Hulse not in qpr squad. Could be a good addition to strengthen strike force. Would surely come back as well

Believable8 Unbelievable22

Yeah, lets keep signing strikers when were crying out for defenders, our strike force is as good as any,our defence as poor as any,and has been for years.

Agree0 Disagree0

We need defenders not stikers...
also Hulse is s**t

Agree0 Disagree0

I agree mate, defence is absolutely shambolic, 4get strikers and let get 2 decent centre backs and we'll finish proudly in the table

Agree0 Disagree0

I agree hulse is sub standard,a very lazy uneffective striker for me!

Agree0 Disagree0

Yeah, never rated Hulse. Danny Pugh was Ok for us at this level and has been a good squad player for Stoke. Better option than Brown for me.

Agree0 Disagree0

When we had Hulse we always looked like scoring and he whebn he was in the opposition he always looked like scoring against us so yes I'd have him back. Danny Pugh? Are you having a laugh?

Agree0 Disagree0

We don't need a striker we a midfielder and a defender, and Danny Pugh can do both well at this level.

Leeds United have Enquired to sign out of favor Danny Rose on a Season long loan from Tottenahm.Leeds are looking to strengthen there defencive options by signing him.Leeds have also enquired to sign Barry Bannan again on a 3 mounth Loan deal.

Believable11 Unbelievable21

Danny rose has been in Leeds unexpectedly today.

Agree0 Disagree0

How is signing rose going to benefit us defensively?...hes a left winger/ attacking midfielder

Agree0 Disagree0

He also played plenty games at back end of last season for spurs at left back...

Agree0 Disagree0

Gwt with news - think we lost a left winger this week - Rose not that familiar with his ability since he left us as a kid

Agree0 Disagree0

Anyone that rekons this is a questionable potential signing needs to have a word with theselves. he isnt defensive bit he's a nore than capable replacement for Gradel. Some fans are never pleased. MOT, WGSYW.

Agree0 Disagree0

Rose has been indeed playing left-back at Spurs, and very well mind you. No way Redknapp is letting him go. He's pretty much the only they have for Ekotto.

Agree0 Disagree0

Barry Bannan is another lightweight midfielder who does nothing when defending we need a strong holding player - have done for 2 seasons now.

Agree0 Disagree0

Bannan wont come back after him not getting played last time and danny rose is s**te and he has done the dirty on leeds before so why would we want him back

Agree0 Disagree0

To the last poster, because he's a good player? If we got offered Fabio from
Scum I'd snap their hand off, it's not about feelings sometimes, it's about what's best for the team.

ryan bertrand not included in chelski 22 man UCL squad. chances of him coming on loan to leeds increase

Believable18 Unbelievable17

He's under 21 so doesn't have to be named in the 25 man squad

Agree0 Disagree0

Forest are interested in him aswell. So looks like another one passes by. Thanks Ken, your wallet is tighter than a laggy band round an elephant!!

£38 to sit in the upper tier of the east stand! Bates is taking the piss out of all of us. We live in Leeds not Chelsea. He disgusts me that man

Believable37 Unbelievable12

You could always do what every one should do sit down the pub and not give bates any more money until he opens his wallet

Agree0 Disagree0

Completely argree, yes it's against Man U but it's the 3rd round of the Carling cup and we are a Championship club. Appalling price which I am loath to pay but I know I will end up paying it for the love of the badge.

Agree0 Disagree0

I think my hate for bates well out weighs my love of Leeds and love of anything at all

Agree0 Disagree0

Call me old fashioned but if the east stand upper is too expensive do something radical and sit in another part of the ground.

Agree0 Disagree0

Well i WAS a season ticket holder for 30 yrs and went home and away following Leeds everywhere but enough is enough, i recall Bates having a go at the fans last year in the programme when he put the ticket prices up AGAIN saying "if fans want the best players at Leeds we must increase the match day ticket prices. So with Leeds being in the top 6 of the highest prices for tickets just how much has Old gray beard invested in the "best players" ??? exactly he takes the piss out of us every single season...... wise up lds n lasses stop lining kens pockets

Agree0 Disagree0

To the last poster who said: ' . . . .wise up lads and lasses and stop linning Bates' pockets'. Its asif u think he pockets £38 pound a time LOL. Geniusly short sighted . . . everyone stop supporting your team and the hundreds of staff trying to make us a club and earning a wage. MOT WGSYW.

