Leeds to offer myler and poloskei one year contracts to boost numbers. Also seems we are looking for defensive cover. These are cheaper than loan market and shows the club are desperate due to Bates holding back ob signing deal till his bid for pompey is accepted.

Nobody has mentioned the rumour that was goin around on Sat,I heard it from a member of staff the rumour was,the reason takeover is taking so long is because ken Bates is desperate to keep 20% of the club,then if we went up it would be worth 4 or 5 times what its worth now just a thought,sounds like a trick Bates would pull.

No I haven't,if you went to the games and actually become a familiar face with the staff you will now and again get to know some rumours,oh by the way this rumour was from a member of the superstore staff, same one who told me 2 month ago that the takeover would not happen because of certain clauses Mr Bates wanted in the contract.

Member of the superstore staff ! they dont even know hw much a leeds shirt costs let alone what the hold up is with the TO.

Why keep 20% and not 30%?

If him keeping 20% of the shares bothers the potential owners i am very very worried about them. This is why, they would still be majority shareholders and Bates would have no say whatsoever on how the club is run. Secondly the only way that 20% would affect them is if they sold they would obviously have less to sell and if we got to prem and they sold they would make less profit, apart from them wanting to resell for more it would have no effect. As a result if it is stalling on that it just looks like another business project but with different owners this time.

Update.

I understand that this week is make or break for the takeover. The parties are meeting up to thrash out some agreement around the indemnity - this being what has held up the signing. The source this is from appears to be quite hopeful that there is a deal to be done.

So let's pray for the resolution we all want. We will certainly hear from the Supporters Trust this week, I would guess.

Indemnity was sorted at the weekend apparently and this has been reported on a number of sites the issue is now who actually owns the ground as "the current owners" want to keep the "current arrangement" eg the club paying rent and the new owners want to buy the ground outright as part of the takeover, so how they resolve this one is anyone's guess

If it to do with buying the ground then I wouldn't have thought it would be a major issue. I have always been under the impression that there is a fixed price for the buy-back, �14M.
