Takeover will be off tomorrow GUARENTEED !
On another page i found that recent KEY meetings were mot met and that consortiums are looking to pull the plug

Believable45 Unbelievable19

From what I can gather from various sources on the web, is that the consortium want to push the deal through and are going to give KB an ultimatum. Saying that, I also believe that it will collapse after the meeting but only because KB will be unwilling to sell.

Bates is going to bleed every single one of us dry. Doesnt care about the future of this great club,..as long as bates is at leeds we will NEVER get back to the prem. we are going to have to force him out, the only way will be to BOYCOTT ER, BOYCOTT LUFC MERCHANDISE, ST holders dont buy anything when at ER. We all know any profit will not be invested in the team anyway so no notion of harming the club.
LLHB Bates out, MOT

Agree1 Disagree2

I don't see what Bates gets out of it if he doesn't sell. The season ticket money for the next two years has gone, so he won't get any cash from that. Maybe he does own the ground and Thorp Arch and plans to sell at a later date, but if he doesn't what does he gain from not selling? I don't know approx how many season ticket holders we have, but say 10,000 - If our attendences drop under 20,000 he still has to pay the players and everybody else from that cash, so there aint massive profit there. I just don't understand what he gets from not selling our club.

JT

Agree0 Disagree0

I think it all hinges around the future value of the club. Let's say we go up this year how many million is that worth on top of the 50mil valuation. I think (I don't know) but who really does on here, that KB wants a cut of that future profit should it happen. A bit like selling a player and then getting extra payment should they move on for a big fee or represent his country etc. As KB has been chairman through some pretty rough times would you want the same, I know I would and I can't stand the fella!

Agree0 Disagree0

Then again Bates might be trying to do the best thing for Leeds United.

Article from Fulham Chronicle;LEEDS United's plans to take Shaun Derry on loan have been scuppered after the midfielder was included in QPR's 25-man squad.

The Chronicle understands former boss Neil Warnock was keen to bring the 34-year-old back to Yorkshire for a second spell at Elland Road.

Believable13 Unbelievable21

Thank god for that

Agree4 Disagree0

This i feel this is true but i really hope he doesnt come back as i felt he was awful and too slow last time he was playing for us,there must be better loan signings out there who could do a far better job for us,i would like to see younger players from the bigger clubs being taken on loan, markymafia

Agree1 Disagree0

He was one of our better players when he was here last time so when people slate him i have to question their ignorance when it comes to football. It seems like some football fans think if you dont score goals and create a massive threat when you go forward you are a bad player. He was more of a defensive cm but he was a quality one and if he is that bad how come he was a massive part and one of the first names on the team sheet in QPR's promotion winning campaign?

No uncontracted players will sign for Leeds unless the takeover happens. I say uncontracted instead of free because anyone who is good enough for Leeds even as a squad player will want a signing on fee and a decent wage, money Leeds don't have. Not many players will take large paycuts to sign for us, Diouf being an exception to the rule. Expect a few loan deals to happen to fill the gaps till christmas and then Warnock can assess the squad, league position and money available to see how he progresses from there.

Believable28 Unbelievable10

Diouf was on £2k pw at Doncaster and is now on £5kpw with us. How is that a pay cut? Are you Gordon Brown!

Agree0 Disagree0

Uncontracted players wont be on a wage so how are they taking pay cuts by signing for us

Agree0 Disagree0

Lol " not many players will take a paycut to sign with us " since when has diouf took a paycut? no one will take a paycut to play for leeds, n u r pathetic if you think they will.

Agree0 Disagree0

Think he means paycuts from there previous employees. Most of the names mentioned with Leeds were on large salarys at there previous clubs and would want something similar to sign for Leeds, where as the 5K for Diouf is probably the maximum we can offer. Not great for a 'big' club.

Bates is sick of planned meetings being leaked through the Press and LUST, and has cancelled proposed meeting on thursday, maybe next week.

Believable7 Unbelievable54

I suppose bates wanting you to know so bad he tracked you down and had to tell you personally so you could let us all know.

Thanks we we're all getting worried but now you have told us we can all sleep well.

Any news from Santa as my boy would love to know what he is getting for Christmas.

Agree2 Disagree2

Really? so you are telling me that he is going to postpone a meeting involving a 50mil pound sale of the football club, because the planned meeting has been leaked? and maybe he will do it next week? oh yeah, thats exactly how big business is done, what an person you are, stop posting rubbish!

Agree1 Disagree0

Can't be half as sick as I am hearing about this takeover.

Agree0 Disagree0

Please no TOOLS on this site !!

Agree0 Disagree0

Takeover? what takeover?
Last I heard we had a match on the 15th, wasn't it. All that matters really

Agree0 Disagree0

Absolute rubbish, where do these small minded children come from, making things up to annoy people

Agree0 Disagree0

Boring now d day thursday but which thursday a!!!!

Agree0 Disagree0

The reports of the meeting came from barain reporter who Quoyes a decision will be made negative or positive on thursday but he wasnt confident .

