Ed any news on new manager? you must know something and who would you like to see become new manager? I hope its Warnock if I'm honest {Ed001's Note - as far as I am aware no decision has been made and Redfearn will take charge until such time as a replacement is found.}

Alan Curbishley

No nonsense attractive football, excellent judge of character, good in the transfer market at lower leagues, and not scared to stick the boot in when needed

I know people will click no because they want Jose or Rafa so lets get real here - Alan & Mervyn anyone..?

Believable51 Unbelievable32

Alan was at one piont branded one of the best managers around when he was at Charlton.

We could do a lot worse.

Agree0 Disagree0

Good Manager in his days at Charlton, been out the game for a while now and yes we could do worse. But for me it has to be Neil Warnock.... No Nonsense Manager !

Agree0 Disagree0

I'd take Curbishley any day. We are not going to get Warnock, or any even bigger guns, we don't want Clarke, and I somehow doubt whether we fit the bill for Curbs. But if we can I am behind him all the way.

Agree0 Disagree0

I think he's been out of work since leaving West Ham in Sept 2008 hasn't he? Not that it would affect his managerial skills which are clearly right up there. Does everyone else think he could still do a job?

Agree0 Disagree0

I think he's the sort of manager we should be targeting, but I don't think we can afford him, sorry bates won't shell out the cash required to get him.

Agree0 Disagree0

He is a proven manager been out the game awhile but he has the passion and respect good choice i think

Agree0 Disagree0

Curbs would be a great choice....but would he want it? No one has been able to tempt he back into management so far.

Agree0 Disagree0

Would dearly love this guy at leeds. Football played the right way for the first time in ages. Come to Leeds Alan.

Agree0 Disagree0

Curbs would be a very good choice for us maybe gordon strachan along side himto add a bit of passion to curbsplotting and planning

Agree0 Disagree0

I think it's Curb we'll get... But Redders may well get til the end of the season

SSN reporting that betting on Paul Lambert for next Leeds boss has increased significantly- down from 50-1 to 10-1. I can't see it at all. I would absolutely love it, but it would mean KB paying compensation, PL stepping down a division to work for a lunatic who wont give him a kitty. Wont happen. Wish it would though!

Believable15 Unbelievable39

More chance of Ferguson moving across the Pennines to manage Leeds ! Just coz the odds have shortened, means nothing but some clown with too much money has bet on Lambert
So long as Billy Davis doesn't get the job I don't really care, Warnock would be good

Agree0 Disagree0

Yes please, I mentioned about him a while ago and how he was a fantastic manager and had done wonders with Norwich. Sadly though I don't think he would come and we couldn't afford him.

Agree0 Disagree0

He had already took 2 of are better players away from Leeds what's he gonna do come to Leeds and resign howson and Johnson no chance he will leave Norwich

Agree0 Disagree0

Can I take the time to point out a couple of things to you Leeds fans, No offence but Lambert is never going to leave us to come to run a club that runs on a shoestring, He is working to a 7yr plan,to which he is 5 years in advance of it the plan was to get from lg1 to the prem in 7 years, so the next 5 will be see how far he can take us in that time, So Leeds won't get a lookin, no more than Burnley did last year, Warnock will be your best bet but he will probably walk away come the summer if he gets the no money bull from Bates, Good iuck for the rest of the season

Agree0 Disagree0

Calling him a lunatic is so grossly unfair on lunatics

Agree0 Disagree0

To the arrogant Norwich fan(and you all are) Lambert is just using you as a stepping stone. As soon as an offer from a big club comes along he will be off!

Agree0 Disagree0

o all the posts, a few years ago everyone was saying how good Ian Dowie was for taking palace up. Now look a bloody pundit on sky sports. Same with Aidy Boothroyd and going to be the same with lambert, okay done a good Job with Norwich but that could be said about the other two. We are the third biggest city in the country, one club city, and we are steeped in history so let go getaway manager that will take us back to the premier league not managers that are fly by nights here one day gone the next, anyone remember Brian little John Gregory supposed to be brilliant manages where are they now ?

Agree0 Disagree0

No Norwich fan believes he will never leave us I agree with you,He Is for all said and done learning the Job, Rumour has it he will be poached by Man-u and be groomed as Fergison's replacment, so be it but when ever that happens we will be in a better position to get a good replacment and stay in the Prem, The club will be in a better state of finance as well, we are almost debt free at the moment and with 13000 S/T renewalls already for next season thanks to the Direct Debit scheme we run, and come last deadlione date we stand to have 22000 again and with view to expand we will be doing ok,

looks like clark to me!he hasnt ruled himself out at all!just no contact .....yet!

