Just heard a rumour that Sam winnall from Scunthorpe is having a medical at leeds, I'm a leeds fan but from scunny and my mates heard from the editor of our local rag that he's having one. Apparently top scorer in there league, I know from being from scunny that they have often bought young strikers coached them and sold for profit, ie sharp, hooper at Norwich, Patterson. Don't really know what to make of that if its true

Believable9 Unbelievable30

Twitter "ITKs" saying we've bid "a six figure sum", but I doubt it since he's ooc in June. We should go after Sam Slocombe, the GK, instead.

Agree2 Disagree0

According to tv Leon Clarke is the top scorer in league 1, Winnall isn't even listed and it goes down to players on 6 goals so he isn't anywhere near

Agree0 Disagree1

I'm from Scunny too and he has scored 13 goals this season.

The 2 premiership players are Stewart and Owen garvan from palace.
Wells will be a target next week when more funds are in after take over complete and gradel or Mackey smith on loan from a reliable source.

Believable6 Unbelievable32

I think Owen Garvan is realistic call, McDermott stated he wanted to bring in leaders and players that knew the league. Not saying he is right player but maybe less risky than taking a punt on a young player from lower leagues.

Agree1 Disagree1

I'd take Owen Garvan all day long, decent player

Investment regarding Andy Flowers. Funds to be available this month. Source: OS

Believable29 Unbelievable9

Is this guy worth much?

Agree1 Disagree0

Read somewhere he's worth over £100 million, not a massive amount in today's ownership market but enough if others involved are as wealthy. Certainly a lot better than that bearded old fool that's was on charge for previous 8 year

Agree6 Disagree0

Hopefully Peter Virdee is on board too, very wealthy indeed.

Agree1 Disagree0

He is worth quite a lot but the main thing is he is a lifelong fan so he wants the club to do well for reasons other than money

Agree1 Disagree0

After the latest Ashes debacle;

Andy Flowers!

No thanks lol

Investment update on OS, confirming Andy Flowers is part of the group purchasing a major shareholding in Leeds Utd.

Nothing we didn't know, but now official.

Believable22 Unbelievable5

I have just seen the official announcemrnt on the OS, I just wonder if the other names involved will be released, seems a little strange why one would now say they are involved when we are on the verge of the takeover. Why not just wait till completion and then hold a press conferance and announce the new owners. Are we going back to the Bates days when we had no real idea who was behind the companies that really owned us.

Mark D

Agree0 Disagree1

I reckon it's because the other parties concerned are absolutely minted and we would be paying over inflated transfer fees and wages, you mark my words. Sheik rattle and roll baby ;)
Dougie

Agree1 Disagree0

Well Peter Virdee is the name being banded around; that seems plausible given him and Haigh's recent twitter activity. and if its true, Ill be happy since he is very wealthy.

Agree1 Disagree1

Wish Leeds fans would stop dreaming. Be realistic we are not going to get taken over by a Sheikh or a billionaire. Just need our manager to be sensibly backed with 4 or so good signings. We are going to have to do it properly which is fine because we are a proper club with great supporters!

Liam Bridcutt to sign for Leeds after handing in transfer request at Brighton.

Believable14 Unbelievable50

He is off to sunderland

Agree1 Disagree0

He will sign for Sunderland according to ssn

Agree0 Disagree0

Going to sunderland belly the white

Agree0 Disagree0

We can't pay the money he's worth mate lower you sights

Agree0 Disagree2

When premier league teams want him, I think not.

If long goes to hull Leeds will go back to hull for matt fryat to bolster the front line . Don't know if its a loan deal or a swap for ross . P**s take form this time last year with morrison

Believable11 Unbelievable29

Lol swap with ross obviously won't happen.

Agree1 Disagree0

Steven Fletcher is going to Hull. Forget the Ross rubbish. He already stated on social media that he's going nowhere

Interesting rumor here, heard from someone involved in the academy at Leeds, Brian McDermott set to take Lithuanian forward Evaldas Razulis on trial, after Marius Zaliukas, a friend & teammate of Razulis, recommended him. He currently plays for Atlantas in Lithuania, but is looking to experience English football. Personally wouldn't be overly happy if we signed him, as he left Hearts in 2011 without playing a game.

Believable2 Unbelievable18

Hope not!

Agree1 Disagree0

Only played less than 100 games in his career. Not prolific or an impressive CV either. Somma came out of nowhere though

Two Premier League Players coming before Saturday. One is Stewart and the other is Chabaloah from Chelsea on loan

Believable15 Unbelievable22

I would be surprised if Chelsea let him join us

Agree1 Disagree2

Very surprised if they let him join from Chelsea. Fingers crossed though MOT

Agree0 Disagree1

Hopefully they do, would be nice to have someone as good as him as our own player.

Agree1 Disagree0

Why would everyone be surprised if he came on loan from Chelsea? They've loaned him out for the last 18 months and he won't be playing for the 1st team so they may as well send him out till the end of the season

Agree1 Disagree1

Hes what we need but just won't happen

Agree2 Disagree2

Brian isn't particularly well known for bringing in Loan players, and we're building for the future, not the short term. I'd say it's highly unlikely that he'll be coming in from Chelsea, especially when funds are available for purchases.

Think wells is going to villa for around 3m

Believable26 Unbelievable17

BINGO that's 15 clubs he's been linked with lol

Agree3 Disagree0

We don't have any money to buy him anyway

Agree1 Disagree1

Yes he is going to villa for 2 million.Should be a done deal by tommorow afternoon. Leeds have missed a big opportunity there

Agree1 Disagree1

Just a question, if he had the choice of premiership or championship, surely he has got to choose premiership?

