once takeover is complete we'll have the funds for max gradel's return. i've heard he wants to come back to ER!

Believable8 Unbelievable16

Why would we bring him back if we ger a takeover theres far better players available than him , hes over rated at best and totally unreliable with his temprement , aidan john 25 MOT p.s me and my brother are playing 18 tomorrow

Agree0 Disagree0

If, as we all hope, we end up with shed loads of cash they will all want to come back !!
PeteMOT

Agree0 Disagree0

Whos the person with the first reply . gradel as been the best player we have had up there with snoddy . gradel managed to control his aggression. all good midfielders have lots of aggression and they can't always keep control . he had everything you want in a player, so sit down and shut up

Agree0 Disagree0

UNRELIABLE... OVERRATED? Are you trolling? The guy was the most reliable winger in the Championship, the highest scoring midfielder in the championship and the hardest working player in the team. Did u not watch last season, we were toothless without him.
He is also 2 years older than the Bristol game and would be a major asset to us.

Agree0 Disagree0

Lets hope we dont just sign greedy players
i would rather have 11 players at 50 k each that play every game for the club than 11 players costing 100 milion that get on a plane and fly home just when thay feel like.
and dont give a sh.. for leeds united

but thats just my few

Agree0 Disagree0

Max can get lost. This time last year he was telling Simon Grayson he didn't want to play against West Ham.

If we bring any player back, it has to be Howson. Never wanted to leave, but couldn't accept a £500/week pay increase (seriously) for the good of his family.

Agree0 Disagree0

No gradel, no smith, no lormimer, no bremner, no viduka (although i reckon he might still make the first team i love him), no cantona, no chapman, no lukic, no john charles, in fact no ex leeds player so stop going on. it is called marching on together not marching backwards or sideways...these post are a insult to our song and the theme that will play when my wife to be marches down the isle (cant believe i got her to agree to that as all her family are millwall and they own shares in the club) anyway i dygrese. please in honor of our anthem stop these backwards posts!

This guy is a retired football agent.. He's been tweeting transfer news before Sky Sports News. Looks as though it will be tomorrow..

Leeds Fans. Big News. Don't quote me, but I hear an announcement on the takeover might be released as soon as tomorrow by the club. Good news. @AgentNCP

Believable10 Unbelievable11

Yeah, I follow this guy on twitter and he's been spot on with everything. Hopefully he is with this also!

Agree0 Disagree0

I've heard that it will be today, or maybe tomorrow, or the day after that, or possibly friday, maybe over the weekend or even sometime after that....

.... take your pick! lol!!

Agree0 Disagree0

Why post any sort of news here followed by "Don't quote me" ....?

Either it's good enough to quote you or it's crap and shouldn't be posted here - as per 90% of the speculation here!

Wolves want McCormack in a player plus cash deal - Ebanks-Blake and £500,000...SNAP THEIR HANDS OFF!

Believable13 Unbelievable12

So we are just going to sell our highest scorer to one or our main rivals for promotion this year?

Think on - we seriously would have to be crazy to sell him to anyone in the championship??

Agree0 Disagree0

Well all the rumours flying around about his transfer are all about moving mostly to a championship club!...palace,huddersfield etc

Agree0 Disagree0

Lol 1st reply.....if leeds sell mccormack then yh it will b to a championship team as hes not prem quality far from it hes lazy. and this deal would b good as ebanks blake works alot harder and has more power but id prefer beckford back as hes far better

Agree0 Disagree0

Honestly I think Ebanks-Blake is easily as good as Rossco. A striker swap between two promotion rivals is a bit odd though

Agree0 Disagree0

Why would we want a player who I older than McCormack, has scored 10 league goals in 3 seasons and ia an ex scum player, when McCormack was quality last season and will score even more next season with better service. I see it just as important getting Clayton, Snoddy, White and McCormack on long term Contracts as it is new quality players in (although getting rid of pugh should be above everything)

Agree0 Disagree0

He's many things, but not lazy - have you actually been watching him this season?

Agree0 Disagree0

adam pearson is fronting takeover with arabs.
and paddy kenny is definitely on his way this week.

