Just been on radio Leeds that MC is cooperating with Farnham group as a plan B should the fpp fail and things are posertive between both parties to move forward

Believable65 Unbelievable10

Is there no end to this nightmare? Just when I thought the term consortium was history a consortium trilogy emerges from the dark deep waters of Elland Road namely Cellino, Eleonora Sport, Farnan & TogetherLeeds plus Uncle Tom Cobbly an all. I give up, I'm buying a season ticket for me and my son in the new extension of Manchester City's stadium to watch some quality football for the next decade. Good Luck to all concerned with Leeds United Co-Operative Society.

Agree1 Disagree13

All over NewsNow too,

This could be massive.

Cellinos £££ and football club running know-how would be complemented with a safeguard if a few suit wearers had a small but competitive share in the decisions!

In the eyes of the court a group of men with Leeds at their hearts could be almost a shaparone.

In my eyes farnan is nothing more than a desperate money grabber trying to be big. He has no more leeds in his heart than GFHC, and should this deal pgo ahead, he and his partners will have to work hard to earn the respect that MC's Millions will provide him within days with a few smart ( and football stadium sized) purchases

Agree1 Disagree0

I smell a rat with fl influence

Agree1 Disagree0

It could be the way forward for Cellino but Farnan really?

The guy who tried to get us wound up because he didn't get his own way first time around!

Not sure he's the best fit to be honest. We need to get some Abu Dhabi/Qatari money in and make us great again

Agree1 Disagree1

{Ed013's Note - It was Flowers, not Farnan}

If this is the only way we can get MC's millions to our club then so be it. I like his honesty and we've needed someone like him to come to the club and shake things up. Great phone interview on ssn, Haigh and Nooradin should take note on how to do PR.

Adam Pearson is in Farnans consortium and has an excellent track record as a football administrator. He began at Leeds United, lives nearby and is a fan. Look what he did at Hull. Some good people in Farnans team - add Cellinos money and we have a group who are everything GFH arent. ie Wealthy, Football people with good track records (remember Farnan was at & Sunderland too). Cellinos has 20 years at Cagliali - These guys know what to do and how to do it.

Agree4 Disagree0

I'm all for it. As long as it is all sorted ASAP I'm all for it. After listening to cellinos interview on tv earlier he's obviously passionate about leeds and by the sounds of it will do anything to be apart of our great club!

Agree0 Disagree0

I love Masimo.Passion.Has run a football team for 22yrs.Most of it top fight Italian League.Talks the talk and i'am sure he will walk the Walk?Even if has to join up with Farnam he will pull the strings. When was the last time we had someone who could run a football club?90's.Managers Bilko and Graham. The board set the budget. We did very well during those times.Life long Fan

Agree0 Disagree0

To the poster who's buying a ticket for the citizens, enjoy your new team and hope you see nice football.

REAL/TRUE Leeds fans will be at elland road ;)

Agree6 Disagree0

Cellino already a legend in my eyes

Agree2 Disagree0

So how does this work say for buying the stadium back and players etc. those guys clearly don't have the money to do it themselves so I can't see cellino spending a far greater percentage when they can sit back and claim theircut of the profits etc. should we make some haha because I imagine cellino will b limited to a certain stake? Any ideas maybe he could buy the stadium under elnora. ?

Agree0 Disagree0

Totally agree. If I was Cellino I would insist on a prenuptial agreement before this marriage and climbing into bed with Farnan and Co.

Agree0 Disagree0

Got to agree that our boy Massimo
and his advisors have got to insist on a
pre nup.The problem here is that the funny
handshake people(masons)which could include
Harvey, Bates, all of the FL chairmen and I suspect the QC guy could be all in this togethor.
Been a lot of talk recently about betting scams which included one of our players and funny how we have gone in no time at all from possible Prem to possible 1st division.I smell a rat.Missed pens and beatings by lesser teams plus bad subs and rubbish purchases.Know nothing about
betting odds but I bet one of us knows a bit about betting scams (International) and what has been going on.If you do then time to spill the beans.Go massimo
and take us to where we belong and I do
mean European football.

