Leeds are trying to make loan deal for Norwegian Vegard Forrem from Southampton. Norwegian international left footed Central defender. Would be a great addition to the squad

Believable22 Unbelievable64

Great addition? can't in there team and there defenders are s****

He is a good player, who playd for Ole Gunnar Solskjrs team in Norway.

Agree0 Disagree0

I wouldn't call clyne a sh!te full back mate

Eirewhite

Agree0 Disagree0

Could be something in this although he only signed for Saints in Jan 13 so they might want to use him to see if he can break into the first team sooner rather than later. He could be put out on loan to give him some football.

Agree0 Disagree0

Even if we could get him, it'd only be till January maximum. then we'd have to make do with Pearce again, I'd prefer a long term fix!

Agree0 Disagree0

If he was any good he would b in there first team as they have some really poor defenders so hopefully we dnt get him thanks

Agree0 Disagree0

And Luke Shaw is really s****?

Agree0 Disagree0

Forrem is quality! But slow! Would prefer quality and fast!

Agree0 Disagree0

Luke shaw is s**** yes, he's just another aiden white, pace and that's it {Ed001's Note - have you ever seen him play?? If you really believe what you have typed, then you are either delusional or clueless!}

Agree0 Disagree0

Slow? He is super fast!

Agree0 Disagree0

He plays centre back so I clearly meant their centre back

Agree0 Disagree0

He offers nothing but pace. he can't defend just like the rest of there defenders

Leeds rumoured to be looking at Shay Given after he was told he can find another club, bri man is keen on him as he doesn't like paddy kenny much, wages could be a stumbling block though, also, michail antonio is on the bri mans list of targets mot

Believable16 Unbelievable73

How the heck do you know brian dnt like kenny much? lol

So it looks like we may be closing in on our first deal of the summer (and if a prior £5m switch to Leicester is anything to go by, DEAL is exactly the word to use). £1m is the reported asking fee from Bolton for Matt Mills, who seems to have been heavily linked with Leeds United over the past week-or-so. Standing tall at 6ft3", Mills has played under B. McD before whilst at Reading (arguably the height of his relatively young career) in which he made a name for himself, attracting a lot of attention uo and down the country. This then culminated in a sizable bid from the Foxes which was enough to pry him from Readings grasp! However since the move Mills neither lived up to the transfer fee or expectation resulting in another switch to Bolton, in which injury has dented his season

Believable60 Unbelievable11

Very good comment mate, I for 1 think mills would be a fantastic sighning. Mot.

Agree0 Disagree0

My brothers a bolton fan and heard he Freedman wants him off the wage bill.

Agree0 Disagree0

There is no way we are paying a million for any player let alone another centre back who is no improvement on Pearce.

Agree0 Disagree0

Pearce can't even hold down his position and he cost what 500k? worrying thing is that if we sign mills who will partner him. Don't think Lees would fit as he is the same type of player. Lees needs to be playing football. Also what happens with pelts. Warnock seems to have LB nailed down, Pelts will be waiting to see what happens with byram. one thing I think we need is a style of play that we can stick to, then we can start developing our youth to play in that manor.

StevenLufc

Agree0 Disagree0

Mills would be a shocking signing, can't see it.

Agree0 Disagree0

Why don't we sign Mathew Kilgallon back. Sunderland's let him go so it ain't going to cost us. Will free money for other signings.

Agree0 Disagree0

Or why not sign a centre back with pace instead of pedestrians like Mills and Kilgallen

Agree0 Disagree0

31 May 2013 10:38:59
Hi the signings BMD Is looking to bring in is
Jerome Thomas
Ian Harte
Titus Bamble
Adam le Fondre
Nakhi Wells
Noel Hunt
Jake Livermore

Titus and Ian Hart never in a million years.

Agree0 Disagree0

Three forwards! That seems unlikely

Agree0 Disagree0

Take the middle 2 but no one else on that list

Agree2 Disagree0

If true, let's hope Livermore has upped his game since last time round! Chapel A

Agree0 Disagree0

U just made a list from all the rumours and that's it. really no-one knows where he is lookin but I am quite posative for once playoffs this time but unfortunatly I think we will wait longer for promotion come on the leeds giz cq

Agree0 Disagree0

Livermore will go on loan to a prem side, you won't be able to afford le fondre. Harte is too old

Agree0 Disagree0

Ian Harte. Really? Why do we need another Left Back when we have drury, warnocck and white.

StevenLufc

Agree0 Disagree0

Erm cus ian harte is miles better than all them 3

Agree0 Disagree0

ALF and Livermore aren't coming.

Agree0 Disagree0

01 Jun 2013 04:02:30
Ian Harte wasn't as good as Warnock when he was here before, if you think that you are too young to remember the games he threw away with bad tackles, lack of pace and usless possisioning. The goals from free kicks never even came close to making up for it.
Get over Harte he is best forgotten.

Agree0 Disagree0

Well said above about Warnock being better than Harte, we have to remember that now Harte is a lot slower still! If Reading didn't want him for the championship why should we?

Agree0 Disagree0

Ian harte has always been a better defender than warnock that's why he's always been in better teams. when harte was with leeds he was great and got a good amount of goals which warnock, drury and white could only dream of. i'd sell white and drury and keep warnock as a sub and get harte in. you have 2 b crazy to think warnock is anywere near the quality of ian harte

Agree0 Disagree0

Harte is well and truely past it, he didn't have any pace ten years ago, don't want him, don't need him. bramble is worse than useless and no better than what we have already got!

