Rumour has it that Uncle Ken has accepted an undisclosed bid from Reading for Snodgrass, any truth.

No way will anyone get away with an 'undisclosed' bid for Snodgrass....

So you read a made up rumour on the main rumours page - Reading can't afford Snodgrass and Ken won't sell to a Championship club

Unfortunately they probably will! if not Reading it will be someone else and is it not always undisclosed?

Seems like reading are signing everyone, it's a shame they don't have any money. The takeover has not happened

It's only 'undisclosed' if NOBODY discloses it, we all know how much Howson went for, for example....

I posted on Wednesday that the Leeds club shop have been told to ensure that a number 6 is in stock on Tuesday. Ryan Bertrand from Chelsea is signing for the rest of the season.

Why would we need another left back, it's a centre back we need plus defensive midfielder. But ay ho i'll believe when we see i suppose but i don't expect much.

The first sentence is believable and good news suggesting a CB is likely.
Dunno why that suggests it Bertrand though.

Can he play CH? we won't need a left back until Aidy White walks away in the summer.

Sure. He's merely the 1st choice back-up for Cole at Chelsea.

Leeds to sign matt tubbs (Crawley)

This was rumoured in the summer and came to nothing. Now he is scoring goals he will command a bigger fee and know where that leaves us. {Ed020's Note - its been rumours for over a year now}

I reckon we could get him for 500k-750k...worth a shot

Be interesting to see how smithy gets on at mk dons.how can it be about money like some posts say on here.he's getting the same as he would get staying put or going somewhere else on loan.only in the summer when he's a free agent can he be accused of going somewhere just for the money.I'm slightly disappointed as be worth a gamble to us for a very small part of his wages.it's not so much he's going there but it's disillusioning when you see teams like mk dons,Sheffield weds,Swindon,Ipswich etc at least having a go by trying to make decent signings.now if on Monday I see people like Danny rose,Matthew upson,beck ford,lichaj,matty Phillips,spearing,and Coates the cb from Liverpool then maybe I can dream of going up.mmmm what's the chances of even one of them.? Not sure where Danny rose would play but i agree with what your saying,even jonjo shelvey would be a decent loan signing,not getting a sniff now gerrard is back,he did a decent job for Blacpool

I agree with the bloke about getting behind the players and club, but come on lets be serious now! Bates is clearly ambitious and wants what we all want, and to be fair to him he has done a great job in stablising us, but we are a selling club at the minute!
The majority of the players we have are not going to get us into the premier league when you look at the squads of the other clubs at the top!
We need to build a solid, reliable and experienced spine to the team, which we can't possiblly have with what we have already! I mean we don't have a wise old head in the centre midfield! Look at our three greatest teams. They had Bremner, Batty and finally Batty and Dacourt! That is somewhere we need to strengthen and spend on! We score enough but we need to sort out the defence. So use the money we have from Howson to get someone for instance like Bowyer.
I think what is frustrating the leeds fans most ins't the lack of transfers at the moment, it is the apparent lack of ambition in who we are going for!
Why not take a punt on upson, smith or even Tevez, even if we offer them a bag of peanuts and a copy of FHM a week at least the fans would begin to belive again!

Smith to MK dons Is just a ploy by his agent to make it known he's available at a knock down price. If he was going they wouldn't have made it known before he signed. There are plenty of other teams in the championship,apart from leeds,who would take him at that price.

Well BBC Sport and a few scandal rags are reporting it will be done by tomorrow so I think time is running out for someone to hijack the deal, I can't believe someone like West Ham, who can genuinely afford a larger wage share, haven't gone in for him, or Birmingham

Alan Smith deal is now done....

Also dont count on Bowyer coming to Leeds.... He told a good friend of mine who works for LUFC that he wants to be as close to London and his family as possible. Dont see him coming up here.

Yet another dig at the general feelings in and around Elland Road:

A source close to the player told : “Alan wants to be playing again with a club which is ambitious. It doesn’t matter if it is in League One if the team has the ability to get promotion.”

Personally, I think Smith would have been great for Leeds.

I think he will be back in summer when we can see he is fully fit and worth a chance

Smith isn't a done deal, I am Leeds4alongtime and live in MK, nobody here knows anything about the Smith deal, even though on their website they are calling us 'deluded' fans who have lost the chance to get Smith back.

Deluded maybe, but at leastr we have our own team, and out team has some history, and have won first and second and third division promotions, an FA cup, a League Cup, the Fairs cup and qualified for Europe on many occassions....

I think MK Dons may have been promoted somewhere in their breif history, sold all their best players and have a nice ground.

Eat your heart out Mr Winkleman and Co. we may not be famous anymore, but you never have been, nor are you likely to be untill you find some real sponsers who are happy to finance someone else's team....

Just goes to show the ambition of th club these days if they cant even get back a leeds player through & through then cant even compete with a league one side then i think its time we should all give up any hope of them challenging for anything..all season defensive issues lets sign more midfielders that arent up for it.. leeds are becoming a feeder club not a club that can entice back its former greats.. had the chance to get Woodgate , Bowyer & now Smith biggest pathetic joke of a football club & it is a damn shame to say that this is your team.. cmon if MK dons have more to offer than us i think leeds are as good a blue square premier team.. its all over

We can only have 5 loan players in the squad at a time who are we gonna drop to play these three?

We need DCM (as always) and 2 good CH, we only have 2 that are fit at the moment and one of them does not belong to us. Kis, inj, Bromby, inj?, Bruce on his way, O'B on his way. Why has someone not been brought in already? this is a ridiculous situation to be in with 2 days to go. I would be more than happy to see Monty promoted to 1st team but that is not going to happen this season. I don't know what went wrong with Bruce but he should be a regular. Serious re-think needed in management and coaching structure.
