Big name rumours are very unlikely Rhodes, Hargreaves, Owen etc.
NW more likely to invest in making us a strong squad with arrivals of decent & experienced players like Clint Hill (free), Jason Pearce (£500k), Neil Mellor (free), Paul Green(free), Clingan(free), El Hadji (the rat) Diouf (free), Andy Griffin (free).
Hopefully they will spend big on one player though, like Ambrose, Beckford, Boothroyd or Bradley Wright Phillips but we will see.
MOT

Believable17 Unbelievable7

Mellor is long past it, dare I say Billy is a better striker than him at the same level.
Ambrose I believe is at the end of his contract
Beckford no chance on his current salary

leeds have enquired about robert koren of Hull city.....reliable source

Believable12 Unbelievable13

I have mentioned him several times on banter page. Would be a very good squad member. Can play attacking midfielder, left wing, right wing and scores goals. Unfazed by big crowds, available on a free.
I would be very happy to see him turn out for us next year. End of the day though it's down to NW

Agree0 Disagree0

Leicester city are also interested. hard to compete with them for signatures

Agree0 Disagree0

I think KOREN is a player who could do well at Leeds. Lets not foget that another plus is that Hull & Leeds are close so he doesnt need to up root his family. Ipswich ?.... I think we have the edge if NW feels he's right

Agree0 Disagree0

Ah but Leicester will have to cut back from the exorbitant wages they have been paying due to the new financial rules. Owners have a sliding scale of investment allowed over next 3-4 years

Agree0 Disagree0

I'm not sure but I think we had a look at him when Hull originally signed him for free.

I't would be a good signing but, I would imagine he's one of Hull's highest paid players, as he was earning a far wack at WBA.

Agree0 Disagree0

Regarding last comment, i believe your right there was rumours at the time he signed for Hull that Leeds was after him or spoke etc.

I was a little gutted we missed out on him then so be a good addition to side if it comes off.

Her is better than what we had last season in likes of Nunez, Webber

Leeds ins:
Pearce-definite
Green-quite certain (left derby out of contract)
Diouf-quite certain (talks have happened)
halford-maybe (need a cheap right back)
whitbread-maybe
Butterfield-Maybe (interested in leaving barnsley, from bradford)
Clingan-Wants to leave, would suite are style
Simon Cox-New strike partnership

Becchio will stay and McCormack also
Does anyone know how much we may have to spend roughly?

Believable9 Unbelievable5

Best post of the day based on the rumours so far!

Agree0 Disagree0

Butterfield has all but signed for reading. Clingan has left Coventry after he rejected their contract offer. He apparently wants around 12k a week after rejecting Coventry's offer if 8k. Are we really going to give Clingan 12k if we wouldn't give Clayton 15?

Agree0 Disagree0

Pack of monster munch and a twix, I think only ppl who how much we have to spend is KB and NW them selfs, still need to shift the players he has transfer listed, really don't think we will get much for Clayton as he is not in future plans, would get more if they kept it quite that they wanted to offload him so clubs would feel the need to make a decent offer to prise him away from the club. {Ed003's Note -Roast beef flavour I hope pickled onion ones are horrible}

Agree0 Disagree0

What do you mean: 'would suit our style'?
We don't have a team yet, never mind a style.

Agree0 Disagree0

GREEN & CLINGAN look good options at modest outlay (wages) By doing early deals we may have a chance of getting some decent deals and settling a team before new season. Always been a desperate rush in last few years to grab anything at last minute. CLINT HILL I like, sound and experienced. 'All grafters and fight'

Agree0 Disagree0

I was bit surprised about clayts being transfer listed better than brown and aidy White can leave he thinks he better than Leeds he'll being be back on loan at some championship team in a year an we will be laughing cause we will be in prem mot !!!

Clayton, tweeted around an hour ago saying HE DID NOT ASK FOR 15K A WEEK. Well who did?

