Leeds & QPR interested in signing 32 year old midfielder Richie Wellens from Doncaster.

Believable29 Unbelievable51

Sounds about right for us fresh face on the bench for brown & tongue to talk to

Agree7 Disagree0

He is 33

Agree2 Disagree0

Whats age got to do with anything how old was strachan when we signed him, wellens is exactly what we need in are midfield

Agree0 Disagree2

Mr Wellens, stop posting stuff on here! It's not a recruitment site.

Agree1 Disagree0

Wellens is so not what we need.hes terrible

Agree0 Disagree0

He's just signed a new 18 month contract today so that ends that rumour

Leeds have enquired about bringing Luciano Becchio back although this will only be a loan deal.

Also if Leeds fail in the bid to sign Nahki Wells from Bradford then Mcdermott will aim to sign his other target, Aaron Mclean from Hull City.

Believable24 Unbelievable55

Aaron mclean would be a terrible signing

Agree5 Disagree1

Loan him back, he can sit on our bench instead .

Agree0 Disagree0

So would Becchio

Agree4 Disagree0

No way should we sign that Aaron Mclean, absolute garbage he is!

Agree1 Disagree1

Becchio is off to newells old boys.
I've heard from contacts close to Carrow road that he wants to go back home. Apparently he will be off there on Loan and move in the summer. Can't see him coming back here if that interest stands to be true.

stevie may who plays for st johnstone is in talks with leeds about a move 500k possibly riseing to 1million with add ons

Believable12 Unbelievable36

Done well this season, scoring a lot of goals. I know SPL ain't too great, but it's about the same level as the Champ.

Agree5 Disagree0

No way is premier league as good as championship most teams as good as bottom half of div 3 or div 1 depending how old you are

however May did do well at loan spells at both Alloa and Hamilton and he is one the stars of this seasons premier league I would have put his value at 250 with add ons

Agree0 Disagree3

The Championship ain't that great either.

Agree4 Disagree0

06 Jan 2014 19:49:12
Absolutely shocking player! Needs a haircut probably Sunday league level down here.

Agree0 Disagree3

May is a decent player i'd be really happy signing him

Agree3 Disagree0

We could send him to Brian McDs barber

Agree4 Disagree0

This is totally made up rumour and has no foundation. May is NOT coming to Leeds and is NOT even near moving from St Johnstone.

Agree1 Disagree1

Don't really know anything about this guy, but sounds like he has a pretty good goal scoring record and some one who knows were the net is maybe worth a punt (Remember Beckford came from Wealdstone)

Agree3 Disagree0

Eurgh! May I'd NOT good enough. Nothing Smith doesn't offer us.

Signed this stevie may lad on football manager I know you will say its a game but they actally use thousands of real scouts to do the scout reporting in that game and everton actally was involved with them whilst david moyes was there so everton could get football managers scouting network anyways back to topic on football manager I happend to of signed stevie may for leeds united and he did fantasticly well in the championship scored lots of goals more than mcormack for me plus his young about 21 and also did very well in the preimership but equally could be a flop

Agree2 Disagree1

Seems that this one does have a bit of truth about it, but don't expect he'll cost anything less than £1.2m.(QPR have already been told that a £1m bid isn't enough) Peterborough really made a mess of things early on in the season when they thought they could grab him for buttons and pay it over 25 years. £400,000 was the allegedly agreed fee but that was knocked back instantly, regardless of what their chairman claimed. In that short time, May has improved at an amazing rate. Two things stand out about this young man. First, His goal to knock Rosenborg out of Europe and second, the fact that the only thing his doubters have against him is his haircut! Have a look on youtube and you'll see what I, m on about.

leigh griffiths of wolves been locked in talks at thorpe arch all afternoon to iron out a deal and sign for leeds. He believes he's ready for a chance in the championship.Aparantly Griffiths is big mates with Ross mccormack.

Believable38 Unbelievable34

Celtic want him

Agree0 Disagree1

He's more trouble than he's worth and is definitely not good enough. Ask any Wolves fan

Agree1 Disagree1

I've heard exactly the same as Daz, he's a trouble maker and that wouldn't be good for the dressing room

Agree1 Disagree1

I don't know if he is a trouble maker but I think he is talented and has goals in him still prefer to see guidetti on loan though

Hearing Norwich City are set to me a cheeky bid for Rosco in the region of 4.5 million with becchio coming back to Elland Road

Believable24 Unbelievable67

Is that all you can come up with? Leeds striker to Norwich just because all the others went there and Becchio to return, along with Beckford Gradel Howson Smith Kewell etc I suppose. How about some actual rumours and not made up stuff

Agree3 Disagree0

They can swiftly do one!

Agree2 Disagree0

4.5 Million might just be too much to turn down if true, however I'd only want Becchio back if we used the money to buy two pacey wingers. Becchio is a goal poacher, but there are questions marks about his speed and touch

Agree4 Disagree1

Snatch their hands off!not a great
lover of becchio but i think he will be out to impress.as i have said before, mccormack is not as good as he thinks he is.

Agree2 Disagree3

4.5 for a striker not premier league or internationally proven

DEAL

Agree3 Disagree2

I'm all for it sell the lot and let's start again, would'nt keep any of them, Paddy is o.k but the rest are an EMBARRASSMENT.it's LEEDS UNITED for F. s sake, how did these players, no sorry PEOPLE ever get the white shirt?????? its beyond me? what are Norman Hunter, Eddie Gray, & Peter Lorimer (ex payers who still have a connection with the once Mighty Leeds) thinking when they see this rubbish on a Saturday, poor Don & Billy must be turning in their graves. it's disgraceful.