Agree0 Disagree0

I thought we would get less of these stupid posts now that the kids are back at school, Bates wont care if its leaked. Either Leeds United finances are in one hell of a mess or Ken Bates is putting up a fight and demanding more money, either way this takeover is dragging on on on! on on on!

Free Agents still, would do a job for leeds:
- Buszaky
- McFadden
- Tchoyi
- Reo Coker
- Koumas

Believable44 Unbelievable8

Free agents require wages, maybe an agents fee and a signing on fee. So they are not free or even cheap. NW has already said that he will look to the loan market. If we get a player from a rich premier team, who is not in a squad, we could get him just for a small percentage of his gross wage. This makes far more financial sense as it is apparent we don't have any money

Agree0 Disagree0

Free agents still have bills to pay, If they havnt found another club they would have to lower thier wage expectation to signed, if no Prem team wants you, you aint gonna get a prem wage regardless of what your last salary was. Theres a chace we could get them cheaply look a diouf! I just have my fingers crossed the deal will get done, Warnock has said he doesnt want millions, few a few extra quid he can get us pushing for the top spot!
karlT

Agree0 Disagree0

Heskey and clingan

Agree0 Disagree0

They are free agents for a reason!

Agree1 Disagree0

All them exsept Koumas would do a job making up the numbers.
mot4life

Agree0 Disagree0

I would take Buszaky, mcfadden and Clingan, that would give us abit of depth, but i don't think we are as skint as people are making out as we managed to pay diouf 5k a week so maybe pay each 2-3k aweek and maybe could happen

Agree0 Disagree0

Look at Diouf. He was on £2000 at Donny now he is on £5000 with us. Love your logic

Agree0 Disagree0

Why just make up numbers, why not improve the squad. Don't you have any ambition?

Agree0 Disagree0

I love this expression 'would do a job'. Translates 'as pretty cr*p but vaguely gathers you are supposed to hoof the round thing in the general direction your team are playing'.

no matter what this apparent decision is on thursday, im happy with the start the team has made, 7 points from 12 taken from one of the toughest starts against 3 very good teams and Peterboro aint bad going at all, lets hope this season is good for the right reasons, not for all the doom and gloom, got boring to read it all last year

Believable36 Unbelievable7

Agreed ... and with a little less naivity and a little more concentration it would have been even better. only two points from top spot and one point from second looks good at this stage.

JDC

Agree0 Disagree0

I'd rather we lose and get rid of Bates, we are going nowhere with that robbing barsteward.

Agree0 Disagree3

Everything is rosey now because it's the start of the season, witha full squad. Watch when the games come thick and fast, players will be dropping left right and centre. Now ask yourself, who is going to cover these injuries. NOT BATES!
When he's gone, then the club will move forward.
BATES OUT!!

Fawksey (LoveLeedsHate all this negativity)

Agree0 Disagree0

We have signed 11 players under Bates. Now a couple more on loan to come. He is covering the positions pretty well

Agree0 Disagree0

We may have signed 11 players over the Summer but we got rid of 14. The squad is paper thin with no quality at all on the bench
Only the sale of our best player (Snodgrass) has, as usual, created room for player purchases.
As ever we have spent less than we have received and as ever Bates wants us to believe he's some kind of kindly benefactor
Thanks to Warnock for some astute buys against the odds, but thanks to Bates? -

Florent sinama-pongolle who used to play for Liverpool is available on a free. He's 27 n cud be worth a shout at this level. Also Michael Johnson is not in the man city squad, he wud do a job in midfield.

Gary

Believable27 Unbelievable14

Johnson has been arrested for drink driving TWICE in recent weeks - not sure how fit he is or how he'll get to Leeds after his court appearances!

Agree0 Disagree0

Your two suggestions are very good ... if Pongolle is a free agent he could still be signed and Michael Johnson on loan with an option to buy would be a good signings.

JDC

Agree0 Disagree0

Pongolle gone to Russia and Johnson too injury prone

Agree0 Disagree0

I've heard Michael Johnson actively wants to come to Leeds but as yet Warnock hasn't shown any interest.

Andy

Agree0 Disagree0

How does that song go
he drinks he drives he spits at whoever he likes hes el hadj diuof.
Dont think anyone whose a drink driver or has a poor discipline record can be counted out. Need the players thanks to ken.
Some on here wanted barton for f.cks sake.

Agree0 Disagree0

Johnson is by all accounts very overweight and unfit due to his drinking, would fit in better on the kop rather than the pitch.

Agree0 Disagree0

Johnson is a Leeds fan and has wanted to come before. However he has not developed at all and is very lightweight.

Agree0 Disagree0

Johnson is knackered. He's done. Nothing left. He's got nothing to offer - nothing left in the tank. The bad injury has done him.

Agree0 Disagree0

Come on lads one of you is telling us Johnson is overweight then someone else saying he is light weight , Which is it Leeds fans cant agree on anything .

Agree0 Disagree0

Florent Sinama Pongolle plays for FC Rostov in the Russian League.

