Jim Magilton the former ipswich and qpr manager has thrown his hat in to the ring for the Leeds manager job.

Believable9 Unbelievable31

Don't know much about him as a manager although I do remember him scoring the winner for Oxford in front of the kop, but I wouldn't hold that against him.

Agree0 Disagree0

No thanks Jim

My mates says he was a passing style of football manager at Ipswich, similar to the way he played. Was sacked by Ipswich and QPR before going to Melbourne in Australia and has the worst record ever there with a win %age of just 16%.
Not to be considered seriously as a contender.

I know who we are after. GFH are "impressed" by McDermott and he will go very close to being appointed. Poyet is considered too expensive. DOL viewed as past his sell by and psychologically damaged. But the man they are keeping tabs on is a certain Rafa Benitez who becomes available at the of the season. Sounds far-fetched at first but is it? He's already been and done it. It's not like he needs to win trophies to prove himself. Wants to stay in English football. Where else is there to go and with the potential? This could be a different project for him. Football has changed and is changing. Wouldn't be surprised to see such an appointment. We will pay him a wage not top brass but he don't exactly need the money. You heard it here first.

Congratulations on the finest work of fiction I've ever read!

Rafa to Leeds?? Are we really that deluded?

We're not famous anymore! It will be McDermott because he is cheap, knows the lower leagues and dosnt have an ego.

Rafa, I don't think I've ever laughed so much!

I've been saying the same about Mourinho, lol, thinking he was enough of a maverick to do something completely random like this, winding my Chelsea mates up. And maybe Benitez is also as much of a maverick! Cracking rumour, I like it!

Agree0 Disagree0

I love it! Its totally bonkers but I would love to have Rafa as the Gaffa!

Sounds really weird this one. but I've heard this from a source in Middle East. McDermott would show a lack of ambition to me. I still think poyets the man though. The reason is because when it was muted that Warnock was away, coincidentally poyet came out of the blue from no where and said he wanted to manage Leeds. no such thing as coincidence

Yes its true lads brown has signed another 12 month contract extension due to the amount off games he's played this season. So this explains why wornock kept playing him week in week out. 1 last favour for your mate eh Neil.

Believable27 Unbelievable2

Had hoped Browne, a dinosaur and rash tackler who plays the players rather than the ball, would follow Warnock out the door. Hopefully the New Manager will get rid of him

I can't believe this, what else have people got in their contracts its like eastender s our club but we would call it the Yorkshire puddings.

One of the only committed tacklers we have

Ha my gran is better than him and more fitter we need to give our youth a chance, not give him his last pay check it just proves what warlock was all about at Leeds, sending a striker we could have done with out on loan to his beloved Sheffield united, and giving his drinking buddies favours glad your gone warlock and brown you might aswell take up brown.

Worst player in a leeds shirt apart from Brolin!

Lets not be short sighted here, fully committed (at times over committed) but could be an inspiration to the young ones on how to give 100 o/o

I'm surprised our team don't use access busses to away games that's what all the other old people use or even better they could use there bus passes.

Agree0 Disagree0

Fellow MOTTERS,

Hold up a second, were you all calling for his head when he signed or when he put on the shirt and captained us to a famous victory against spurs?

Fair enough he can't pass, he can't shoot, he can barely walk Ffs but I for one would rather have a team of Michael browns that play with their heart on their sleeve rather than your typical pre madonna footballer you see hanging around local brothels posing with their bottle of grey goose vodka!

And as previous posters have suggested, could be suitable for a coaching position!

Disagree all you want but I for one think Michael brown deserves a year! Whether its to help mature players like Dawson or put a shirt on when called upon!

Anyone who pulls on the white ( or blue) (or black and illuminous yellow/green) of my beloved LEEDS UNITED will do for me!

Redfearn will definitely be in charge for at least the next couple of games, the board want to see how he does in the first couple of games before deciding whether they have to rush to sign a new guy to stave off relegation or they can rely on Redfearn. If they can wait till summer then they will take there time before making any announcement. Chairmen at this time of year are cagey about there managers being spoken too in case it affects there current teams progress so any talks will be kept quiet till the season ends. As far as I know the shortlist so far is mainly unemployed managers, a lot cheaper as no compensation to be paid, and also they can jump in quickly if Redfearn hits trouble, but also some that are employed that they would like the chance to talk to.

Martinez and Wigan will mutualy part company at the end of the season, I think we should make him an offer before a prem club does.

Believable15 Unbelievable42

He'll be off to Everton

Agree0 Disagree0

Didn't he turn down Liverpool and Villa. Why do you think he would come to us?

Agree1 Disagree0

If this is true, I highly doubt he will drop into the championship especually if the everton job is up for grabs

Agree0 Disagree0

I think he will come to us because I hold Leeds utd in high esteem and consider us to be a sleeping giant, obviously unlike yourself who feel liverpool and villa are better clubs than us

Agree0 Disagree0

He is my favourite manager by a long way but is far to good for us. If Wigan go down why would he not stay with them if he wanted to be in the championship?

Agree0 Disagree0

No chance what so ever
