Heard from a source that several league one clubs have started a "bidding war" for Ramon Nunez.

Personelly, I think he'd do great in a lower league. How much would you guys be happy with for him?

Id prefer to keep him, could still do a job, particularly as a late impact plater. JH

Anything we get for Ramon will be a bonus. As for Nunez I hope he goes to a club that appreciate him and gives him a proper FIRST TEAM shot. he's likeable and a great professional.
In a world of greedy, mercenary footballers he has been fully committed to Leeds Utd & if anything the club have let HIM down not giving him a real shot.
I genuinely wish him all the luck in the world and will post thanks to him when he goes.

Warnock threw him on before the end of last season. He played ok but too late to influence much.
I for one hope he stays and gets a decent run of games. Jury still out as we haven't seen nearly enough of him to judge properly.

Would love to see him signed if I supported a league one club. Really feel that we just didn't manage to realise his full potential. MOT.

He's brilliant but not good for the championship. He should play for us in the prem cos you need tricky players like him in the team.

I for one would love to see him go to Doncaster, where I'm sure he will get a good run in the team n show everyone why he was signed on at Leeds

Good luck to Nunez, a good guy that deserves a break, he would be a great asset for a lower league team

I know he is transfer listed but I would like to see him play some of the pre-season games and let Neil decide then.

Decent player never really had the chance to play in his position . he scoffed way too many pies when he was told to beef up a bit but still worth a few hundred k maybe to a lower league team

I don't think a single protestor was angry that their expectations were unfulfilled.
Just fed up of the constant revolving-door transfer policy which sees our better players stripped from the club for cash which was never reinvested in the playing staff.
Leeds fans haven't dared raise their expectations for a decade, now so, how about you back off and let us dream a bit, huh?
Could be one of the world's richest or it could be a consortium of the well heeled... either way, a change of ownership is absolutely necessary to keep the soul of Leeds United alive.
If just a couple of million is spent bringing in players of any realistic quality, then maybe we might start believing in our great club, once again.

It was only due to o financial implosion that we fell from the position to challenge for such honours. We are generally regarded as one of the top ten clubs in England with regard to fan support, facilities and the like. We are one of the few clubs who enjoy a global fan base, and are located in a one-club city, which is one of the biggest in the country.

Combine all those things together, along with the right Manager and decent financial support and there is absolutely no reason why we wouldn't be able to challenge the top clubs again in the coming years.

I agree with jim but i would say we are easy in the top six i class a club on the amount a club take away chelsea dont take away what we and without the mad russians money thay would only be a yoyo club and lets face it most of the the prem is full small clubs such as wigan norwich swansea shamton even stoke arnt that big and without romans money chelsea so has for leeds if thay could get a backer i think leeds could be among the top six easy and no way lose as mutch money as chelsea do every year and man city we are biger than them with the backing gazza

Greater travelling support doesn't say anything about the size of your club, just the dedication of your supporters.
On the other hand, our time in League One skewed the season's average attendance figures for almost every club, with a few clubs selling more than double the seats when the Mighty Whites marched in.

Takeover to be announced on the 12th of July by a middle eastern business group. Robert Snodgrass, Michael Brown & Aidan White will sign new contracts (White, brown offered more than previous offer) and Paddy Kenny will sign. In next two weeks, Lee Peltier, Jermaine Beckford, Luke Chambers & Luke Varney will sign. Andy Lonergan will leave as well as Ramon Nunez, Adam Clayton & Billy Paynter. This is what I heard so it's just a rumour! DON'T HAVE A GO! {Ed013's Note - You shouldn't have to say DON'T HAVE A GO. Fellow fans shouldn't be arguing like this, however, due to trouble makers and liars I can understand the tension}

The latest I've heard is any takeover wont be completed until 12th July as any takeover in the first 5 years of exiting administration(which we did on 11th July 2007) would mean the new owners would be liable to repayments to creditors. That's only what I heard I'm not sure if that's the case.

Not having a go but you just made that whole thing up using bits of other rumours.

Will people please understand that there is no such clause relating to 5 years in the final approved CVA. The only outstanding payment to creditors is the £4.75m due if Leeds are promoted to the Premier League by 2017.
I have posted this on several occasions and you can check the last set of accounts to confirm this or @andrewhaigh who has tweeted a comment today confirming there is no such clause.

Chambers waiting on forest takeover and if he aint offered a deal will go to ipswich.

Varney has released a statement saying that he is close to signing a deal with a club maybe us? if so the investment cannot be to far off being sealed because i cannot see bates spending before he leaves and we are apparently close to signing kenny Peltier and maybe chambers eventually it seems as Leeds are starting to put the pieces of the puzzle back together im not saying champions league it 3/4 years like some ill just be happy to get back to the prem where we belong and get the atmosphere back at Elland Road like the old days MOT

Don't know how true this is, however i have heard the takeover will go ahead on the 12 th july. The reason behind the hold up is that we came out of administration on the 11th july 2007, apparently the creditors would be owed money if the club was sold within a 5 year period.
THIS IS JUST A RUMOUR, im not claiming to be in the know before any one says

Leeds exited administration on july 11th 2007.
With a deal that if Bates sold Leeds he would have to give x amount of money to administrators.
Therefore he will wait to announce the deal until July 12th (next Thursday).
Also expect that alot of signings are made on that day.

The takeover has gone through but they won't announce it until the date when Bates doesn't have to pay owt to the creditors. That's why players are being signed already.

This is not true. The rumours about these are all based on the original CVA and not the final version which LUFC exited on. All the initial payments to creditors are now complete as reported by the accountants around 6-8 weeks ago.
The only sum legally outstanding to creditors is £4.75m payable unto 2017 in the event that LUFC are promoted to the Premiership.
If you need proof then check the last set of accounts.

If deal already done and any creditor payments were due then they would have to pay them. doesn't matter wether it is announced or not, legal contracts ect. fool

I'm sorry but this is all just a logic your minds put together, getting it down on the net just helps convince you it's true.

Leeds to sign tommy smith of qpr. Personally I don't rate him too much and think we should be lookin for younger what do u think

Tommy Smith's always had something about him. Never reached the potential he showed in his early years but would still be a vast improvement over Paynter as a squad option.
Welcome addition, if it happens.

Definately agree we should look at bringing in young hungry players, i think connor wickham would be a good signing

Adam Clayton is set to join the Terriers (Huddersfield Town) for a fee between £500k-£700k. Clayton wants to go as he thinks Simon Grayson will play him more than under Warnock.

It wasn't a case of Clayton wanting to go, rather Warnock placing him on the transfer list. Hopefully Clayton will decide to stay put, see out his contract and fight for his place. He had a decent first season last year and if he can improve on that will be a good option to have in midfield
