Brown to be captain for Portsmouth game

I think he'll make Snoddy captain, with his new free role NW clearly rates him, u may as well make ure best player captain. {Ed013's Note - I agree}

Snodgrass should be captain. He leads by example & in a new free role should do wonders (hopefully). Brown will be in and out of the team

Never rated brown, he was a panic signing at the time, can't last 90 mins.
Snods need to be made captain and offered a new deal, along with Clayton and White, these players could have massive futures at ER under Warnock

I wouldn't make snoddy captain ,it will get in the way of his game and he will be playing the wrong role really . captain wants to be someone that can see the whole game and can get there voice across to everyone on the pitch at 90% of the game .so for me it would have to be a CB(o'brien) or a CM (clayton) . NW will probably bring in a player on loan with the intention of signing them on perm deal in summer and that will be captain next season

I agree about a CB or CM captain - I'm never convinced that wingers make good captains, as the normally have a different mentality and approach to the ame than what you need from a captain (although Strachan proved a strong exception).

At the moment though, none of our players in those positions (in my opinion) are ready for captaincy. I think that Lees and Clayton have potential, but are too inexperienced to lead the team at the moment. I wouldn't have O'Brien as captain - they're meant to set an example, not refuse to play when they're a little under the weather.

Perhaps he'll bring in on loan a captain - Derry? Hill?

I agree, CB or CM captain. Wingers need to concentratre on their own game. personally i think Lonergan is a good captain, for now. New captain for next season, Fitz Hall maybe? or Clint Hill

I think that maybe you are feeling a little bit under the weather to suggest that we should bring in Derry or Hill on loan & make either one of them captain. By the sound of it you know as little about football as you do about the illness.

I back Snodgrass for captaincy before but If OB is going to play week in week out, I think he's the obvious choice til the end of the season at least. He's bags of experience and been around, the young ones at the back could learn a thing or two from him.
Would definitely like to see Fitz Hall join on loan.

Andros Townsend is returning to Tottenham as he is unhappy at Leeds.

I like NW response to Townsend leaving. "I'm disappointed because we've lost a player, but I don't want people who don't want to be here so good riddance I say if that's what he wants to do."

Glad he's gone, maybe we can get a player in now who wants to play for us, he left so he can go to birmingpam lol

Lets hope he sorts out some of the 'permanent' players too then....

I like this and I like warnocks reaction, about time we got rid of all these loan 'stars' albeit he chose to end the loan.

With him and Delph gone it should free up some wages and squad places for some decent players who want to actually play for leeds united.

CB and Cm would be nice over the next few days with a view to permanent deals.

I wish O'Dea would do the same. Hopefully Sam and Rogers can show what they're capable of now - if Sam can show the potential he did at the start of last year then we've got ourselves a proper player. Just needs to get into his groove. I

Warnock was looking at Sam when he was at Charlton, maybe he will be able to get the best out of him, as for Townsend he always looked like he was in it for himself there. He doesnt wanna play for us then f*** him i am not the least bit disappointed

I think white is a good enough player to play down wing if u want pace but i think we need to be playing a player that has some control and skill . lets see if Rogers can get a start soon and hope hes as good as hes rated by Jurgen Klinsmann

Wont go on too much as all covered in posts above , but good NW is right we dont want or need loan players who aren't up for it !

I've always been against warnock, alwas thought he was a b*stard, but with comments like these hes starting to feel like our b*stard.
