Heard allegedly that mcgoldrick having medical tomorrow, 2.1 mil move from Ipswich. The money is coming from the sale of McCormack for 7.4 mil to Sunderland with conorwhickam comin are way after being recalled by Sunderland. MOT!!

Believable27 Unbelievable102

29 Jan 2014 20:14:56
that would be an ok deal

Agree2 Disagree1

If true (unlikely though) would take this all day long

Agree2 Disagree2

Cant see 7.4 for rm

Agree0 Disagree2

7.4mil and connor wickham for mcCormack that would never happen

Agree2 Disagree1

Are you for real!?
Too many people making up stories.
All your doing is giving negative vibes.
If you know nothing shut up!

Steve. L

Agree8 Disagree0

It would be a great deal, I'd love to see them both at leeds

Agree2 Disagree1

Wot a lot of tosh last night BMDwas fuming about the current situation and has no clarity on whether we can get anyone in. 2o hrs later we have a war chest and 2 strikers behave Son!
We should all be more concerned about the way the owners are treating the staff BMD and Andy Flowers! TOMA #MOT

I want a pint of what you are having. Whilst the ownership issue drags on there will be no incomings in this window. Even if we sell the money will not be used on transfers, just to repay loans or to meet operating costs.

Agree2 Disagree0

Too good to be true!

Agree1 Disagree1

Yes but it sounds good so at least not all doom and gloom good on that guy
Ps no chance of being true mind

Agree1 Disagree1

Ill have a pint of what your on, 7.4 million, come on, at least try and keep it real.

gd eve ok sniffer clarke eddie gray bite your legs hunter cherry new signings least they wore there shirt with pride played with guts much better than the crap we got ah those were the days

Agree0 Disagree1

If he was on the verge of joining lufc do you seriously think that itfc would play him against us?! and in doing so do you think he would have played so well, denying the team he would ultimately be playing for ( if rumour be true) a much needed win. Another case of Huckerbee syndrome, the belief that we will sign every player who scores against us.

Agree2 Disagree0

Why would Sunderland offer £7.4m when we already told West Ham that we would accept £5m. You are just making it up!

Agree0 Disagree1

Is that you fitzy?

Agree0 Disagree0

29 Jan 2014 19:03:05
Heard allegedly that £6 million winding up post against us today, major split in the team looking to take over with one individual been playing a very sneaky two faced tactic. Who also has private issues which are due to come out in the press shore to as alleged .Italians waiting in the background. It is about time we got together (FANS) and stood up to these *******s.

Believable22 Unbelievable37

If this was the case it would be all over the news yet nothing. More made up rubbish just to see if people panic

Agree3 Disagree0

Spot well said, wum.

Agree2 Disagree0

How are we going to stand up to them precisely? hardly anybody stood up to Bates!

Agree1 Disagree0

No winding order issued but it could happen to recover £6m funding put into club since November

Agree1 Disagree0

Whether this is true or not us fans need to get our point accross about the lack of disrespect GFH have shown us fans - need voices on Saturday guys and cause a rather loud stink - LUFC is our club and these people are destroying it in more ways than one they are one minute wonders we are here forever do not forget that! - let's get behind the manager too and show them we mean business! MOT

Agree1 Disagree0

Weve lost the plot now

Agree1 Disagree0

For gods sake get real, even someone with no business knowledge will know that if GFH put us into administration they will loose all their investment, they are a bank!
Just keep calm and carry on

Agree2 Disagree0

Love it how you say italians when there's only one :D

Agree1 Disagree0

Ha ha with there was none LOL (italians that is)!

Agree0 Disagree0

No chance of Cellino being passed as fit and proper as a director in the UK Nor any of his representatives. Forget the Ities he has an embezzelment charge and subsequent court case hanging over him. I agree entirely about Haigh he is fake and looking to flip us! These *******s won't ruin our club if we pull together I am making some noise on Sat for BMD **** the rest!

Agree2 Disagree0

The son could be put up for fit&proper person test though could he not?

Agree1 Disagree0

{Ed013's Note - Correct}

Yep, brian McDermott deserves a medal for what he is going through right now gfh are an utter disgrace! " oh brian McDermott oh brian McDermott "

Agree2 Disagree1

This is not rubbish and came from a close source to er!

Agree0 Disagree1

Where's LUST in all this.? JD

Agree1 Disagree0

Oh Brian McDermott Ohh Brian McDermott sing it loud and proud saturday peeps! he deserves it with all this GFH crap!