Believable9 Unbelievable4

It was white who wanted 15k newcastle are signing him apparently were gettin close to 2m compensation

Agree0 Disagree0

He probably asked for more than that then lol i dont think centre mids are so effective in the championship. solid defence and cms with quick wingers and a strong striker are what get teams up. A bit like reading, no pure quality in cm just a strong defence and pace. The money might be what we needs to extend the wage budget or finance moves for other players. In Warnock we trust. MOT

Agree0 Disagree0

Sounds like his representatives from what Warnock has said so Clayton not wrong in his tweet - he personally did not ask LUFC for £15k a week

Listen Clayton refused his new contract, Leeds are doing the right thing by putting him on the transfer list, Lets get some money for him the sooner the better, Also heard a rumour That Aston Villapod might bid for snodgrass if they stay in the premier league, deal is worth just 1.6 Million Gj

Believable6 Unbelievable13

You cretin. Clayton hasnt been offered a contract to refuse. And he wasnt the player to demand 15k a week. First full year in pro football, ever present in the leeds team,6 goals including two vital goals against west ham and leicester, the latter been leeds goal of the season. The kid has the potential to play for England and at the highest level. Hes a star in the making. We wont see Clayton in the championship next year. Premier bound!

Think the signing of Paul Green is very likely he's from Pontefract (10 miles outside Leeds) and he was a few years below me at Carleton High School!! So family and old friends close by!

a lad who goes to my local gym told me today that SG was talking to NW yesterday? ( he works in the youth team set up at Hudds)

He didnt know what it was about...could it be Rhodes or now we know about clayton is SG after clayton in some kind of swap deal for rhodes?

Believable14 Unbelievable17

IF he was there,NW was probably there thanking SG for leaving him such a talented squad.

Agree0 Disagree0

Probably asking him what the hell he saw in most of the players he brought er

Agree0 Disagree0

Clayton will easily find a decent championship team to go to...he i sdefinately a quality player

Agree0 Disagree0

Probably asking sg if bates ever said yes to anything that he put forwards. im bates look at my wad! SAD mot4life

Agree0 Disagree0

I saw NW in my local last night too he also said we're in talks to sign mr blobby, nothing concrete yet tho. Haha!

Agree0 Disagree0

I just signed Jordan Rhodes for Leeds on FM so this is without doubt gonna happen for real

Agree0 Disagree0

Oh and clayton just scored in a friendly so he cant be part of the swap deal.

Agree0 Disagree0

I think Clayton is a reasonably player and I like the guy. I just think NW wants guys who have hunger and desire and that Claytons attitude just didnt fit in. Dont think it was him who wanted the £15k week but maybe his head was too far up his own ar@e

Agree0 Disagree0

Its a conspiracy send sg to udders to get the good players to leeds.. Or he telling nw he selling wrong players

Interested to hear people's opinions on realistic targets for CM now that it looks like Clayton going. Couple of good quality centre midfielders needed now, preferred players anyone for the white shirt next season?

Believable12 Unbelievable0

Although I'm well aware neither look likely or have been mentioned before id love to see one of buzsacky or lansbury?!

Either way, quality and quantity is needed after todays developments!

Agree0 Disagree0

It's ambrose from palace mental player and much better than any midfielder we have had since we went down from premiership

Agree0 Disagree0

Hi wanted more money that leeds would pay greed again

Agree0 Disagree0

Clayton hasnt gone yet if he goesw well get money if no bids come in he'll accept a contract for a lower wage clever on NW and KBs part tbh

Agree0 Disagree0

Warnock likes to play with a holding midfielder and 2 just in front so we may bring in 3 if brown signs we would then have 4 which we will need over the season,i think David Norris could do a job for us.

Agree0 Disagree0

More chance of him signing tonge from stoke knows him inside out and worked well with brown at Sheffield u

Agree0 Disagree0

Now lets get clinigan he do a better better job 4 me and will not be greedy. mot4life

Agree0 Disagree0

Dorrans, Wellens, Watson, dare i say it Barton?

Agree0 Disagree0

Think Ambrose would be a quality signing, I'd also go for Leadbitter but looks like he's going too Boro.

Agree0 Disagree0

I would love ambrose, butterfield and norris, all capable of controlling games and their passing is exquisite

Agree0 Disagree0

Spot on with above post.norris, butterfield and ambrose are all class acts.i also like clingan, wot ive seen of him,and steve claridge rates wellens as the best player in the league and he knows his football league so some of these will do nicely for me!! also wot about hoolahan? thoughts?