Agree0 Disagree0

This really could be the best option, there's no way I'd put money on MC winning his appeal seems inevitable with everything else that's gone on. However. If he sells a large portion of his 75% to TL, he could avoid the owners test yet and fund until his convictions are spent then buy back shares as time goes on. Even better is there's nothing stopping him buying EL and TA, saving the club on rent! that way he has a huge asset despite a smaller share. As long as everyone stays amicable and put the club at heart could finally be the backing we have needed!

Agree3 Disagree0

He'll cooperate with any 1

Agree0 Disagree0

Cellino will want to be boss, he's sacked endless managers and can't see him being part of a co-operative. I suppose now all the fans questioning hunt etc wages will now go quiet and be talking about millions, massive and signing messi, love LUFC, hate modern football

Agree0 Disagree0

Don't want a consortium, more greedy mouths to feed ;(

Agree0 Disagree0

At last some sign of hope and common sense!
The above sensible comment supports my previous post that Cellino can own up to 29% without infringing the FA rules. That way we get his money without him having any control –he’s loose cannon and if he were in charge we would really go down with his yacht!
This way we have his cash with minimal influence and the expertise of the Together Leeds guys who have sound experience. Hopefully between them they can ease out these greedy Arabs who only became involved to make a quick profit! The sooner were are rid of them the better. Good luck to this initiative – it would give us owners with access to significant funding without having a loony Cellino in charge and through sharing the ownership a moderating management style that would not get rid of the best manager we have had in years and would support him in the major rebuilding that we all know is required. I say Good Luck

Agree0 Disagree0

Fingers crossed then!
have farnan, pearson & co. already got fl approval?
anyone know how long this will take? weeks or months?
sounds promising
mot
should give the team a boost for wigan - on the telly - come on leeds - get us 3 points!

Agree0 Disagree0

Best manager? BM? are you mad, have you watched the games? I supported him up until Jan but he has lost it, you can see it in his eyes, hear it in his voice and most of the players not playing for him, he seems pants on tactics and getting the most out of what you have got, he does moan a lot as well to be fair.
BM got to go for sake of LU at end of season
DG

Agree0 Disagree0

A lot of you are stating how 'loony' Cellino is.

Maybe loony and direct is what we need, no more pussy-footing around with an empty pot, thinking it's the players god given right to take (or Blatantly Steal) a living from leeds without putting in any sort of performance.

Insecurity in general is not a good thing, but maybe is what we require in doses. This will come from a more diverse squad and players competing against one another for starts. Not people just starting week in and out, having a steady one.

Crack the whip Mr. C.

Agree0 Disagree0

This looks very much like Cellino is being smart in case he does not pass the test. If he passes he could turn around and say talks didn't work out but if not he has already held out the olive branch and would probably be welcomed to join TL consortium.

I wouldn't mind Farnan and Pearson involved though - as previous posters have mentioned they have their heads screwed on right and they have done good things in football in the past. Plus, it might help to calm MC from being too hasty in some of his decisions. I love his passion but he could probably use some clear thinking partners to help at times s well to stay out of trouble.

Agree1 Disagree0

How much is mc worth?

Cellino is planning to give his son money to buy Leeds if his appeal fails, Cellino will be pulling strings around the club and investing through is son

Believable34 Unbelievable36

He could just have his son hire him as first team manager, after getting his coaching badges of course

Agree0 Disagree2

Not going to happen. Has been mentioned numerous times on here why this isn't possible

Agree0 Disagree0

This is not allowed. Cellino would still be viewed as a 'shadow' director by FL

Agree0 Disagree0

With things on such a knife edge at our club, do we really need people coming on here and putting up their own "GUESSWORK" as a rumour? If you have facts or heard something real or tangible then fair enough, but just stop the nonsense guessing game.

