just like to clear the points deduction 'rumours' up. if we went into administration this late in the season it would be a 10 point automatic deduction now & start next season on -10. MOT

Believable17 Unbelievable7

10 points deduction next season if administration. Today was cut-off for points deduction for this season.

Agree0 Disagree1

Stop talking about point deduction it ain't going to happen we will finish mid table no administration and hopefully will have a new owner before start of next season

Agree7 Disagree1

Yes, a Manchester based multi-millionaire is seriously interested in making a bid to buy Leeds United and just waiting in the wings for Cellino's appeal to run its course to its inevitable unsuccessful conclusion. (Hope its not Fergie!)

Agree2 Disagree2

Original poster is kind of correct.

The 10 point deduction and admin cut off was at 5pm today.

If we go into adminstration between now and the end of the season we will be deducted 10 points if it relegates us. If we stay up by more than 10 points the deduction would be suspended and imposed for next season so we start -10 like we did with the -15 years ago. Its because of us going into admin when we were effectively relegated years ago that the FL changed the rules.

On another note. GFH out. Haigh out. Patel out. Everyone out!

Crmd

Agree1 Disagree0

Ha it was because of us and another team lower who went into administration at half time on final game when they were losing lol

Agree0 Disagree0

The Fl rules are put in place to encourage clubs not to go into admin and to protect its member clubs from dodgey owners and do what's best for its members . our situation is proving that their rules are not fit for purpose . GFH passing the FPPT and refusing someone who can sort out one of its members problems is not what's in our best interests . the last 3 people to own our club where 1 a mystery man who must of passed the FPPT but put into admin 2 bates who was allowed to buy 73.5% after breaking the FLs own regulations 3 GFH who had no money . all I am saying is you can see the inconsistences where leeds united are concerned .

Agree0 Disagree0

Excellent point.

Agree0 Disagree0

The FL rules on FPP are the same for all clubs. There are a series of questions asked of prospective owners, there is also a requirement to show capital funding. It matters not one iota that 1, 2 or 3 does not suit your agenda, they ALL met the requirements of the FL and all were able to show he capital was in place.
So, there is no vendetta toward LUFC. LUFC have been unlucky that the "Owners" at some stage chose not to pour good money after bad. let's face it GF could have had hundreds of millions to invest, but if a cub needs funding to the tune of in excess of 7.5 million in 2 months, then why would GF just continue to pump money in.

Agree0 Disagree0

Above poster where was GFH capital funding? Bought LUFC 2012 and asked bates for a £1.5mill loan 6 months later ;)

cellino formally officially appeals on being refused permission to own Leeds. On advice of his lawyers! Source spn. Wonder on what grounds?
Bob.wakefield

Believable24 Unbelievable3

Possibly on the grounds that the FL are the most biased un-independant persons that have vested interests in his bid not succeeding?

Obviously he needs to be a rapist or a money launderer to own a football club?

Agree1 Disagree1

He will be appealing on the grounds that in Italian law if he appeals the guilty verdict he is innocent until proven guilty so the football league have no right to deny him from taking over but they could well wait until they see the outcome of Cellinos appeal in italy

Agree0 Disagree0

Must have a case IMO, why would he appeal? Said he would walk if he failed . Mot whatever

Agree1 Disagree0

Maybe because we'll be in financial crisis if he doesn't appeal and hopes they'll consider that? Only thing I can think of.

Agree1 Disagree1

On the grounds that the FL rules are not fit and proper. It's perfectly legal to own a business with a criminal record in England and the law sits above organisations rules.

Agree2 Disagree0

His lawyers done a great job with his last caase lol

Agree1 Disagree0

I'd love to be a fly on the wall when his legal advisers advised him on this one. I think there are two possibilities (a) he has appealed because he has been advised that he has very good grounds to do so or (b) he is appealing to be awkward, in case something turns up and because he is a strop and can afford to. Which of the two is it? Haven't the faintest idea .

apparently gfh are saying they don't own the club and is cellinos problem now. wtf is going on. this is going to get very messy

Believable6 Unbelievable13

I suppose its like if you sell a car to someone and then the new owner gets banned from driving, the car still belongs to them

Agree1 Disagree1

Dear ed, how can gfh say it is
cellinos responsibility when he does not own the club?is it to do with the alleged agreement that he run the club for 6 months?

Agree2 Disagree0

{Ed013's Note - Because some of the board members are tools}

they didn't say that, they just said cellino agreed to pay all expenses of the clubs for 6 months

I think the time has come for every single Leeds fan out there to lobby against the FL for their shambolic decision to destroy the most loyally supported club in the world.
We all need to march together and create as much fuss, and media attention and show the world what the FL are truly about.
REFUSE TO LOOSE!!!!!
WE ARE LEEDS!!!!!!

Agree3 Disagree1

For goodness sake, sop blaming everyone else for the mess LUFC finds itself in.
Its the fault of the current administration, and the one before, and the one before, and before that.
The FL are doing what they should do.

Agree0 Disagree4

"they didn't say that, they just said cellino agreed to pay all expenses of the clubs for 6 months"

I'd have to suggest that this was agreed on the assumption he would get the club, but judging on the way GFH have acted thus far, I think they are probably to blame.

Agree1 Disagree0

GFH are a disgrace why aren't they under investigation? If we go into Admin again it will set u back years. Do we want to end up like poor Hereford? MOT

Agree2 Disagree0

As I said before on this site the premier league exits because the FL were holding the big clubs back, its what happens when you have rival chairman on the board. I would love to know harveys personal view on this seeing he oversaw the sail to GFH and also blocked cellino .

Peltier has finally signed for Forrest!

Believable21 Unbelievable3

I am surprised he passed the fit and proper player test

Agree3 Disagree2

I like it pal m.o.t.

Agree3 Disagree0

We have enough deadwood without taking yours, and good luck hope you get out of that financial mess

Agree2 Disagree0

Well he's not good enough for Leeds so I can't see why Forest, a far better team than us, would sign him.

Agree2 Disagree0

Forrest Gump. But slower. And with less stamina.

Agree0 Disagree0

Best news I've heard all week, didn't warnock say he would play for england, bring back grayson all is forgiven.