Believable17 Unbelievable20

I am an Huddersfield fan and Lee Clark loves our Chairman. He would never work for Ken Bates, but get rid of your Chairman and you might have a chance. Bates is ruining your club

How about Mick McCarthy .. i think come Monday he could be out of work, given the choice who would you have NW believable or MM unbelievable

Believable31 Unbelievable38

Could be a good call. He was a Leeds fan as a lad (maybe still is?).

Agree0 Disagree0

ABSOLUTELY NOT, He is no better than SG, just more angry and bent nosed !
He has failed at Sunderland and Wolves plus many others.. Warnock would be a far better choice

Agree0 Disagree0

Leeds fans don't necessarily make good managers!

Agree0 Disagree0

Mick Mcarthy....Your having a laugh. No thanks he will be managing in our league soon that's if they don't sack him first..

Agree0 Disagree0

I agree, having a Leeds fan as manager doesn't always get you where you want to be! Fair play, Grayson got us out of League One, beat the Mancs and overachieved in our Championship return. All good in my eyes! Maybe a complete change and having someone who really hates Leeds (i.e Warnock!) is the way forward!

Agree0 Disagree0

Either of these two guys would be good. They both know how to get clubs into the Premiership and MM knows how to keep them there!

Agree0 Disagree0

McCarthy for me and if they lose against QPR I reckon he could become available.

Agree0 Disagree0

Why might mick mccarthy be out of work, because he struggles at the top level,we need someone young ambitious and energetic to take us to the next level.

Agree0 Disagree0

McCarthy also is the only Manager ( apart from Leeds Legend Big Jack) to have brought Ireland to a World Cup Finals !!

Neil Warnock Will be Leeds manager on Monday 100% KB wants to get to the premier league and KB wants us of his
back ..... NW gets my vote, he will get us back to PL ... also good luck to Larry at his next club, he has been a good friend to Leeds !

Believable42 Unbelievable15

BATES AS NO INSPERATION FOR ANYTHING BUT MONEY

Agree0 Disagree0

I wish SG the best he took us as far as he could. he did bring in a lot of very average players on good wages - just to find they were not good enough, so fair dues to KB. KB is not in the same league as the billionaires, but at least leeds are financially on the right track, just have to wait for a billionaire to come along.

Agree0 Disagree0

On Monday 100% ey? Well done mate... You sources are incredible

Agree0 Disagree0

We dont want Warnocks style of football at Leeds!

Lee Clarks comments today are very interesting, he said until he is told otherwise he is the town manager. He also bigged himself up talking about his record over recent times. Wether we are interested in him or not I think he would be up for Leeds.

Andiroo

Believable13 Unbelievable10

It certainly reads that way.. He totally swerved the direct Q of would you be interested... OF course he'd be interested, just whether or not Leeds would agree a severence package . SG to Town ?

Agree0 Disagree0

Hope not what has he won or has he taken any team into premiership? no!

Agree0 Disagree0

I am an Huddersfield fan and Lee Clark loves our manager for the support he has been given. He would never come to Leeds whilst Ken Bates is Chairman - you need to get rid of your Chairman as he is ruining your club

Agree0 Disagree0

Lee clark for leeds! give your head a shake, we need proven manager like nw or alan c not a jumped georgie who's done nowt {Ed013's Note -Have you read the article in the Yorks Post? Loves himself! I agree mate, we need better}

Warnock is in the mix
as is Dave jones as a backup if...
Warnock says no and the man that
appears to be favourite fo the job....
Alan Curbishley!

Seems Ken isgoing to offer him a route
back into a big club

Remember who his assistant was at
Charlton?

Our Chief Scout.. Mervyn Day!

He has a track record of success and
promotion at the top level and he
undoubtedly will represent good
value for money as out of work!

Paul Lambert to be named as new manager, his odds have been slashed from 100/1 to 12/1 in an hour this morning !

Believable6 Unbelievable29

Bookies seldom lose money. What the odds say mean little, they are to do with how much is being bet and on who.

If it was so easy then all anyone would have to do would be to bet on the favourite at the last minute, simples.

Get a good pair of gloves and try to get a grip on reality.

Agree0 Disagree0

Paul Lambert will not go to a small club like Leeds, that only have history to live on and no money to build with because the crook Bates pockets everything, remember what he did at Chelsea

I know this is a Rumours Site, but let's look at the facts as well. The only really believe stories come from the Leeds Website:

"Leeds United can confirm that the club has been inundated with credible approaches for the vacant managerial position since the departure of Simon Grayson and his staff on Wednesday.

The club will begin the process of examining the expressions of interest early next week.

We can confirm at this stage that no approaches have been made, either directly or indirectly, to potential candidates, either in work or currently looking for employment, although we have been offered the services of many who are currently in work."