Agree0 Disagree0

Danny Russell, shay given, grant holt

Agree0 Disagree0

It's possibly too late for Harte to come back now, and I'm not sure he's needed -but I cannot imagine any manager picking Warnock above Harte when they were at their respective peaks. Warnock has barely featured in the international game (for either club or country) -that's one arena where Harte really made his mark. Chapel A

Agree0 Disagree0

I agree we probs dnt need harte but we definitely need a new lb as white is useless, drury offers nothing, warnock is ok but if we are to go up then we need a better lb for sure. I think we need a new gk, new cb, new lb, we need to get rid of the rubbish midfield we have apart from green as he's the only 1 who gives his all, our strikers are fine tbh what really let us down last season was the poor midfield, aka austin who will shoot from anywhere when his number 1 job is to tackle and pass forward. he's a terrible player. we need teamplayers. ain't botherd about pace to much just someone who will pass and move instead of shooting from mid 90% of the time like austin. if you give mccormack a decent pass he will score simple as that and so will morrison they are both quality players who need teamplayers to pass to them and not greedy players who just shoot when they ain't a striker

Firstly, things look like developing on the whole Noel Hunt scenario, I didn't realise how close of a relationship McDermott and Hunt have but it seems McD is attending Hunts wedding which would indicate the player and manager are on very good terms, meaning the likelihood of a deal for Hunt is possibly more realistic than most rumours.

Secondly, WTF does Shaun Harvey do, the guy is IMO a melt, he is a yes man (exactly the type Ken Bates requires to keep in his back pocket), apart from that I think he is the biggest waste of money at the club in all honesty, he probably doesn't earn a great deal (in comparison to players) but still, every little helps.

To right about shaun harvey not worth £260,000 pound a year [wrexhamwhites]

Agree1 Disagree0

31 May 2013 11:18:09
He earns about £260,000 a year apparently.
Guess that's the going rate for a Football Chief Exec. is he worth it though?

Agree0 Disagree1

You are very wrong pal, shaun harvey does a lot for leeds.

Agree0 Disagree1

No thank you! Don't need either. Hunt is not a proven goalscorer. We need pace and goals hunt will provide neither.

Agree1 Disagree1

It's not always a good thing to have 'friendship' between a manager and player. What's going to happen if he needs to drop him or discipline him?

Agree0 Disagree0

Hunts seems likely as he is free and has a long standing connection with our manager. I don't think Hunt is the type of player we should be employing if we are looking to progress

Agree0 Disagree0

Oh look Shaun Harvey does check these rumour sites. (Post 3).

I would just like to point out I never said I was in favour of Hunt joining, nor did I say he would, just that the likelihood is more realistic than the rumours currently circulating.

Also regarding the friendship part, I am not in the know so I don't really know how a friendship in football would work (between manager and player), but I'd imagine a manager gets along quite well with most if not all of his players, therefore building up a friendship along the way.

Livermore may be told he can leave Tottenham, I think he would be a great signing!

Believable36 Unbelievable43

Didt play well when on loan at leeds a big no for me can do better I think! [wrexhamwhites]

Agree1 Disagree1

Would prefer Huddlestone

Agree1 Disagree1

First thing, on what basis do you think he would b a great singing? we had him on loan once and he was shocking, the problem with him is he tends to attack at every chance when he's actually a cdm kinda player so I really hope we don't get him, he would just b another bad midfielder and we already have austin so please noo

Agree1 Disagree0

Haven't seen anything from Livermore to suggest he would improve us. Out of the players Spurs are looking to release (that's David Bentley, William Gallas, Emmanuel Adebayor, Benoit Assou-Ekotto, Jake Livermore, Tom Huddlestone and Heurelho Gomes for those keeping count), discounting the ones who wouldn't drop down, I would think about a cheeky offer for Gallas. I know he is getting on a bit but that will drive his wage down. Would still be a top defender at this level and he is a leader, something we are sorely missing (more than wingers imo which everyone keeps going on about, too many points dropped in last five of games due to team switching off last season for me). Also McD likes to build a young team around a few experienced players.
Huddlestone and/or Assou-Ekotto would be amazing but can't see them dropping to Championship.

Gummie

Agree0 Disagree0

We had Livermore, Caulker and Townend all on loan from Spurs and they were all shocking for us, but two of the 3 went on to play for England and Townsend is an England U21 player. Perhaps our manager could not get the best out of them. Livermore would not come to us, he will go to QPR

Agree0 Disagree0

Never had caulker from spurs.

Agree0 Disagree0

Caulker has never played for Leeds. What are you on about?

Crmd

Agree0 Disagree0

Did not impress much last time round (except for his first touch -that penalty box turn and swivel that set up our 4th goal vs Forest). Would have preferred Andros Townsend! Chapel A

Agree0 Disagree0

By the way, Caulker was not here -it was Adam Smith. And Townsend always looked dangerous (remember the Burnley game?). Chapel A

Agree0 Disagree0

When did we have Caulker? Can't remember that!

Just thought I'd put 2+2 together here. Seen a few rumours about Bramble to Leeds and read that he had been spotted in Monaco. Could be in talks with Bates and/or the Leeds owners?

Believable6 Unbelievable63

He's signing for Monaco {Ed013's Note - Or he was there to watch the Grand Prix and having a holiday}

Agree1 Disagree0

Obviously you missed the fact that there was a small motor car race in Monaco last weekend, I expect there were a LOT of people there recently?
