Best thing iv heard in ages gradels going nowhere. Just seen him in Asda at killingbeck, what a guy he is any other football would of just ignored me, but when I asked him what's happening he said I'm staying, iv just bought a new house in the new estate behind Asda.

100% true seriously

Believable18 Unbelievable8

This in my opinion isn't rubbish. Seen him loads around that area although he bought that house months ago.

Agree0 Disagree0

Totally agree that he's a great guy (but surprisingly short). I met him at this year's LUDO xmas dinner.... in March. That's Leeds for ya :0)

Agree0 Disagree0

Though I cant give an adress, it seems to be common knowledge that Max lives in this area and indeed he does. He lives next door to my mate, who says that Max is a top bloke, genuine and friendly. More important he says Max loves the club and owes them big time for not casting him out after getting sent off in the final home game in league one but rather he wants to repay that faith.

Agree0 Disagree0

Why the hell would a footballer want to live around there?

Agree0 Disagree0

Don't see why he'd wanna live in Seacroft but woop woop I live round the corner from Maximillus Gradel :P

Agree0 Disagree0

Especially when he lives in a city centre apartment ha ha {Ed015's Note - i usedto work in leeds doing door to door, seriously why would anyone want to live in seacroft }

Agree0 Disagree0

He lives on Whitehall Road in a block of flats - loads of live in there inc Lloyd Sam and Watt was there too. I see them go training every morning

Agree0 Disagree0

The new estate behind Asda are very nice houses. Becchio recently live there as I lived round the corner from him. And plus it ain't seacroft. What's wrong with seacroft anyway LUFC {Ed015's Note - crnt stand that place although a ex of mine does live up there so that may have something to do with it lol, could be worse, could be chapletown}

Any ideas what the press conference at Elland Road is about tomorrow Ed? New kit/sponsor or new player(s)? {Ed015's Note - not heard anything}

Believable4 Unbelievable3

Its Grayson usual interview theirs nothing more too it, stop looking or things that arent there. If something was about to come out Bates would have hinted at the fact in his weekly interview, which he hasnt.

Agree0 Disagree0

Its probably to announce the sale of Max Gradel, Robert Snodgrass, Jonny Howson and Luciano Becchio. With all proceeds going in Pappa Smurfs pocket.

Agree0 Disagree0

Probably knowing Uncle ken, he'd sell anything that wasnt nailed to the floor, no actually he would and the surrounding areas :D

Apparntley Leeds are to offer Snodders an improved contract to warn off other clubs. hope the same happens with Gradel. I personally think Gradel is a better player than Snodgrass

Source: /www.leedsunited-mad.co.uk

Believable16 Unbelievable1

I hope this is true, we need to keep them in order to progess.

Agree0 Disagree0

I agree I think gradle is better than snods. Gradle stepped up alot in championship and snods at time looked too tierd

As Paul Rachubka is wearing the #12 shorts in the training pics, it means Grayson is planning the signing of a #1 keeper. Maybe Alex smithies/Fraser Forster - and if we fail to sign them, Marcus Hahnemann

Believable12 Unbelievable3

I hope this is the case. Then again they said paynter wasnt a first singing and he ended up being.

Agree0 Disagree0

Jerzy dudek reported yesterday in one national and another today

Agree0 Disagree0

The squad numbers have not been allocated yet, so the numbers on players shorts are irrelavent and doesn't mean anything

Agree0 Disagree0

Grayson has already said he will be bringing in another keeper/keepers ...with only having paul and the young kid coming through the ranks this is obvious

Ed curious question do you know what kind of wages Leeds offer? And who is our highest wage earner? I heard it was between 5-15k a week

What is the championship average wage?

Cheers {Ed015's Note - not sure myself}

Believable1 Unbelievable4

Leeds wage bill was over 6million last year so I'd say they is a few players or was a few players on more than and 15k.

Agree0 Disagree0

McCartney was getting close to 30K a week when on loan, O'Brien is the highest paid player at the club thought to be on around 15 followed by Becchio and Howson who are around 12K, Gradel and Snoddy will get around 15K if they sign new deals.

