Conor Sammon is set to hold talks with Neil Warnock in a meeting when the squad return from Cornwall. Wigan have given permission for Sammon to speak Leeds but no offer has been accepted yet. I don't know if it is a full transfer or a loan but Warnock and Sammon have spoke on the phone and Sammon is keen on the idea of Leeds.

It's early days but the sticking point is first team football, Sammon will only leave Wigan for first team football, however with Becchio, McCormack and Warnock wanting another striker and hoping for Somma to return by October, Warnock can't guarentee Sammon first team football.

Derby made an offer with first team football likely. Sammon would choose Leeds over Derby if he feels he'll be a regular, but only if he is given reassurances of this by Warnock.

I said on here on Saturday that Paul Connelly is a weekly customer at my fish shop and that he said Snodgrass was gone once Norwich went to 3m and all I got told by a number of you it was rubbish when it was 100% true!

He told me that Snoddy was off and we were replacing him with Templeton...watch this space!

Well I for one am pleased to see Snodgrass leave. We pulled him from the lower depths of scotish football and gave him the opportunity to play at one of the biggest names in world football!
We offered him 15K a week, a massive amount! You can't honestly tell me that they are going to pay him much more!
The reason he left was for premiership football, but come on now, how long will they be in the premiership for. I looked at the premiership odds last night, they're second only to the saints for finishing bottom!
I feel he is the one lacking ambition, not us, hes going to a club with a championship squad and a mediocre manager. The only reason why they are where they are now is due to paul lambert and he saw that they were a small club when Villa came knocking!
Good luck Robert, have a good 12 months in the premiership, you may visit us again next season, but by god our players will eventually have a longer stint in the top flight with us, than you will with the Leeds rejects!

Ben - Telford.

Believable1 Unbelievable4

Ben of Telford, Spot on, We want players to play for there White Shirt, He may still not go if the terms are not good enough.

Hopefully the money from the sale and the police will be put to good use.

On another note, we all hear about the due diligence process, has anyone though that the holds up may be the purchase of the Ground and Training Facilities. Property Deals take time and if correct, these are owned by the council and we all know how quickly they move, just a thought.

Agree0 Disagree0

Absolutely 100% spot on. Well said Ben!

Agree0 Disagree0

What a mean and miserable man you are, Ben from Telford! Snoddy has been a fabulous servant to our club -and a top man to boot. It has been a pleasure and a privilege to watch him give his all in our cause this last four years. Shame on you for letting sour grapes get the better of you -hopefully the rest of our fanbase is a little bigger than that and gives him the warm, appreciative round of applause he deserves when next he plays at Elland Road. Agree0 Disagree0

Fully agree mate, a good player but to be honest did he always give us a good 90 mins.
Dont get me wrong I would have liked him to stay but no point in keeping a player who want to go, obviously Warnock rate him give his comments but I am sure he will get a very suitable replacement and use the money well.

Agree0 Disagree0

Thanks to the previous replier, I'm glad that there is someone who appears to agree.
Living in a few hundred miles away I don't get up that often, the last game I saw was the home game vs. Barnsley. He was quiet clearly not the best player on the field that day, and from what I've seen on TV he can be invisible for whole games. I don't know who we could get in reality, but I'm sure that Neil will get the right man.

ben - telford

Agree0 Disagree0

At this moment in time i think they are a cracking price to get relegated, so many teams who get promoted struggle in their 2nd season and unlike Swansea, they don't keep many clean sheets.

Both Swansea & Norwich had exactly the same record, won 12, drew 11 & lost 15.

Swansea scored 44, Norwich 52, but Swansea conceded 51 (Same as Newcastle who finished 5th), Norwich conceded 66, only the bottom 3 conceded more.

Swansea kept 14 clean sheets, Norwich only kept 3

At the moment Norwich can be backed at 3/1 to get relegated, i am not saying it's a certainty but if they don't improve their defence it will put a lot of pressure on their attack, and i would rather take the 3/1 than the odds on for Reading or the Evs for Southampton

DJM

Agree0 Disagree0

Haha bitter leeds fan. championship team? what is yours then? Blue square north silly boy.

Agree0 Disagree0

He is going to a club in the Premiership that does not sell it's best players and where the directors invest in the club. He has ambitions and they could not be met if he stayed at Leeds. We sell our best players. He has been brilliant for us. Player of the year last year. Why can't you wish him luck and be realistic

Agree0 Disagree0

I have nothing against Snoddy. I think he has been a great player for Leeds. One man does not make a team and when players around him of decent cabilbre were sold on rather than improving the team he must feel let down. Anyone would want to be in a winning team. He wanted that team to be Leeds but again this year we have not been able to provide that level of confidence he requires. Even now we don't know if or when a takeover will happen or what imapct it might have on the club.