Agree0 Disagree1

07 Jan 2014 19:18:17
how have we missed an opportunity there, we can't compete with any Premier club.

Agree1 Disagree1

So has he, he'll be bench warming

Agree1 Disagree0

How have we missed out he's untested at championship level let alone prem level I think it will be a step to far for the boy I remember when we bought painter from swindon he finished top scorer for them with 26 goals for us he was pants just could not make the step up and for 2mill is a big gamble

Agree1 Disagree0

2m to 3m .If villa want to pay that fine.Next season he will be loaned out to a championship side.To gain experience.Buy ALF who has proved he can score in all leagues.Just need the wing men.Who?

Shane long to Leeds

Believable13 Unbelievable43

Yes please, can he start Saturday, around 3 oclock?

Agree3 Disagree0

Never in a million years would be mega tho

Agree2 Disagree0

Don't think we will be bidding 6.5 mill anytime soon mate!

Agree2 Disagree1

07 Jan 2014 17:14:43
Saturday 12-15 might be better?

Agree5 Disagree0

07 Jan 2014 17:20:04
He could start Saturday 3 o'clock, but our kick off is 12:30, so he wouldn't be any good haha

Agree1 Disagree1

Long is top half premier quality, no way will he drop down to Leeds.

Agree1 Disagree2

He's worth more than our whole squad!

Cameron Stewart and Graham Dorrans in before Sheff Weds game!

Believable27 Unbelievable40

Hope so, Dorrans would be a great signing. Florist are after him as well though.

Agree2 Disagree2

Yes please to Dorrans. Our midfield has literally gone. It's like the engine in our car has been destroyed.

Agree4 Disagree1

Would be very happy for Dorrans to come in

Wells is going to Nottingham Forest.

Believable20 Unbelievable48

If wells has out about him he will come to the boro we have the pot to be best in the championship watch the space if we had a goal man we would be flying its an open in the champ and allways will be utb

Agree0 Disagree9

Yes but you havnt got a goal man! Strikers keep knocking you back, what's that about?

Agree3 Disagree0

Any chance of explaining the first post in English?
What I think you are saying is that if he has a modicum of sense, he will go to Middlesbrough? This I find highly amusing.
If Bradford had a goal man I am sure they wouldn't be sat in 12th in League 1. Oh, they do!
Middlesbrough has the potential to get washed away by the next tidal surge and no-one would really know or care.
Carry on watching the 10th worst team in the Championship and you never know, if you can land a decent player and maybe win a game or two, get featured in the 1st half of the Football League Show where decent teams are shown. Have fun

Agree2 Disagree0

If if if we had messi we would be top of the champ cause its wide open but but but we haven't! Stick to your boro page mate or are you a closet leeds fan?

Agree2 Disagree0

Heard on Radio Leeds this morning that we are hopefull or signing 2 Prem League players before the trip to Sheff Wed on Saturday.

One of them is Cameron Stewart as we all know but the other name has not been released.

Anyone got any ideas?

Lifelongleedsfan

Believable32 Unbelievable14

Probably Becchio

Agree0 Disagree4

07 Jan 2014 10:24:44
Billy Sharp I hope

Agree2 Disagree0

Hopefully a decent attacking midfield! Don't know where the zaha rumour came from?

Agree2 Disagree1

Kevin philips - free agent

Agree1 Disagree2

Didn't realise Cameron Stewart had ever actually played in the premier league.?

Agree1 Disagree1

Aaron Mclean from Hull City

Agree1 Disagree1

Same rumour in YEP

Agree2 Disagree0

07 Jan 2014 11:40:29
YEP said it was two prem stars, that rules becchio out thankfully. Then again Stewart is set to sign. I hope its one of this lot

Dorrans
Adam
Guidetti
Chalobah

Agree2 Disagree0

David Silva from Man City apparently!

Agree5 Disagree1

07 Jan 2014 12:18:31
Hopefully Nicky Maynard! Although only likely to be a loan deal.

Agree1 Disagree0

Why? is Becchio not a prem strker at the min?

Agree1 Disagree2

07 Jan 2014 12:59:38
Hopefully someone like Dorrans, add a bit of talent to our woeful midfield.

Agree1 Disagree1

David Silva? Don't be silly!

Agree1 Disagree5

Stewart and either Maynard, Dorrans, Albrighton or Guidetti please. Please not Becchio.

Agree2 Disagree0

Why not Becchio, proven goalscorer at this level, knows the place so wouldn't need a 'settling in period' perfect fit. Personally i'd like Dorrans and Becchio off your list, proven players at the level, remember that's what BMcD said he needed, the rest are not proven.

Agree1 Disagree2

"Why not Becchio?" Because he hasn't played in over a year, he's not match fit, he doesn't bring anything we already have, yet more hoof ball etc. What we need is pace and creativity, not more long ball merchants.

Agree1 Disagree0

07 Jan 2014 17:17:48
Can someone set this page as the homepage on Brian's PC ;)

That's Guidetti, I repeat Guidetti with a hint of Dorrans

Agree0 Disagree0

Pathetic spin to call Stewart a Premier League star. Even to call him a PL player is dishonest -Hull don't want him anywhere near their squad now they're in the Prem. Aguero, Ramsey, Rooney -these guys are Premier League stars. Chapel A

Agree0 Disagree0

07 Jan 2014 07:33:01
no deals to be completed until takeover complete . Stewart deal is ready to go through but no money as of yet .

Believable25 Unbelievable31

07 Jan 2014 10:53:05
yes they will. its been said that the delay won't effect the transfers

Agree1 Disagree1

As above. Haigh said that the takeover delays wouldn't hamper transfer dealings.

Agree3 Disagree0

Utter rubbish DH has already stated that that transfer money is available despite the delay in the TO. MOT.
