Hearing Viviani deal back on apparently his agent saying it

Believable50 Unbelievable41

Some good news after todays rubbish :)

Agree2 Disagree0

Perhaps MC being cool again - viviani to accept his terms or do one.

Shrewd move if it works

If this is true it will go down as a masterclass of negotiating by Massimo.

Agree3 Disagree0

Agree scoops
Don't believe this will happen, but if it does I think it will be significant - both because I think he may be a real quality addition, and also showing MC's determination

Agree2 Disagree0

Stuff him - He's clearly playing the field and far from committed to playing for Leeds (although I can't blame him looking at the last two performances and general squad quality).

Agree0 Disagree1

Don't think we are good enough to have pride and all this they should want to play for us. if man u bend over backwards twice to please rooney would feel better if we bended to get a player like viviani who is class above what we have at the moment. we need to imporve the team fielded today will struggle to stay up at least five players not good enough if we have moeny spend it, I would rarther mercenaries playing for cash than poor quality playing for the badge then once up we can be bit mor picky

Bermondsey
Although I agree we need quality players and sooner the better, I don't think bending over backwards to ANY player is the answer.
You pay 1 guy big money the rest get jealous, which causes friction in the team etc etc
Not easy running a football club ;)

Agree2 Disagree1

Agree andy not any player but by the looks and sounds this guy was cut above what we have. at the moment we look set to go down good players is all that will save us so something has to give I like MC and agree with a lot of what he says but on paper we have worst manager in the leaugue so we need better players and I don't care how he gets them again if its good enough for man united is it not good enough for us? five good players or we are in serious trouble and no hock is goning to save us

Look like his agentis now saying deal is back on. Lots of reports on web

Agree2 Disagree0

Yes the deal is dead and so we will be if mc does not buy at least 3 good players not free that nobody wants we need a striker a centre half and good midfielder or it will be more like bottom 6 not top 6 he must see we need these players and leave it two late

Agree1 Disagree0

He's going to run out of plans soon. MC sometimes fires from the hip. get him in if he wants to come

Leeds United: Hock’s A Deluded, Clueless, Out Of His Depth Disaster

Sheriff Massimo’s back in town this week, first job: fire deputy dog, then buy the defenders, playmaker, pace and strikers we need to survive in the dog eat dog world of the Championship.

Right now we have too many mongrels in the pack and need to add some pedigree.

Listen to me Massimo, we need two centrebacks, some serious pace, a talented playmaker and a prolific striker, minimum – now, my friend – and a new coach.

It is well document that I support Cellino but Hock and Junior are a disaster, deluded, out of their depth, clueless never-will-be’s. The decision to appoint them is baffling, can only be explained if Cellino’s advisers included Ray Charles, Stevie Wonder and Paul the octopus.

Hock pledged to play his strongest side against Chesterfield in a friendly yesterday and picked Morison, a centre forward who hasn’t performed since he left Millwall years ago as a left winger and sat two of our most technically accomplished players, Bianchi & Berardi on the bench.prob the best most honest report I've read so can't take the credit for writing it.

Phil Hay Had a very brief response from Cellino who says Viviani deal is off. Won't be joining Leeds. #lufc. Looks like move on to the next target but Cellino needs to show some action or we'll struggle with what we have. Their not good enough, end of

Believable55 Unbelievable8

What a waste of 9 days that was.

Very disappointed that we have lost out on Viviani, but hey ho, if he doesn't want to come, then so be it. I've just registered so I can have my say on Cellino, The Hock etc before todays game. Whatever happens in the next few weeks, I believe in MC we finally have someone who cares about the club. OK, he's a colourful character who sometimes speaks before thinking, but don't us yorkshiremen like blunt talking? Well the blunt facts about him, Ross, the Hock are that Ross would have gone in January (for 2/3 million)without the intervention of MC (just see the Ross interview in the last few hours of the transfer window - basically a 'come and get me' plea -we would have been relegated if he had gone, so we have MC to thank for that. I have every confidence that MC will do his best, or what he thinks is the best for us. In many ways, the Hock is an irrelevance (agreed a bizarre one), because he will be soon gone if the team don't perform - though I do agree his presence probably does not help in attracting decent players. Anyway, despite all this, I think we have more reason to be optimistic than for many a long day - it seems a long time since 57, 892 of us were crammed in in 1967 for the FA cup replay!

Agree2 Disagree0

{Ed013's Note - If he wasn't fully committed or taking the club for a ride then its the best thing for all that he has gone}

yet another deal off eight players turned leeds down this week why is it mc or the fact a nobody coach who would sign he's not a big name in fact he's not even a small name he's a nobody yes we all want to see top of league winning ever game but why is nobody signing no name coach

Agree2 Disagree3

If he doesn't believe in LUFC or is in two minds about joining we don't need him and gg to MC for having a pair, to stand up to mercenaries who make demands thinking they are bigger than the club. Far too long have we knelt down in front of so called stars just for them not to preform but still collected their wage.

Viviani could well have been a top championship midfielder but no body is bigger than the club

For me we need 4 more 'quality players' to get us by, but I just can't see us getting them before the start of the season! Most concerning is the fact we aren't even been linked never mind making a bid for a Ross McCormack replacement!

Agree3 Disagree0

Another false dawn, but if I was an Italian U21 midfielder after watching Hockaday in charge at Mansfield I wouldn't want to join either

Agree3 Disagree0

I believe if we had a decent head coach in charge, when I say decent I mean a "name" someone recognisable to player and fans alike as a reason to be optimistic for future, I don't care whether he be Italian English or whatever nationality, I honestly believe we'd attract better quality players to Leeds. If MC wants the prem in two years he needs to start showing intent now, decent coaches and decent squad to get us up

Agree2 Disagree0

I agree Thommo, think this is M C, s biggest mistake .
Is it me or in the photo of D H looking around the goalpost on sky why am I thinking of lord of the rings my precious.

Agree1 Disagree0

Who are the 8 who have turned us down?

ssn are saying that we have offered Nathan Delfouneso a contract he was training at Blackpool but due to the state of the club's position with barely a squad on the books he is opting for leeds as his first choice

Believable23 Unbelievable18

Not good enough! If that's the quality that LUFC are happy to settle for, we are in for a long season of struggle and frustration. MC needs to wake up and realise that if you pay peanuts you usually get monkeys!

Thought we were getting rid of "deadwood" not bringing it in - his record as a striker is worse than Paynter