I don't care about my club is bigger than yours mentality but PL is PL.

If we cant offer him what he wants let him go and good luck. We get paid and Warnock is resourceful enough to stretch the 3mil to bring in a few decent players.

Also Pearce would be best placed for the captaincy having experience of the role at pompey.

Nervous but looking forward to the start of the season. Remember nothing worthwhile comes easy unless your M City.

JRB (Leeds Leeds Leeds).

Agree0 Disagree0

Snoddy is lazy, predictable, slow and greedy n is no where near the prem standards, norwich could have got a better player than him, he is good at freekicks n having long range greedy shots, norwich you are welcome to him, you wouldnt see a team like swansea buying him as they do there research n thats why they are so good. id like leeds to buy george boyd or templeton to replace him as both of them r better teamplayers n fast, i also think if mccormack wants to go then let him n get a better st as he aint that good, johnson has failed at norwich n so has howson n now snoddy will :) il enjoy watching us go up as they come down.

Agree0 Disagree0

Howson hasn't failed at all . if he had other prem clubs wouldn't be looking at him.snoddy will still be in prem league in years to come and will improve

I can't understand the snodgrass situation at all, if I was the potential buyer of Leeds utd with the deep pockets there supposed to have, why would they not make snodgrass play out the rest of his contract. I mean what's 2-3 million for a player a manager wants to build a team around. This situation says to me there's a real problem with this takeover or the future owners lack ambition like mr bates. I know a lot of you on here don't rate snodgrass but let's face it if a premier league club want him, he can't be to bad. Snodgrass said a few months ago he wanted to see how much ambition the club showed in the summer and I'm afraid it's been pretty woeful thus far.

Believable7 Unbelievable1

Because he made it clear he no longer wanted to play in the championship.so we hold on to a player who no longer wants to play for us.watt we get then is half the player he was over the past seasons and then lose him in January for a pittance,as his attitude is affecting the team.Plus Neil needs the money to re build the squad now.

Agree0 Disagree0

Yes I agree to some extent but if you were on £15k per week and someone offered you £40K what would you do? JD

Agree0 Disagree0

Snodgrass hasn't actually gone anywhere yet, why kick the guy?

Agree0 Disagree0

An excellent reply couldn't agree more, reminds of when LUFC wouldn't let Harry Kewell go to (I think) Juventus for something like £15 million, he just spat out the dummy and, played terribly for months after. Snodgrass obviously didn't see his future at Leeds, so decided to try the prem for one year only. spanishwhite

Agree0 Disagree0

We are talking norwich here not man city or chelsea but norwich small club small ambition they will be praying to survive leeds are far bigger so who has ambition snodders certainly doesnt, as see you on the way past as we go up

Agree0 Disagree0

A premier team wanted him?, its norwich, the only club to make a bid, so he wasnt sort after, and believe me, norwich will be coming down this season, take a look at their squad, it was a miracle they stayed up last season

Agree0 Disagree0

I understand what your saying but will he get the money? They never spent a penny when how son and gradel went.

Agree0 Disagree0

Real problem with the takeover and ambition ? Pretty woeful so far ? What have u been watching for the last few years mate ? U think we should be buying £4-5m players...ludicrous to even believe we would attract anyone of that calibre for Championship. Even if we could afford to pay £30m for Modric u think he would come ! Your living in dream land my son so wake up and get a reality check instead of posting some ridiculous comment. GET WITH THE PROGRAM INSTEAD OF KNOCKING IT

Agree0 Disagree0

Snodgrass the latest to leave do you believe norwich can mount a serious attack on the premiership with howson and a not gaurenteed a place in brad johson. we stuggeeld in league one with these players

Agree0 Disagree0

Totally agree let's face it this takeover is a load of nonsense there is and never was one just a smoke screen for softening the blow when our quality players go and we are left with the usual mire! we are going nowhere with this lot of cast off's and has beens...........trust me ken bates aint going nowhere but he certainly taking the michael out of us

Agree0 Disagree0

Disagree with both of you -these things happen, there just comes a point when it starts to seem wrong to stand in a player's way -he's 25 next birthday, and must be (understandably) bursting to prove himself in the Prem. He knows he's better at least than most in bottom half of Prem. It's a short career, and unfortunately, as with Howson, Delph and Beckford (plus Lennon and Milner before) it is just the price we eventually pay for being away from the big stage. C'est la vie. All the best Snoddy -a top player and a top man. Chapel A

Agree0 Disagree0

This has nothing to do with the new owners!!

