warnock is after a similar striker to becchio to rotate with him . mccormack ,somma and diouf will rotate in the other striker position . diouf may also be used in a less advanced position at times

Believable20 Unbelievable31

It's just not true is it. He's already stated that he wants someone with pace, and if there's one thing Becchio isn't, it's pacey!

24 Dec 2012 18:32:24
warnock said that he is after a striker incase becchio gets injured or stops scoring goals so surely he would want a similar type of striker its also to put pressure on becchio to perform so its probably as close to the truth as you can get

Agree0 Disagree0

Rotating somma on the other side would b pathetic as when bec plays that would mean we were playing with 2 target men n none have pace so i dnt think this post is wise

Is faurlin coming to leeds ? Would be a top notch signing, him and Austin in the center when Austin comes out of injury

What do you lot think

Believable55 Unbelievable23

Hope this comes off we would take control of game with them 2 and Norris I'm middle . Mot

Agree0 Disagree1

He seems to be starting regularly now under Redknapp so I cant see it

I can reveal the striker that NW is looking at and who will join us in January is Johnny Russell

Believable16 Unbelievable64

23 Dec 2012 14:39:09
No it isn't although i hope we sign him. The striker for Jan is going to be of a higher profile. Most likely is CMS.

Agree0 Disagree0

I can reveal you are making it up

Agree0 Disagree0

Are you the same guy who always mentions Russell. Are you his agent?

Crmd

Agree0 Disagree1

He is on loan at Raith Rovers, not the high class signing we need, one for the future hmm maybe, maybe not. {Ed007's Note - No he isn't, he plays for Dundee Utd.}

Agree1 Disagree0

Its either CMS or (if papers are to be believed) RL.
Either will do me fine although I'd say another attacking midfielder like LMcG and a left back will see us right for new year promotion challenge

Weren't we linked with him in the summer seen videos would be a good signing him and Gary mckay-steven

Agree0 Disagree0

It doesn't make a jot of difference who they play for now does it really? Who did Snodgrass sign from?.. Livingston I think. Who did Beckford sign from?.. Wealdstone I think. I stand corrected on both of these but I know they were both very small teams but who cares. Everyone starts somewhere

Agree0 Disagree0

We already have 4 decent strikers; if another one was to come then someone would leave. In the championship decent players do not want to be sat on the bench for long periods. I think Warnock is quite right when he says he would be happy to simply sign the loan players on permanent deals.

Agree0 Disagree0

Its not Jonny its Jack! woof woof

Agree0 Disagree0

The striker that Warnock will go for will have bags of pace. Thats why we sometimes get cut open at the back and we don't have that in are squad.

Agree0 Disagree0

Best rumour of the lot ... Beckford, CMS, Lambert etc. Lets pick up an up and coming player for the future and who knows ... he could be even better than any of the others mentioned, or Rob Snodgrass ... plenty of talented players playing in the scottish leagues.

Agree0 Disagree0

Agree to 2nd above, striker will be pacey and used from the bench.

Just a question really . Would we be better to spend are money on 2 class wingers ie Jerome Thomas and max gradel . Rather than another striker ? I just think beccio is on fire and we already have mcormack and somma ? Agree for wingers disagree for another striker . Mot.

Believable81 Unbelievable17

For me I agree because green is hard working but is no threat in the right wing position. Bring gradel or Boyd for the wing. Get Rudy back and maybe bring in mcgugan and we are ready. I dont think we need another striker with somma returning

Agree0 Disagree1

23 Dec 2012 14:41:02
Thomas at least till end of season and Mad Max permanent would be fantastic!

Agree0 Disagree0

Hi I think we are missing a really good midfield general tonge and Austin are good Norris average brown rubbish. 2 wingers are needed with pace also one striker but the defence and gk are good as long as we keep tait. Good wingers would be Gradel and admoah from Bristol city with Chris wood or beckford coming back. Sign up a strong leader in cm a type of Lampard cm

Agree0 Disagree1

Somma's been out for 18 months so we cant just assume he will be as good as before his injury, I expect McCormack to be used as an impact sub as that's what Warnock was originally planning and he seems to prefer Diouf and they are both the same kind of striker. Also I think Green and Byram could develop a good partnership on the right so the main positions I think we need to bolster are a playmaker with match winning quality at CM, striker to push Becchio as his place is guaranteed at the moment and probably a left back as well as Pelts is unconvincing there.

Agree0 Disagree0

24 Dec 2012 01:42:37
we wont need another striker yet three fit and if 1 inj recall poleon

Agree0 Disagree0

Dont forget, about a month and a bit ago we were practically without any strikers, and relied on Diouf and Varney (Cheryl Cole...) We definitely need another another striker.