MOT

Agree1 Disagree0

Ed what are your thoughts on all this crap?

Agree2 Disagree0

{Ed013's Note - I heard something similar today, the best thing for GFH to do is reduce their asking price and work with Sports Capital. Otherwise they will have to pay them back for the money that has been put into the club. Lets not forget the massive shirt sponsor that could be lost}

Haigh I believe has been a very naughty boy and that is why flowers is so pi**ed off. Flowers wants his money back after been sold a dummy by haigh and other issues will be coming out over the next few days that will paint one of the stars of this catastrophe in a very murky light. Would it be great if for once we could be be saying how well everything was going and what a club we have! I hope I am wrong and a deal is sorted and we have millions to spend!

Agree1 Disagree1

Ed maybe you need to do a private piece to GFH and try and make them see sense before they sell us down the river good and proper

Hope not- MOT

Agree2 Disagree0

{Ed013's Note - I just hope they don't panic sell to an idiot! People are slagging David Haigh off, but he has seen the potential with the club and realises GFH are in no position to push forward. That is why he has got the 3 other people involved to take the club to the next level, I just hope he comes through and is successful. What worries me is how a club as big as Leeds with some of the highest attendances in the league can be in so much debt! You don't see other clubs suffer as much as this and I assure you Leeds are not the highest payers when it comes to wages. Through tickets, LUTV, match day sales and the superstore Leeds make a lot more money than most due to the massive fan base}

29 Jan 2014 22:41:56
Ed013, so much debt? have you any idea just how much this is?

Agree1 Disagree1

{Ed013's Note - I don't know exact amounts mate, but I know they have put 6 million in which I think is extortionate considering the amount of money Leeds bring in and GFH are not poor!}

Has it ever became public who members 3 and 4 of sport capital are? I believe they are the best option for us but I have a feeling cellino is going to be our next owner! I know absolutely nothing about Cagliari apart from the crazy manager dismissals but does the guy invest in the playing side of them?

Agree1 Disagree0

Ed my concern with Haigh is not personality or indeed what he tried to do but moreso his inegrity. We hear that he was surprised at what they found and that His consortium with AF reduced their offer. All seems fair enough but Haigh is firstly the current MD and must have the clubs accounts available and is still an executive and former director of GFH? this duality raises a lot of questions to me and makes me suspicious of motive As feet in both camps must mean conflict of interest. I want to believe that all the good stuff but feel we are been mis led. The ref to the Cellino and representatives not been fit and proper will have to include the FA's agreement and I still don't believe this is an option. Certainly noy one we want to see as Leeds fans. Wish we could get a clear statement from someone!#MOT

Agree2 Disagree0

{Ed013's Note - I agree mate, it baffles me that they didn't know what GFH are hiding, if anything at all. It does need a statement and not the day after transfer deadline day. Fans need to know, imagine hearing on the day of the Huddersfield match that everything has fallen through and some players left the day before. I would fear a similar result like the Sheffield game could be on the cards. Leeds needs someone in charge that is right for the club, someone that is honest and gives Brian what he needs, time and of course money for players}

30 Jan 2014 06:35:15
all I can say is BMD is the best LEEDS UTD have had for ages, and if we allow him to leave due to this takeover saga the we need to ask the question . who thinksabout all the loyal leeds fans because it does not seem the board do.

Agree1 Disagree0

In terms of FA/Football League fit for ownership qualification, I don't believe that an owner has to be a director, and while there were plenty of paragraphs detailing disqualifying reasons for directors (including corruption and 'an offence involving a Dishonest Act'), I saw none specifically mentioning owners. although the regulation is titled 'Appendix 3 - Owners and Directors Test'.

So maybe there is loophole there.

Anyway, if anybody will be switched on to the legal side, it should be David Haigh, according to his CV 'David is a solicitor of the Supreme Court of England and Wales, a member of the UK Institute of Directors and the International Bar Association'

Agree0 Disagree0

McCormack to Sunderland 8/11

£4.2 mill

Believable19 Unbelievable50

Odds are 11/8 not odds on plus it doesn't take much money to make a big change in transfer odds so doesn't necessarily mean anything

Agree1 Disagree0

Also we are odds on to sign adam le fondre. bet reading are bricking themselves for that one!!