NW has stated snodgrass has had his head turned, meaning he wants to leave!!!!!

Once a player says this what more can you do? I for one don't want a player wearing our great shirt if he doesn't want to be there

Agree0 Disagree0

You can't build a team around a player who doesn't want to be there. Keeping a player who wants to leave will only make the club suffer. Warnock can get someone in who does want to play for Leeds with the money received

Agree0 Disagree0

Sorry Harry who? Dunno who that is!

It is good that we are no longer being held to ransom by Snoddy. White down the left gives pace and stamina just needs to work on his final ball, he will improve no doubt about it! Rovers down the right gives pace, stamina and creativity just needs to work on his strength. Get the 1.5m up front and get beckford back to give us the pure firepower we were missing so badly last season.

Snodgrass was a good player for us but in too many games like Clayton went missing. I think he didn't like the look of the intense training that Warnock is putting the lads through and bottled it!

Give the captaincy to Pearce or Green these two will be important players for us this season. We are Leeds and we're proud of it!! Let's not forget this. Get behind the team and we will succeed!

Leigh

Believable8 Unbelievable5

I meant to write Rogers (not rovers)!

Agree0 Disagree0

How come when players leave us 'they wasnt really that good' but our best midfielders in clayton and snodders wer the best thing ever when with us

Agree0 Disagree0

Agreed, but would like to see white playing on the right and cutting in. Hope to see alot of positional switching by the wingers as well just to add further complications to defences.

Agree0 Disagree0

I agree. Most teams sussed Snodgrass out last year, put two men on him and he disappeared. With The £3m and the £1m return from the police we should have a handy transfer kitty. Unless Ken pockets it. JD

Agree0 Disagree0

I didn't say they weren't good players. Just not good enough for the big push we need I feel. The players we are bringing all have two big things going for them, heart and stamina. The players that have left us do nor have both of these qualities together so they really wouldn't cut the mustard so to speak when Warnock is literally going to make the squad shed blood for the cause. No less will be acceptable. We are getting power, pace and ability in abundance so we have a great season to look forward to. When Austin officially signs this will signal intent to the rest of the wannabes who think they are better than the mighty whites! We have 3 marquee signings to come so let us look forward to seeing who they are and forget the players that leave us as they will regret it in the not too distant future!

Agree0 Disagree0

Even Eddie Gray who was a great supporter of the scottish lad Snodrass had to admit on several occasions that he (Snodgrass) had apoor game. I went to all the home and many of the away fixtures and saw flashes of the good but too much of the bad. He isn't that good OR he decided he wasn't that bothered about Leeds. Clayton played well at the start of the season but poor towards the end, Even Brown looked better. Not just saying it now - raised concerns about the pair of them at various points during the season without - before anyone chips in - slagging them off.

Agree0 Disagree0

I think we will get that with Rogers and White, they both have natural pace and the ability to go past people. They also look as though they are well and truly up for this season. We will score more goals this season but more importantly we will have a defence capable of doing their job, keeping more clean sheets and conceding far less sloppy goals. Elland Road will be a fortress again this season. With a centre midfield pairing of Green and Austin I really can't see many teams bossing the midfield against these two!

Leigh

Agree0 Disagree0

He's gone get used to it...

Agree0 Disagree0

Chapel, there is no sour grapes, if you watched 30 Percent of the matches last season you would see that it is about stamina, our players were simply not fit enough. As good as snodgrass is skill wise he lacks in pace and stamina, which unfortunately for him he will be found out in the premier league........ He will wish he had stayed and seen the project through! Anyway nevermind onwards and upwards he's gone and that's the end of it......

If Snoddy has walked away from us, then I will be very upset, I had faith in him actually honouring his agreement with Warnock to see where we were at xmas.

There is a lot of speculation around and I won't believe this untill I see it on the OS.

At the end off the day I can't believe Snoddy would sell himself out to Norwich, though, he is far better than that....

I won't give him my blessing, now, as I think Leeds have now shown ambition, admittedly not in a multi million pound way, but we have pulled in a lot of players to 'go for it'

If he doesn't even have the faith in those of us who have stuck with him then, yep, he's history....