Believable14 Unbelievable4

Hmmmm you believe the OS??

Nobody is leaving ,,,,,,Gradel, Howson. Grayson ....

Agree0 Disagree0

Do you actually read the site every day. It is full of inaccuaracies and often condradictory. No conspiracy theory here, just reality it just keeps us supportters ill informed and as usual does show any respect to Leeds United fans.

it clearly says on o/s we have approached noone at all but theres been lots of cvs coming in.
all posts about someone been manager this weekend are rubbish.bates coming over from monaco monday when things will start to roll.its warnock for me and please def a no for clarke or bruce

Believable7 Unbelievable3

They said this because the 1s they have approached have turned Leeds down

Neil Aspin?

Currently doing a great job at Halifax, he Supporter Leeds, ex-Leeds player and he would be a cheaper option

Believable6 Unbelievable23

Thats the problem if we did get him it would be because he so cheap

Agree0 Disagree0

Neil Aspin!what a star he was in the White shirt, nice to see him doing well at Halifax.MOT

Agree0 Disagree0

No disrespect to Neil Aspin, but surely we need a manager with some fight and background, not an ex-player with little experience of the size of the job in hand. Bates will eat him alive, so probably an option. Bring on Lambert. MOT.

Agree0 Disagree0

Never never never!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! load of rubbish keep looking

Agree0 Disagree0

Brill full back for the club in the 80's. Maybe a good defensive coach for us but not a manager.

Agree0 Disagree0

03 Feb 2012 10:08:37
warnock 9/4 for job clarke was 25/1 now down to 5/4 favourite for job! i live in huuds too and town are holding a press conference today so looks like we have got clarke!

Believable12 Unbelievable10

Think you will find Huddersfield will have a press conference every Friday more than likely asking questions about their big game against MK Dons tomorrow. No doubt the vacant Leeds role will come up in the press conference though

Agree0 Disagree0

Probably to tell us that Clarke is going
nowhere

Agree0 Disagree0

Would much rather have grayson than clark, hes spent loads of money and their still in league 1,

Agree0 Disagree0

It will be Dave Jones who will be installed as favourite come Monday

Agree0 Disagree0

03 Feb 2012 09:31:47
lets have a vote believable if u want warnock or unbelievable if u dont... i for one would did,nt like the guy in the past but dont seem to mind him now he,s hard faced it might be just the type of manager we need.. vote now guys

Believable49 Unbelievable25

Radebe is surely the man to take us forward now...

Believable6 Unbelievable37

Yes,due to his impressive managerial record to date and experience at this level, keep it real bud.

Agree0 Disagree0

Never let a legend take over - if he got us relergated fans would only remember him as a rubbish manager not the world class player he was.

Agree0 Disagree0

Radebe's a legend and a great bloke but what are his managerial credentials like? he doesn't have any.

Agree0 Disagree0

Lucas is a legend in his own right, if he messed up as a manager how would that look!

A coach defo but a manager?

let sleeping dogs lie and all that

Agree0 Disagree0

He's said he'd consider being a coach at Leeds. He wouldnt be a manager

Agree0 Disagree0

Love the man but please give your self a shake

Agree0 Disagree0

Best centre back britatins ever seen :) but come on manager i dont think so due to lack of experiance and being out the game for a while

Agree0 Disagree0

Maybe as part of the coaching team, to have some input on defensive issues.

Agree0 Disagree0

Neil Warnock Will be Leeds manager on Monday absolutely 100% Bates wants to get to the premier league this season so bad, all he's concerned about is keeping his investment safe so he can recoup the money he's invested and make a profit, I thought Simon was a great manager for us, but we need someone who is not afraid to axe under performing players, I'm all for Warnock!

Believable26 Unbelievable12

The bookies are very rarely wrong and lee clark is odds on favourite now!! so we will see,i just hope its anyone except warcock!! can stand him!!

Agree0 Disagree0

Bates won"t go for Warnock because he isn"t a yes man

Agree0 Disagree0

Ken BAtes hasn't invested any money in Leeds United. He openly admits this. The whole point of the hotel project is to make the club generate a huge amount of income which he can then trouser, without spending a dime of his own considerable fortune.

Agree0 Disagree0

If he aint spending any money on the hotel thing tell me how he gets it built for nowt and give me the builders no i need a conservatory

Agree0 Disagree0

Trying to copy a big club like us at Norwich by building a Hotel don't make you a big club, but the Hotel at Carrow road is a waste of space, we could have joined the Jarrold and Barclay and put an extra 2000 seats on the corner which would have been for visiting fans. the club gets nothing for having an empty hotel for most part of the year

Agree0 Disagree0
