Overnight decision apparently. we need this. we won't go down but we will lose mcc and sam if it doesn't go our way. however no matter what goes down. MOT. forever.

Believable27 Unbelievable13

Don't forget our best player McCormack

Agree0 Disagree0

Why will we lose our best players? GFH will find another buyer, who will not want to sell them

Agree0 Disagree0

But if that Buyer is Mr Bates. he will want to sell them and sign a few more has beens

Agree0 Disagree0

I wouldn't listen to Brazil he is a nut. BOOM BOOM. if you can't laugh as a leeds fan you will cry. hope it will all be sorted even if we go into the dreaded A and go down we will come back up we are a big and great club and can not be kept ton our knees forever. That said I hope the mafia hitman gets the club he seems like good value for money entertainment wise and think he will have the clubs best interested at heart MOT

Judge has reserved judgement to see what happens in his other pending court cases.

Believable12 Unbelievable48

That would take months we haven't got months we need a decision and quick or were relegated

Agree4 Disagree0

The Football League said in a statement: "Massimo Cellino's appeal under The Football League's Owners' and Directors' Test has now concluded with the Independent QC reserving his judgment."

So, whether or not the QC is waiting for the other cases to be heard is NOT known yet.

Just saying .

MOT

Agree3 Disagree2

If that is the case then it will be a long while before "Judgement" revealed. Not good for LUFC.

Agree1 Disagree0

Where does that leave us then?how long do we have to wait now?just long enough to go into administration again.what a waste of time and money.

Agree1 Disagree0

I fear LIQUIDATION, not administration. So does MC if transcript from Radio phone in accurate.

Agree2 Disagree0

It says in all reports about reserving judgement nothing about pending court cases, how do you know that

Agree2 Disagree1

It could be good news because he didn't dismiss the appeal, therefore there must be either something he wants to think about or check on before he gives his decision. I don't think that it will be too long. He has heard evidence from both sides so the only thing now is his decision. He defer the case for further submission of evidence if he was waiting on the outcome of other cases rather than reserve judgement

Agree0 Disagree0

No he hasn't. This is not about waiting for other hearings, he simply needs more time to consider what has been presented today. This is about the FL judgement of last week, that is all he is ruling on.

Agree0 Disagree0

This means the judge wants to sit back and look at all the possible outcomes as well as the causes.

I think he will make a decision within the next day or two, after considering all options.

So much for the people on here that thought this would be an open and shut case in 5 minutes.

At least some people take their position into account and aren't immediately swayed by their own interest, unlike the members of the FL who all have their own itinerary?

Lets hope this judge comes up with a justifiable outcome, whichever way it goes, rather than waits until he thinks he has a reason to ban Cellino - which is all the FL did?

Agree0 Disagree0

A Football League spokesman said: "The Football League has noted the outcome of the Court hearing earlier today regarding Massimo Cellino.

"We are engaged in an ongoing dialogue with his legal representatives in this country and cannot comment further at this time."

Agree0 Disagree0

Reserved judgement is giving time to consider evidence the parties have put forward. The decision will be announced in a matter of days if not tomorow

Agree0 Disagree0

Reserve judgement. It is most often used as a legal term, it refers to a judge withholding a sentence or declaration in order to consult, for more evidence to develop a more informed judgement. no definite time scale unless stated at the time. how long is piece of string. short and weak if it´s us. MOT

Agree0 Disagree0

QC has almost certainly reserved judgement to have a think about it and then write down the reasons for his decision - he's got to give reasons and will really, really want to get it right and bombproof. So no surprise here .

Agree0 Disagree0

What the people at the football league, putting aside legal arguements, is that if Leeds go into administration then local businesses as well as the inland revenue will lose money and more importantly normal people will lose thier jobs

Agree0 Disagree0

Quote: "A Football League spokesman said: "The Football League has noted the outcome of the Court hearing earlier today regarding Massimo Cellino.

"We are engaged in an ongoing dialogue with his legal representatives in this country and cannot comment further at this time."

If that is to be as read, then it seems its favourable to LUFC and MC.

Appeal finished but have to wait for decision, vinny. (source phil hay twitter)

Believable25 Unbelievable3

Is everyone determind to kill off leeds united, why do I get the feeling that's true

Cellino's appeal hearing is scheduled for this afternoon and will be decided on by an independent QC. The Italian says he's confident The FL's decision will be overturned, leaving him in the unfortunate situation of having to clear up the mess left behind by past owners.
here's hoping hey!

Believable33 Unbelievable18

I understood it was 10.30am

Agree1 Disagree0

It's this morning at 10.30 not this afternoon

Agree1 Disagree0

K folks thought you could tell it was copied and pasted from another leeds site as far as I know decision by 11 o clock this morning! or thereabouts

Agree0 Disagree2

Fingers Crossed for Cellino.