Agree0 Disagree0

23 Dec 2012 10:30:15
anyone think emnes would be a good sighning

Believable52 Unbelievable45

We don't need him . got becchio somma and mcormack . as good as anything in this league

Agree0 Disagree0

No he was awful vs leeds. very overrated

Agree0 Disagree1

Yes he his class good finisher very strong good in the air and good feet...i would love leeds to get him in

Heard Ricky lambert and Craig macail smith are top of warnocks wanted list.

Believable55 Unbelievable21

Lambert was reported in the daily fail which also said leeds were bought for £17 million which is way off the mark and as hes starting regularly for southampton its pretty safe to assume they have no idea what theyre talking about...although it seems likely that CMS is a target

Agree1 Disagree0

Smith all the way mot

Daily fail linking us to Rickie lambert. Can't see it happening myself, but would be one of the best signings we'd of made in the last few years if it was to happen.

Believable39 Unbelievable31

I know right, also states in that article that GFH totally bought us for £17M... thought the £52M figure has already been confirmed or thereabouts?

Agree1 Disagree0

The 17M was for the November payment which bought GFH 33 percent they have now completed the deal for the remaining 67 percent as we all know. The paper is getting a little muddled up. If they got their facets right maybe people would buy the paper!

Agree0 Disagree0

No it states that 17 million was the final payment.

Agree0 Disagree0

They also said CMS would cost £1.5m judging that Brighton paid £2m for him I highly doubt it

Agree0 Disagree0

This wud be a cracking signing but lets be honest he's been there top goal scorer last few seasons and he is aregular this yr so don't get your hopes up I think striker, left back and a quality right wing and keep the loan signing we will be where we belong MOT

Agree0 Disagree0

Just because a piece of paper has "News" on it, afraid it now means "we will print any rubbish, without any foundation, and some people will be daft enough to believe it!"

Just ask yourself, why would Lambert want to join Leeds when he is currently playing in the Premiership, and if he did not want to stay at Saints, could move to any number of Premiership clubs? He is in his 30s so hardly interested in helping a club to promotion to secure a higher level of football.

And, by the way, he is the highest paid player at Saints, and still is working to try and get an England call-up.

Apart from these slight hiccups, the Daily fail is spot on! Suggest you start to spend your money on a more honest paper, and you might have half a chance of finding out some NEWS.

23 Dec 2012 14:44:21
Would be a great signing but i would prefer CMS if it was one or the other.

Agree0 Disagree0

We should have signed Lambert instead of barndoor billy when he was at bristol rovers

Agree0 Disagree0

I actually spent 0p on the paper its facinating what you can find out on the internet. Plus this is a rumours site as far as im aware this post is a rumour together with my opinion. Chilling out would be a fantastic idea. Merry Christmas to all that are Leeds MOT x

Agree0 Disagree0

You really think that is a "rumour"?

OK, "Saints to replace Lambert with Messi". That must now be a rumour also.

Rumours are different to fantasy, you know.

Happy Christmas.

Neil Warnock to be given around the 10 million pound Mark for january. He hopes this can conclude the deals of all lonees and plus some other players to increase and to guide us up the table. MOT!!

Believable20 Unbelievable55

10 million for loans we've got plus a couple of players, ARE YOU SNIFFING GLUE LAD!!! This would mean that the loans would cost about 5 million and another 5 on the couple of players. The loan players you would get for about 1.5 t 2 million. So please wake up and smell the coffee.
I would say, we will spend about 4-5 million on all the players we need to keep and buy.
SGT WARNOCKS BARMY ARMY!!!
mot4life

Agree0 Disagree0

10M my ar/e lad

Warnock wants everyone he has on loan to stay, thats a maximumof around £2M in transfer fees, Thomas will stay on loan till end of season, leaving around £2M for a striker

more like £5M

Agree0 Disagree0

More like £100 quid Bates had more moneythan these guys. No new signings to be made. Even Tongue had gone back as cant afford to keep him any longer.

Not a rumour, more like a suggestion - I think a realistic signing for the striker position would be Vaz Te from West Ham, thoughts?

Believable25 Unbelievable43

He would be great but I dont think west ham would part.

Agree0 Disagree0

Max gradel back feeding off becchio with diouf and thomas serving the goods would be like having strach speed wallace and chapman back a match made in heaven with rudy in the mix all we would be missing would be missing is a gary mac defence wise tait byram possibly pearce and a proper left back i think we have a decent side to get us out of this league

Agree0 Disagree0

I would like to see beckford, Austin, wood or a striker from a forgein league someone who the division has no knowledge of. Lets see of we can find another becchio or somma

Agree0 Disagree0

23 Dec 2012 16:03:03
hes not bad from watford, matej vydra, hes banging the goals in

Agree0 Disagree0

Vaz Te has been Allardyce's man for over a decade, in just the same way that Paddy Kenny is Warnock's.
Can't see him performing for anyone else.

Agree0 Disagree0

Vas te has been allardyces man for 10 years? must hav been the 3 goals he scored in 7 years at bolton or his failed attempts in greece and the spl granted he was decent at west ham and barnsley, i wouldent waste too much money on him