They are saying its make or break for the takeover on thursday. So is tomorrow the day weve all been praying for, please please let it be. Do the right thing mr bates, its not like you've not got a pen, unless you've sold them as well

Believable32 Unbelievable2

If that deal is not signed by fri that's it they will walk away, they are trying to force Bates hand, very brave thing to do and very stupid.

Agree0 Disagree0

Bates do the right thing? Good luck with that. To replier saying stupid to force hand of Bates they got nothing to lose so why not? Eventually there always comes a time for make or break. We are here. So they might as well go for it.

Agree0 Disagree0

How is it a bad thing for them to do there just sick of been messed about by bates and they deserve to know whats happening just like all us fans

Agree0 Disagree0

How much does anyone know about this company.
I strongly believe they wouldn't do us justice I hates bates i really do but loosing the amount of money they have lost over the last 5 years and only making a small profit....................

Agree0 Disagree0

Got to force his hand no choice,if it doesn't go through he won't be able to come to leeds again, not without an armed escort anyway.

Agree0 Disagree0

If they didn't do this, there would never be an end to it. I for one want to know yes or no.
mot4life

Agree0 Disagree0

Apparently from what you read: BATES is refusing to sign off an indemnity clause which will make him liable for any hidden financial claims for a limited time period (Standard clause in most business transactions) Or he's trying to keep 20% stake so that he will benefit from the new owners efforts and their investment. Both ways it illustrates what a 'parasite' he is. Sorry Mr Bates but you have one agenda and we the fans were always excluded and simply there for your amusement. Stay and see your investment plummet over coming weeks / months.

Agree0 Disagree0

Losing money over the last 5 years? Nobody even knows who the consortium is. Don't believe the Bates propaganda.

Dj campbell off to Blackpool
Jermaine Beckford off to Huddersfield
Owen gone to Stoke
Ivan klasnic off to Mainz
Cheers for that Ken, much appreciated !
If you wanna leave the club in "GOOD HANDS" as you put it, use 1 of the pens even I sent you and signing the papers what is ever wrong with you ?
We need money, we need players, we don't get either we don't go up SIMPLE

Believable42 Unbelievable9

Don't see what Owen has to do with it. Never in a million years would he have come to Leeds. He wasn't willing to step down.

As for Klasnic, he got offered starting football in Germany, I don't think you can blame Ken Bates for them two.

It's not like they are the only four players available, just wait and see who we get.

If we don't get anyone then blame the miserable old muppet, as for now just stay patient.

Agree0 Disagree0

U complete mug, why would owen come down to the championship? n ivan klasnic is soo bad he would not add anythin to our team, beckford is in the past plus he was best in league 1 n dj campbell aint that good n has never been gr8 so all 4 im glad aint coming, your just after big names but if you were a real fan you would b realistic n know that someone like owen would never join leeds in the championship

Agree0 Disagree0

Ken's a business man not a charity I believe he is doing his best, I certainly want to see the back of him but without him we wouldn't be where we are today we'd more than likely be in Div 2.

Beckford not going hudds at all, ssn has confirmed this

Only players not in Premier League 25-man squads: Elliot Ward, Michael Johnson, DJ Campbell, Rob Hulse, Radek Cerny, Luke Young.

I've been saying this since the summer that Warnock might try to get Rob Hulse on loan. Think that this may happen although I'd be happy with any of those as loan signings. They would add depth to the squad and boost competition for places

Sam luFC

Believable19 Unbelievable6

I would like Michael Johnson, he supports Leeds

Agree0 Disagree0

Why Hulse? He is not as good as Becs or Mac we should be looking at improving the team not backing it up. Somma is better than Hulse

Agree0 Disagree0

What bout these for loans?
Frimpong
Razak
David Bentley

Agree0 Disagree1

Hulse because what happens if we get a couple of injuries up front? Poelon and Gray to start and finish ever game for a month?

Its about having options, 3 month loan paying very little in wages would suit nicely to boost squad

Agree0 Disagree0

Better to take a player on loan who improves the squad, not just a backup in case of injury and if Gray is not good enough for that we should not have signed him.

Agree0 Disagree0

Would take ward johnson and hulse from that list

Agree0 Disagree0

HULSE,,,,come on mate, were trying to go forward not backward ?////

Agree0 Disagree0

Joe Jordan is unemployed at the moment, I am sure he could do a job too. In fact he could be a great assistant manger and a better player than Hulse

Sammy clingan still without a club, solid squad player maybe?

Believable30 Unbelievable11

Very good shout. Disgrace we haven't been in for him already.

Agree0 Disagree0

Would be good replacement for Green til he's back :)

Agree0 Disagree0

We've got enough squad players we need someone with a bit of flare

Agree0 Disagree0

Spoke to Sammy in a club in Belfast on fri. night said he was getting sorted this week, I mentioned leeds and he said that he thought he was going to sign for us last year but it didn`t seem like we had been in for him this time. I think he is underated always does a great job for Northern Ireland.