15K is around our ceiling though, which isn't great for this level but still better than alot of others

Agree0 Disagree0

I was led to believ that kasper was the highest earner on 12 000, not too sure who is behind him and in what order regarding the sum of money

Agree0 Disagree0

30 Jun 2011 21:24:24
Ed have snoddy or gradel been offered new contracts to your knowledge? Do you think we will offer them new contracts? {Ed015's Note - we are offering them one, not done just yet tho}

Best sight i have seen all day paul rachubka wearing shorts numbered 12 and not 1.

Believable15 Unbelievable1

The guy was there best player a season ago give him a break.why are u so called fans so pessimistic we've been in the dark for the last 3 years were finally gettin back to were we belong, it's not gona happen over night like u want it toHk

Agree0 Disagree0

Its not that I dont like him I think he is a decent keeper but him wearing 12 implies that grayson thinks he can get a better keeper for the 1 shirt and that can only be gd for the club.

Agree0 Disagree0

To reply number one its not gunna happen at all if we keep selling up and coming players for £1 mil and buying s**te that let in 6 goals in 2 games {Ed015's Note - kasper let 6 in at preston..... }

Reckon over the next few weeks we could be signing a few players.
Looking out for the likes of Jack Cork, Alex Smithies, Lee Bowyer, Alan Smith, Jonny Woodgate, Sean St Ledger, Michael Brown, Max Kruse, Nigel Reo Coker, Stuart Parnaby and Marcus Hahnemann, all potentials and all available. I would expect the Montgomery/Paynter deal to be done soon as well, probably tomorrow since it is the start of the transfer window. {Ed015's Note - wont be jack cork, please check current transfers }

Believable7 Unbelievable3

You do realise reo cocker left villa cos he wanted 60k a week so why would he come to Leeds to be on 15k

To the person who said that Akinfenwa had joined Leeds, when he re-signed for Northampton on 25th May. His year at Gillingham was not unsucessful. He had a good year with us, but wanted to move nearer his Northampton home, so rejoining the cobblers wasnt a hard option

Mark, Gillingham Fan

Believable3 Unbelievable5

Akinfenwa, seriously, he is hardly a league 2 player never mind a championship player - I mean, have you seen the size of he guy

Believable9 Unbelievable5

Yes, it does say that david jones of wolves as joined leeds united on a 3 year deal. {Ed015's Note - i mean its wikipedia. anyone can edit it, i havent heard anything from any other sources/}

This signing makes sense and I would be happy to see him join the club. Left sided central midfield player who can pick a pass and chips in with 5 to10 goals a season {Ed017's Note -

i sense trouble at elland road? all the big clubs in the championship are signing players every day, i think leeds will again become a selling club(snodgrass, gradel) grayson will try his luck with what he has {Ed015's Note - He has to buy before he sells, Snodgrass and Gradel will be offered new contracts asap}

What I fear is that Alan Smith will be unveiled to cover up the sale of Snodgrass or Gradel.
What I know is that the Leeds squad began training today without a first-choice goalkeeper, a first-choice centre back, a first-choice left back and two first-choice midfielders. In other words, they are training with half the team they hope to put out on the first day of the season. No point in tactical discussions, therefore
Our esteemed editor tells us that there is still time, but lots of players have already chosen their new clubs and are out of reach of Leeds. Are we going to have a flood of loan players who have no long-term allegiance to the club?
Those who bank on Kisnorbo saving the defence are building an awful lot on nostalgia; it was a very serious injury; Kisnorbo hasn't player competitively for over a year. No-one (including the manager) has any idea at this moment whether he's up to the job.
There are absolutely no signs at the moment that Leeds will do better than mid-table this season. Alan Smith is an admirable young man who accepted a position at Manchester United because he was told it would help save the club. If he comes back, I shall welcome him (as will all Leeds United fans except the most bigoted) but even he won't save us from mediocrity.
PS I hope I'm wrong - entirely wrong

Believable18 Unbelievable9

Kisnorbo made his come back last day of season, might of been for only a hlaf but he still got out their against the champions and he did well .....next season he will be one of the best centre halfs in the league in my opinion