Agree0 Disagree0

Its all been said by the other posters it won't happen and can't happen as he is still viewed as a Shadow Director and that contravenes FL regulations.
I can't believe as football fans who should only be talking about the last game, potential new players in the summer transfer market we are now all bloody experts on the sodding FL take over and legal ramifications For that alone GFH I despise you

Cellino talking to ssn,, can't believe he put 14 million into the club

Believable27 Unbelievable10

He never said he had, he said all concerned had. Didn't think it fair to disclose his put in.

Sorry guys, Cellino will not pass the fit and proper persons test. His initial handling of sacking Mcdermott before he owned the club was enough on it's own to prove he is not fit and proper. Then to top it all he slags everybody off in a radio interview. OK I know his comments were right but you do not do it in the public domain. How is he going to work with Haigh now after slagging him off. Oh what a happy ship. His comments are printed in all the national newspapers for all to see. He and we are the laughing stock of the league. Let's hope Farnham, Pearson and co. have the resources they say they have because if not we are right in it. JD

Believable24 Unbelievable14

Yeah yeah that's got nothing to do with fit and proper mc needs the sack and the rest of the board keep redders and naylor! It's a opinion not a not fit to chairman our club! He said what others are thinking and I hope he passes because we don't need another consortium as think about it they have not enough money to put in there selves, 1 man chairman is what we need not another lieing constortium!and I take it your part of the football league or maybe the judge if mc don't pass what next not prem that's for shore!

Agree4 Disagree0

This is the words of the QC appointed by the football league. Cellinio was right with every word spoken. Down with the football league, down with david haigh and down with brian mcdermott. Bunch of 5 hites.

Agree2 Disagree1

There is no way to prove this was actually Cellino and not a parody.

I don't think he will pass the fit and proper text but a private conversation made public without the consent to record the thing cannot be considered and used in the decision process.

Agree0 Disagree1

If he does, nt own the club how come he stopped that weasel mccormack from jumping ship and stopping season tkt sales in january,, and if you telling the truth you can say what you like especially after pumping an estimated 10mill into the club.I for one want to hear the truth.

Mr T.

Agree2 Disagree0

Nothing you've stated above has any bearing on the fit and proper persons test.
You'd rather have a business man in wanting to strip as much money as he can out of it, as oppose to a man who's made a vast sum of money and pushes some of that wealth into a football club (Cagliari)?
Start talking sense. Because people 'claiming' to have money have put us up the creek without a paddle for years.

Cellino is a football man. Get him in.

Agree5 Disagree0

If Cellino doesn't pass, it will have absolutely nothing to do with the interview or sacking McDermott. It comes down to ENTIRELY whether or not his guilty verdict translates to the equivalent of a British conviction.

His defence is that in Italy, you need to be convicted to the third degree in order to be guilty. He is only guilty in the first degree. Essentially, it is like 1-0 to the authorities in a best-of-three game. The question for Tim Kerr is whether or not this constittues being actually guilty, and this is totally open to interpretation.

There is a saying that holds true,
Believe half of what you see and nothing of what you hear. I don't think for a minute that a guy who has upset many in business over the years would be so unguarded in his comments, especially to a random caller. (think about it)

Original poster
You think MC will give haigh a job? He will be one of the first to get his p45 bud.

Agree1 Disagree0

When he sack BMC we as fans had were treated to the best game of the season.tell you something eh

Agree2 Disagree2

Cellino telling the truth about our club, our management, our players, our wage bill, get him in now to sort out these wasters & problems before its too late, if its not already.