Been on Twitter that Rossco is to start talks with Middlesboro in the next 24 hrs. Surely not.

If he goes we will definately be in trouble.!

Also rumours that the Cameron Stewart deal is off?

It just gets better!

Hopefully just rumours but you never know?

Lifelongleedsfan

Believable17 Unbelievable77

Twitter is full of goons, don't believe everything you read. Middlesbrough would have to pay a large sum, like over £6m, for Ross, seeing as he extended his contract and is the league's top scorer.

Agree4 Disagree1

I know a lot of people will disagree with this but if we get very good money for Ross (which we would do as he's under a long contract) then we could get as good replacements for the money we'd get, Nicky Maynard for example. At the end of the day Ross hardly ripped the Rochdale defence to pieces on Saturday did he or the Barnsley or Blackpool defences in recent weeks. No player is bigger than the club, hopefully the rumours are just that but if he does go the world won't end.

Agree3 Disagree1

Why do people place so much belief in twitter?! I don't use it and from what I see a very small % of what is on there is true. Most is misinformed at best and just lies at worst!

Agree2 Disagree0

06 Jan 2014 16:13:38
lets just wait and see, all these supposed signings are just heresay as are playersleaving.makes me wonder are all these posts true or just done for a joke, COME ONE LEEDS WE WILL GET THERE IN THE END.

Agree1 Disagree0

Optimistic or what?

Agree1 Disagree0

I think what ever happens will happen.Lets get the takeover over the line first then see what the new owners want to do.

Personally I think they have the good of the club in mind and they will do good by all the fans.

In Brian and David we trust!

Agree1 Disagree0

Average striker made to look good from the rubbish we have, yeah scored a lot of goals but that's his job to score, misses way to many chances

Agree0 Disagree1

06 Jan 2014 17:16:15
Twitter is wide open to abuse and I would not believe anything on there. As for Maynard, he picks up too many injuries for me and not what we need.

Agree1 Disagree1

Really hope the Stewart deal is off, because he won't give us anything, he could'nt make Charlton's eleven so why do we want him, McDermott has already make some awful signings with Hunt & Wootton, he must realise that!

Agree3 Disagree1

He must be after a new contract that's all

Agree0 Disagree0

One bad game doesn't make scott wootton a crap player stop slating your own players and start supporting not hard is it

Agree3 Disagree1

I felt a little sorry for Ross when we were cursing them on Saturday. Don't get me wrong I was livid about the display, but you could see Ross was hurt by it. I think he's Leeds through and through

Agree2 Disagree0

06 Jan 2014 20:47:01
do leeds fans want us relegated. why get rid of your best player and wish fans would give players chance before slating them.

Agree2 Disagree0

06 Jan 2014 20:48:55
How can Hunt be described as an awful signing. We haven't seen him fully fit yet. He deserves his chance like anyone else so get off his back.

Agree3 Disagree3

Really? If the op would just look at the other tweets this guy has posted he or she would realise what a moronic waste of space he is. I think one of his other tweets consisted of Sergio Ramos going to Barnsley because bobby hassell inspired him to become a footballer!

Come on now guys! MOT!

Gradel is in talks with a yorshire club, but its not leeds, its Hull

Believable51 Unbelievable42

That would be a Humberside club then!

Agree1 Disagree1

06 Jan 2014 17:18:55
Good luck to him if that's the case. He would be a lot more expensive 2nd time around and it rarely works out twice.

Hull City are in talks to sign Max Gradel from Saint Etienne. This is despite the French club's manager stating he was not for sale when Leeds showed an interest.

Believable22 Unbelievable36

Sly report all kinds of rumours that turn out to be false and this could well be another or it could simply be an attempted by the St Etienne or his agent to raise the deal with Leeds. That depends of whether we are actually in for Gradel or not of course! MOT

Mackay_stevens is not coming to leeds it was a rumour started by expert tipping in the summer on twitter!

Believable28 Unbelievable12

Why target unrealistic signings like Gradel or Ince and not go for this guy?

According to ssn:Hull have opened talks with Max Gradel about a move to the KC for the St Etienne wide man.Looks like this may be the target BMD is missing out on who has told him he is set to join a prem team.

Cardiff to allow Nicky Maynard out on loan. Could he do a job for us?

Believable40 Unbelievable18

Yes he could. he is a top championship player anyway, nowhere near a premiership star. my only doubt is he hasn't really cut it at west Ham and Cardiff in Championship either so I would go for someone better.

Agree2 Disagree0

I agree in that I've seen him play and he is a good player along the lines of a Wallcott. Sad that he hasn't been provided with to many pportunities in recent 2 years and made his mark. He needs a loan to prove his ability not only to the likes of the loan club but also his host club. Most managers want a big target man with strength and Maynard doesn't have that but he can be quick on the ball and has good shot power

Agree1 Disagree1

I can't believe a quality striker like him is sitting on a bench or in reserves for so long as he has, would love him at Leeds and Becchio back, bit worried he seems happy with his situation though, shows no ambition or fight, but him ross and becchio what an attacking three that would be.