Leeds4alongtime

Believable10 Unbelievable6

I can't understand him going there though, Norwich will be relegated next year and Leeds will go up

So Snodgrass will be back at square 1

Agree0 Disagree0

I agree norwich will suffer second season syndrome without lambert in charge snody making a big mistake

Agree0 Disagree0

Warnock wanted him till xmas. He didnt commit to anything. TBH I think he's right, we havent really shown any massive ambition so far. No star attractions have been brought in, just OK to fairly good players. He wanted to see a titles contending squad. We are about 4/5 great players short of that.

Agree0 Disagree0

"TBH I think he's right, we havent really shown any massive ambition so far."

Thats a joke, I have never seen such an influx of players in all the yaers I have supported Leeds, and Warnock says there are more to come.

If Snoddy doesn't want to be a part of what is going on, thats down to him, but we have pulled in better players than Johnson and Howson, and more to come?

Down to you Snoddy, you wanted commitment, we now have comittment, if you walk away you'll just be another Beckford....

Take the money and look back and regret....

Agree0 Disagree0

Original poster here, Snodgrass still hasn't gone, I still can't believe he is going till I see it as a done job....

Agree0 Disagree0

"We are about 4/5 great players short of that"

And warnock has already said we have more to come....

... if Snoddy is that impatient, so be it?

Agree0 Disagree0

For me, he's gone... If he was with us he'd have been down in Cornwall playing.

There is better and definitely quicker than him and he'll regret cashing in now. Leeds are on the march and we will go up. Tough luck to them that jumped, they weren't good enough anyway.

Super Leeds, Stockport white.

P.s. aidy made the right choice, hope his potential turns him into the real deal and ends up on prem wages.

Agree0 Disagree0

What did you expect? messi on the oposite wing? no corse not. so the solid proven players warnock has bought. the mix of youth and experience. tying white down. and still hunting for more players isnt good enough? snodgrass is going against what he said saying he was excited for the future and wanted to be captain of leeds in the premier league. i think it is the wrong decision but we will replace him. and for the first time since league one i truly believe we are building the right team and have the right manager. MOT toofang

Agree0 Disagree0

If we are going to sell him it is better know than in jan we wont get the £3mil we want we will get half that!!!

Agree0 Disagree0

Modern footballers for you. Look at the others gone to Norwich... Howson - Leeds lad and been with us since he was a kid, Johnson we made after we bought him from northampton no one knew him until he came to Leeds. Also Beckford going to Everton we saved him from non league football and made him a big name. Snodgrass from lower level scottish football. This is always how they choose to repay us as well..

We can get better than snoddy! then we will be going up next season with norwich coming down! howson and snoddy will regret going for big money and desperate to come back!! MOT

To be honest im sad to see snoddy go, but he said he wanted to see club ambition and surely were moving forward. I know norwich are in the prem but were still a bigger team with more potential. Seems to be money motivated yet again. I wonder how he, howson and johnson will feel when we overtake them with 40,000 of us rocking ER. Hopefully the money will open the door for maynard or beckford. Plus the money from the takeover when that frikin happens. Anyway thanks for the contribution snoddy, you did ok for a slow winger. When not if, Snodgrass leaves, we're looking at anywhere between 2-3 million in our transfer kitty. I read somewhere we have only spent around 1.6 atm, and that has got us 'player of the season' Pearce, a quality goalkeeper in Kenny, and a lot of decent squad players. So what could NW do with that sort of money?
Also we have money coming from WY police apparently, that on top of a possible takeover, and everythings looking good at Leeds Utd.

Cheerio snodds. My view, an average player with no balls for the fight ahead. They'll be new heros who'll want to play for the shirt. I said weeks ago, if they want to go, let them, we finished 14th last season and personally would'nt have kept one of them.

New start boys and get behind the manager. Norwich nailed on relegation for me, be lucky to get thirty points.

Stockport white.

Believable10 Unbelievable6

Agree with you completely there! Believe noddy is overated player who has shone in a completely below average team. He blows hot and cold throughout games/season. If he wants to go to small town norwich then let him. He is not bigger than our mighty club.

I also believe NW has plans for White to play in that position, and think he will be far more exciting and creative going forward whilst also having the legs and desire to track back. Think we will find this season alot of postional switching throughout games of the wingers to confuse defences, whilst also having the option to use 2 of these as strikers!(White/Varney/Rodgers)

Agree0 Disagree0

"we finished 14th last season and personally would'nt have kept one of them."

I watched Lees play a couple of times and he is the future of our club, along with the Turners, Poleon, etc.