Agree4 Disagree0

In reply to JD’s comment. It’s about time someone on here got real. Cellino said what most of us agree with. He’s bank rolled the club until now. So he made a great mistake in your opinion letting rip. I’m sick of all the lies, overpaid players, now on half wages (how can they manage on £6-10,000 per week some of them). What about us turning up watch this stuff week in weekout. How much does it cost us? They and the manager, so called chairman and directors are a disgrace. This situation is what the game is all about greed/organisations/egos etc. The only hope is Cellino. The alternative is adminisration and league one. Until an announcement is made my advice keep away from Elland Road. BeestonWhiteBlue&Gold. since1968

Agree2 Disagree1

Is everyone certain it was massimo on phone, is there any proof it was him, though a lot of truth spoken, too which I agree with mostly

Agree1 Disagree0

{Ed013's Note - I spoke with his English Rep and he assured me it was Cellino}

Can't see how any of that has to do with his approval If he doesn't pass you can be pretty sure that those aren't the reasons why.

Agree1 Disagree1

02 Apr 2014 15:01:08
Every Leeds fan who cares wanted to hear what he had to say - the only man who ever said how it was! Leeds legend who will probably never own the club. disgrace - its passion like that that's missing

Agree3 Disagree0

The trouble with this nonsense is the manager can't even motivate our players.not that they should need it.i say get rid of this scrap heap and start over again even if that means relegation look at Southampton

Agree1 Disagree1

02 Apr 2014 15:31:47
as things stand cellino as lent leeds united around £10 mil . this does not make him a leeds legend it also doesn't mean he's awesome because he pumped money into the club because he hasn't . he as just lent leeds the money like a bank would except he's apparently not wanting any interest .

Agree1 Disagree1

He is not the messiah he's a very naughty boy! but cellinio is no worse than what is here all ready infact a lot better BUT he is willing to put his own money in the club and clear out all the crap from top to bottom Haigh included he is a serpent and is riding any ones coat tails, be it Bates, gfh, cellinio, the old consortium, the new consortium, the devil himself as long as he get his blood money from the club he will bleed us dry if he has put money in it will be at a fantastic interest rate that he can't get elsewhere not because he loves leeds I for one hope cellinio gets in and gets rid of all these parasites bleeding this great club so we can start a new with an owner with passion and a team that will play for this great club with pride and passion and not only a wage packet! Mot

Agree1 Disagree1

Of course none of what the original poster said has any relevance at all to Cellino's conviction for the yacht and its standing in international law -that's all the original hearing and appeal hinged on. That goes without saying really. As for Cellino, he is just what we need! Love the way he cuts through the c**p! He was dead right to show BM the door; GFH showed characteristic weakness in bowing to sentiment on the part of some of our fans -and of course they were petrified of the cost of legal action. Haigh is awful -Cellino is dead right. And some of the players have been dreadful. Top bloke -just praying he gets hold of the club! As for the 'radio' interview, Cellino didn't put those comments in the public domain, he was set up and thought he was having a private conversation. If those are his private thoughts, bring it on! Chapel A

Agree1 Disagree0

I think the radio show shouldn't have broadcasted it before the decision. I hate the little cretin who does the phone calls, it's the wrong thing to do in my eyes.

Agree0 Disagree0

"Chapel A". I totally agree with your comments. Keep on Keeping on!

Don't you just hate it when someone starts a post with sorry! as if their opinion is gospel and it is them making the decision. I don't know if the decision will be overturned but I hope it is and as for Cellino proving he was not fit and proper when he sacked McD, look at what has happened since, a woeful set of results, no passion and a manager who seems clueless to do anything about it. McD has now admitted to the media that we are a joke on and off the pitch. That is the first thing he has got right in a long time but surely he is responsible on the pitch?. I think anyone with a degree of concern for the club would walk away and give someone else a chance instead of just waiting for the inevitable pay off. I thought he was a good shout last year but he is now continually proving otherwise and airing your dirty laundry in public is always the beginning of the end. I think he is now inviting the sack and probably can't believe he is still here.

Agree0 Disagree0

Cellino didn't put the comments in the public domain. It was a recording of a conversation he thought was private

Agree0 Disagree0

So, you are sure it was him then?

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed013's Note - Yes}

The fit and proper test is a spe if inc defined legal point, nothing to do with him sacking McDermott or falling out with Haigh.