Agree0 Disagree0

Hoolahan would cost excess of 3mil. No chance, but optimistic ;)

Agree0 Disagree0

I'd have
Butterfield Ambrose
Olifinjana

Agree0 Disagree0

Ambrose is a great player and has worked under NW before so quite possible. if clayton goes, we will need to replace his type of player (good passer and technically sound) ambrose is a more than adequate replacement. would like to see clingan/green in front of the back 4

Agree0 Disagree0

We will sign Green and Tonge and finish mid table again

Agree0 Disagree0

Nick montgomery, from milwall, hes only been there half a season but plade for sheffield united for 10 or so years so has strong yorkshire link and has been linked with us the past ten seasons, sammy clingan also cos we've been linked, for the same reason paul green from derby. I would like to seen Leadbitter cos he is on a free at the end of the season, from ipswich.

Agree0 Disagree0

Think we will look for journeymen that know this division as its NW swan song. Based on rumours for CM I was impressed with Bamba last week and would have preferred to see him with Clayton but if not then instead of wont be so bad.

Agree0 Disagree0

02 May 2012 16:38:58
Agree with all players transfer listed or released except Clayton, should have been Brown .

Believable25 Unbelievable5

Brown will only be cover, he must have plans for 2 new centre midfielders, clingan and green? maybe he will bring in good money, all other are good decisions so lets hope he knows what he is doing

Agree0 Disagree0

Clayton had an average season, hasnt really done enough since NW to stay im worth the same as snodgrass in money

Agree0 Disagree0

When was the last time Clayton had a good game?

Agree0 Disagree0

I understood him keeping Brown.

Warnock had him at Shef United, and got over 20 goals for him.

He's that no nonsense midfielder who isn't scared to hack someone in half, so pretty much a match made in heaven for him and Warnock.

I personally thought he would re-sign Brown on a rolling one month contract just to see how he performs in pre-season, but if he stays on and takes the wage cut than fair play to Brown.

Wouldn't mind him rotating in the team, on less wages, and is that old experienced head that would probably benefit the younger lads.

Agree0 Disagree0

Clingan and Green better than Clayton? I think not. Shocking midfielders.

Agree0 Disagree0

Clingan would be a quality signing! Hes from the falls and hes got big balls!

Who're the six players to be offered new deals? (the article won't open for me) {Ed020's Note - lees,thompson,mccormack aidy white and snodgrass improved deals. brown with a reduced fee contract for 1 year}

Believable12 Unbelievable0

02 May 2012 16:19:22
I cannot understand why Brown at 35 has been offered another year, unless they need somebody to make the tea. i feel sorry for Bruce and Nunez who never got a proper run in the team, meaning 5 and 6 games.
Clayton was rumoured to be wanting more or less what Snods has been offered was maybe why he has gone on the list.
Let's hope the players coming in are in soon as I reckon Colin has got rid of 500K in wages so that may go into the transfer pot {Ed020's Note - possibly being groomed for a coaching role, warnock has always liked him}

Believable16 Unbelievable3

02 May 2012 16:18:42
Personally, i would have kept Nunez and Clayton (although everyone over-rates him). I would have also have kept Bruce as a squad player

Believable16 Unbelievable5

Nunez too lightweight for what we need good decision

Agree0 Disagree0

Bruce should go so should Nunez i would keep Clayton though

Agree0 Disagree0

02 May 2012 16:16:59
All season we have said we want change, well by heck we got it today. Bold and brilliant in my eyes. We will get a small amount in from nominal transfers and save a lot on wages.

Next season cant come quick enough.

Believable17 Unbelievable4

Change is good...but we need good replacements...theres your problem!!

Agree0 Disagree0

Were are talking about Neil warnock here he will bring in quality. Also note clayton goes missing in games good when it's going well but not so good when's it's not. I recon we can get 2-2.5 m for him add to that money saved and money from previous transfers and wages you see us next year

Agree0 Disagree0

I agree with post and 2 replies, lets see who he brings in, might have had enquires for clayton already, so rather than cheaky late bits, let the bidding begin

Agree0 Disagree0

From what my friends have been saying, they are calace fans were getting ambrose he is on a free, top player arguably the best in championship.

Agree0 Disagree0

heard a rumour from a barnsley friend , jacob butterfield is leeds top target for cm and leeds have made move for 1.2m before newcastle do . he sits near all the scouts and has seen leeds scouts there all the time before he got injured this is why clayton is listed as there are similar sort of player but butterfield controls the game like kilkenny but can tackle and is good leader this would be great signing , also pearce , neil eardley and matt mills are targets we will recieve 2m for clayts which will buy butterfield and pearce

Believable14 Unbelievable7

Doubt we'll be spending 1.2m on all the summer signings combined. butterfield is out of contract in the summer though anyway, so could be a possibility

Hope Warnocks got some good players lined up cos things aren't looking too good :[ Clayton's played nearly every game this season and has stated that he wants to commit his future yet hes been transfer listed AND he's only 23?