Agree0 Disagree0

Mate I'm a massive Smudger fan and I have to agree here, very worrying times, I'm not an person it's about all 11 players who pull on the White shirt not the " "marquee signings" that said if we get a ridiculously over priced offer for either player we could replace and even get cover, but with tightwad bates and Grayson's chequered transfer record, that's a bit of an unknown. Gradel can be a bit of a liability temperament wise but he is class at this level, Snoddy did the business early and mid way through season but injuries and transfer rumours seem to have taken effect on him.
it's all a bit hairy but hey transfer window hasnt officially opened yet MOT eh guys

Agree0 Disagree0

Saw Kisnorbo play against QPR. Were watching the same game? He was Very unsure and made a number of elementary mistakes - even on one occasion letting the ball slide under his foot in embarrassing fashion. I hope it was a case of just been rusty but nothing is certain. His injury could have been career threatening and, if not, most players do not come back in these circumstances as strong as before. We can only hope for the best but don't bet on it. {Ed015's Note - it was his 1st game back after so many months out, }

Agree0 Disagree0

Yeah half a team, thats why it said all were present other than Kisnorbo and Nunez Stop talking crap.

Agree0 Disagree0

Agree with the smith thing he had to go there becoz man.u scum were the only team that could and would pay us the money up front wich at the time leeds realy needed it so i think what smith done was right for leeds and i for one would love him back

Agree0 Disagree0

Bigoted- or realistics? Smith is sh*t and past his best, we dont want him hear we need fresh new players for the future, not players that will drain our resources whilst being layed up

Agree0 Disagree0

If that happens their will be hell on, and no one will take to the Judas scum if two of our bright players leave for the sake of him....mercenary

Agree0 Disagree0

Admirable young man Lol Yes being greedy is always admirable isnt it.

Agree0 Disagree0

No one called Smithy Smudger until he went to Man Utd, I think some of you are secret Scum followers. Follow the man and not the whites, you should be ashamed

Agree0 Disagree0

To the person who claimed I was talking crap, let us see who is right. (I'm not sure he or she understood my point.) I would bet that only six of the starting line-up for the first game of the season are currently at the club. Who is going to be our left back? Ben Parker? Good luck to the lad, but he's hardly played for two years. (Fede Bessone?) Who is going to be our second centre back? Kisnorbo? Lees? both totally unknown quantities at this juncture. Who is going to play in midfield to accompany Howson? Clayton? Nunez? Neither have played a complete game at this level. And who is going to be our second goalkeeper? All these positions must be filled before Simon Grayson says "Right lads, this is how we're going to play".

Agree0 Disagree0

Yes I actually do think Parker will be in SG plans

Agree0 Disagree0

Kisnorbo played at the back end of the season, he looked up to it so yes I believe he will play a major role in Graysons 2011 side

Agree0 Disagree0

AS was the case with Paynter we'll be told to expect someone in that will be competition for a place but we'll remain with the 1 keeper as first choice and take a loan signing on that is below what we currently have as a safeguard.

Agree0 Disagree0

To the person who called smithy greedy, are you aware that he gave leeds his signing on fee? when he signed for scum.. as for transfers, lets jus wait and see, if we competed last season with the team that has lost average naylor, johnson and kilkenny.. and a player whop would have left on a free next year for more wages in kasper. what is the panic and rush to sign out of contract players, who are greedy and after more than their worth, let other teams snap them up, ie danns to Leicester, obv for the money.. just give it time

Agree0 Disagree0

Please the likes of Johnson and Killkenny wanted a couple of grand more added to their wages seen as their now playing in a higher division then last yea which is understandable, Smith wants £60,000 per WEEK. And he isn't willing to drop 15k of that to return 'home' even though that was his wages when he was last here. The guys ego has rocketed, his love of football has diminished and quite frankly he wants to collect splinters so that he still gets his undeserved over inflated wages.....Thats greed I feel sorry for the Geordie fans having their funds sapped by this useless waste of space.
The signing on fee, well wheres the proof deary? And when you tout yourself to Man Utd thats practically asking for a transfer and stopping a bidding war he didnt deserve a 'loyalty' bonus in the first place

Agree0 Disagree0

Lol you try to post a comment with a bit of positivity in it, and you get a negative one back. by the way i never said i wanted smithy to sign back, i personally can take him or leave him, if he came he'd do good, but i aint gonna lose sleep if he doesnt sign.. as for you dearest i think you have a vendetta against him, if somebody will pay you more money then your not goin to say no, get real mate..
as for johnson and kilkenny i stated, they were average last season, and we wont miss them by the way kilkenny isnt playing in a higher division, lol as i said just wait and see what happens, mr negative, ur comments are not needed..

