Why is everyone so confident we are going to sign anyone good. Grayson failed last summer and he should have made sure we got the deals done and dusted early this time, but again, he hasnt. I hope i am eating my words tomorrow but this all feels like deja vu to me
In fairness, he sealed up Pugh straight away and we've signed that American winger, and Delph on loan.
We may not have got the player we all think will make the difference (whoever that may be) but he has done some deals.
I'm more concerned that we havent got rid of players like Rachubka, O'brien etc. Get em off the wage bill for gods sake!

before the first. Only loans so far,. I am discounting Pugh and Rogers because the former was already a regular and Robbie didnt require a fee.Now we have Mark Wilson(probably) who has a lot in common with Beb Parker. He is a full back who is injury prone. Not very exciting so far. Having said that

First poster - so you'd rather be held to ransom by Bates while he ruins the club? Protests in the ground have to happen to show him we want him out. Its his own fault, and it needn't be like this - all he has to do is open up some sort of discussion with the fans but he's not interested.
Firstposter here. Dont want to be held to ransom by KB but getting to the facts seems impossible. On the one hand he appeared to be someone who never had a good word to say about Leeds but got us out of a mess. Prior to him we had a succession of individuals and groups in the club who dragged us down. Bates did spend money at first and we have a large squad but whichis unbalanced and average with a wage bill that should be cut. A succession of managers have created that. Now we are looking for players who can take us to the next level up. Who are they? Below average premiership players on high wages or players from lower divisions wanting to step up? We never know how good they are until they try. Always a risk. SG hasn't been brilliant in that respect and coming to Leeds is a daunting for any player. Why. We often write them off before the even play and/or they are not outstanding from the start. So, with a wage structure that is rigid, a now very cautious(tight?) chairman and fans who can get on a players back if they struggle a bit. Where would you prefer prefer to play? Not Leeds unless you are a supporter or not that great or are wanting to kick start your career or finish one . Therefore not enough information for 'Bates out' chants both home and away and I go to both. If KB goes we might get other Ridsdale or some chicken farmers who know nothing about Leeds or Football. Follow the team. I think KB knows what the fans think already.

Well, we were promised 'exciting signings' and we got, er, Mark Wilson, on loan until the end of the season from Celtic. Not a regular up there at the moment, long term injured, and yet another loan. Eddie Gray has made the following point in the Y.E.P.-

Would have been worth a punt , never too old at 27 ! Scores goals out of nothing and runs the line well, clever player in my opinion. You dont have to be an International to be good, lets face a lot of these lower league players get forced out of the Chelseas and Arsenals of this world who sign players from overseas. Took his goal well against Hull at the weekend and could easily make the step up, I do wonder what these scouts do at times, I was doing some for Leeds but gave up because the management team above wouldnt know a good player if he was right in front of them , joke !!

Under the Wikipedia entry for Ryan Bertrand when yo type his name in Google it says he is at Leeds. These snippets aren't updated immediately but only when Google "crawls" a site, which I guess means it was put on at least 24 hours ago, maybe 48, which in turn means it probably isn't true (or at least it wasn't when it was put on)

Looks like Leeds could sign Alan Smith for free in the summer. Grayson on OS said the move was talked about more in the summer and the decision was made purely on footballing reasons, this to me means that money does not seem to be a barrier. Looks like he could return if his spell at MK Dons goes well.