Believable10 Unbelievable6

Yeah he did say he wanted to stay but what he didnt say was he wanted more money than snodgrass!, thats why leeds havent even bothered doing the paperwork to offer him anything

Agree0 Disagree0

Claytons agent been at work,Don't be shocked if he ends up playing with his mate next year.I heard he was close to going in jan ,Warnock obviously found out he has been hawked about to prem clubs

Agree0 Disagree0

Yes, Clayton's played nearly every game this season , and look what sort of season it's been. Not good enough, move on.

With it been LEEDS UTD,not alot
Clayton gotta be worth £2 million,Nunez 500k

Believable7 Unbelievable6

You must be joking 2 million with 12 months left nearer 1 million if were lucky and nunez will probs leave on a free.

Jamie Carragher to sign a 1 year contract! Watch this space, from a very very reliable source.

Believable7 Unbelievable30

Good pairing Carra and Pearce,Carra must be happy to be on 10k-15k a week ?

Agree0 Disagree0

Must be heinz or HP, lol. Can't really see it, he signed that ambassador player role that Gerrard has on his contract so they are well bedded into Liverpool and he's receiving a very good salary

Agree0 Disagree0

I post that about 6 weeks ago, i heard from quite a good source

11 leaving wow- rumours on clayton were right as well - Lonergan staying so that one was tosh.

Believable11 Unbelievable0

Is it now when KB orders all the young lads to be brought through instead of spending...lol

Agree0 Disagree0

Yeah, i personally thought Lonergan would have been on that list, however, i wouldnt be surprised to see Paddy Kenny turning up!

Agree0 Disagree0

02 May 2012 15:58:42
So the list is out. 'Head down, no brain' White to stay, 'fight for every ball, play the sensible pass' Clayton to go. I thought this guy knew what he was doing. Clearly not.

Believable9 Unbelievable15

Aidy white a done deal to leave - compo being worked out - Clayton collar up thinks hes worth more than he is - hesonly played one season at any level plus his loan ....
let him go if he's been a naughty greedy guts - better to come in like Ambrose

Agree0 Disagree0

It would appear from SSN that Warnock has reluctantly transfer listed Clayton to raise funds.

Agree0 Disagree0

I have to say that I think Clayton is good but there is better out there, White probably wants too much and will go anyway. My only doubt over these announcements is keeping Brown.

Agree0 Disagree0

To raise funds meaning KB wont give him owt...Snoddy will be next,Mark my words.

Agree0 Disagree0

I think clayton does tend to run around like a headless chicken sometimes but then again so does scott parker...i like the guy think he's good...shame he's going...hopefully there wil be a bidding war and we get bare $$$$ for him

Agree0 Disagree0

Oh and i hope white goes....rather have £1.5mil tbh!

Agree0 Disagree0

Now Simon, no point having a pop at our new gaffer, you're in the past now. Please just focus on Hudds

Agree0 Disagree0

Clayton's not anywhere near as good as he thinks he is. Personally will be very happy to see him move on.

Agree0 Disagree0

Claytons goin because he wants same wages as snoddy. come on lads is he really worth same as snoddy. if you think yes then you've not been to many games. he had some good moments but overall he shide away from tackles and played to many wayward balls. cash in and get clinigan or butterfield. mot4life

Agree0 Disagree0

finally barn doors gonna be going bye-bye, 50-50 whether to be shocked about clayton

Believable8 Unbelievable3

Only if some silly person will buy him! I certainly wouldn't

Agree0 Disagree0

02 May 2012 15:56:20
Gutted about Clayton, but from what it looks like he wanted 15k a week to stay. At the end of the day, if Warnock REALLY wanted him, he would have said that's fine, instead he doesn't see that it's worth it. From all the players that have gone/will be going, we've just got to look and think that Warnock is looking to replace every single position. I didn't want to see Clayton leave because I rate him highly, but I'm confident he will be replaced with similar/better quality.

Bring on the summer, I for one can't wait to see some fresh faces in the white shirt!

ELEVEN TOLD THEY CAN GO
02 May 2012
Players set to depart in summer re-building mission...

