How about getting Leigh Griffiths, he is top scorer in the Scottish Premier league with 14 goals and scored 78 goals in 167 appearances. He is on loan from Wolves and plays for Hibernian and his loan spell runs out this month. Come on Warnock, surely worth a shout and I'd rather take a chance on him than Blackstock.

Believable25 Unbelievable18

Yeh, although the way Wolves are going they might want him back.

Agree1 Disagree0

Hes great on champ

Agree0 Disagree0

My mate is a Wolves fan and says he's a right trouble maker (Thats why Wolves loaned him out), so would probably fit right in.

DW

Agree0 Disagree0

This is the kind of players we should look at, scores, works hard and is only 22..!

Agree0 Disagree0

New Wolves manager might want a look at him, first.

Agree0 Disagree0

Surely Dean Saunders will want him back to have a look at him ?

Warnock is looking to widen his creativity in the middle of the park, anyone think if warnock tried we
could try get Yannick Bolasie from Palace, if not, why?

Believable9 Unbelievable30

Prem clubs lookin at him

Agree0 Disagree0

And as bolasie a winger it still won't sort the creativity in the middle of park

Agree0 Disagree0

Because he plays for a better team than Leeds can't see him coming unfortunately

Agree0 Disagree0

Warnock to sign Alejandro faurlin from qpr as we lack creativity and he knows from previous experience that he has got what it takes

Believable36 Unbelievable29

That would a fantastic signing

Agree0 Disagree0

Would be fantastic, although i remember he had work permit issues, and might not be able to get a transfer.

Agree0 Disagree0

I say go for it brilliant signing from Argentina too. Will make becchio feel more at home

Agree0 Disagree0

If we got him think he would be over £1m but still would be a quality signing

Leeds to sign Charlie Austin from Burnley, McCormack plus 4 million

Believable25 Unbelievable77

06 Jan 2013 19:37:55
A highly dawt it when Burnley have slapped a 10 mil price tag on him

Agree1 Disagree0

Not worth it anyway I'd rather keep McCormack

Agree0 Disagree0

McCormack is worth 6 million

Agree0 Disagree0

06 Jan 2013 23:27:49
Would deco like him at Leeds, but not at the expense of McCormack!

Agree0 Disagree0

Lol mccormack n 4 mill, sooooo not worth it.

Agree0 Disagree0

Rather have mccormack

Agree0 Disagree0

We will never get him he is out of our league

Agree0 Disagree0

Say what we like, Austin is a top striker in the making, and much as we like Ross, he will never be in Austin's class as a natural finisher. Sorry to say, but we had the chance to take Austin after his first year in pro soccer, when we got promoted from Div 1, but SG, in his wisdom, chose instead to go for the other half of Swindon's then strike partnership, the hapless Barndoor Billy. Sadly, SG's mixed record in the transfer market wasn't only due to Bates' parsimony with the cheque book -there were always issues surrounding his ability to identify talent. Shame, because there's no way Austin's coming here now in a month of Sundays. Chapel A

Agree0 Disagree0

We got paynter because he had scored 27 goals in the league that season and ripped us up. Austin only got 19.

leeds youngster sanchez payne on loan to rotherham from a top source

Believable36 Unbelievable24

That that has good potential loaning him out would be a great idea, hope its true

Agree0 Disagree1

It would be good experience for him turn him into a good player

danny pugh to preston for 200,000

Believable53 Unbelievable30

200k! That's a 300k loss
Think you need to rethink your figures

Agree0 Disagree0

He's a year older and he doesnt get a game at all though

Agree0 Disagree0

What we paid for him and what he's worth have always been poles apart. I'd snatch their hand off at £200k and getting him off the payroll.

Agree1 Disagree0

Yeah re-think your figures...we will have to pay PNE to sign him.

Agree0 Disagree0

Yeah you need to re think that to a free transfer. hes not worth £200 let alone 200k. sell him on a free!

Agree0 Disagree0

Reckon this ones on. No place for him at ER

Agree0 Disagree0

Pugh is on decent wages. Any fee in addition to getting him off the payroll would be a big bonus. Disastrous signing -and to think Grayson could have signed Andy Keogh there and then for the same money! Thanks Simon! Mind you, if he had, I'm going to stick my neck out and state that I reckon SG -and Howson- would still be here if that had been the case! Food for thought...Those who witnessed at close hand the first half of last season will get my drift. Chapel A

Agree0 Disagree0

IDE accept a freebie for him just to get him off our books but you do know we will probably have to pay part of his wages as pen wouldn't be able to afford him

Agree0 Disagree0

Pugh is on 12k... we need him off the payroll..

Agree0 Disagree0

He is not very good let him go never get played got white, Drury and pelts all infront of him

Agree0 Disagree0

I found the signing of pugh absolutely staggering. I mean he was not much cop first time round, if we get 200k i would take it get him off the wage bill and strengthen in the areas we need.

Agree1 Disagree0

06 Jan 2013 18:43:34
deal! well even throw in varney

Agree0 Disagree0

Great shout, depends how much money though?

Agree0 Disagree0

Would have thought they would keep him till at least after the first leg of their league cup semi v Villa. Must have half a chance of Wembley if Villa continue their awful form

Agree0 Disagree0

faurlin to sign next week in a 3 million deal..

Believable36 Unbelievable48

06 Jan 2013 13:32:48
Andy Gray signing for Bradford next week

Believable69 Unbelievable14

Think it would be a good move for him and ford best wishes for the lad

Agree1 Disagree0

Good another wasted wage on a player that doesn't feature

Agree0 Disagree0

Dont think he will make there starting 11 then again might not even get a place on the bench....now theres a thought
MOT!

Agree1 Disagree0

Worst...most pointless signing for Leeds.....ever!