Agree0 Disagree0

Not needed.....but still given. What right do you ahve to tell me I cannot contribute. Simply because I dont hold the same opinion as you doesnt make my opinions not valid. Johnson contributed greatly last season, did you ever watch a game? Or you simply jumping on the bandwagon now he's left? Lillkenny I couldnt really care about we can definately get better but your wrong regarding Johnson.
And It depends on the deal being offered, not everyone is a sell out. Would you sell your morals and dignity for a cheque? I guess it depends on the individual, and simply because you excuse it for a payday doesnt mean we all would.

Looking at the pics at Leeds back in training can someone infom me who number 55 is

Believable2 Unbelievable1

They are actually their numbers, they just get given random numbers on there shorts, they are not the offical squad numbers

Agree0 Disagree0

I think it might be Alex Cairns (junior goalie) {Ed015's Note - i did see a statement saying we have signed a young goal keeper, dont get to excited he isnt anywhere near 1st team quality tho, one for the future}

Agree0 Disagree0

We signed a keeper called Eric Grimes might have been him or Alex Cairns

Agree0 Disagree0

The player wearin number 55 is will hatfield. The numbers they were wearin in pre season are the squad numbers from last season.....

Agree0 Disagree0

Its alex cairns, if you look just below the picure you'll see it says their names from left to right if you get what i mean. :)

55 is Joe MaCann, young midfielder. I went to school with him

like alot of us, i am concerned about the lack of transfer activity, but we must be try and be patient[although it's torture, lol] and see who we get in, Bates and Grayson know we all expect to improve this year, and must be looking at least a play-off spot.If we go backwards this coming season then we all have every right to moan, [i certainly will, lol].so lets just hope we bring in a few good signings, keep hold of our best players and get rid of the dead wood,

Believable6 Unbelievable2

Heard from an old friend in Coventry that Aron Gunnarsson has had an offer from Leeds. I'm hoping it's true, if we can get him playing in centre-mid with an experienced head like Montgomery/Smith, along with Howson, I think it'd be a good thing for the team, give us some bite in midfield. He's still only young at 22, and had a lot of experience in the Championship for a player of his age. Available on a free after rejecting a new contract offer from Coventry.

realistically what are the chances of smithy, bowyer and woodgate coming back to ER. who have we got the best chance of getting ed? {Ed015's Note - i normally say smith but none of them seem definate at the min}

Believable5 Unbelievable12

On the newcastle blog it says smith has snubbed leeds to sit on bench and earn easy wages

Agree0 Disagree0

Hopefully none of them. Injury problems, high wages and past it. Would be an absolute s**t piece of business. Luckily Bates is smart enough to realize that.

Agree0 Disagree0

But that's not official and those stories surfaced ages ago but never confirmed by the clubs or smiths agent

Agree0 Disagree0

Say we got bower and smudge who would your team be. Because everyone seems to moan at Grayson for not being attacking and playing 4-4-2 and if we got smith and bower the only way that would work is if bower and smith were in the holding role and howson was in the hole behind the striker and this would mean that we would only be playing 1 person up top. The same as last season and people are moaning that 4-2-3-1 is not attacking. So if smith and bower came back what formation do you use to play them?

Agree0 Disagree0

How is bowyer injury prone or past it? he easily has 2 seasons left in him at this level. and signing smith would be a right kick up the arse to the lads. at the end of the day he wears his heart on his sleeve. great inspiration to the younger playes.... agree with woodgate to an extent. but a fit woodgate walks into 95% of any team in any league

Agree0 Disagree0

Smith is definately the most likely to come back not sure if the others will end up coming and Smith wouldnt snub us to sit on the bench that doesnt seems to be a better option than Leeds. He is only losing 15,000 and that seems a lot of money but compared to footballers wages that is barely anything, especially when your getting old so its not too bad. {Ed015's Note - looks like he may not be coming}

