Luke Varney is to be loaned out to Sheffield United as well as Aiden White due to falling out with manager
I hope it's true
Still got 5/6 to go but we've made a start. Loans aren't the answer as they ll all be back with us in a few months

Agree with the last poster. Varney is a good lad, and always works his socks off. People tend to underrate him -he's an easy target. Sure, he has his limitations, but way worse players (and characters) have represented this club over the past decade. Good luck Luke. Chapel A

Varney is superb and consistent . at picking up bookings and then grinning about it
Can they take Pugh, brown and Norris and all the other rubbish that warnock has left
Why's everyone want to see the back of varney for? Think he's a decent player hard working lad. Plenty more I'd prefer to go before he does.
We could do with having a few more players with Varney's work ethic. He is not overblessed with skill I admit but he more than makes up for it in effort. He is one of the few players that is proud to put the white shirt on!

Who the f. is Harry Maguire? we are talking Leeds United here, not any old gap filler, if your as old and wise as me (going back to the 70s) not many, sorry ANY of our current deadwood team would wear the LEEDS UNITED shirt they wouln't even qualify to clean the boots, So SORRY Harsh but FAIR, gone are the days when we thought Duncan McKenzie was a risky signing? I at 47 can go back as far as you mate . You almost feel cheated but it is not our divine right to be great over a long period of time . Bad decisions and bad management at every level has been our downfall . I still however cannot understand why our current owners were allowed to buy us out. Is this the best we could muster up? We are a one club City with phenomenal support ( when we are winning ) Could we not attract anybody better? Unfortunately success depends on investment at the top level. In the 70's our board backed the manager . These boys want to flip the club using other people's money and it is not happening. So in a nut shell we are chasing players that cannot get into their own championship teams. If this is a two year plan, it must be some year next season.

Were not in the 70s now, take it u not heard of harry Maguire he's a young centre back, and can score goals, he will be agood signing, always in their first team, will be a top player, so stick ya ffs and who the f, I take it you only look at top sides for players, I watch top footy all the way down to the grass roots, watch harry become a top player or will be in 1 of the top teams, he will be potentially a top player, youll see

Got to laugh at yous still living in the past. Who cares what anyone else thinks of us. It's a different game now and we won't be buying the sort of players you all expect. Just got to deal with it

Aidy white gone to sheff utd now and varney has played for the dev squad tonight at Barnsley and got a goal. Don't think he has fallen out with Brian mc. But just not 100% fit. He looked a bit slow tonight.
Instead of moaning about the past why not just get yourselfs to the ground buy a ticket and support the team no more excuses £20 a ticket for adults is a bargain
And are fans say where the best in the country we can barely fill elland road get a grip and support the team forget listening on the radio nothing beats being there you all know who you are.
Why can't people realise we are just an average-ish team now we ain't champions anymore and have many rungs to climb if we ever get there again. That being said I like it in the championship, you get to watch good players before they lose their heads after getting snapped up by big teams and the football is good fast paced and competitive. I for one would hate to be getting whooped every other week by the big 5 or even big 10 in the prem as unless you have billions and billions to spend you might get close to the top a few times but u ain't staying there. Its probably a statistical impossibility to become prem champs from where we are now what with the money and financial fair play. HOWEVER THAT BEING SAID ITS ALL ABOOT THE FOOTBALL CHAPS SO let's JUST WATCH THE LEEDS AND ENJOY OURSELVES EACH WEEK MOT

Varney is simply average. Sign of the times when Warnock brought him in. Never going to succeed at LUFC. Its not about being a good lad or working hard, it's about having technical quality and a mentality that can handle playing at a club like ours.