Believable8 Unbelievable2

£3m will be used for hotel and business projects, not on players.

Agree0 Disagree0

3m in the kitty ? its 1.5 m up front and by the time that gets deposted in the bank of bates, he charges a 90% interest fee which means added to the kitty is 150 k. the reason is it is 1.5 up front is so bates can take the rest later when the fans attention is on another sale. {Ed003's Note - and you have proof to back this statement up with? }

I hope Norwich go down next season and we pass them on the way up, good ridens

Believable13 Unbelievable5

Just remember that Snodgrass, Howson and Johnson all failed to beat Norwich to top spot in league 1. Now they ARE Norwich, but in the premiership. I think there's a good chance we'll all meet again soon, but we'll have a squad which will have won the championship. Which none of those lads did. I really like Snodgrass, but there are many effective game-changers out there. We need someone who wants to play for Warnock, and for Leeds. If Warnock eventually gets a bit of cash to spend Snodgrass's exit will be academic, and we'll have forgotten about him by the end of the season. Don't worry about Norwich; they will never be as big a club as Leeds. I feel sorry for Rob having made what is probably a bad decision. PK

Think about this ....

We all know that Portsmouth are on their way to oblivion, so what are all their passionate fans going to do?

Become Leeds supporters of course.

So by the time the season starts it looks like we will have 1/2 their team playing for us (Ashdown, Varney, Norris, Halford).

This is an Uncle Ken Master Stroke, and proves why he is is not that upset to buy Portmouth Players as he knows he will sell more LUTV subscriptions and merchandise .

Really clever Ken. Well done.

Wag {Ed020's Note - haha put a smile on my face did this one}

Believable7 Unbelievable1

And Pearce!

Agree0 Disagree0

You forgot Pearce and Brown they both played for Portsmouth too. Didn't Portsmouth get relegated last year? {Ed020's Note - its a team effort, just just 1-2 plaayers!!}

Agree0 Disagree0

Look, it really makes sense. Ken pays about 1 or 1.5M for a few players and gets more than 15,000 fans transferred as well. Excellent cunning plan.

Maybe Leeds will produce a special limited edition Shirt (special Portsmouth badge or some extra Blue... no wait, he has already done it... look at our away kit)

Wag

Agree0 Disagree0

From original Poster.

Oh yeah, how could I forget about Pearce and Brown.

Well I think this really does justify my tongue in check hypothesis, I could be on to a brilliant Ken master-stroke here. We will probably end up with over 1/2 the Portsmouth team and given their average attendance was just over 15,000 expect a surge in LUTV subscriptions and hits on this site.

All bow before the mighty Ken, I am really beginning to think there is actually something in this ;)

Aload of free or cheap buys & get rid of our 2 best players! Very worrying! We need this take over to happen as soon as possible, get some quality in, so the team can gel in time 4 start of the season otherwise it's a season of avoiding relegation rather than pushing 4 promotion! Gutted Snodgrass has gone & to Norwich who're likely to get relegated next season or season afterwards! Nevermind Snodders U sound like U were only here 4 the money, we want players wanting to player for LEEDS UNITED! Thanks 4 the good performances but nobody's bigger than the team! Having had faith in Snoddy realising that we are now on the verge of a serious change in direction, if he is leaving then I am unhappy with the guy, he said he needed Leeds to show ambition and over the last couple of weeks we have done exactly that, we now have a team that will give anybody a serious game.

Sorry Snody but I thought you were Leeds, but obviously not?

Not sorry to see you go now, you obviously aren't Leeds, and we mean nothing to you, bye.....

Snodgrass gets his hair cut at the same side street barbers as me in Chapel Allerton. Its the same Barbers where Crowe used to get his hair cut too. The chap who cuts his hair said to me on asking about him, that Snodgrass had said he'd recieved a drunken phonecall at stupid o'clock at night, from an over merry uncle Ken which was along the lines of "So, when are you going to sign this f*****g contract then?".

I'm not surprised he's leaving to be honest. I would have told Bates to swing his hook then and there.

I agree it is not a good move for snoddy , as norwich will be clingin g on to premiership foortball by their fingertips. Alos , if being Leeds captain is n ot an honour for him ..... LEAVE ! nobody is irreplacable , I like him but he lacks a yard or tow of pace & we ned to look in that area

SNODDY FEE AGREED-Scot on the way out in all probability-

Media understands Leeds United winger Robert Snodgrass is on his way to Carrow Road to hold talks regarding a move to Norwich City.