Agree0 Disagree0

Why is he most likely to come back, wishful thinking. Hes going to loose 750k a year that will be the likely reason he wont return. Why would he return, he looses money, he plays at a lower level, and he returns to a club where a big proportion detest him. whats more likely again? Reality check

Agree0 Disagree0

Talk your way around it all you want, you dont want to see the truth he wont be returning, what excuses will his fanclub make for him then? No doubt it'll be 'our' fault, you know us 'fans'...........
Bowyer on the otherhand whas still got something to offer, but realistically he can still get prem football, he can get much higher wages and he prefers london to the north. Woodgate is a liability, shouldnt touch him with a ten foot barge pole.

Smith deal done..... 1 year loan newcastle paying 30k leeds paying 15k .... deal to be completed 1st August saves smith another £75k by hanging on for another month. His agent has been hagggling for a permenant 3 year deal.... leeds were only prepared to offer a 2 year deal. He has had contact with West Ham & Birmingham wanted a 3 year deal on £30k per week with Newcastle to pay him £1.5m to go however West Ham were only prepared to offer a 2 year deal on £25k... not sure about the offer from brum..... He wants the Leeds deal .. the only thing which will scupper it is if someone offer him more or less double bubble.

Believable12 Unbelievable12

Alan smith deal is not done its very close buts inot on a loan it a 3 year permanent contract

Agree0 Disagree0

Does anyone have ANY reliable info on this or are we feeding off scraps of gossip?

Agree0 Disagree0

What's so good about Smith? he wasn't exactly a world beater first time around and struggled to get into a championship team when Newcastle were there

Agree0 Disagree0

He didn't exactly struggle to get in the team he played in 32 out of the 46 league games keeping Nicky Butt out of the team and was even captain for quite a few of the games. He was only dropped when they changed formation to play with 2 strikers instead of 1.

Agree0 Disagree0

STRUGGLED, YOU MUPPET HE WO THE COMPLETE ENGINE FO NEWCASTLE, JUST HOPE IT IS TRUE ABOUT HIM COMING BACK COS HE WILL BE AWESOME FO OUR MIDFIELD PLUS HE WUD GIV 110% EVERY GAME.....M.O.T

Agree0 Disagree0

Alan smith deal is not done its very close buts inot on a loan it a 3 year permanent contract......
Proof? Sources?
Your all talking out of your rears and this Alan Smith Obsession is tedious and embarrassing.

Agree0 Disagree0

I watch alot of Newcastle games with Smith in the team, dont bullsh*t people into thinking he got them promoted single handedly because thats a load sh**. He runs around like a headless chicken, the guys frightened of the ball, and when he does mangae too he comits a foul. Hes a liability or useless, his confidence is shot. Ask any Nufc fan and they are dying to offload him, how many teams are willing to pay 30k to get rid of one of their players, if hes so wonderful? The facts are there, he's sh**. Ask them go on and I bet they'll tell you the lost the majority of games he played in, or once Smith would come on as a sub the game would turn from infavour. Also the amount of free kicks he gives away is ridiculous.

Agree0 Disagree0

He didn't exactly struggle to get in the team- Aye it had nothing to do with half of their players being shipped out and having a very very thin squad. Its funny the facts you Pro Smith lot leave out just to suit your agenda. He was also one of the senior players that the manager liked of the pitch ;)

Agree0 Disagree0

If he was as good as you say for newcastle then where was he last season? why do people seem to think that giving 110% means that they are superstars. 110% of average is still averag

Agree0 Disagree0

The newcastle fans call him their glorified Cheerleader, speaks volumes.
Man utd fans only remember him as scoring a decent goal in their 7-1 victory. 110% who cares, us fans could give 110% lol the guys terrible and should have retired after his Injury hes not only physically scarred but mentally. I pray he doesnt return, he'll be an unwanted drain on our wages budget.

He's below average, he just snarls and commits fouls, he's useless

Andy O'brien has been given squad number 5 this season so it looks like grayson wants he to be one of the two centre backs this season. Lets hope paddy kisnorbo is fit enough to start the season at the back with him. With the experince of them both and the quality within them i feel the leeds defence this season will be stronger than last.