Leeds United manager Neil Warnock has placed six players on the transfer list and has told five more their contracts won't be renewed.
The boss met with all his playing staff individually on Wednesday when he informed them of his decisions, and a total of 11 senior players could now be set to leave the club this summer as the manager looks to re-build for the new season.
Midfielder Adam Clayton, strikers Ramon Nunez and Billy Paynter, defenders Paul Connolly and Andy O'Brien, and goalkeeper Paul Rachubka are the contracted players who have been placed on the transfer list.
In addition, Alex Bruce, Lloyd Sam, Mikael Forsell, Danny Webber and Maik Taylor are the players who have been informed that their contracts will not be renewed and are free to leave the club this summer.
Of the players to be placed on the transfer list Clayton has been the most prolific this season with the midfielder having made 46 appearances, scoring six goals, including the Goal of the Season winner, against Leicester in November.
Connolly has figured 30 times this term, but Nunez and Paynter have found their appearances limited. Rachubka has made seven appearances, and has spent much of the season on loan, first at Tranmere then at Leyton Orient.

O'Brien has made 38 appearances since joining the club, initially on loan in October 2010, but he has figured just six times this season.
Of the players not being offered new deals Bruce was the only one to start the final game of the season against Leicester City. Bruce, the longest serving of the out of contract players, has figured just seven times this term, and made 32 appearances during his two years with the club.
Webber, who joined on a short-term deal in February, and Forssell, who was signed until the end of the season last September, both came on as substitutes against Leicester.
Winger Sam, who was signed in the summer of 2010 and has made 39 appearances for the club, including just three starts this season, was loaned out to Notts County in March.
Goalkeeper Taylor, another short-term signing, was loaned to Millwall in March with a view to joining the London club on a longer-term basis.
In addition to the above players, Ben Parker and Mika Vayrynen had their contracts cancelled last month while loan man Darren O'Dea was told that the club would not be making his move permanent.

Nunez would be quality in League 1, not championship, a solid CB/RB would destroy him. way too predictable
Clayton wanted high wages, unprepared to pay. However is not definately going to leave (read Warnock's statement on OS)

Brown, Kisnorbo I agree need to leave. Pugh.. Not fast or attacking enough to play LM/W and not solid enough for LB. doesn't fit in at CM :/ really doesn't fit into our squad

Believable4 Unbelievable18

On LUFC homepage:

Eleven told they can go.

"Midfielder Adam Clayton, strikers Ramon Nunez and Billy Paynter, defenders Paul Connolly and Andy O'Brien, and goalkeeper Paul Rachubka are the contracted players who have been placed on the transfer list.

Clayton on transfer list!

For me this is good news. I know everyone was putting him in their team for next season, but he never impressed me. Massively overrated in my opinion, he had a good start to the season but was even more prone to disappear than Howson.

Very encouraged by this, we need far better players in midfield than Clayton if we are serious about going up and I'm glad NW agrees.

Thank you and goodbye.

Believable11 Unbelievable11

Completely agree, very often a passenger in midfield with little tenacity and drive - wouldnt be missed. Need someone with steel, energy and an eye for a goal..not asking for much but Clayton doesn't have this.

Agree0 Disagree0

The maqn has got no pace good player but to lazy in my eyes

Scottish are all the same haha, they will all leave and go to these other clubs for money and when they come back down and we go up will all be wanting to come back and telling the media how much they loved there time at leeds. is going to norwich, reading, leicester etc really a step up nowadays?

Agree0 Disagree0

Mccormack was best player this season .its not his job to get back , if we want promotion we need to keep him.hes got qualities that no1 else has in our team and you think we should sell him.

Agree0 Disagree0

It wasn't becchio's job to get back but he still got back 50-60% of the time. so what makes maccer so speacial and don't say he gets 19 goals becose so does becchio.

Agree0 Disagree0

Demanded 15k wages? i thought we offered him the contract?

Why is everyone going mad over this pearce fella he got relegated from the league we are desperate to get out of ,,,, you do the maths MOT ! {Ed020's Note - one man can't control how a whole team plays, he's been voted player of the year at pompey 2 years in a row, he's pretty decent}

Believable10 Unbelievable8

They only went down cos they had 10 point taken from them plus pompy let in less goals then us so it shows they had a ok defence..... He is a good player and at that price he is a steal

Does any body else think that if we were offered a decent fee for snodders(£4million plus) we should sell?

