Just heard a rumour that Sam winnall from Scunthorpe is having a medical at leeds, I'm a leeds fan but from scunny and my mates heard from the editor of our local rag that he's having one. Apparently top scorer in there league, I know from being from scunny that they have often bought young strikers coached them and sold for profit, ie sharp, hooper at Norwich, Patterson. Don't really know what to make of that if its true

Unbelievable30
Twitter "ITKs" saying we've bid "a six figure sum", but I doubt it since he's ooc in June. We should go after Sam Slocombe, the GK, instead.

According to tv Leon Clarke is the top scorer in league 1, Winnall isn't even listed and it goes down to players on 6 goals so he isn't anywhere near
Agree0

I'm from Scunny too and he has scored 13 goals this season.

The 2 premiership players are Stewart and Owen garvan from palace.
Wells will be a target next week when more funds are in after take over complete and gradel or Mackey smith on loan from a reliable source.
Believable6
Unbelievable32
I think Owen Garvan is realistic call, McDermott stated he wanted to bring in leaders and players that knew the league. Not saying he is right player but maybe less risky than taking a punt on a young player from lower leagues.

I'd take Owen Garvan all day long, decent player

Investment regarding Andy Flowers. Funds to be available this month. Source: OS
Believable29
Unbelievable9
Is this guy worth much?
Agree1
Disagree0
Read somewhere he's worth over £100 million, not a massive amount in today's ownership market but enough if others involved are as wealthy. Certainly a lot better than that bearded old fool that's was on charge for previous 8 year
Agree6
Disagree0
Hopefully Peter Virdee is on board too, very wealthy indeed.
Agree1
Disagree0
He is worth quite a lot but the main thing is he is a lifelong fan so he wants the club to do well for reasons other than money
Agree1

After the latest Ashes debacle;
Andy Flowers!
No thanks lol

Investment update on OS, confirming Andy Flowers is part of the group purchasing a major shareholding in Leeds Utd.
Nothing we didn't know, but now official.
Believable22
Unbelievable5
I have just seen the official announcemrnt on the OS, I just wonder if the other names involved will be released, seems a little strange why one would now say they are involved when we are on the verge of the takeover. Why not just wait till completion and then hold a press conferance and announce the new owners. Are we going back to the Bates days when we had no real idea who was behind the companies that really owned us.

I reckon it's because the other parties concerned are absolutely minted and we would be paying over inflated transfer fees and wages, you mark my words. Sheik rattle and roll baby ;)
Dougie
Agree1

Well Peter Virdee is the name being banded around; that seems plausible given him and Haigh's recent twitter activity. and if its true, Ill be happy since he is very wealthy.
Agree1
Disagree1
Wish Leeds fans would stop dreaming. Be realistic we are not going to get taken over by a Sheikh or a billionaire. Just need our manager to be sensibly backed with 4 or so good signings. We are going to have to do it properly which is fine because we are a proper club with great supporters!

Interesting rumor here, heard from someone involved in the academy at Leeds, Brian McDermott set to take Lithuanian forward Evaldas Razulis on trial, after Marius Zaliukas, a friend & teammate of Razulis, recommended him. He currently plays for Atlantas in Lithuania, but is looking to experience English football. Personally wouldn't be overly happy if we signed him, as he left Hearts in 2011 without playing a game.

Only played less than 100 games in his career. Not prolific or an impressive CV either. Somma came out of nowhere though

Two Premier League Players coming before Saturday. One is Stewart and the other is Chabaloah from Chelsea on loan
Believable15

I would be surprised if Chelsea let him join us
Agree1

Very surprised if they let him join from Chelsea. Fingers crossed though MOT
Agree0

Hopefully they do, would be nice to have someone as good as him as our own player.
Agree1
Disagree0
Why would everyone be surprised if he came on loan from Chelsea? They've loaned him out for the last 18 months and he won't be playing for the 1st team so they may as well send him out till the end of the season
Agree1
Disagree1
Hes what we need but just won't happen
Agree2
Disagree2
Brian isn't particularly well known for bringing in Loan players, and we're building for the future, not the short term. I'd say it's highly unlikely that he'll be coming in from Chelsea, especially when funds are available for purchases.

If wells has out about him he will come to the boro we have the pot to be best in the championship watch the space if we had a goal man we would be flying its an open in the champ and allways will be utb
Agree0
Disagree9
Yes but you havnt got a goal man! Strikers keep knocking you back, what's that about?
Agree3
Disagree0
Any chance of explaining the first post in English?
What I think you are saying is that if he has a modicum of sense, he will go to Middlesbrough? This I find highly amusing.
If Bradford had a goal man I am sure they wouldn't be sat in 12th in League 1. Oh, they do!
Middlesbrough has the potential to get washed away by the next tidal surge and no-one would really know or care.
Carry on watching the 10th worst team in the Championship and you never know, if you can land a decent player and maybe win a game or two, get featured in the 1st half of the Football League Show where decent teams are shown. Have fun

David Silva? Don't be silly!
Agree1
Disagree5
Stewart and either Maynard, Dorrans, Albrighton or Guidetti please. Please not Becchio.
Agree2
Disagree0
Why not Becchio, proven goalscorer at this level, knows the place so wouldn't need a 'settling in period' perfect fit. Personally i'd like Dorrans and Becchio off your list, proven players at the level, remember that's what BMcD said he needed, the rest are not proven.
Agree1
Disagree2
"Why not Becchio?" Because he hasn't played in over a year, he's not match fit, he doesn't bring anything we already have, yet more hoof ball etc. What we need is pace and creativity, not more long ball merchants.

Can someone set this page as the homepage on Brian's PC ;)
That's Guidetti, I repeat Guidetti with a hint of Dorrans
Agree0

Pathetic spin to call Stewart a Premier League star. Even to call him a PL player is dishonest -Hull don't want him anywhere near their squad now they're in the Prem. Aguero, Ramsey, Rooney -these guys are Premier League stars. Chapel A