Agree0 Disagree0

LMAO, been supporting Leeds home and away for 30 years, a likely story i'm sure (sarcasm much). If it were true i think ure heart would rule over ure head after all these years of supporting our beloved whites, a fan should age like a good wine, otherwise what was the point. And anyways, how many thousands of pounds have you spent so far on leeds, Why stop now. IMO ure talking out of the wrong hole.

Agree0 Disagree0

I totally agree ,he,s not a footy fan he,s a business man ....he has short arms and deep pockets when it comes to buying players ...grayson must be wishing he,d piss off ...has the money to build new corporate boxes in the east stand etc and put up ticket prices when its a big game ....bates go we do,nt need someone who does,nt have the interests of the club at heart ....the players and the fans don,t deserve it or you .....

Agree0 Disagree0

If you were a proper fan you'd have a season ticket in the cheaper Gelderd End

Agree0 Disagree0

Ah the good old "proper fan" post! Yea knew there would some old school stalwart out there who would claim to be the biggest, bestest fan ever that never moans, spends a fortune and believes that Leeds is life and if you can't manage a game for any reason then your not a proper fan. Grow up!

By the way, I have a season ticket in the gelderd end. I was merely pointing out the extortionate price of east upper tickets for those that can't afford £600 for s season ticket. Believe it or Not there are people in Leeds that want to support Leeds, but can't afford it. Does this make them not "proper fans."

Agree0 Disagree0

Mmm ok so 1st point why is it a likely story that i followed Leeds home and away for 30 yrs?? 2nd point what an utter load of nonsensical bulls**t you posted. Yes i've spent thousands i even deferred on my mortgage for 1 months to help finance the building of the east stand through the bond scheme but i have some amazing memories good and bad so dont tell me I talk through the wrong hole. As for the wine crap fact is i cant afford to go these days and with the way Bates shafts the fans is poor.If you think he has Leeds best interest at heart you're as deluded as your post.......

Agree0 Disagree0

I remember paying £50 for the fa cup 3rd round at old trafford a couple of years ago and we were league one. Worth every penny!

Agree0 Disagree0

To the person who wrote 'I think my hate for bates well out weighs my love of Leeds and love of anything at all'...If hating KB means MORE to you than loving Leeds please feel free to **** off and support someone else! Also I'm sure your friends and family would be deeply touched by the sentiment

Simon Grayson is in talks to bring Sol Campbell to the club, he feels his experience could be good for the club and he would be available on a free after being released by Newcastle. MOT.

Believable10 Unbelievable39

In a player coaching role yes please - but too tired in the legs now for top level games surely

Agree0 Disagree0

Is this the same Sol Campbell who couldnt hack it at Notts County?

Agree0 Disagree0

What's the point. He isn't good enough for championship anymore. It would be worse than having OB at the back!

Agree0 Disagree0

Sol scored a great goal in a world cup once.. ken bates is a legend

Agree0 Disagree0

Why? Don't they give out bus passes in the North East? He doesn't need to come to West Yorkshire for one of those.

Wigan to bid for Leeds youngster Zac Thompson in January after being rejected over a move this summer as the former Everton trainee had only recently signed a pro deal. The deal may tempt young Thompson if Leeds don't make a promotion push as the chance to play premiership football in is home town could prove too good to turn down.

Believable3 Unbelievable37

Billinge, Merseyside is Thompson's place of birth, besides he has played 3 games for the first team, why would Wigan want to buy him? More likely Clayton they would bid for

Agree0 Disagree0

Billinge is pretty much in wigan and it is where the maternity unit of wigan hospital used to be, so this guy could be right in saying wigan is Thompsons home town but that still doesnt give the rumour any legs

Agree0 Disagree0

Im pretty sure Sanchez Watt is coming on loan:
1. He isnt in the main 20 man list on Arsenal OS
2. (Bareing in mind leeds Policy on Twitter) Sanchez Watt hasn't been on his twitter account since 30 Aug, wereas up to then the guy was addicted!, on it nearly every day.

Expect him to be announced as laonee until January in next few days with a view to a permanent move in Jan.

Believable18 Unbelievable18

He's not the cleverest of Twitter users - all he use to tweet was 'you Watt you Watt' and that he was off round to his sisters...kind of guy you want pulling for Leeds?

Agree0 Disagree0

Not good enough but when has that stopped us signing anyone

Agree0 Disagree0

Not good enough? so he isnt better than lloyd Sam? (i.e. competition for Nunez). Only reason he couldnt get into squad last time was he had Gradel in front of him after his injury.

