Paul Robinson been told that he's surplus to requirements at Blackburn as they are trying to get Brad Friedal there.
Would Robinson be a good acquisition for Leeds?
In my opinion he's better than Kenny as he commands his area better, and is also a better keeper.
Thoughts anyone?

Dont think keeper is our priorty.a lot of work needs doing all over park.plainly obvious palyers not good enough, green, drury, norris, varney even dare i say it Luciano.

I agree with the reply. Goalkeeper is not a priority. Kenny is not good at commanding his box but is a decent shot stopper. If the two loan signings perform well we are not in bad shape although if Luciano doesn't improve we will need a striker who lead the line, hold up the ball and score his fair share. Becchio could once upon a time but not good recently. Hope it had more to do with the service than his skill level!

Agree1 Disagree0

Luciano not good enough!?!? Were you saying that at the start of the season when he was free scoring!? What a stupid comment! With the right service luciano will start scoring again, every striker hits a buffer in their career!

Also, I would only say Varney out of that list is not up to it! Remember that confidence is low at the minute, a couple of wins could change that! Drury, green and Norris are certainly good enough at this level for me! Without doubt.

Scot MOT!

If we do move for a keeper (unlikely with Warnock in charge unless Kenny gets injured) then personally i would prefer that young lad we loaned last season - was it McCarthy? Top class and could grow with the team into the Premiership.

I thought he looked past his best in the Blackburn games at ER. Perosnally I dont think Kenny is a problem to the team and has actually rescued us a few points of late. Where as we havnt taken our better chances in the games. Ashdown looks like a solid 2nd keeper too so let focus on creating the chances and finishing them.

Agree0 Disagree0

No way on this earth would warnock replace kenny. They r too close for that to happen. Anyhow i dont think our goalkeeper is a priority tbh. Every keeper is crap with a bad defence in front of him.

I would like this

Kenny
byram tate pearce cunningham
matt phillips austin mcgugan ince
becchio mccormack

subs.. ashdown white lees hall thomas barkley pope

others.. peltier norris green thompson poleon brown

Agree0 Disagree0

I agree with most comments and i don't think a keeper is priority plus we have Ashdown who could maybe make the grade with the right tuition at Thorpe Arch. As for Luciano he hasn't had the service or back up but hopefully now Mcormack is back they could rekindle the partnership of last year.

No we have kenny and ashdown if we are going for a new keeper id rather get someone young

Reply to Scot re Luciano. I dont think my comment was stupid. If you read my comment fully I said I hoped it was a 'service' problem not a skill one. In addition if you take his penalties out of his list he is hardly free scoring. I hope he does better but his control needs to improve also- although just hoofing the ball up to him and hoping doesn't do him any favours. As I said I hope its more about service rather than skill. We will see - I go to all home games and most away!

Agree0 Disagree0

Personal opinion dont want him
also keepsrs not priority as others say.
i dont know where the priority lies though its hard, maybe this upcoming service to becchio will be it.cos really we got a good team just maybe though a team that has been questioning their own judgements

We need someone with more stature and presence to command the goal, so would definitely be better than kenny- even being taller and longer to reach each part of the goal would be an improvement. Dont lets put up with second best and please warnock swallow your pride now you could have the resources. Admit the keeper is a weak link.

Agree0 Disagree0

Think we haven't seen the best of paddy yet wait untill January so we can buy a few decent players and he'll come good

Agree0 Disagree0

Scot if half the team i.e norris, drury, green and becchio are good enough for the team in your eyes u want leeds playing in league 1 again! Remember we aint won a game in ages i know we got 2 decent signings yesterday and we need them but they are not gunna change everything and win us every game. still feel we need a LB, another CB, CM and a CF, good players covering all those positions then i feel the team will be capable of getting us promoted. Those players you metioned are carp! Still the Future is looking good can't wait till jan get some proper quality in the squad. Ben MOT!

Is it just me or am i the only person who thinks paddy kenny has been great for us. he has made sum top draw saves for us this season with a bad defence in front of him and hes getting peppered with 20-30 shots a game at him and only concedes 1 or at worst 2 (apart from wotford where we had no defense out at all) if we got some good defenders out then problem solved! Don't want robbo back don't need him. MOT {Ed003's Note - Our local paper (B'pool) did a survey for fans to say who has impressed most from an opposition team so far this year, Kenny got mentioned a bit, just thought I'd let you know what other fans think of him}

Agree0 Disagree0

Would rather us sign an up and coming keeper in alex mccarthy

Agree0 Disagree0

Nothing wrong with norris, drury ,green and becchio, certainly good enough to help us get in the top 6, so whoever you are who said they are crap , you are an person, do you actually know how many games these players have started in our winless run, if you did you wouldn't spout such crap

in my opinion for what its worth paddy kenny is a top keeper amid speculation about robbo. no kenny NO warnock,, SIMPLES... MOT ash telford S/C

Agree0 Disagree0

Hey ed bout the b'pool paper Kenny had his best game there so bound to get a mention bet he don't get a mention from Watford but agreed he definitely isn't a weak link just don't think the hoof it up the pitch and c style works for us need quality wide players get the width back from the gradel Snodgrass days {Ed003's Note - he did play well so no surprise like you say,the tactics are what Warnock has done all his career,he won't change now}

Agree0 Disagree0

Becchio is clearly a top top player 4 this league n if it wernt for poor players like brown shooting instead of passing or peltier attacking instead of defending or varney getting a daft red card then he would score, look at his poor service no one in the middle passes to the strikers. becchio has plenty of skill n always will have its our poor midfield who prefer to shoot than pass ie tonge, brown. kenny should never be replaced as without him we would b in bottom 3 as hes saved us a few times.

Agree0 Disagree0

Command his area? who are you kidding when was the last time you saw Paul Robinson come off his line among a crowd of players and collect a high ball? Stick with Kenny

Agree0 Disagree0

Would have loved him back before Kenny as he has been quoted as saying he would love to come back . Would be a former player worth having back and would have been an obvious choice as captain