MOT

Believable9 Unbelievable12

Is this the ex owner of hull or someone ? If so how do you know what's you're source and not the brown daddies type laugh out loud MOT for life wingy mk

Agree0 Disagree0

Adam Pearson is indeed the ex Hull City Chairman, but was Leeds United Commercial Director up until 2001. He recently left Hull City, along with Barmby, and with links to Leeds it is possible, but unlikely.

Agree0 Disagree0

Yep its pearson from hull.my mate from halifax knows kenny well.its not bull**it i hope as i am a leeds fan.fingers crossed my info is right especially about arab money.

Agree0 Disagree0

Not sure if this is true but would not be a bad scenario. Pearson seemed pretty clued in and would make a good club CEO. I understand he left Leeds when he disagreed with how Ridsdale was running the club.

Agree0 Disagree0

This won't be true, Adam Pearson has switched sports and is currently chairman at Hull F.C.

Agree0 Disagree0

Pearson, the relic of the Ridsdale era? Mmmmmmmm, hope not!

Agree0 Disagree0

Yeah but he left before everything screwed up didn't he?

takeover is not who we all want it to be. As he was quoted saying " I dont know who Leeds United are " DAMN IT. shickh mohamed. cmon warnock bring in the bargains. kenny will be great signing,

Believable15 Unbelievable15

I have a feeling that you maybe along the right lines.
Not saying I know anything, I just have a feeling that we could all be very disappointed soon.
Hope I'm wrong!

It won't be sheik mohammed i don't know why fans thought it would be.
The money is from Bahrain and confirmed by Richard Sutcliffe on sportstalk tonight.MOT TREVO

Agree0 Disagree0

Also he was involved with revies son so he will know all about Leeds.

Agree0 Disagree0

To the guy who posted about Bahrain money, I think that will have come from old news stories, on google in 2003 Bahraini Sheikh Abdel Rahman Al-Khalifan in conjunction with two Saudi backers was going to buy Leeds...clearly it didn't happen then, and prob won't this time. Time will tell.

Agree0 Disagree0

Just telling you what Richard Sutcliffe said on sportstalk.

Leeds United takeover collapses after investors pull out due to various other buyouts in the Championship. They feel immediate promotion is now unobtainable due to too much direct competition. Bates to maintain control for the time being until new investors emerge.

Believable12 Unbelievable25

Wow you got this most reliable info before ssn or any other media source... jealousy is a terrible thing

george ls13

Agree0 Disagree0

Well he sounds like a total tool. We don't want him if he feels there's too much competition

Agree0 Disagree0

'Promotion unobtainable'... You honestly think some investor ploughing money into Leeds United is simply seeking a quick fix promotion in first season for his investment ? He's buying into LEEDS UNITED for a long term relationship and development. 'You Numpty'..... You talk a complete load of old Bollllllllllllllks

hull city are the latest team to be interested in signing paddy kenny looks like were going to miss out on an other transfer target.

Believable10 Unbelievable19

Paddy Kenny is Leeds bound because Neil Warnock is the attraction. Hull ? Come on and get a life mate with your pathetic mumblings

Agree0 Disagree0

He will not go to Hull, not unless Warnock goes there with him and that is highly unlikely.

Agree0 Disagree0

Warnock or no warnock if hull pay up the money and offer him higher wages than us he'll sign for them.

Agree0 Disagree0

Just a townie trying to stir, ignore the muppet

Agree0 Disagree0

I reckon if we do lose out on paddy kenny, we should try and land tom heaton from cardiff city - watford are trying to sign him on a free, cracking keeper.

02 Jul 2012 20:23:47
just heard that we have been bought out by the 4th richest guy in europe made his money in middle east dont know who he is havent looked sure u lot will figure that out lol and apparently kenny has signed for 400k and something about another 300 if we go up and he is on more money than he was on at qpr dont think he is worth it myself just what somebody said hopefully we will find out tomorrow

not bitter and twisted in any way he he he

Agree0 Disagree0

I hope your right. We have all the attributes for building a team for promotion: the stand, the manager, the fans, the ambition all we need and hopefully have already got is the chairman and the money for the job. Leicester had the money but a manager that bought a team that couldn't make promotion. I believe and history proves, we have the best manager to throw cash at and gain a good promotion worthy team. Not good news people.

Someone in our newsroom has spoken with Shaun Harvey. Apparently we were going to make an announcement today but there's been an delay in the buyer transfering the cash.