Agree0 Disagree0

On past performances he is nowhere near as good as Sam; he may improve but at present does not merit signing him.

Agree0 Disagree0

He dose not need to be in there 25man squad as he is under 21 any player under that age can play weather or not they are named in the 25 man team. Yes he was not that cracking last season but I think given time to play a few games I a Row would help him find his feet he is not a player to change a game off the bench but he would be good cover for the wings.

Agree0 Disagree0

Can't be signing, hes just been on twitter to say hes off to nandos in Stratford! Give us a break!

News is we wont be offering a contract to Forssell, Dont know why but is not happening.

Believable18 Unbelievable9

No offer to Forsell because we WONT pay his wages!! Are you really surprised. Face facts the club is a laughing stock and in complete free fall

Agree0 Disagree0

Free fall my arse,FFS,watch us climb the league when all our players are fit and 2 or 3 additions, its only bad luck coupled with pathetic refereeing decisions thats stopped us winning at least 2 more games, our luck will change, have a bit of faith.

Agree0 Disagree0

RUMOUR SITE THOUGHT I WOULD REMIND YOU to the one who said we are in free fall

Agree0 Disagree0

We didn't offer Forsell a contract because he is C**P. Or do you think we should sign anyone with a pulse!

Agree0 Disagree0

Good too old too slow! we need additions at the back we can score, its keeping clean sheets thats the prob need a powerful cb and a lb on loan next wk. ktf boys we'll climb this lge no worries ere...

Agree0 Disagree0

Haha if you think forssell is crap then you don't no much bout players do you. He is better than what we have got and his pedigree would help us alot the championship can help players get back to there best.

Agree0 Disagree0

He's getting on, injury prone, not been playing games, released by his club in Germany, not exactly a gilt edged prospect, SG knows his stuff, working on a tight budget he would rather wait until the loan window opens and see what's about, don't be surprised if Mr Forssell makes an appearance later in the season.

Agree0 Disagree0

We didn't sign him because he dared to ask to be paid to play ! If he isn't better than Paynter, I will eat my shorts !

Agree0 Disagree0

With Keogh in and Beccio coming back, Mccormack finding his goal scoring touch plus Payner turning down chance to join Brighton do we really need a 30 yr striker on the books?

Agree0 Disagree0

We got £1.75m for max, what the hell.

Believable10 Unbelievable11

We got £2.5m after Agent Fee's / League Fee's and Leicesters sell on clause

Agree0 Disagree0

I know but he was in the last year of his contract and we all know that means u'll prob get a third of what u would if he had say two or three years left. At least Bates has realised he needed to spill the beans on this. MOT

Agree0 Disagree0

Thats after we gave leicester their 17.5% to help with their financial difficulties.

Agree0 Disagree0

Nett we got 1.75 the amount if you read bates statement is closer to £2.2M but once the FA & Leicester city get their cut - as well as the HMRC you are left with £1.75M

Agree0 Disagree0

And we paid £300k i believe didn't we? profit. No matter the lad could be liability you have to agree, nearly cost us promotion back to the championship with a stupid sending off and there has been a couple more since then!

Agree0 Disagree0

No thats what we have ended up with, due to the 17.5% sell on fee to Leicester and a tax levi to the football league.

Agree0 Disagree0

Thats after the 17.5% we owed svens lot and the 5% owed to the football league. around 2.2m we got for him, still a shocking fee though.

Agree0 Disagree0

Did any of you really, heart-of-hearts, think we'd got a decent fee?

The word "joke" is often used on this forum, but I'm afraid our name is now being sullied by the current leadership regieme at Elland Road - and unfortunately, it shows no sign of abaiting. Promotion on the cheap? Maybe once from L1 to Championship, but it just isn't going to happen this time around.

Agree0 Disagree0

Original poster here, I know about all the % fees so I meant we actually keep £1.75m, tbh I was hoping for atleast £2m given all the talk about West Ham having to triple their offer, then again, he did hand in a transfer request, so what can you do!

Agree0 Disagree0

I could be wrong but doesn't it say we get £1.75m this year? Reading between the lines a little could there be more payable in stages? Any thoughts?

Agree0 Disagree0

Bates again has been very cute with his wording yes he said 1.75 mill this year, this makes me think they'll be add ons i.e doing well in lge europe etc, plus a sell on clause poss like leics had maybe 20-25 % thoughts

Agree0 Disagree0

Good shout from poster above, didn't think about that

leeds set to sign wayne bridge, david wheater, and
danny rose on loan next week, also in talks with james mcfadden but he also has a offer to return to everton

Believable16 Unbelievable14

Yer we wish, this is a pipe dream! Whats your source!