Believable12 Unbelievable2

If not paddy I think we should give Tom Lees a chance in pre-season along with aidy White. Why did o'brian and Bruce play so well in the cups against arsenal but poorly in the league. We have a few youngsters that have had loans that now look promising I think we should give them a shout in preseason

Looking at training photos on the LUFC web, Snodgrass miserable as sin, doesn't look like he wants to be there at all

Believable7 Unbelievable5

Gradel all smiles as usual though. Good signs :)

Agree0 Disagree0

Oh shut up you tool. he is one of the ones who doesnt like fitness, so im sure he won tbe delighted to be running all day.

besides, a photo can capture someone at just the wrong moment without it actually showing how they are feeling {Ed015's Note - to be honest in the pictures with snodgrass in nobody else is smiling, if you enjoy training then your not training hard enough, and it is 1st day back,}

Agree0 Disagree0

Your actually trying to gauge Snodgrass' mood from one random pic of him running? wise up

Agree0 Disagree0

What by a photo you can tell that snoddy always looks miserable

Agree0 Disagree0

One facial expression on a photo does not mean he is off. Stop jumping to conclusions

Agree0 Disagree0

Quick question

IF smith returns would you make him captain?

I think howson should remain as captain he has done a good job he is only young and is an inspirational leader

Press believable if you think smith will become captain

Press unbelievable if you think howson will remain as captain {Ed015's Note - Howson for captain!}

Believable12 Unbelievable18

You are ridiculously obsessed girl

The boys that are here now deserve the credit and the rewards, why should someone swan in and take all the glory? Howson is our future he needs to remain captain, and rightly so he deserves it and so do so many of the other team before the none entity that is Smith.

Agree0 Disagree0

Howson clearly, he actually PLAYS for our club, and has put in the time and graft to deserve the cpts armband.

Agree0 Disagree0

What a ridiculous question, he hasnt even kicked a ball and people want him to be given the captaincy?? Just proves people want a return simply because of his name and not what he'll offer the team in ability. Just look at the question, it just highlights the dillusion surrounding this has been player.

Agree0 Disagree0

Yeah great Leeds fand you are, lets kick someone thats put in the graft in the teeth

All you so called Leeds fans saying bates out het a grip. He done alot to this club and saved us from going under and now we are making money. So wot if we only get free agents have you the players that are free agents they are top class y buy when we don't need to. And as for the keeper Paul we just got he was not blackpools 2team choice he was injured all last season and was blackpools player of the year when they got promoted he is realy good when he is fit and now he is fit you will see how good he can be

Believable10 Unbelievable11

Bates OUT end of, he saved us from administration but now he is stopping us from moving forward. he is raking it all in before he sells, BELIEVE. {Ed015's Note - MOT}

Agree0 Disagree0

Ok i understand where your coming from here but if he ever wants to get out of this devision we need a rich arab or we need bates to put his han in his pockets..

Agree0 Disagree0

He didn't save us get your facts right please, the only person who every threatened Leeds' existence was Bates himself, please do ten minutes research before you post. {Ed015's Note - Bates saved leeds, he did what he had to do}

Agree0 Disagree0

Bates only payed a penny in the pound to pay off our debts he got a great deal buying leeds and he hasnt put any money into the playing staff i am thankfull to him for steadying the club but he needs to pump in some cash to take us to the next level or sell to someone who will

Agree0 Disagree0

I totally agree with you mate. If it wasnt for Bates and the council we wouldnt be supporting leeds now. Get a grip saying league 1 football next season, it is obvious we will sign players to challenge for promotion.

Agree0 Disagree0

Bates OUT end of, he saved us from administration but now he is stopping us from moving forward. he is raking it all in before he sells, BELIEVE.

He didn't save us get your facts right please, the only person who every threatened Leeds' existence was Bates himself, please do ten minutes research before you post.

Sorry Ed but this was the reality of the situation. He threatened to end Leeds, just so HE could benefit and get a good deal. Dont think he gives a hoot about Leeds fans he cant stand us and has said it MANY times regarding our past 'behaviour' especially regarding his Scoreboard ;) Lol

Agree0 Disagree0

Bates wants to do it on the cheap, sell up and make as much profit as possible. Your dillusional if you think any different fellow whites.