Agree0 Disagree0

Possible deal with Wells coming the other way? Andy will do well for them, he's better than League 2

Agree1 Disagree0

Why do people on here give players such a hard time.. Andy was bought in as a squad player, on small wages, and has done his bit... Enough said.. Get off the players backs.. You are destroying morale.....

Agree4 Disagree0

06 Jan 2013 17:05:05
Andy came in when Bates was refusing to subsidise the club as he wanted to sell. He was a cheap option who came to Leeds to be a squad player and has fulfilled that role. This was always going to be a short term deal to allow new owners to come in but still give Neil another option up front until the Tover went through. Thanks Andy.

Agree4 Disagree0

Good luck to him. It wasn't going to work out for him here and he's always going to have Leeds in his heart and best interests. He's a Gray, let's not give him stick. He came in on short term low wages to be backup.

Crmd

Agree3 Disagree0

Nothing against the player, I'm sure he would play every week given half the chance. However we have to face facts and be realistic that the more players we can off-load that aren't featuring, then the more money we have to spend on better quality players that WILL feature.....

Agree0 Disagree0

Hear hear. He deserves our respect -never asked to leave first time round, and has never hidden his love of the club. Could have done a really good job back if he'd come back when we first came down to the Champ. Chapel A

Believable34 Unbelievable29

Rumour has it radebe recommend him, he's a bad boy over in Africa somewhere striker I think..?

Warnock spent 45 mins chatting to Redknapp on the phone about his ex players at QPR last week. He confirmed this in his own Column in the Independant. He has asked about Hoilett and Faurlain and Harry told him to speak again once QPR had brought some new faces in which would allow them be released or sold on.

Believable53 Unbelievable16

Hoilett are you having a laugh! You havent a chance im afraid

Agree2 Disagree0

06 Jan 2013 11:36:16
Hoillett would be a fantastic signing but i cant see it happening.....but suppose stranger things have happened in football

Agree0 Disagree0

I would love to see faurlin arrive at the club would give abit of umph to the midfield another argentianian to keep becchio happy aswell.

Agree2 Disagree0

Why hoillet he wasn't one of warnocks ex players at QPR

Agree1 Disagree0

06 Jan 2013 16:14:21
because hes a winger and the Thomas deal looks unlikely. Worth an enquiry as they have SWP and he maybe allowed out on loan depending on who Redknapp gets in.

Agree0 Disagree0

Lol no chance with any of them

Agree0 Disagree0

More like derry an hill more deadwood

Here's a STRONG rumour going around. Warnock has tendered his resignation.

Believable65 Unbelievable63

Are you the same teenager who says he has to go in the banter section?

Agree0 Disagree0

This was all over a social network site last night but nothing concrete

Agree0 Disagree0

Good.lets get Gus from Brighton.He was the better man when wise was in charge. {Ed013's Note - Neil Warnock has not resigned, he is off with a virus}

Agree0 Disagree0

Not heard that but have heard that he is on the verge of the sack as the owners are fed up with his attitude and lack of respect to lufc, also call get the owners tight for not giving transfer funds, at the end of the day we are skint we owe to much dept and if we don't sell some of our top players we will go into liquidisation, I fear for the good of Leeds that we could end up again in lower leagues if we are not promoted this year NW out

Agree0 Disagree3

I really dont even want to dignify this 'rumour' with a response.....

Agree1 Disagree0

There's a STRONG smell outside our house. Oh! it's bulls**t from the OP.
JB

Agree0 Disagree0

We don't have any debt and haven't since we went into administration in 2007.

Agree0 Disagree0

I'm the 50 year md teenager who said he has to go on banter page and to think he dosent have to go is madness. Go a nd TRY and find a team who play worse football than us and support them. Most mature fans want good football, good manager and promotion. Not crap

Agree0 Disagree0

In reply to one of these responses, we are not skint...... We may not have any working capital, ie cash to spend, but we are not running the business at a loss. Ie spending money we don't have. There's been numerous questions on here over the years asking where the monies for howson, delph and co has gone, which have never been answered but we are not skint.

The next few weeks are critical to see if our new owners have money to invest.

The club issued their financial figures last week, which clearly tried to highlight that it's the lack of funds through the turnstiles
that is causing the downturn in figures.. Eg 10% down on last year.

Regarding NW I think he has till the end of the season. Promotion or out!

Agree0 Disagree0

As a 53 year old life long leeds fan I would settle for good football, good manager buying exciting new talent with a forward thinking team. Promotion will come but seeing the team play week in week out in all divisions I dont want to see a crap team in the Prem playing mediocre football. Dont think for one minute NW is that bad and certainly dont think hes contemplating resignation. This rumour must be in your dreams... take some medication son

Agree0 Disagree0

Stoke play worse football than us..

Agree0 Disagree0

Stoke play worse football than us! What matches have you been watching? We are absolutely dire, I hate to say that as I love Leeds but hate to watch them of late.

Agree1 Disagree0

And what league are Stoke in?

Agree0 Disagree0

Love the guy who says he wont warrant this rumour with a response. Doesn't he realise by doing this is did give a response?

Agree0 Disagree0

'Most mature fans was good football, good manager and promotion'...? what a ridiculous point; so what, us who are under the age of 30 want poor football, a rubbish manager and relegation? All Leeds fans wants the same thing... to regain former glory.

Agree0 Disagree0

Mid thirties Leeds fan, been calling for Warnocks resignation and Poyet in for a while, with the same undeniable point;
Warnock is not in it for the long haul.
I'd rather get to the Prem playing good football that gives the team, club and fans the confidence to compete in the Premier league and a manager in who has plans for most eventualities, not just 'direct or nothing'.
We've been dire because the opposition has a manager who knows how to counter our one-dimensional play.
I wouldn't trust Warnock to pick his own nose.