Agree0 Disagree0

What goes through Leeds fans heads.
living in the past!

Agree0 Disagree0

This lot are miles out of LUFC league due to salary demands. Might get Wilson from Liverpool (if he's made available) otherwise it will be bargain basement leftovers again.

Agree0 Disagree0

Would be nice, but think you are dreaming mate - hope you prove me wrong!

Agree0 Disagree0

I would be really happy to get any of the first three and the fourth is worth a go, So.......... guess non of them will happen

Agree0 Disagree0

Souce is sue smith, leeds ladies, shes works for club, you will see bridge will be left outta citys 25, wheater were paying 50% wage and rose back to leeds

mcfadden is gonna be harder granted

Agree0 Disagree0

What Rubbish !
LEEDS will not sign ANYONE whilst Bates is in control, LOANS and FREES are the best we can expect and at best they will be old F@RTS and Journeymen NOT Quality.... Forget the Cr@p that Bates saved LUFC he does not have his heart in Leeds United and he will bleed the club dry.

Agree0 Disagree0

Wont sign bridge he's included in ucl squad but not fapl squad list so city must want him as back up...

Agree0 Disagree0

Sue Smith is a friend of mine and the last I heard was playing for Lincoln. Also having known sue for many years would be surprised if she engaged in 'loose talk'. I thus do not expect any of the above being signed or indeed anyone else for that matter. Relegation battle looms!

Agree0 Disagree0

Leeds have to make a move for Onuoha hes not been given a city squad number and would be brilliant in the championship. Use some of the "pot" Bates keeps mentioning and get him in

Believable15 Unbelievable9

He will go to Bolton, Blackburn, Everton or maybe Newcastle - Not Leeds

Agree0 Disagree0

He cant go to a prem club, once the 25 man squads are picked no one can join unless given special dispensation i.e. emergancy keeper, until jan.

Agree0 Disagree0

Good shout but expect someone with more ambition to get in above our offer

Agree0 Disagree0

No chance. Too high profile for a struggling championship team. Everyone get real. We are not an attractive proposition these days.

Agree0 Disagree0

Leeds have contacted Philipp Degen's agent, but he's unwilling to do a trial, with interest from QPR and Bundesliga newcomers Augsburg.

Not sure whether I'd offer the lad a contract without a trial first, but we really are in need of a RB. :/

Believable4 Unbelievable10

In need of a right back? Surely you mean left back? Tom lees has performed well enough at rb since been given his chance.

Agree0 Disagree0

Would much rather see Lees at his favoured CB position, myself. Not to say that he hasn't done good job as a full-back, but he is indeed a centre-back by trade. And both Kis/O'Brien struggling with fitness (and pace!), Lees deserves a shot there imo.

All this obviously, if we manage to get Degen on trial and he does well.

Swansea winger David Cotterill will join Leeds on loan once the window opens he has been frozen out at Swansea and is desperate to get some playing time to regain his place in the welsh side

Believable5 Unbelievable14

Not really what we need - someone who's ultimate aim is to go back home and play. One eye always on Swansea, not fully concentrating on Leeds. Same goes for any short-term loanee.

Agree0 Disagree0

02 Sep 2011 07:03:01
Leeds missed out on signing Bentley, he was offered more money at West Ham. Leeds will settle for a handful of loan signings next week. The current wage structure is seriously damaging our ambitions. We should have offered Max more money to stay, instead we waste thousands on agents fees to bring in has-beens who make little impact at the club.

Believable14 Unbelievable9

No, all of our targets either stayed or went to Premier League clubs. David went to a Championship club so we didn't miss out on him

Agree0 Disagree0

It was not a question of money, its a case of Max wanting a return to France for bothfootball and family reasons,SG had no option but sell him,or would you want an unhappy player who would have left for nowt, yet again,a good win in our next game and all will be well again.....till we lose again.

Agree0 Disagree0

One as KB has confirmed we are in the top 6 in regards to our wage structure, and as we have a smaller squad than those it indicates we pay well.

Two we pay high agents fee's as then the agent wants the player to stay or sign for our club, agents we have a good relationship with, max's and luciano's who get us more players like them as hidden gems are paid higher to keep them coming, you cannot criticise leeds for this.

Agree0 Disagree0