Believable8 Unbelievable25

Stop lying, how have you spoken to shaun harvey...

Agree0 Disagree0

Original poster here. I work in local press. One of our senior writers has dealt with Shaun Harvey on a number of occasions and has spoken to him today. There's a bit of concern at the club as the consortium had promised the cash in full today. Some talk that one of the backers may be getting cold feet. All newsroom hearsay btw. I got all this third hand.

Agree0 Disagree0

I know that every team has stupid supporters but seem to have more than most. Go back to watching cartoons and eating your microwave dinner {Ed013's Note - Ahh, I have to watch cartoons, but that is because my son watches them! some aren't bad to be honest! Scooby Doo and Spiderman are OK, not sure on Ben 10 though!}

Agree0 Disagree0

Go write this story for your local newspaper then, I'm sure you'll get credit for calling it before anyone else. Unless they know your talking udder bull and you can't. Some people hate the fact we are getting bought over and trying to make our fans sweat for a few days.

Agree0 Disagree0

It was on Calendar that only the finances to be completed

Agree0 Disagree0

So what! Perfectly understandable that there might be a delay in transferring these amounts of cash, doesn't mean it won't happen tomorrow!
Chris

Agree0 Disagree0

He may be genuine the chap in Press office Y.E.P? - leave him be - there are always delays with large money transfers - you guys never been involved with selling / buying a house or deposits from lenders via electronic transfers - total nightmare - always late and delayed - just CHILL-AXE - be all cool tomorrow

Agree0 Disagree0

What is brilliant is everyone knows someone that has someone who knows someone that knows Shaun Harvey etc.

Wait and see funny that journalist from sky seem to think we have got Kenny and so does Kenny by all accounts.

Where have we got the money from ?

Agree0 Disagree0

Trouble transering money? Must bank with Nat West!

Agree0 Disagree0

Shaun Harvey has kept his gob shut for the last couple of month, but when the deal apparently is hagging in the balance he tell the press. shut mouth fool.

Agree0 Disagree0

I was under the impression that before someone was given exclusivity and due diligence took place proof of available funds was a must. JD

Agree0 Disagree0

EVERYONE knows that the Mighty Leeds are gonna roll on again and that worries them...... One little titsy hurdle to overcome and BOOSH...We are back ! Some person trying to obviously spoil the party. Sleep well my friends because we march on together...... on and on and on and on

Agree0 Disagree0

Proof of funds would be required before Due Diligence (remember Bates has always said he wanted proof of funds before moving forward). It is normal practice to put money in an escrow account

Agree0 Disagree0

Proof of funds and due dilligence do not mean that an investor (or a member of the investment party) can't back out at last minute...It's their money, they'll do what they want with it! By the Ed, the old Ben 10 rocks...I'm not convinced with the new...Get the lad into Johnny Bravo! {Ed013's Note - Haha I will take a look}

Dont know for sure when takeover to be announced, but Warnock has the money and will complete the signings of kenny and peltier tomorrow. right back is the only position we are weak.

Believable23 Unbelievable9

Weak up front and midfield too

Agree0 Disagree0

Peltier plays right back that mean just one centre back position unless lees plays then get snoddy signed then centre mid get mcgugan or whittingham to play next to green or clayton then gradel for left mifield then offload mccormack and get bothroyd or rhodes or maybe both. MOT

I think we need to approach with caution now, but celebrate like hell when the takeover (if it happens) is confirmed as a massive caash injection!

Alan Smith is hanging up his boots this summer as he hasn't recieved any offers from decent enough teams/with a decent enough salary to consider playing on. Instead he is going to take a nice long holiday and then work on getting his coaching badges so he can then coach at either Newcastle or Leeds working with their youth sides. Leeds is his first choice but that would depend on whether they would offer him a contract, apparently there is an offer already there from Newcastle.

Got this from a friend who works at the Newcastle academy where Smithy has already helped run a few sessions for the schoolboys teams to see if it was something he would like to do.

Believable7 Unbelievable9

For any that have watched Smith over his career; they can't fail to have noticed the very good work he does with youth players, even earlier in his career, taking a young James Milner under his wing.
Best of luck to him.

Conflicting rumours at the moment and I have to say its rather confusing.