Leeds sold delph for £6mill rising to £8mill and that was a league one player. Conner wickham from Ipswich to Sunderland £8mill rising to £12mill. So why should Leeds sell snodgrass or gradle any less than them prices when both snods and max score more assist more and to me are much better.

Believable16 Unbelievable4

The differences are... Wickham's young and English and looks as if he's goin to be a top quality striker In our market at the current time them kind of players are being overpriced massively

Agree0 Disagree0

Totally agree with you, If either are sold for under £8 million, then i think Bates and Grayson, should reconsider there futures at the club
We should be looking to get promotion this season, and we need our best players to achieve this
So a message to Norwich and West Ham and other football clubs interested
These players are not for sale

Agree0 Disagree0

The only deal worth doing if we were to get rid of snodgrass... is £3million our way and wes hoolahan and oli johnson..... MOT

Agree0 Disagree0

Snodgrass i agree, Gradel has only 1 year left on his contract if we demand too much and he wants to go and we wont sell, he will go for free next season.. {Ed015's Note - Gradel wants to stay}

Agree0 Disagree0

The differance in contracts max gradel one year remaining snody 2 years remaining, conner wickham only signed a 4 year contract this year

Agree0 Disagree0

£3m and oli johnson and hoolahan?? crack head much?

billy paynter will be fully fit this season i think hes the man to watch HJ.

Believable7 Unbelievable16

It's going to be interesting to see who starts next season if any of Somma, Paynter, Lees, White and Nunez have good pre-seasons. MOT

Agree0 Disagree0

Paynter seems over weight, slow and not at the races for me, it seems he has stepped up to a class beyond his talents in my book, i never see him as a danny graham or shane long and we would be wise to offload him if we have serious ambitions to become premiership club again

Agree0 Disagree0

He was fully fit after 10 games last season. The guy is a second division striker and not a championship promotion winning goal scorer. He does not anticipate or react quickly enough. Move him on and bring back Rob Hulse.

Players out/going out :
Johnson
Killa
Kasper

In:
A former blackpool 2nd team keeper.

Must say im a tad worried so far. and hope this rumour about bates cashing in on gradel isnt true becasue if it happens im not giving no money to that greedy b**tard next season. BATES OUT He dosnt care about the team, the fans etc hence thats why he NEVER invests in the team and we get free agents instead.
All he wants is his museum and hotel and thats his job done.

Only signing i can see realistic so far is Montgomery fro, sheff utd. Hopefully there will be many more becasue way were going we need them

Believable10 Unbelievable8

Are you for real.. oh I see, you want to buy a load of players again and not afford them and then go even FURTHER down.. We have been getting freebies and loans for the past few seasons and what has that got us.. Promotion (finally something to celebrate) and 7th Place in our FIRST season back, patience is a virtue people, success takes time, remember rome wasn't built in a day, I could go on forever with all the sayings, they are true for a reason, remember when we bought players over our budget; relegation, followed by mid table mediocrity in championship, followed by playoff disappointment, followed by relegation, followed by another 10 points deduction, season after that, we started amazing, ALL WITH FREES AND LOANS, face it Leeds, we are a team that's on the up, and until we are in the Prem again, we simply CANNOT bid 1-2-3-10 million for players like the West Hams and Birmingham's that have the premiership parachute behind them, we will be back there soon, so just sit tight, stop moaning and let them get on with what they do best which is control a club, and we can do what we do best, which is support it

Marching On Together, On On ON

Agree0 Disagree0

Bates summed up to a tee. WHERE'S THE MONEY??