Spoke to somebody who has been involved in Cellinos legal team who said he felt the appeal had a better than 50% possibility of success as the Football league hadn't covered everything off in the first hearing

Agree0 Disagree1

No its not it is being heard in the morning

Agree1 Disagree0

It is true that the appeal is being heard today, but it is unknown whether an announcement will be made before the end of the day according to some sources

Agree1 Disagree0

Its an APPEAL, not a turn over. No matter how it appears I can't see any change in FL stance.

Agree1 Disagree1

People are getting carried away, they won't be any change.have to look elsewhere for a new buyer.

Agree1 Disagree0

Let's just wait and see, shall we?

Leeds4alongtime

Agree1 Disagree0

Hearing finished. Judgement at a "Later Date".

Agree0 Disagree0

The outcome of the appeal is binding on both parties with no further right of appeal. So if the judge finds in favour of Cellino then the FL have to allow him to purchase Leeds.

If that happens I would put money on them 'sticking it to us' at their first opportunity

Cellino confirms that Bates is still involved with Leeds and David Haigh had dinner with Bates on Saturday night.

Haigh, Bates and GFH OUT

Believable46 Unbelievable8

I fear now, iff Cellino loses today we are heading for administration and ken bates will buy us back on the cheap like last time :(

Agree4 Disagree0

Bates sells Leeds to GFH
GFH are broke
Leeds go into administration
Bates buys club back on cheap
nice little earner
I smell a rat

Agree3 Disagree0

Maybe that's what they ate on Saturday night!

Agree0 Disagree0

Yes like we have been set up!

Agree1 Disagree0

Bates reckons Haigh stood him up and called him ignorant!Maybe a smoke screen.

Agree0 Disagree0

Lads lads lads I've been telling you from day1, papa smurf has his fingers in our club and always has.
Why would you sell to GFH then 6 months later give them £1.6mill??
Bates hates LUFC but the greedy person loves money and knows where he can keep his drip fed millions topped up.

The ONLY way we can get rid of him is by selling to one man and one man ONLY, a consortium could still involve the slimey bearded one!!

Agree0 Disagree0

When Ken Bates sold to GFH, he held a dinner at Elland Road for all of his staff to say thank you and goodbye.
At the dinner were the GFH team, and when one walked by Ken Bates table he joking said 'Ken, we will sell you this club back for £80m when we are back in the Premier League', to which Ken Bates replied 'I will get this club back for nothing when you lot F*** it up'!
This was true and I was told by my a neighbour who was there (Ex LUFC player and manager), as it caused a truly awkward silence!
So there you have it, I think Ken always thought that GFH are clueless and this was going to happen and was planning on taking it back with £40m profit in his sky rocket.
Shrewd business but hopefully it won't happen (unless that is the only option to avoid administration)
HarrogateRob

Agree0 Disagree0

Whatever happened, you can bet Bates never paid for it.

Agree0 Disagree0

Perhaps we should petition the FA to ensure that Ken is never accepted as a fit-and-proper-person

Agree0 Disagree0

The more I see about Bates and Haig being involved with each other the less I like either of them.

I really hope that Cellino gets the go ahead and the first person kicked into touch is Haig.

Fortunately time is on OUR side with Bates, most of us will be here when he is long gone.

Unfortunately Haig is a different case.

Agree0 Disagree0

The more I see people believe what they are told on here the more I worry about the education of West Yorkshire

F

Agree0 Disagree0

So all you financial experts with your Bates conspiracy theories know that GFH are broke and have no money? How come the World stock market does not think the same? They are still trading and their shares are not fluctuating. You don't have to believe me, you can look at www.kuwaitse.com Look up their shares and their assests.

Agree0 Disagree0

Should we be cautious of cellinos motives here, everyone seems to be caught up in supporting his takeover. What is his plan, why leeds, where does this all leave us if he gets the go ahead to take over. Remember GHF were the saviours not too long ago and now they are being rubbished by most at every opportunity. With our gates, tv money, profile we should not be losing money, much smaller teams in this league are surviving on much much less, our structure needs looking at top to bottom regardless of the owner

Leeds are expected to go into administration by Friday with Cellino being denied despite an appeal

Believable40 Unbelievable29

Yes agree entirely, admin/liquidation no brainer now

Agree0 Disagree0

Isn't it lovely to support a great team with total pessimists as supporters.

Agree0 Disagree0

What a load of tosh we have so many fake supporters since this began its unbelievable. Why would you pay almost 40 million for something to then 6 months later walk away from it and write that amount of money off! Don't believe the media or twitter have a look at last years accounts to see what a more realistic representation of the clubs finances are. Baseless rumour
