Apparently after Johnny Russell from Dundee, young quick forward, to me seems good along with his team mate Gary Mackay Steven another quality pacey winger and would inject a bit of pace into team, kilgallon and gradel would be good and a young creative midfielder to start dominating midfield again like start of last season!

I wouldnt mind little jimmy floyd hasselbaink he s said he s willing, to leave and he would be able to get goals in the championship wouldnt cost much, just look what his uncle did for us leeds 4 life h, p, c.

Got mackay Steven and Russell on fifa lol. Both good players on there but that probably means nothing in truth

Rumoured that Warnock is thinking about bringing in Arshavin and getting Ramsey on loan.

Looks like the Blackstock/Beccio deal may be more than a rumour. Been mentioned on Nottingham local radio and My mate who has contacts at Forest says that some of the players are talking like its a done deal.

Can't see LB going to Forest tbh

Are you a forest fan. I would put my house on that not happening why the hell would we swap 19 goal becchio for a back up striker Ross mac, somma and dioufy are better than him

Forest have openly said they want becchio and will make an offer for him but NW has said becchio is off limits

Seriously mate think about it, financially secure clubs, neither has to sell and Becchio is contracted for another 18 months with 18 goals so far this season, even NW said Beccs goes nowhere why would we swap or even contemplate replacing him with Blackstock ?
Doesnt make sense whatsoever !
Love Beccs always have, his goals and workrate are second to none.

Why would Becchio move to another middle of the road Championship club when lowerPremiership clubs would probably take a gamble on him?

Blackstock will join Leeds as a back up striker, this has got up the noses of florist fans as they love blackstock, so all these rumours about becchio are made up

Blackstock is a great player, can see him coming to leeds as he has not been offered a new contract, i can see a swap deal lined up involving cash for becchio...john percy (telegraph) has also tweeted this and his info is usually rock solid.

Neill Warnock has reportedly many targets. He has singled out three players who are; Max Gradel, Dexter Blackstock and Jermaine Jenas. If he cannot bring Jenas in he will turn his intentions to Lewis Mcgugan.

How do you know this?

If the alternative is Mcgugan why not chase him over Jermaine 'Injury' Jenas.

For everyone moaning/worrying about the (potential) blackstock signing. Neil Warnock stated he wanted another striker so that becchio isn't consistently relied on even when he is knackered. Blackstock is very similar in playing style but is definitely not a replacement.

This would be a really bad signing probably on a par with the varney signing everyone apart from the people calling the shots knew he was average at best and thats putting it politely , blackstock is not prolific and never will be if this is our BIG signing then mid to lower table here we come

Seems to be flying around everywhere this one so probably a good deal of truth to it.
Reports on the value of the fee vary a large amount though, from 700k-2m. 1.3m seems to be the most common, could just be because that's in the middle.
Huge difference in suggested price says to me that it will probs be the lower end (700k-1m) with performance based add-ons. Ok signing but don't think he would make the step up if we scraped promotion this season.

Do you think he is a Becchio replacement?

He'd probably be backup to Becchio, so if he gets knackered or injured, we have a secondary man to fill the same role.

I have it on concrete authority, Blackstock is very close to agreeing a new deal at Forest, no chance of him leaving 100% rubber stamp

if its true that we have had 1.3 mil accepted by forest for dexter blackstock then thats showing gfh are willing to invest .think 1.3 a little too much though

Forest Fan here and if it is 1.3 mil I think that's great for us. He has only got a few month remaining on his contract and he wasn't going to sign a new one. Not to mention every game he plays, he runs like he has already played 90 minutes of football before starting.

Where you hear that we bid 1.3m mate?

If we can't replace Becchio together with another quality striker for 4m it's not going to happen.

I honestly dont believe the OP however what i will say is if you pay your money through the turnstiles or buy some sort of merchandise then you are entitled to your say whether that be a whinge or praise. Blackstock is an overrated, overpaid, third rate, bench warming, under achieving, waste of money especially that kind of money.

Erm maybe this post isn't as stupid as it sounds and I for one question anybody who goes on about our history.

Yes we in the PAST have won trophies, competed in Europe, but lets not forget so have the likes of forest and Blackburn and they are hardly top class teams nowadays!

And like it or loath it they are playing premiership football week in week out, oh and they are also paying premiership wages too! Don't ever rely on the nostalgia when it comes to players, they certainly won't so why should we??

Blackstock looks like a Becchio replacement to me, so maybe this rumour is true

Norwich were serious contenders back when the Premier league started not so long ago and we, after sealing the last League Division 1 trophy before the Premier League, were set for seasons of mediocrity.
There's short memories and just plain disrespect of our own history as much as any other club's.

Norwich have never been serious contenders are a 1 team county with a captive audience. Surely then this all comes down to how you measure a "big" club - no of fans - capacity of stadium no its none of those its what you have won! You cannot look at the premiership and say the likes of Norwich Stoke Wigan Reading Southampton Fulham QPR are big clubs ! Its a huge achievementl to get to to the top flight but they all remain small clubs in a big league fighting to survive and compete with clubs at the same level around the bottom half of the prem. You cannot question history or pedigree and these are determinate in calling your self a big club ! We will be back MOT

To be fair to Norwich, they did finish 3rd in the Premier League in 1993. That's still nothing compared to our history, and it's the best they've ever done.