The 3rd Cellino transfer rumour has emerged, this time its 23 year old playmaker Andrea Tabaneli. Cellino apparently wants him to join Leeds in loan, surprise surprise we can't keep him as he's a young player :(

Tabaneli has scored 1 goal and assisted 3 in serie b this season

http://hereisthecity.com/en-gb/2014/01/28/cagliari-to-loan-italian-playmaker-to-leeds-united-report/

Believable12 Unbelievable34

29 Jan 2014 21:01:10
Who is the 3rd player? The only other one I know of is Julio Cesar

Agree0 Disagree0

1. Julio Cesar

2. Daniele Cacia - V Hellas striker linked to us yesterday on newsnow

3. Andrea Tabaneli - Linked with us today

Agree0 Disagree0

Third one is an italian striker from verona I think that scored 25 goals last season to get them into seria a. forgot his name but it says he is good at lower level leagues but not at top level and has only played in italy.

Agree0 Disagree0

29 Jan 2014 17:22:04
Gianluca festa our next potential manager is current manager of lumezzane in what can only be described as a really poor league in Italy, they are currently sitting in 11th in a league of 16, he's not coming for his potential because he couldn't lace mcdermotts boots, he's coming because he's cellinos bitch a yes man, you have to fear for our club if cellino takes over.

Believable20 Unbelievable29

Ah Gigi Festa, good defender in his time.

I remember him trying to fight Robbie Keane after he emptied him in the box

Dont fancy him managing us though

Crmd

Agree1 Disagree0

Was'nt Festa a pretty useless centre back with Middlesborough in the days of Ravanelli? JD

Agree0 Disagree3

29 Jan 2014 19:05:55
yes well looks like that celino is wanting to manage the team as well as own it to be fair . maybe he will give me a job as the fall guy

Agree2 Disagree0

Let's put this into some rational context, Cellino will fail any fair & proper test set by the FA. The guy has a disastrous record in Italy not only as a club owner but also with the law. We need to give BMD our 100% backing! having spoken with him in Harrogate earlier today, he's a decent man & genuinely wants what's best for the club. GFH have no genuine interest in who they sell the club to & that is very worrying.

Agree2 Disagree3

Nah, Festa wasn't useless. Was quite strong at the back and good in the air, scored a fair few headers from corners etc.

I am so bored of people panicking about Cellino. His fraud charges relate to paperwork for the stadium he built. He's hardly a ken bates (read up on the things he did and he was genuinely a nasty character). And as for a poor owner? He took Cagliara, a tiny team but his home town team, from nowhere to 7th in Seria A, finishing above much bigger clubs. He spent 55million of his own money on players and tried to build a new modern stadium but got turned over by southern italian politics. You know how far leeds have sunk when fans settle for players like jimmy kebe. Cellino is a proper football man. Get him in and get the boring out of Leeds

Agree1 Disagree0

So we are going to get rid of uncle Festa and take Gianlucca Festa. Sounds so stupid it might just happen at our Club lol

Agree0 Disagree0

29 Jan 2014 16:15:45
With BMD becoming more and more despondent by the day with the pantomime take over at ER there are strong rumors from a contact at Bloomfield Road that Blackpool will make an approach. I hope not, we need stability not change

Believable27 Unbelievable16

Behave! That is frying pan into the fire

Agree1 Disagree0

Could you really blame him? It must be an awful situation to be in, the fans want progress on the field, and he can't improve the squad because of the farce going on in the background!

Agree1 Disagree0

He might not be getting the backing that he wants from the board but at least they are paying the wages. Blackpool have no money and are losing their best player on loan as they sacked his Dad and he has no reason to hang around anymore.
Who would leave Leeds to go there?

Agree1 Disagree0

Bmd is a rubbish manager already making excuses about takeover why the team keeps losing, I thought they are proffessionals what a load of crap

Agree0 Disagree1

29 Jan 2014 14:01:03
"French midfielder Elliot Grandin has been released by Crystal Palace after just five months at Selhurst Park." - ssn

Worth a pop?

Believable10 Unbelievable29

Did you not hear BMD's post match interview last night. His hands are tied with regards to transfers, even free ones at the minute, so we'll be signing nobody until takeover is finalised, if it ever is. I rapidly losing interest in the club and judging by last nights performance so are a number of the players.

Agree2 Disagree0

No thanks . let's give some Leeds lads a go, some great lads coming through, let's build a bit of the old Revie spirit . going to take time, but hey . we're a million miles away anyway .

Agree3 Disagree0

29 Jan 2014 15:12:06
Why? Clearly crap and we already have that in depth. 40 years watching this and I really feel were at a new low. The takeover is like vultures fighting over the bones, a few carefully leaked passion provoking statements 'were in together, etc so we all shell out our hard earned. At least with Bates you knew he was full of S.