Hes good, but for prices like that we could get 4-5 proven players MOT

Believable15 Unbelievable5

Needs to be at least 5 mil in my opinion and thats too little really

According to Danny Webbers twitter he's the 1st on to go today. Anyone know when the rest of the list is out?

Believable14 Unbelievable1

I think that NW is going on Yorkshire radio at 5.30 to announce who is to leave

Agree0 Disagree0

Thats a real shame about Danny if its true. He would be a great utility player and impact sub plays left wing right wing and striker.

Agree0 Disagree0

Its only a shame if we don't get someone in who is better!

Agree0 Disagree0

Simply not good enough! Sure Neil's got someone better lined up!

Agree0 Disagree0

Webber had good attacking quality's but like Nunez he has no defensive quality so had to go and i can see nunez next to leave aswell

Agree0 Disagree0

Has pace and can dribble, but he gets to the penalty area and either does an awful shot or an awful pass. did his job though, but change is needed

I live and work in southampton, and a guy I work with knows jason pierce quite well.
Apparently he has been told we will go for Ward from pompey, and Green in midfield.and do everything we can to hold on to Snodgrass....

Believable13 Unbelievable12

If the team is anything like that, we will walk the league.

Agree0 Disagree0

Young players like gimpel will be off out on loan . warnock wants promotion and theres no room for mistakes so the youth players will have to wait for there chance to play for leeds

Agree0 Disagree0

I Like poleon and lenighan delighted there getting contracts they are seriously talented players Mills 2m, Bertrand 1m, Lansbury 1m, Pearce 500k, Anderson Free, Beckford 1m Goodwillie 1.5m Freeman 500k Clingan Free

O'Dea not signing as Warnock feels he can do better. interestingly this was written in the same article "Warnock gave some idea of his new direction yesterday when he signed Portsmouth centre-half Jason Pearce, 24, for around £500,000." so looks like this is a done deal. Source Sun
here is the link, read for yourself.

lets face facts,we(mot) have all good intentions, but does bates? sitting in the background in monaco, hoping to build ateam that will probably cost next to nothing,so it doesnt effect his life style and his retirement.iam sorry, but he has been the saviour of leeds cant take that away from him,but we need drive ambition and someone who is switched on to the fact that this club of ours, yes the ones that have supported it through thick and thin ,we deserve the next stage,to get back where we should have been at least 5 years ago.So no matter what happens today.there needs to be a change at the top.Youve been great mr bates, but let us be released from the bates enterprise control. Then you can enjoy your retirement and be a honoury member.

Believable3 Unbelievable11

I agreepartly with this. I am not a Bates lover or hater before anyone starts. I think all the Bates out protests has served no purpose and if someone wanted to buy the club who I trusted would possibly voice my opinion but the fact is nobody wants to buy the club so we have to get on with it. Also the people saying I aint paying this price for a 2nd division season ticket (£700 app) are the same people asking an old man to dig deep in his pocket and spend millions to get us up for a club they say he has no affinity. If I was him why would I spend money? I only spend it because I support the club. People need to realise boards arent overturned these days as large amounts of money is needed to do it and no matter what people think Bates owns our club. We are better letting him build the ground and the value of the club as a going assett and then he will go. Before you start screaming at me this doesnt mean we cant get promotion whilst this is happening but we need our manager to be shrude which I believe he is.

Agree0 Disagree0

How much the team costs doesnt affect his lifestyle cos the transfer budget has to be within the clubs own means. the money spent on players is spent by LUFC and not Ken Bates.

EXCLUSIVE

Andy Lonergan is expected to be leaving the club in the summer due to him directing explicit language towards Chairman Ken Bates in a one on one meeting two weeks ago.

The fact that Warnock only uses his number one keeper has kept him at the club but news coming out of ER is that he will be leaving in the summer.

Retained list is expected to be announced in a press conference between 2pm and 3pm this afternoon.

Jason Pearce is also expected to sign in the next 7 days with the deal all but agreed. Norwich have accepted defeat in an attempt to lure the Pompey CB to Carrow Road after Neil Warnock swooped in at the right time.

El Hadji Diouf will NOT be coming to Elland Road with Neil Warnock confirming to my source that he has and will not make any official approach.