Snodgrass has been a long-term target for the Canaries and he has already been the subject of two failed bids from the Premier League club this summer.

The second of those was rejected by Leeds last week, but it is understood that the two clubs have now agreed a fee for the Scotland international.

The 24-year-old only has 12 months remaining on his present deal at Elland Road and has been offered a new contract which would make him Leeds' highest-paid player. Neil Warnock outlined his determination to keep Snodgrass last week, but the player is now closing in on a move to the Premier League.

Source SSN:

Sad times. Doesn't say a lot for the prospective takeover if the plans/ funds in place cant even persuade Snodgrass to stay until Christmas!!! Simply CANNOT agree any new deals to keep our best players. Awful. At least NW will ( hopefully) get some funds to use wisely.

Believable8 Unbelievable4

Believe it when it's on the OS otherwise it is just further speculation.....

Agree0 Disagree0

Perhaps it has nowt to do with leeds but with snodgrass not showing loyalty and wanting to move on - you can offer a player the world but if he wants to go - let him go , hes good but hes not better or bigger than the club - as long as warnock gets a suitable replacement so what - snodgrass has made his choice lets get the cash and move on

Agree0 Disagree0

Makes you wonder if this takeover is still on - and if it is, what are the ambitions/intentions of the new owners/people involved??
why sell one of your best players(yes, i know some of you will disagree, but he was one of our better players, even when he was sulking) i think a lot of leeds fans will want to know, why?? and the ambitions/intentions of the supposedly new owners?? if any??
selling the club captain, again!! looks like bates is still in charge.
yes, i know there may be better players out there, but its only 3 weeks till the start of the season. surely we could have hung onto snodders until xmas and then see where we were, and then offer him a better contract(based on the new owners) or sold him depending on where we were in the league!

Agree0 Disagree0

Thats a shame, however just depends on who we have lined up to come in?

Norwich will be coming down next season as we are going up!

Agree0 Disagree0

Totally agree about the 'sad times'.
I'm gutted to be losing Snodgrass, you get all kinds of person on here (usually the ones that thought that Gradel was some kind of Pele - NEWSFLASH: He wasn't!)... saying that Snoddy's nothing special but I honestly think he's the best player we've had since we were relegated from the P.L. We'll miss him badly. Sends out a rubbish message that we are not that ambitious, takeover or not. We can't offer P.L football at the minute, the 'Budgies' can (at the minute)...poor & temporary move upwards from Snodgrass's point of view as Norwich wont be above us forever. Personally, I'd have kept him for the last year of his contract and run the risk of losing him for nowt, if we stay down -fair play, he leaves. If he helped to take us up, the chances are he'd want to stay. I'll sit back now and wait for all the abuse about 'being negative' and being all 'doom & gloom' with the impending takeover just around the corner, truth is though from where I'm standing not a lot has changed. Same old Leeds. Gutted.

Agree0 Disagree0

Fed up, with these so called loyal players.blast two captains leave to join a smaller club are all these players that dumb we are a massive club with the best supporters in the world hope this is the season we can get up and Norwich come down so we can laugh at them all on the way down............kevlufc

Agree0 Disagree0

We need to let him go if he doesn't want to play for the mighty Leeds !
He'll be back in the championship next year wishing he hadn't left as we will be in the PL !! M U G

Agree0 Disagree0

If he goes, he goes. They must have offered an amount that made it worthwhile for them to have accepted it. At least it'll be sorted one way or another, and we can get on with preparing for the new season.

It'll mean money to help bring in some decent targets too...

Agree0 Disagree0

One year on his contract, good bit of business. Could fund at least 2 good players.

Agree0 Disagree0

I would rather him go know than in jan but sad to see him go

Agree0 Disagree0

The only funds appear to be coming from the sale of our best players. It will be interesting to see if the £2-£3m we get for Snodgrass will go back into the team. Will McCormack be sold next!

Agree0 Disagree0

This is the same news that came out before White agreed a contract extension. Why do Leeds fans jump on a media band wagon? Until anything is agreed and signed people should remain calm, whats the point in getting worked up when this is a jorno's storry, is it concrete no, has snoddy now left leeds? no. Would it be that bad if he did leave us, for the money that Sky are talking about? No, not for a player that goes missing for much of the season and has fitness problems to say the least.

Agree0 Disagree0

Let him go. Move on. Trying not to sound arrogant but he'll never play for a club as big or with as passionate fans as Leeds. His loss, thanks for the cash Delia.

