Cos he aint no good hes had god knows how much time to sort out the back 4 an there still s**t so there 4 he aint done his job properly lets be fair he has had more than enough time to sort them out

For the past 3 seasons we have struggled to find the right blend of defensive players. If promotion is to be a realistic target then we need to sort this problem now.

I think he's too old, he just wouldn't have the required pace.

Davies wouldnt get on with bates at all you saw him publicly slag off forest board for no money

all these so called rumours about signing front men, am i the only leeds fan who can see, that its a central defender we need, (an half decent keeper would not go a miss), young full backs lookm like prospects, midfield ok, very strong now upfront,

I agree we only have one capable cb in o'dea the rest are shocking we also need another rb lees is very average and gets beaten far too often

To be fair Lonegran has dome OK. If you have poor players in front of you it makes it very hard. He is by far better than Ankergran on last nights showing.

I agree with you but a half decent keeper? Lonergan's been fantastic! As well as either a new defensive coach or centre backs, I think we need a new right back too. Tom Lees could be a great central defender but he just aint a RB. That Lawrie Wilson Grayson was looking at could be a good buy. MOT!

Agree Totally up front and midfield look strong. central defence is woeful. I have no suggestions on who to bring in but do we even have a defensive coach? if so when is he going to start the coaching part? Its not that they dont try or dont get tackles in its their positioning every time they are caught ball watching

I think you may be the only Leeds fan who doesn't think our keeper is a big improvement on our last few keepers.

You're right about the centre half, but dont talk s**t Lonergan is a good keeper and i prefer him to schmeichel

Bromby cost us the three goals last night- full backs look good- if O'Brien is any way near fitness play him alongside O'Dea until we sort something!

Tom Lees is a centre half mate, and will be a bloody good one at that. Larry missed the boat with Clint Hill good player and can play left back or centre half gone to forest. Whatever your taking can I have some please because Lonergan is brilliant but he is only as good as the defence in front of him and we all know there s**t

If we brought in a right back our problems would be sorted. I'd like to see Conolly given another shot because Lees is a great player but not so much going forward. Yes Conolly had a poor start to the season but last season he was very steady!

Fully agree with you mate. Goal scoring seems to come freely but defending seems like a bad word. Lets get the defence sorted and the keeper and maybe we have a chance for promotion.

Lonagan is 1 of best keepers in that league if not the best. its full backs we need,and move lees to cb with o'dea

What lonergan a great keeper the only reason we are conseding goals is because of are defence

SG should have played lees as CB and bromby as RB....would have solved all the problems on the night me thinks

we do need another CB and a RB (as cover for lees) but most importantly we need to sort out defending from set pieces (we have no clue?!?) a new defensive coach is essential...radebe maybe hopefully??

Centre backs are all poor get shut of Bruce O Brien and Kisnorbo, we need to bring back Kilgallon and spend some decent money on another, and and I would swap Pugh and White round, Aidy would be quicker on the wing and Pugh would show more experienced at the back.

Defenders need improving, but Lonnergan has been one our best players along with Clayton and McCormack

None of our defenders are good enough. Killer might help but we should have broken the bank for Woody. Lichai would help too.

i would be inclined to swap white and pugh around to se how that goes and put lees at centre back and try connolly again or brobmy at rb

A decent keeper?? Are you crazy? Lonergan has been our best player so far this season! Made 2 top saves against palace which helped us win the game. A penalty save at 1-1 vs bristol which helped us win the game... He is better than schimechel and we got him cheap. Lees needs to be dropped and white needs movin into midfield. Were too easy to get at. Bromby to rb paddy (or try lees at cb) with odea with pugh at lb....

heard around leeds that Radebe is coming in as a defensive coach only a rumour but surely he will teach how to defend set pieces and no nonsense defending also i think you cant blame an the defence, the back 4 has got to have experience playing together give bruce a chance and o'dea could work, and as you should of seen tonight it would work alot better with ugh LB and white LM.. thoughts?

I hope and pray this rumour is true but alas i feel its a fantasy again!! bates is the problem with his tupney aipney wage structure!!

Dont blame bates GRAYSON does not want lucas at leeds he is too popular with fans maybe they want him as new manager when results go wrong?
