once takeover is complete we'll have the funds for max gradel's return. i've heard he wants to come back to ER!
Believable8
Unbelievable16
Why would we bring him back if we ger a takeover theres far better players available than him , hes over rated at best and totally unreliable with his temprement , aidan john 25 MOT p.s me and my brother are playing 18 tomorrow

Whos the person with the first reply . gradel as been the best player we have had up there with snoddy . gradel managed to control his aggression. all good midfielders have lots of aggression and they can't always keep control . he had everything you want in a player, so sit down and shut up
Agree0
Disagree0
UNRELIABLE... OVERRATED? Are you trolling? The guy was the most reliable winger in the Championship, the highest scoring midfielder in the championship and the hardest working player in the team. Did u not watch last season, we were toothless without him.
He is also 2 years older than the Bristol game and would be a major asset to us.
Agree0
Disagree0
Lets hope we dont just sign greedy players
i would rather have 11 players at 50 k each that play every game for the club than 11 players costing 100 milion that get on a plane and fly home just when thay feel like.
and dont give a sh.. for leeds united
but thats just my few
Agree0
Disagree0
Max can get lost. This time last year he was telling Simon Grayson he didn't want to play against West Ham.
If we bring any player back, it has to be Howson. Never wanted to leave, but couldn't accept a £500/week pay increase (seriously) for the good of his family.
Agree0
Disagree0
No gradel, no smith, no lormimer, no bremner, no viduka (although i reckon he might still make the first team i love him), no cantona, no chapman, no lukic, no john charles, in fact no ex leeds player so stop going on. it is called marching on together not marching backwards or sideways...these post are a insult to our song and the theme that will play when my wife to be marches down the isle (cant believe i got her to agree to that as all her family are millwall and they own shares in the club) anyway i dygrese. please in honor of our anthem stop these backwards posts!

Wolves want McCormack in a player plus cash deal - Ebanks-Blake and £500,000...SNAP THEIR HANDS OFF!
Believable13
Unbelievable12
So we are just going to sell our highest scorer to one or our main rivals for promotion this year?
Think on - we seriously would have to be crazy to sell him to anyone in the championship??
Agree0
Disagree0
Well all the rumours flying around about his transfer are all about moving mostly to a championship club!...palace,huddersfield etc
Agree0
Disagree0
Lol 1st reply.....if leeds sell mccormack then yh it will b to a championship team as hes not prem quality far from it hes lazy. and this deal would b good as ebanks blake works alot harder and has more power but id prefer beckford back as hes far better
Agree0
Disagree0
Honestly I think Ebanks-Blake is easily as good as Rossco. A striker swap between two promotion rivals is a bit odd though
Agree0
Disagree0
Why would we want a player who I older than McCormack, has scored 10 league goals in 3 seasons and ia an ex scum player, when McCormack was quality last season and will score even more next season with better service. I see it just as important getting Clayton, Snoddy, White and McCormack on long term Contracts as it is new quality players in (although getting rid of pugh should be above everything)
Agree0

He's many things, but not lazy - have you actually been watching him this season?

Adam Pearson is indeed the ex Hull City Chairman, but was Leeds United Commercial Director up until 2001. He recently left Hull City, along with Barmby, and with links to Leeds it is possible, but unlikely.

Not sure if this is true but would not be a bad scenario. Pearson seemed pretty clued in and would make a good club CEO. I understand he left Leeds when he disagreed with how Ridsdale was running the club.

Original poster here. I work in local press. One of our senior writers has dealt with Shaun Harvey on a number of occasions and has spoken to him today. There's a bit of concern at the club as the consortium had promised the cash in full today. Some talk that one of the backers may be getting cold feet. All newsroom hearsay btw. I got all this third hand.

Instead he is going to take a nice long holiday and then work on getting his coaching badges so he can then coach at either Newcastle or Leeds working with their youth sides. Leeds is his first choice but that would depend on whether they would offer him a contract, apparently there is an offer already there from Newcastle.
Got this from a friend who works at the Newcastle academy where Smithy has already helped run a few sessions for the schoolboys teams to see if it was something he would like to do.