Agree0 Disagree0

We offered him to become highest paid player at the club. So if he don't sign and wants premiership football with a second rate club so be it.

Look at where beckford is now championship and 3m is good business when you consider he is 12 months away from leaving for free and gives warnock even more money than supposedly we had to buy the other players needed after the eight we just signed. Nothing anyone can do as he want premiership football. The question is how long Norwich will stay there for in my opinion they will be in the championship next season

Agree0 Disagree0

Embarrassed to think Norwich will have Johnson, Howson and Snodgrass midfield. What are we doing??

Agree0 Disagree0

If he doesn't want to stay then of course we should sell him. Any player not prepared to commit his future to the club when made captain and offered to be top earner clearly wants to leave.

Sell him and move on.

Agree0 Disagree0

Oh don't get all misty eyed about this. It has little to do with bribing a player to stay. If he wants to play Prem football rather than work for promotion in the Championship, then throwing money at him to make him change his mind is just bad business. You end up with an overpaid demotivated passenger rather than a hungry footballer. If he wants to move, £2.5M for a one year contract is great and allows the squad to get soemone motivated in to fill the vacancy.

Agree0 Disagree0

Nothing to do with contract hes shown his true colours lets hope norwich come down this year

Agree0 Disagree0

Let him go, he's overrated and £3/4 million would work wonders for Colin's promotion push, could free up some cash for Bothroyd or Dj Campbell

Agree0 Disagree0

I Do wish the powers to be at ER would put us all out of our misery and confirm the take over deal is dead,if it ever existed in the first place, still having to sell our best players to finance our own deals says a lot doesn't it?

Agree0 Disagree0

For goodness sake lighten up! Losing Snodgrass is far from the end of the world. In fact we'll end up better off because NW will bring in someone with some pace.

Agree0 Disagree0

What a load of crap! It says in Ssn that no new
Bid had been made. Get over it Norwich fans

Sy BsE Leeds

Agree0 Disagree0

For christ sake he"s a player who is easy to replace,he didn"t have any intention to sign a new contract,it"s about time we had a clear out.Snodgrass wasn"t the same player in the later part off last season could be the best thing for both parties.

Agree0 Disagree0

I agree with the last poster we are selling our best players and replacing them with Portsmouth's castoffs. McCormack will be leaving next

Agree0 Disagree0

On OS now that Snoddy has done one up to "premier league club" for talks. Gutted to see the guy go but as said in previous post, no player is bigger than the club! I honestly don't think Warnock could have done any more to keep him. He offered him best contract at the club, made him club captain and wanted to build team around him. Bottom line if a player wants to go, nothing can be done. Not sure how Norwich are going to do with pretty much our League one midfield in the Premiership! Trust Warnock to bring a suitable replacement.

Agree0 Disagree0

Snodgrass is Scottish , not exactly world class ! he is an average midfielder he didnt even make the Championship top 11 last season . lets not forget we finished 14th. who cares, move on there will be others and this wont be the last time we sell an average player.

Agree0 Disagree0

NW wants him to stay and so do we. The reality is that HE WANTS THE MOVE and nothing we can do collectively will change that. Lets cash in and move on guys. He's just another player who has a time expiry date attached..stop getting so sentimental and delusional

Agree0 Disagree0

Cant say im too fussed, if he does not want to play for leeds sell him now and get as much as we can for him. Im sure There are some decent players out there who could fill his boots and would love to play for the club. I think in the long run Snodgrass and a couple of others will regret jumping ship, i wouldnt say Norwich are a safe bet to be a permanent premier league team. Onwards and upwards We are Leeds.

Agree0 Disagree0

Snodgrass is selfish, lazy, predictable, slow, hes far from prem class soo let him go n watch him fail just like howson n johnson. no 1 is bigger than leeds.

Agree0 Disagree0

Read the OS warnock says we are in due diligence and we have done everything to keep him. Warnock also said he want three quality signings before we agreed to sell Snodgrass so where is the money coming from ?

Warnock also says it's a bad move for him and his head has been turned let him go let's see where he is playing next year, a bit like beckford.

Agree0 Disagree0

We offered him the best deal at the club £10,000 a week does not sound like viduka kewell and smith's wages does it.

Agree0 Disagree0

He obviously doesn't think that Leeds can give him premiership football. He has ambitions and the club cannot match them. That's all there is to it

Agree0 Disagree0

Players come and go and the club will always survive, Snodgrass is decent on his day but his days are few and far between, he certainly isn't the sort of player to score 30 goals and get us promoted. Be happy if someone like Maynard is brought in to freshen us up, up top. I'd let McCormack go aswell, mercenaries always looking for the better pay day, Leeds will go from strength to strength under Colin and far surpass the Norwich's of this world on the coming years.