Agree1 Disagree1

29 Jan 2014 13:16:04
Andrew flowers has accused GFH of not caring for the clubs best interests sporting capital have revised there offer since certain problems have come to light all andrew flowers has said is the other people don't know anything about the leeds fans english football heritage I hope its not the italian because his first job will be sacking brian mcdermott cellinos representatives have been seen at thrope arch

Believable23 Unbelievable10

Gfh capital must be having a vacation or something, why has there been no statement from them, not a whisper, what a mess these clowns have got us into, just sell will you to sports capital and consortium they want and care about leeds united , understand what the club means to all the fantastic fans, as does brian McDermott who is very committed to us and needs stability for his team, please get this takeover sorted gentlemen!

Agree3 Disagree0

Absolutely spot on. They are going to get us in serious trouble if this Italian takes over. Name a club that has done well by changing their manager every year. This is what the Italian does regardless of performance. We need some consistency with steady investment brian has my backing. Mot without the Italian

Agree1 Disagree1

The Italian will absolutely ruin us I think the fans need to make themselves heard on Saturday and loudly WE don't WANT AND NEED THE ITALIAN GOT IT! We have to try something and let's back BMC to the hilt

MOT

Agree1 Disagree1

Whats everybody concerned about losing McDermott for? We are appalling, his signings are useless, his substitutions are too late, his formations are clueless. Can anybody tell me what's the big attraction please and why Brown plays instead of Mowatt currently oh and why last night we hoofed the ball to McCormack all game. don't like changing managers every season admittedly but this gut has given me no confidence whatsoever.

Agree3 Disagree1

29 Jan 2014 15:57:28
I don't like to say it but Chelsea haven't done too bad.

Agree1 Disagree0

Of course GFH should sell to Sports Capital. Best resolution for future of Club but they won't. They now have the opportunity to just sell for the highest price they can get. They do not care what happens after they have sold and if things don't look good (i.e promotion to premier not happen in couple of years) they will sell their remaining 10%. The only GFH people who about the future of LUFC are David Haigh and Salem Patel. They are not Senior another at GFH to make any difference!

Agree1 Disagree0

Isn't Andy Flower who reduced his offer?

Agree0 Disagree0

If these sports capital guys r haggling over a few million i'd imagine (if that) for a club they're so "passionate" about maybe they don't have all that too much money themselves, especially if they're willing to looses out to a competitor then tryin to play the oh he doesn't know the fans etc bull, i'm pretty sure cellinio has plenty knowledge about football and fans seeing as he's owned a club for what 20 years what exactly does david haig know about this club or football in general?. if the itallians willing to pay that bit extra that shows more then these guys have done over the last year so fair play to him

Agree1 Disagree1

29 Jan 2014 16:59:39
When you throw 500 million plus at a team managers are bystanders. But when you look at there most successful period they had the same manager. dimateo was the exception. So we get rid of Brian and bring an Italian in. Will that make the difference will he get us a playoff place. Will he keep us up. Don't know about u. It would be nice to see out team develop over years so when we get back to the promise land we are ready

Agree1 Disagree1

Not the end of the world chopping and changing managers if your near the top of the pile with bags of cash, but we need stability at the moment. I still believe McDermott has what it takes to get us back to where we belong. We'd dropped so far that it was never going to be a quick fix to rise back up, give it time and patience and we will back to the promised land.

Agree0 Disagree0

Some people have no integrity. Flash Italian splashing the cash and they are falling over themselves.

Slagging players off and the manager. Marching on Together my erse! i'm sure some of you are closet Man U fans.

Green off to Ipswich!

I've also heard if your not in Mcd's plans he doesn't give you to time of day and doesn't talk to you .

Only if you have an attitude problem varney has proven he has so had morrison we want players who care about leeds united and there fans mcdermott isn't an person he knows who the players are who care and who dont

Agree1 Disagree1

Saw Green getting onto Ipswich's team coach following last night's game but he assured me he was just getting a lift to his car which he had parked on Cemetry Road. Do you have any strong evidence for your claim that he's going to Ipswich?

Agree4 Disagree1

Yes a guy in the gym lol

Agree1 Disagree0

McDermott
Not given greeney a chance when o'neill plays him for 90 mins for Republic .then not played since.he's a local lad leeds thro thro and I think he's a good squad member.lets see if he's in Ireland's side!

Agree0 Disagree0

He's also put his house up for sale

Agree0 Disagree0

It's just a whisper at the minute . but I think greeny wants games for his Ireland place and he's not even in are match day squad
