Heard from a few different places that leeds are eyeing Richie Towell of Dundalk as their first non foreign signing.

Not sure how much truth is in this. Also never seen him play. Has anyone got any idea what he is like?

Believable6 Unbelievable45

I think you will find Dundalk is foreign

Hes the best player in the league in my opinion, a lot people over here want him to be called up for the irish squad, he's really good

Agree0 Disagree1

Sorry Shm but he is foreign he's Irish and seen him play many times live underage for Ireland where he stood out quite a lot but never reached the heights that was expected of him.

Having said that he's been quality in the Airtricty league (I know it's a very low standard) but he still has potential and would get for next to nothing and would accept relatively low wages.

Agree1 Disagree0

My friend is on pre season with Sunderland in Portugal and quite a few people have to them to take a look at him.

Agree0 Disagree1

We need championship proven players now. We've signed 2/3 unknowns already. Could do with a few players with premier league experience too.

Agree1 Disagree0

I'm sure Stuart Taylor isn't foreign.

Agree2 Disagree0

I like to keep an eye on the league of Ireland myself and from over here in the league of Ireland he is very highly rated.i know he played for Hibernian but was relised but is one of the star players here.id give him a chance because I think he deserves it.

News now saying we have offered reo-coker (not sure if its right spelling.) a contract another cm would be a good signing if say norris went what you all think?

Agree1 Disagree2

S-Mitchell
Ive told you before we've had PROVEN championship players in Kebe, Hunt etc
They won the league and look how they turned out!!

Uou are saying you don't want these players youve never heard him and youve NEVER seen play, how can you comment on someone youve NOT seen?

Sheffield Wednesday are considering an offer for Tom Lees

Wendies can have him

Agree2 Disagree0

George
That's what Ken Bates would have said, we have a new owner and new religion MC says they can BUY him we don't give players away anymore ;)

Agree1 Disagree0

I really hoped for bigger things from Tom Lees. A couple of seasons ago he looked like he might be a star of the future, but he never really progressed. I still reckon we could get a half decent price for him.

Agree1 Disagree0

It would make way on the wage bill to bring a quality centre half in to play with Pearce so if we got say £750k I'd snap there hands off shame they don't want Wooton too.

Agree0 Disagree0

It will be interesting to see if Lees recovers this season from his dip year under McDermott. I reckon he suffered from BM's constantly changing formations, and think he has the character to bounce back.

Agree0 Disagree0

Andy I think we did give him away!

Apparently we want to sign chesterfield's liam cooper. Asking price is a million.

Believable29 Unbelievable21

He played well on saturday, I was sat in the chesterfield west stand talking to a few of them and they were telling me he was rated there

Agree1 Disagree0

Apparently bid £500k

Benedicic loan deal snag. Leeds want an option to buy at end of loan. Milan don't want to sell. Maybe Cellino will simply have to get the player thru the door for the season and just see what happens.

Were supposed to be preparing a £1 million bid for Liam Cooper the chesterfield centre half. He's only 5, 11" so can't see him been a commanding type we need but he's a former hull player and is also a life long whites fan.

Cannavaro was only 5'9 or so, that doesn't matter all that much

Agree1 Disagree1

I know that quality is a big factor but the rest of our centre halls aren't what you would call giants are they? You could get away with one smallish centre back but could it be done with 2? I'm not sure

Larest is that we are interested in signing Danny Graham, please don't tell me we have resorted to signing a real barn door Billy, don't we learn we had this donkey once and he was not good enough then!!!

Believable5 Unbelievable28

Bit harsh, he may of had a hard time last time at leeds, but he has done well everywhere else, I reckon he would be an asset. unlike Morrison who was deff too sh. to wear rubbish on sat, can't wait for tonight to see how bad we are again., viviani signed

Agree3 Disagree1

30 Jul 2014 04:39:38
Tad harsh. With Graham its all about the price. Can we get him for a bargain? Anything around 400k region we should pounce if we have to sign him permanently. Who would you rather have? Graham or Morison or Hunt? Graham can be a threat at this level.

Has Viviani actually signed or not? Anyone know a definitive answer?

Believable19 Unbelievable10

Phil Hay stated that Cellino told him that it is complete - no official announcement on the site yet

Agree1 Disagree0

Seems to have gone quite, think they love making us sweat

Agree1 Disagree0

Deal not done possible reason for hold up going around is it could be trying to change the loan to a perm

Agree1 Disagree0

They are still waiting to receive the paper work An agreement has been reached.

The rumoured away kit is a dark blue with a horizontal presumably yellow stripe. It's on the Football League website

Believable16 Unbelievable6

No yellow stripe but thin white lines across it.

Agree1 Disagree0

Still not a yellow one :( kit reminds me of the training gear they used to have.

We are now linked with striker Glenn Murray from palace.

I think websites should have a percentage displayed on there page on how many rumours they have got correct.
If everyone joined who we've been linked with over the last 4 weeks we'd have the biggest sqaud in the uk.

Believable17 Unbelievable8

At 30 he's prob got 2 or three good years ahead of him and would be a good signing as he knows where the net is at this level and is a powerful old fashioned style centre forward but he thrived at palace with good wingers putting good crosses in which in my opinion width is something we lack but did hear we was looking at Aggard again yesterday and if we got say Gradel as well then someone like Murray would get us goals, maybe they will swap for Morrison? Yea I know it was just wishfully thinking.

I agree we need good wingers but the last twice I've watched Gradel he's been VERY poor ;(

Heard that we are again trying to get Danny graham we want him on loan but Sunderland want cash transfer deal!

Believable9 Unbelievable29

CAL
It says boro are after him as well, hope they win the race to sign him. he's ONLY scored once since his £5mill transfer to wunderland i'm only guessing but that must be 2 years ago ;(

Agree0 Disagree0

28 year old would be a great signing with loads of experience but would we be able to afford his wages!

Agree0 Disagree0

He was rubbish the first time he was with us

Agree0 Disagree0

Even though he's older - I'd rather have Murray - and if we got Wood from Leicester too that would give us "some" decent strikers.
If you look at teams who've gone up automatically to the Premiership they've all had more than 2 decent strikers to share the goals around. Not that I'm suggesting we can go up, but it would give us a decent base to build on for next season.