Hi, as much as I do not like to see better players leaving, I say good luck Robert, and thank you for your efforts in the Leeds shirt.
I do not for one minute think it has anything to do with not wanting to play for Leeds, he maybe feels he can have better future security with Norwich.
Footballers are in the position where they have to think of themselves first and foremost. If that makes them selfish, then so be it. Any one or all of them are only one bad tackle away from doing co-commentary on Sky Sports for the rest of their lives.
On a personal note, two things, I think this will be a leap too far for him, a big bump awaits, but it will be a well paid bump, and, Norwich will have the Leeds Div one midfield, which some say shows how brilliant it was, but then others say they will be relegated, which is it?

just on sky sports snodgrass is on his way to norwich to talk terms after fee agreed!!!! o.w

Believable7 Unbelievable3

Bye bye Snoddy. Anything below 4m I'll be disappointed.

Agree0 Disagree0

Well if it's on Sky it MUST be true....lol!!

Believe it when it's on the OS otherwise it is just further speculation.....

Agree0 Disagree0

No he isn't not yet any way!

Agree0 Disagree0

Tragic. we wont be able to replace snodgrass, regardless of funds available. premier lig player playing in the championship was snodgrass. i expect snodgrass will agree terms and hook up with his pals howson and bradley. good luck to him. MOT!

Agree0 Disagree0

You know what's the worst. The fact that Norwich keep poaching our players on the cheap. I'd rather Snoddy go anywhere but there :(

Agree0 Disagree0

£2.5mil-£3.5mil i think...

But will cost Norwich a lot more because they need to pay the signing fee, agent fee and on top of the price so it will be around £4mil.

Believable8 Unbelievable9

He`ll want to be near his brother i think.

Agree0 Disagree0

No they don't he's in their U-21s set up...

Agree0 Disagree0

To be fair, this kid would be an amazing signing if we could get him for the season. Really can't see it happening, but it would be class if we could get him.

Agree0 Disagree0

What is his wage ??

Agree0 Disagree0

That would be fantastic!!

Agree0 Disagree0

He was playing in french second division. Bet hes nowhere near as good as his brother

Agree0 Disagree0

Latest rumour on twitter however its not the strongest and I've only seen it a couple of times is that snodgrass is set to hold talks with warnock on Monday, personally I believe he'll be out the door as Southampton have joined the hunt for him but we can still do it without although should he stay he'll be able to make a REAL name for himself
LouisLeeds

Believable4 Unbelievable6

I have a good feeling about snodgrass i think he will stay and sign a short contract if neil is bringing in quality he said he would stay and with the players he has bought so fare are very good player in my few

raheem stirling will arrive on a season long loan

Believable3 Unbelievable11

Would be a great one to bring in if it were true as I think this kid has a big future, but not sure if I see it happening. He is very young but was good enough to make some sub appearances at the end of last year, 6 month loan sounds more feasible.

Agree0 Disagree0

We will not sign many loans, esppecially this early mate

Agree0 Disagree0

Looks like he's going to QPR, says on sky sports.

New owners meeting playing/backroom staff tonight/tomorrow morning. Before official unveiling at press conference on Wednesday/thursday. They've authorised the bids (Austin/Peltier and others) as they will be full owners by the time the transfers are finalised.

There is no takeover. Surely people have worked this out by now?

Agree0 Disagree0

There is no take-over?
Are you living in a cave or just oblivious to the world? NW has already stated that we ARE being taken over, the hints are everywhere!
RyanMOT

Agree0 Disagree0

If there is no takeover, then who is funding all this transfer activity? because it sure isnt KB.

He hasnt done any media spots for months, and dont you think that if he was spending some money we wouldnt here the end of it, he cant keep out of the media for 5 mins usually!

Agree0 Disagree0

"There is no takeover. Surely people have worked this out by now?"

No, of course there isn't and cuddly Ken is buying all these new players out of his own back pocket......

Agree0 Disagree0

We had a bit of money to spend this season.
(WITH THE £3MIL PROFIT LAST SEASON)

that is how we got these players and we got pompy players on the cheap anyway.

DJM

Agree0 Disagree0

If there isant a take over i think uncle ken would of put the fire out months ago what is the point in keeping the rumours alive yep no point what so ever i think you would agree.
