Wolves Manager Mick Mcarthy is lining up a move for Leeds Midfielder Jonny Howson in January
Source: Daily Star
A swap for keogh would be a great move!
I would accept anything in the region of 2.99 and a wispa
Heard he were at game Wednesday so has seen something in Howson for right back?
I agree that Jonny is not having his best season and maybe he needs benching for a couple of games until he sorts himself out, as we have seen in the past hie is superb. get behind him as we want to keep our best players especially when they are home grown.
If he shows the lack of commitment he already has to Leeds he can go. Have always been a fan but to me he seems to be uninterested
I hope so. Most overated player ever. When will Grayson wake up and drop him?
I will pay £10 towards his wages for him to go Gj
I cant understand why premier league managers are eyeing him up when hes not exactly setting the championship on fire at the moment
Let him go he's a lightweight who goes missing when the team has to dig in.
Captain Howson is a joke and
playing for Leeds is not a joking matter.
Pity Larry cant go with him.
Premier league clubs want him because he's a very good player who doesn't fit the system his current club are playing. he would be immense playing off Kevin Doyle IMO
It amazes me that People slag off our players who are coveted by premiership teams. I don't know who they expect to see playing for Leeds, but watch the premiership and tell me that some of the players playing there would be better than how son. And on Keogh, great link player but he needs to score more goals, no one else seems to be chipping in apart from McCormack and O'dea!
Would Mcarthy be interested in a swap deal...! Howson for Hammill
Awesome
Good, its Wolves that are interested guys not any of the top teams !!!! doesn,t that tell its own story, probaly our worst player this season so far !!!!!
Howson was good last year and he will come good this year now lay off, hes not committed?.. are you stupid hes leeds through and through
Hope mick stays well clear mates a leeds
fan and tells me he his one of the most
overated players in the champioship
Im Leeds through and through but doesnt make me a premiership player. Grow up and take those blinkers off he has been terrible this season and Grayson needs to drop him
I agree, Jonny hasn't had a good one so far but he'll come good again. Selling him isn't the answer but dropping him may kick start his form. He seems to have taken Kilkenny's place as negative midfielder.
Swap deal for Keogh and Hammill/Kightly would interest me tbh, and on this seasons form i would snap Mick McCarthys hand off!
Although we are still fairly light in the centre-mid department :/
MOT!
Do any of you watch the games? Last season johnny was playing a more attacking role pushing up with the attack but the same role clayton has this season, johnny seems to be playing a more defensive role now n stays back to guard while the rest push, obviously this is wot SG tells him to do, criticise him all u want but I don't think he is doing that bad of a job just not getting goals, do u all really think we can afford to lose another midfielder then take about 10 trailists on but to get some1 rubbish at the end of it all on a free and a bag of crisps a week as wages
Howson hasn't become a bad player; maybe it's the job that he has been given doesn't bring out the best in him. Howson is at his best going forward but seems to be trying to do the job of a holding midfielder which he isn't and never will be. Last year we had Kilkenny who did the job there-although for some reason he did not seem to be liked by the fans- and this allowed Howson to do what he is best at
Jonnny is leeds though and though and a very good attacking mid fielder not a holding midfielder Simon needs to play him in is best position everybody else can see it except Simon, get behind jonny let's have less of the negative jibes.
Same crap as usual. Lets slag of our players and they you wander why they want to leave. He isnt playing the same position as last year which is why he isnt shining. odd that the player that is shining is clayton who is the one going forward (howsons role last year) bought time you all started getting behind the team rather than slating people all the time
Wolves are a premiership club, but for how long? its not like scum the gooners or moneybags city are interested in him, which to me tells its own story!

Just seen on Sky News that Leeds are set to sign Alex Macarthy from reading and will be in the net for the Leicester game. He is 21 years old and has made 1 appearance for Reading. What are your thoughts? I know very little about him and would of thought we would go for an experience keeper for a months loan. Maybe this is the cheap option! NR
MOT
Had a stormer against us last year and only kept out of Reading team by a keeper in fine form, should be number 1 choice at Reading, and also for us
Cheap would not come into it. Availabilility of a good keeper at short notice to replace the worst man ever to pull on a Leeds shirt (well along with Brolin and Barmby). A reasoable resolution to an appalling situation, and should have happened after Rachubka's first clanger. If it was going to go belly up, you would know it would against his old club.
Bizarre choice. unless he's to sit on the bench while Cairns gets a run.
This is an excellent signing. Very astute. Young and hungry and as the earlier poster suggested, he should be Reading's number one. It is a good move from McDermot...his young gun gets first team games at a big club and when he returns he'll have two keepers fighting for that jersey.
I live 10 mins from Yeovil although I'm a Leeds fan and he was on loan to them for a season. Played over 44 games for them. So has league experience and apparently is quite solid and acrobatic as well as being a fan favourite according to lots of my friends in the area.
M.O.M. against Leeds lass seasonso his no mug
I would be better than Rabwathisname and i am 51 next! This lad is great signing was MOM against us last season so give SG some credit for getting him in, just a pity he didnt do it after Peterborough game. Cairns will get his chance but because we havent entered a team in a competitive league the likes of Cairns and Thompson etc arent getting competitive games. Bad decision if you ask me because it gives the younger lads experience and mgr has faith in putting them in first team when needed.

just got back from working in washington in the north east and the lads up there tell me that craig gordon has been offered to leeds for a month has sunderland can't agree to more incase they pick up an injury, this deal suits both partirs and will almost certainly happen before sundays trip to leicester

Oh wait I was right. And yes I do play fifa. But oh well Bet you feel silly
Haha @ first comment...
Get back to playing your Football Manager 2012...
Is this really the best goalkeeper we could have got ??
Yes he is the best keeper we could have got, certainly within a 2 day window. Top notch keeper who would make quite a few premiership teams. Potential future England keeper who single handedly cost us two points last season.
Wouldn't mind trying to sign him in Jan, top keeper for the future, 6ft 4" and dictates his area, for a young lad he has played quite a few 1st team games, on loan and for parent club, well thought of by some big names in the game, some say possibly England keeper one day.
