The reason there has been such a hold up with the takeover is that Gfh want to buy the club but pay the fee over a number of years where as ken bates wants all money upfront as what happened when he sold Chelsea. Unfortunatley Gfh don't have cash on the hip like abramovich and they have to get an agreement off every major share holder that an investment in the mighty Leeds would offer a good return on there investment. 1 or 2 loan players to come in until jan when we've got at least 1 marquee signing on a verbal contract just waiting on take over to convince him to put pen to paper, source- man with suit and official club tie on the 15.52 train from Sheffield.

He just blows the whistle and waves the flag at the station my friend

Agree0 Disagree0

Another person looking for a negative in this takeover, please stop moaning about it, you do not know what is happening, please just be happy that we are on the verge of the takeover.

Agree0 Disagree0

I wear a suit. I own an official LUFC club tie. I was in Sheffield today.

Doesn't mean I know Jack about the takeover though.

Agree0 Disagree0

Ummm, I caught this train and saw no man with a suit and lufc tie on. I also walked all way down the train cos it were full...

Agree0 Disagree0

How big is the marquee? Who will we sign? Chapel A

Agree0 Disagree0

An official club tie?
Wow, must be true.
Those bad boys are hard to find.

Agree0 Disagree0

I was in Sheffield yesterday and I can confirm that I did NOT see one man in a suit! Maybe you could have been talking to James bond, he wears a suit?

Agree0 Disagree0

Yep I'm sure that's how all big clubs do the business on a train for everyone to see. Also must of flown in from Bahrain just to cat h that train just to let you know.

Did you manage to speak to anyone about the lottery as you seem to know do much.
Or us that nothing at all

Agree0 Disagree0

Was it Roy Hodgson you were talking to? He seems to like discussing team business with train commuters. LOL

Just wondered why there's certain exit points after the game Saturday?!

It says there will be no exiting near the banqueting suite!?

Maybe nothin or do we have some high profile visitors/business to attend to?!

LUFCLUKE

Believable4 Unbelievable17

Probably to avoid any contact with away supporters - unless thoes are the high profile visitors you mean.

Agree0 Disagree0

Its because they have planned a public flogging for luke varney in anticipation of his crap performance. and they dont want to be interupted

Agree0 Disagree0

Its a Police notice summat to do with road closures and diversions

Agree0 Disagree0

Proberly don't want to open exit points as there's no need not when you can't even fill your little ground

Agree0 Disagree0

It's solely to prevent any post-match aggro as the Birmingham fans leave, and the club is obviously keen to avoid any repetition of the Wednesday unpleasantness. Chapel A

Agree0 Disagree0

It's to avoid clashing with brum fans !!!!!

Agree1 Disagree0

Any high profile visitors will be in the East Stand. The Banqueting Suite is in the West Stand.

It will be avoid the away fans having to encounter Vile Animals on their way out.

Agree0 Disagree0

To the anonymous 4th poster...Get back to you 10000-capacity shed. We're not famous anymore, so if were are as small as you imply, why have you taken the time to seek out this page and leave a comment? Oh how great and fulfilling your life must be...

Jody

Agree1 Disagree0

It's because it's Birminghams 30th anniversary of the ZULUS gang today so there bringing 8 coaches full of there big boys up, expect a big police presence, my next door neighbour is a copper and he's on duty

Agree0 Disagree0

Fill our little ground ha ha very funny. May be a smaller ground than the top four in the Prem' League but still higher gates than most the Prem' League. Home or away when Leeds turn up, we turn up in numbers, all ways have and all ways will, what ever league we are in or how ever badly we are playing. We don't do fair weather fans in Yorkshire.
Reference the Zulu's coming, isn't it about time these over grown kids grew up! Violence on or off the pitch should not be tolerated by any team. If they come start trouble, let the police deal with it and lock these idiots up.

Just heard on that Bates has been provided with proof of finance and the takeover is on the verge. It's worry that it has taken this long to prove the finance. They might be tighter than Ken!

Believable31 Unbelievable14

Stop moaning!

Agree0 Disagree1

Trust us there can only be Leeds United that could go out and find the only skint arabs in the world to take us over... can see our new sponsors on our shirts been POUND STRECHERS!!!!..... Dave

Agree0 Disagree0

How can people not believe it when its on the BBC website and the OS?

Agree1 Disagree0

Quite obviously, GFH-C will be being backed by real wealth. The only way for Leeds to make money is promotion. there are no assets left to strip, and the group is NOT profitable, despite our recent accounts.

Think about it. Taking over the club without the intention of growing crowds and achieving promotion just doesn't make sense on any level.

Agree1 Disagree0

We cant really say anything untill January and see what kind of players we get in, hope we get bobby davison back.

Agree0 Disagree0

Watch the attendences go up when takeover done people waiting for old blaster bates to go

Agree0 Disagree0

Security will soon be searching for concealed pork scratchings instead of alcohol and weapons.
JB

Agree0 Disagree0

Surely they must have cash(not the same as man city/maktoum) but must have enough to "buy" lufc as a whole and sign the indemnity agreement, which means taking on responsibility of any financial ghosts coming out of bate's cupboard after the deal goes thru. just hope it's not out of the frying pan into the fire or venky's setup. surely david haigh will want to be involved more as a fan not a new ceo. would not be hard to beat bates in that department though using lufc as a money cow!!
come on leeds - lets hope the future is all white!!

Agree0 Disagree0

I like how a reply says skint arabs when they are paying 53 million for lufc
if you call that skint id love to see your bank balance... infact why dont you buy us

Agree1 Disagree0

Its all abit worrying if you ask me. Why has it taken so long? Do we really want foreign investment when they operate like this? I think Leeds United are heading down another rocky road. Leeds for Life.

Agree0 Disagree0

They gave us 2 mil without even owning the club!

Agree0 Disagree0

Look at Portsmouth how many times have they been taken over. The grass is always greener. This is an investment company buying us they are looking to make a profit

Agree0 Disagree0

I would just like to remind all about the last [FAN] we had as chairman. Now remembered in song by most of our opponents. There's only on PR?!
Being a fan can very much be a double edged sword.

Agree0 Disagree0

No is tighter than bates mot

Agree0 Disagree0

Supposedly the chairman to be is a loyal leeds fan. Think if he had money he'd spend it on the team. Well hopefully!

Agree0 Disagree0

"Do we really want foreign investment when they operate like this?"

How exactly have they operated? I think they are well within their rights to take their time over a potential £53M deal.

Ryan

Agree2 Disagree0

Aside from a sum of immediate cash which could come in handy come January, these are not big players, and there is no guarantee that the club will be any more stable than under Bates. As we saw in the last General Election, change is not necessarily a good thing in itself. The poster referring to Pompey has a point. We shall see...Chapel A

Agree0 Disagree0

Stop moaning for god sake . im a leeds fan but i understand that we just cant accept anything that is in front of us . its gonnahappen so just wait and see how it pans out .

Agree0 Disagree0

This is going to be a Pompey type takeover. League 2 here we come.

Agree0 Disagree0

If there's one thing Bates is good at, it's sussing out who has got money and who hasn't. He wants to sell LUFC to someone with a lot of cash, so that he can actually get it at the end of the deal. He doesn't want to risk doing a deal with pretenders. See what he did at Chelsea?

Agree0 Disagree0

BHF have made it serious by putting up 2 million and now its in the near completion stages