For any that have watched Smith over his career; they can't fail to have noticed the very good work he does with youth players, even earlier in his career, taking a young James Milner under his wing.
Best of luck to him.

Right, so we are closing in on Kenny... i'd say that, that means the investment has happened, and the takeover is what they have been granted due dilligence for? Think i might be right Ed?

Conflicting rumours at the moment and I have to say its rather confusing.
Gary Cooper, who by now we all know as the Chairman of LUST, said on Radio Leeds this morning that the investors are from the Middle East with a UK representative. Many Leeds fans would suspect that this is Duncan Revie.
HOWEVER....Eddie Taylor, a Leeds supporting, Middle East based journo (Twitter @EastStandUpper) has personally contacted Duncan Revie's office, and they have confirmed that Mr Revie is not involved.
Therefore, I seriously hope that all is going to plan. Personally desperate to hear an announcement.

Gary Cooper never mentioned Duncan Revie. He said they have a British based representative, Revie link is only via rumour and no fact.
Doesn't mean there is a problem just means Revie has never been part of it.

Not really conflicting stories. There is an English based representative, but, it won't be Duncan Revie!

Or could mean that revies office don't want to break the confidentiality clause by admitting he's involved?

You have to remember that our Owner is Ken Bates and he is fantastic about keeping secrets......he must be p****ng his pants at all the rumours and i think everyone will be surprised when it all comes out.
As for Gary Cooper, since according to them, they brought the people to the table, he must know who it is.....
Time will tell but i think this has got a serious twist in it somewhere.

Neil Warnock was working to tie up loose ends in the transfer market today, in preparation for the planned takeover at Leeds United.
The United manager is back after a holiday abroad and awaiting permission to conclude multiple transfers with funds supplied by prospective new owners of the Championship club.
Investment from the Middle East is poised to arrive at Elland Road after an unnamed group agreed in principle a deal to purchase Leeds from chairman and majority shareholder Ken Bates, subject to due diligence and the investors passing the Football League’s Owners and Directors Test.
The buyers are understood to see Warnock – appointed in February and under contract until the end of next season – as integral to their immediate plans and to have offered assurances about both his position and the money available for transfers.
Warnock has worked in the meantime to put deals in place ready to complete, and the arrival of goalkeeper Paddy Kenny from Queens Park Rangers appears reliant only on Leeds meeting a fee of around £500,000.
Sources in Leicester also claim the transfer of right-back Lee Peltier to Elland Road is effectively a done deal, with City said to value the 25-year-old at £350,000.
Warnock has other matters to attend to with midfielder Michael Brown – recently offered a new one-year deal on reduced terms – now out of contract and Republic of Ireland Under-21 international Aidan White also at the end of his deal.
Leeds have compensation rights for the 20-year-old, who has yet to accept the offer of a fresh deal at Elland Road, who is believed to have spoken to a rival Championship side.
Crystal Palace, meanwhile, look ready to step up their interest in Ross McCormack in a bid to beat Huddersfield and Bristol City to the United striker’s signature.

Source? or none? most probably not believable, if its a takeover it wont be the mega rich. We will get a QPR type investor. Not the king of dubai.
Be nice if it happened though. Lets all keep preying, MOT!!

Qpr at one point were the richest club around with all their money. The only thing is that their investors didn't spend Manchester city kind of money on transfers even though they had it.

hi gents, been out with an old friend of mine tonight who works for the accountancy firm that looks after lufc. He says and he's the most honest bloke I know that the party involved in the takeover is on the same level as mansoor (man city owner) that's all they would tell him no names aloud apparently. Wednesday is the day for the announcement barring any hitches. I'm soooo confident about this now

I am finding it hard to believe any of these posts, everyone seems to have a friend in accounting at leeds, everyone on this site must know each other personally through all these links?
And everyday a "deadline" passes you all just come back on and make up another source saying its all be finalised wednesday definate.
Why dont you all just stop making up rubbish like children and wait for the real people in the know to announce something on an official channel.

No deadlines have been given...so where are all the dates coming from.....i think all will be sorted prior to pre-season training, thats 2 weeks away.
Uncle Ken will tell us when he is ready he loves to be in control.