Agree0 Disagree0

Im not getting on at the team? aha If you really think bates will take us up to the prem then think again. The team, manager did an amazing job last season, so far above my expectations. And they will do there job again this season im sure of it.
The point im making is what Bates is doing to the club , letting go 3 good players who are all first team players. who we fetching in ? weve got the funds to buy quality players WITHOUT getting our selves into fiancial problems becasue im not saying spend wildly. no way we know what happend last time All im saying is Bates needs to either go or have a chnage of heart and put the players/manager first instead of his own profits and lifestyle. No chance on Goodwillie, Dundee Utd have turned down 2 offers from Rangers, one of which was just shy of £2m, Bates won't spend that sort of money

Plus Goodwillie just been arrested for assault, so probably best we stay clear of that one

Hi Ed, do you think it would be impossible to take Rosisky on loan for next season? He hasn't been playing regularly for Arsenal and he is a fantastic player {Ed015's Note - its not impossible just very unlikely,}

Believable3 Unbelievable19

Its not possible to take rosikky because there is no such player {Ed015's Note - we knew who he meant tho}

Agree0 Disagree0

No ed i am sorry this is totally impossible and would never happen this an international player in his prime, why the hell would he drop a league? lol {Ed015's Note - look at Ramsey and Bellamy, a good loan period can work wonders in getting you back into the 1st team, }

Sky Sports news reporting that Leeds are looking to bring Dudek back to England, so maybe some more substance to that rumour now.

Believable12 Unbelievable13

I think it would be a great signing, just what we need. Experience.

Agree0 Disagree0

Where is that on sky sports I can't find it anywhere {Ed015's Note - dont think its on sky sports but it is true}

Agree0 Disagree0

BTW, it's on Sky's official news channel... why are people not believing it?

Agree0 Disagree0

Hats off to SG if he pulls that off. Where are the new defenders to put infront of a new goalie though?

Agree0 Disagree0

I would take him definitely.. i know he is 38, but he is the only keeper that we have been linked with that i honestly think is any decent, and better than kasper. Kasper is better than the rest and SG said he wanted to improve that area. so come on Jerzy

Goalkeeper David Stockdale impressed when called upon by Fulham last season and he has been linked with a summer move away from Craven Cottage. However, new manager Martin Jol does not want to sell Stockdale and is keen to send the England hopeful out on loan to a club where he will play every week.

Source - sky transfer clockwatch

Possible truth in the ER rumour?

Believable12 Unbelievable6

I think we will sign a more experienced keeper, liking the Dudek rumours {Ed015's Note - 38yrs old tho, at that age you have to be really carefull about injurys and does he have the fitmess level still?}

Dudek seen in horsforth cosco buying ginsters chicken and mushroom slice and pump number 3. Only put 10L of fuel in can't be going far

Believable7 Unbelievable17

Too old only 12 games in 4 years poor. Prone to mistakes. Get a young ambitious goalkeeper who wants to fight for his place and play week in week out and that is ready for a challenge

Agree0 Disagree0

Didn't we already have one of them in Kasper ?? {Ed015's Note - kasper kept saying he was premier league quality, Bates didnt agree.... }

Talking to a couple of my work mates about the lack of signings happening at elland road and one of them them heard that SG was looking at 3 South American players . I said " B@>?s**t " and he said " No really " and then he phoned the guy who told him and that they are to arrive on trial the same as becchio did with a view to signing them on of them is out of contract a midfielder called maxi moralez aged 24 (playmaker type of player) a leftsided defender called fernando tobio aged 21 and a goalkeeper called Marcelo Barovero aged 27. When i googled these players they were hard to find but did come up as playing for a club called Velez Sarsfield in Argentina this is all the info i have found out. ED can you find out anything else out about these players please because if the are like becchio i think there might be some good time ahead for us. {Ed015's Note - they do seem rather unknown but il keep trying!}

Believable7 Unbelievable8

Moralez moved to FC Moscow a few years back for over 4 Million he failed and went back to Velez, where he continued the form that got him the move in the first place, no international caps & no European Visa mean it can't happen.

Tobio tall center-halve, but like Moralez no international caps & no European Visa.

Same with the goalkeeper no international caps & no European Visa

Agree0 Disagree0

Unknown? Type Velez Sarsfield into wiki and you'll see all three, with each having their own page. Moralez just renewed his conract.

All played a large part in the team that has just won the national championship

Ed.... When the paper says west ham close to agreeing a deal for max gradel? Does that mean Leeds have turned down s previous offer? Does it mean Leeds have given them a reachable asking price? I dnt understand? And surly if Leeds have scared people off with snoddys valuation why not the same with gradel? Yes he now has a year left but what about re-negotiations? What's your take on it all ed? {Ed015's Note - nothing has been released by leeds or westham, all paper talk}