Gary Cooper, who by now we all know as the Chairman of LUST, said on Radio Leeds this morning that the investors are from the Middle East with a UK representative. Many Leeds fans would suspect that this is Duncan Revie.

HOWEVER....Eddie Taylor, a Leeds supporting, Middle East based journo (Twitter @EastStandUpper) has personally contacted Duncan Revie's office, and they have confirmed that Mr Revie is not involved.

Therefore, I seriously hope that all is going to plan. Personally desperate to hear an announcement.

Believable10 Unbelievable3

Gary Cooper never mentioned Duncan Revie. He said they have a British based representative, Revie link is only via rumour and no fact.
Doesn't mean there is a problem just means Revie has never been part of it.

Agree0 Disagree0

Not really conflicting stories. There is an English based representative, but, it won't be Duncan Revie!

Agree0 Disagree0

Or could mean that revies office don't want to break the confidentiality clause by admitting he's involved?

Agree0 Disagree0

You have to remember that our Owner is Ken Bates and he is fantastic about keeping secrets......he must be p****ng his pants at all the rumours and i think everyone will be surprised when it all comes out.

As for Gary Cooper, since according to them, they brought the people to the table, he must know who it is.....

Time will tell but i think this has got a serious twist in it somewhere.

Agree0 Disagree0

Knowing our luck it'll be Ridsdale and Oleary !!!!!

Agree0 Disagree0

Aye that would make sense get Ridsdale back so "Canny" Ken can rant about how the "morons" want me back now!! lol

Neil Warnock was working to tie up loose ends in the transfer market today, in preparation for the planned takeover at Leeds United.

The United manager is back after a holiday abroad and awaiting permission to conclude multiple transfers with funds supplied by prospective new owners of the Championship club.

Investment from the Middle East is poised to arrive at Elland Road after an unnamed group agreed in principle a deal to purchase Leeds from chairman and majority shareholder Ken Bates, subject to due diligence and the investors passing the Football League’s Owners and Directors Test.

The buyers are understood to see Warnock – appointed in February and under contract until the end of next season – as integral to their immediate plans and to have offered assurances about both his position and the money available for transfers.

Warnock has worked in the meantime to put deals in place ready to complete, and the arrival of goalkeeper Paddy Kenny from Queens Park Rangers appears reliant only on Leeds meeting a fee of around £500,000.

Sources in Leicester also claim the transfer of right-back Lee Peltier to Elland Road is effectively a done deal, with City said to value the 25-year-old at £350,000.

Warnock has other matters to attend to with midfielder Michael Brown – recently offered a new one-year deal on reduced terms – now out of contract and Republic of Ireland Under-21 international Aidan White also at the end of his deal.

Leeds have compensation rights for the 20-year-old, who has yet to accept the offer of a fresh deal at Elland Road, who is believed to have spoken to a rival Championship side.

Crystal Palace, meanwhile, look ready to step up their interest in Ross McCormack in a bid to beat Huddersfield and Bristol City to the United striker’s signature.

Source? or none? most probably not believable, if its a takeover it wont be the mega rich. We will get a QPR type investor. Not the king of dubai.

Be nice if it happened though. Lets all keep preying, MOT!!

Agree0 Disagree0

Qpr at one point were the richest club around with all their money. The only thing is that their investors didn't spend Manchester city kind of money on transfers even though they had it.

hi gents, been out with an old friend of mine tonight who works for the accountancy firm that looks after lufc. He says and he's the most honest bloke I know that the party involved in the takeover is on the same level as mansoor (man city owner) that's all they would tell him no names aloud apparently. Wednesday is the day for the announcement barring any hitches. I'm soooo confident about this now

Believable10 Unbelievable9

Well done.... now run along now. Don't forget your lines.. "I must try harder to make my rumour more convincing"

Agree0 Disagree0

I am finding it hard to believe any of these posts, everyone seems to have a friend in accounting at leeds, everyone on this site must know each other personally through all these links?

And everyday a "deadline" passes you all just come back on and make up another source saying its all be finalised wednesday definate.

Why dont you all just stop making up rubbish like children and wait for the real people in the know to announce something on an official channel.

Agree0 Disagree0

No deadlines have been given...so where are all the dates coming from.....i think all will be sorted prior to pre-season training, thats 2 weeks away.

Uncle Ken will tell us when he is ready he loves to be in control.