Believable16 Unbelievable5

I would rather believe this banter than the other 2 that posted that pearce was about to be hijacked by Norwich. Hope your right with Diouf too. Think there is much better players plus not trouble causes too.

Agree0 Disagree0

Ive heard list will be reales at 4pm, no press conference tho!

Agree0 Disagree0

I thought diouf would be good but seen dean saunders clip about him and he said nice lad but found him a handfull. so lets not go down that road now. mot4life

Pearce move to fall through. The clubs have agreed a fee and the player is keen to come to Leeds, but there is now interest from Premiership clubs and they will offer both Pompey and the player more money. Pearce likely to be a Norwich player by the end of the week.

Believable6 Unbelievable18

I hope this is a joke, I have no idea how transfer negotiations work but you would think if in theory you agree terms you cant then go a say youve had a higher bidder its not like an auction. I hope players realise how they can come to leeds an become heros, rather than warming those fancy seats a Prem grounds. I suppose money does talk nowadays.

Agree0 Disagree0

Where is your source? as yep reported just 1 hour ago deal was done.

Agree0 Disagree0

If he turns us down then his heart wasn't in it. so in my book we don't want him them because aren't we trying to get rid of players who's hearts were not in it. let him be a bench warmer. mot4life

Agree0 Disagree0

Just looked all over sky sports and no news of this at all anywhere so what is your source or are you just a Norwich fan with no rumours of ya own so have to look at others teams

Agree0 Disagree0

Get your facts right you bell end. pearce has agreed a deal to sign for leeds. we have agreed a fee of 260k with pompey and we are just waiting clearance from the administrators before the deal goes through early next week! FACT

Agree0 Disagree0

Norwich are set to miss out on Portsmouth defender Jason Pearce as Leeds expect to tie up a deal with the south coast club this week.

Posted on Club Call!

Agree0 Disagree0

Why would they offer Pompey more money? Pearce is a free agent as far as I know and the agreement is between him and LUFC. Pompey do not enter the equation.

Leeds fans - you're not going to like this one at all - as a Leeds fan nor do I - apparently Norwich are in the process of hijacking our bid for Jason Pearce!

Believable5 Unbelievable22

Shock, norwich after one of our players or a player we are after, come on delia play the game and think for yourselves

Agree0 Disagree0

If premiership football is on offer to him then its a no brainer.

Agree0 Disagree0

Read the yorkshire evening post? pearce to be signed in the next few days!

Agree0 Disagree0

No chance, if Norwich hijacked this deal Ken and Neil would take huge offence and any deal or future deal involving Snodgrass would be hugely off the table, they had a bid turned down and if he does not accept a new deal im sure would be back in.

Agree0 Disagree0

Why would Pearse want to join a team that will be fighting relegation next season when he can join a team that will be fighting for promotion. Norwich are a small club...Leeds top 5 club in the country. No brainer for him

Agree0 Disagree0

Source? says on websites and yorkshire evening post deal is agreed and he will be a Leeds player next week...

the rest are gone

Believable2 Unbelievable31

Well Webber had tweeted his goodbyes. You're right about one thing though, that is an exclusive list, so exclusive NW doesn't even have it!

Agree0 Disagree0

Why would we keep Kisnorbo , he was past it last year and was only kept through sentiment. He is too injury prone now. Surely we will keep Bruce over him. White will leave. Snoddy will be dependant on whether he wants to buckle down in his last year and go with gratitude like Kilkenny , Johnson and Beckford did or whether he wants to sulk. If Snoddy cant stay then that may open the door to Sam , Webber and Nunez although I cant see both being kept as cover. McCormack will depend on whether he is also going to sulk like he did on staurday, presumably because he isnt going to be used as often according to NW. I think he may keep Paynter. Plus 5 additions along with the kids

Agree0 Disagree0

What a load of bobbins. Lloyd Sam? Kisnorbo? Webber! get back to your homework

Agree0 Disagree0

Why are people bothering to try and tell people 'official' retain lists when the real list will be told later today? just wait a few hours instead of making yourself look like a silly sasauge.

I carn't believe you would think we would keep connelly, he hasn't got a clue how to defend and cost us a few games. mot4life

Connolly will probably stay as hes our only real rb dont think we will be buying 2 rb's this summer unless we are going to use lees as a sub rb

Agree0 Disagree0

Cant see rogers going as he looked class in the games hes played ,he just needs conditioning ,its not really his fault he fractured his ankle
