way through pre-season unbeaten, and have won 2 lost 1 so far this season. It's not like we're on the back of a losing streak!

Agree0 Disagree0

Hi, agree with above replies regarding the winning thing, last I heard, 4-nil and one-nil for were counted as wins. My point refers to "he's in his last year."
Technically correct, as this is his first and may be his only year, that is unless some of the lads at work decide he should stay on longer.

Agree0 Disagree0

If you read the post properly I said thats what some work collegues and some people on this site have said not me. My comments are below and I don't think for one second NW will leave of his own accord unless as I said he doesn't get any investment in the team. I'm perfectly happy with 3 points from 2 games, if it was 3 points from 5-6 games then I would start getting worried then

Agree0 Disagree0

Agree with the original poster, he may only be here until the end of the year and then possibly retiring so nothing less than getting leeds promoted will be the ending he wants for his career. Only thing that will stop him is the lack of funds. He nearly went in the summer when he was promised money by Bates and didn't get it, he only stayed because of the takeover. If he doesn't get any money in January he can walk away with the excuse that he was given no money so couldn't complete his task which to him would be a failure but not of his doing so ok.

Agree1 Disagree0

Just cause we lost 1 game against a decent Blackpool team there's no need to panic just yet, and im quite sure Warnock isn't either, when we beat Peterborough on Saturday which im confident we will it'll all be good again and were going up people will be saying, there's 46 games in a season we'll be there or there abouts this year i got a feeling
