Just heard from a good source that Paddy Kenny signed today and Richard Keogh will be signing tomorrow both will be unvailed Friday he thinks. There will be one other this week or Monday, thinks its Varney but not sure O.W

Why didnt you put you think Paddy has signed instead of this source sh-te,our own OS,Skysports,LUST,etc,etc,will know long before your source,so STFU about sources.

Surely another CB, a quality RB & CM should be our main priorities at the moment. Hopefully we will hear something soon about future signings/investment/takeover because the suspense is killing me! Hearing and understanding that takeover deal is DONE!!!!!! The contracts guaranteeing the takeover are only contingent on 1 thing. The sun coming up on Friday morning!! The club are now preparing for a lot of PR that inevitably follow such a big change and are hotly pursuing their transfer targets but they are cleverly stalling on agreeing transfer fees but keeping the deals alive by telling the respective selling club formal bids follow on Monday or Tuesday of next week!

Get ready for happy freaky Friday followed by manic Monday and transfer targets Tuesday!!

You still effectively bid by offering a contact, and he will decide which contract he wants. It is a bid really.

Have it on good authority takeover will not happen until after July 12th. Leeds exited Administration on 11th July 2007. There was a clause that creditors got a percentage of any profits made should the club be sold within 5 Years.
It is called an anti -embarrasment clause - strange name but true.

To the chap who 'works in commercial law'; such clauses are actually quite common. When you've finished the photo-copying, ask one of those actual lawyers you work for.
Original poster; I think you're confusing clauses. Previous 'official' owner of Leeds was FSF. Sold last year to Ken Bates.
Any clause in the CVA guaranteeing creditors with a portion of the sale profits within a certain period would have expired with the sale in 2011 unless otherwise stated in the CVA.
Whatever 'good authority' you've been speaking to seems less credible. There is a 'reported' clause in the CVA which must be honoured - placed by HMRC - ensuring a 10 million-or-so payment if LUFC return to the Premiership within 10 years of the CVA. If this is not honoured, HMRC can easily issue another winding-up order on Leeds United.
This is not anti-embarassment protection as such and is not linked in any way with the sale or purchase of the club, only the club's potential revenue streams.

What a crock. First, no such thing as an anti-embarrassment clause. I know. I am a lawyer. Second, the club making a profit means LUFC the company making a profit. Accordingly, the trigger is not who owns them it's the books. Consequently, any takeover would be irrelevant on your own argument. Takeovers don't create a profit for the company. They create a taxable capital gain (unless you live in Monaco) for the owner. Last time I checked Ken Bates is not Leeds United and Leeds United is certainly not Ken Bates. Takeover will happen Friday in my view, the day most lawyers prefer for legal completion.

OK, let's just wait and see. Just hope we're not all going to be embarrassed after all this frenzy of speculation! Chapel A

As i stated earlier my contact, who is working on the deal at present and is limited to what he can reveal, informed me that the Due Dilligence is ongoing at the minute...however he has just informed me that he has just booked himself a holiday for which he shall be leaving on Friday...now i am not saying that this is his "secretive" way of telling me everything is sorted, but I would certainly hope that it is!! I remember the previous post and it being one of the few posts that shows to have some credibility. Ill take this as a strong indications this are nearly complete! people may say we already knew that but these stories of delayed money transfers are utter rubbish with no proof! Media would think twice about this one, even if they were quietly given the whole story by Ken Bates, himself.
If printed, a witchhunt and litigation could follow where sources are required to be named in a civil court.
This would be a bad thing for the press as confidentiality agreements broken couldn't be fended off with the press claiming confidentiality for their sources.
Anyone with reliable information on this would rightly be cagey about revealing much at all... but that's precisely why we're in this situation at the moment. Nobody officially saying a thing and everyone rightly scared to speak much even if they do know something.
The speculation's been fun, though. Got to admit that.

Leeds United need to keep decent player's like Adam Clayton, Robert Snodgrass,Ross McCormack & Aide White! Keeping these 4 would be better than a lot of signing's rumoured to be linked to us at present! And definitely don't sell them to rival's Eg Clayton linked to Huddersfield Town FC! Coventry player of the season last two seasons, at championship level. def good enough for me. neil.

He won every player award possible at Cov last year, put him at the heart of the back 4 with Pearce and we have 2 centre backs who scooped A LOT of player awards last season at their respective clubs, which can only be a positive.

One man doesn't get a team relegated......leeds had a disappointing season but it doesn't make Snodgrass a poor player, or change the fact Ross bagged touching 20 goals. There can be positives to come out of poor clubs, regardless of where they finish in the league. I would certainly be happy if we pip Cardiff, Huddersfield and Bristol city to his signature!

Won player of the year award 2010-2011, and won every award possible for Coventry last season at championship level and only 25. Sounds good enough to me.
