Its old news now but looks like Kaspars Gorkss is a target. As people have said he's big, strong and commanding. At 31 he adds a bit of experience at the back. People seem to forget another strength of his, he's a threat from corners. He got a few goals from set pieces for Reading last year.

I haven't read or seen anything about Paddy McCourt yet but if he was to join he'd be a good signing I think. He's a quick and tricky winger! He won't do much defending but is great with the ball at his feet.

Warnock would want to get a striker in though if he's going to sell Lucianno. With only Ross and Somma we need some back up, think Dom Poleon needs more time.

I wanted Gorkss in the summer, I like him big and strong, also he can play left back which seems to be our weak link ant the moment. NW got it right with the back for last two games with pace essential at the back, but we will come up againt strikers that beat us in the air, not to mentian set peices he would be great to have in those situation esspecially as its likly becchio is leaving. that's something know one has mentioned here, say what you like about his ability but he has won countless headers in our own box, I'm sure NW will have that in the back of his mind.

Paddy McCourt is a fantastic player and is wasted not being played at Celtic, seen him at internationals andon the ball he is very very good, keeps the ball very close to his feet at all times and is hard to disposess

What about Diouf you person were not short of strikers at all ross and el hadji is one heck of a partnership. if becchio wants to leave let him no one is bigger then leeds united MOT

leeds in for naki wells, highly doubt bthis will happen, why would you leave when you can go to wembley?in terms of signing a new striker I don't see why we don't look lower down the leagues like other teams have look at le fondre and rhodes.Matt smith for example

Le fondre came from Rotherham initially.

He has had 1 good game - against a Liverpool team playing like strangers. Oldham have hardly played great lately.

Rhodes moved from town to hudders. He was hardly in a lower division.

I agree, he might be a decent player but not the quality we need. He has a couple of good games on the tv and people think he is the answer to all our prayers.
Might be a good investment for the future but he isn't going to fire us into the premier league.

Why can't Smith fire us to the premiership he certainly tamed the Liverpool defence.I don, t go a lot that he has only scored 2 goals he was magnificent on Sunday cost 100k and 2k a week wages hardly braking the bank

A paper has reported this morning that Habibou's on trial at West Ham and played a friendly against Brentford...

Guess that persontter account's a fake.

I assume you live about a month behind everyone else as this was in the papers at the beginning of December. Haha

If Barkley signs on loan untill the end Of the season and we get gorkkes, CMS/Habibou. Il be happy to push on :)

heard on radio about half hour ago that leeds united have had a £3 million offer accepted for CMS from brighton .

Which station was that wasnt yorkshire radio or radio leeds

That would be a complete rip of cms is not worth that

Get it right mate.... The rumour was from some person who setup a Fake s.s.n. twitter account.... Everyone jumped on the bandwagon.

CMS is a much better player than Becchio, he has speed and is good in the air, and he scores goals, he's everything we need

Habib Habibou to sign today but he is not Becchio's replacement.

Becchio expected to jet off to Turkey tomorrow.

Craig Mackail Smith will be replacing Becchio for a fee of around 2 million.

Finally Paddy McCourt will sign on deadline day for a fee of around 750k

Not sure about McCourt but I agree with the other two

I think these would be 2 very good signings, From what I have seen of HH on you tube he is an arial threat but with pace and being tricky he tends to drift wide and can put in a good ball, similar to RMc, but with a player like CMS in the middle he could be the player to get on the end of it.

If habibou signs then he will definitely be the replacement, he's a regular player at his current team so aren't going to sign to sit on the bench! cms is useless why so many want him is shocking, mccourt is poor in the scottish poor league why would we want him lol

Surely M-smith is very similar to Ross better qith Matt Smith

Just been on tv warnock interested in Naki Wells. and
He sees him as a potential replacement for Becchio.

He's nothing like Becchio, chalk and cheese spring to mind.

Not fit to shine Beccios boots.The lads unproved at this level.

I really hope we don't sign this Wells chap, from what I've seen of him he looks lightweight, weak, he'll get bullied at Championship level, how come there's only us interested in him if he's that good?

He cannot possibly be a straight replacement. They have so diffrent qualitys......

Looks like a great source however I think that we should be looking to franco di santo as a possible replacement as he is out of favour at wigan

Have you guys watched him play at this season?
I would love to give the guy a shot here, it would at least stop us playing hoof it up the pitch football.

If we do sign him I would think he's more likely to play out wide rather than through the middle.

We may also sign him and loan him back til end of season as I can't see him wanting to miss out on the trip to Wembley
