Forsell is a bit of an unknown quantity, but to me if Leeds are gonna sign him up, they must see something and also see that he has the capacity to make it fitness wise. We all know how tight the budget is so SG would not sign him if there was any major doubts. Lets wait and see.

Agree0 Disagree0

Unknown quantity?

You do know he spent about 6yrs in premier league.

He is very well known in the english game.

Agree0 Disagree0

Now please am begging you Grayson and bates Sign some qualtiy defenders and cmf !

Agree0 Disagree0

Are you stupid.. forssell is a brilliant player and has just been released by hamburg. so hes hardly unknown..

Agree0 Disagree0

I thought we didnt want any strikers according to SG earlier this week?

Agree0 Disagree0

For the bloke who thinks he is an unknown quantity Forsell was part of the Chelsea team to win the premiership under mourinho really unknown and also top scorer for hamburg wally.

Agree0 Disagree0

Forssell is brilliant? You been sniffing the paint thinners? He was mightily average at Birmingham, doesn't exactly have a killer goal scoring record with 7 in 44 games in Germany last season(at Hannover 96 btw not Hamburg) so if he is so good, why hasn't he been signed by a bigger club than us? He's obviously desperate for a club and has been waiting around for over a month for KB to get his piggybank off his yacht which smacks of desperation to me.
We don't need another striker with Becchio on the way back and Keogh doing well. I know this is a dirty word to Lame Duck Grayson, but here we go anyway DEFENCE DEFENCE DEFENCE.

Agree0 Disagree0

Are you stupid sir? i do believe it was Hannover from whenst Mr Forsell was released

Agree0 Disagree0

Forsell - unknown quality . . Didn't he get nearly 20 goals in 1 season in The Premiership at Birmingham?

Agree0 Disagree0

My work mate is a season ticket holder at Birmingham he said top player if he stays fit feed the forrs and he will score good addition to the squad

i swear michael brown is exactly like michael doyle who we had on loan, they both run round like headless chickens making stupid tackles and are just completely useless. if you dont believe me watch them careful, there only decent skill is passing and thats really it.

Believable10 Unbelievable14

I don't agree, his passing is carp and he doesn't run, Needs to shape up or we should sue for breach of contract!!

Agree0 Disagree0

He will do a job for us. We need a player like him as part of the squad. Everyone in the team has their roles and he will fulfill his i hope

Agree0 Disagree0

Brown is awful enough said just runs about making silly challenges.

Agree0 Disagree0

Nah brown is good you people just dont watch.. i probably seen him play more time than you and i agree he will do a job for us.. well said

Leeds United are lining up a move to bring Stoke City midfielder Danny Pugh back to Elland Road on loan.

Pugh has appeared as a substitute in the Potters' opening three Premier League games of the season, but has subsequently been left out of the 25-man squad for the first half of the campaign.

Stoke boss Tony Pulis is now prepared to let the 28-year-old join a Championship club on loan, with team-mates Danny Collins, Michael Tonge and Tom Soares also expected to head out of the Britannia Stadium.

Leeds are understood to be interested in Pugh, who undertook a spell in the second tier with former club Preston North End last season.

Whites boss Simon Grayson is a big fan of the former Manchester United youngster and is weighing up a temporary swoop for a player who can also operate at left-back.

Pugh previously made over 50 appearances during two years at Leeds before leaving for Preston in 2006.

Believable16 Unbelievable0

Ryan Bertrand of Chelsea is available on loan- if we are looking for loan signings then this is the calibre that we should be looking for- exciting young players who will be playing in the premiership shortly, not those no longer good enough. Surely that is what the loan market is about?

Federico bessone has got clearance to play ha ha good luck with that Swansea! Mot hope to see you all there saturday

Believable4 Unbelievable4

Whats the betting that Bessone Plays well for Swansea in the premiership.

Agree0 Disagree0

Probably ! We could do with a left back aswell

Agree0 Disagree0

Watch him be an absolute beast in the prem now.

Agree0 Disagree0

It would be typical of all player who have left Leeds

Agree0 Disagree0

I suspect he will be a good player for Swansea.

He was publicly humiliated by Grayson at Leeds. Clearly he needed encouragement at Grayson's man management let him down again.

i think the players who leeds could do with which are realistic, forsell, mc fadden and diouf although he's a tw@ he's a good footballer and couple of defenders somone big in centre and in jan buy ian harte, no money spent all free apart from harte

Believable5 Unbelievable8

Only one i'd want out of those is McFadden to replace Max. we need defensive strengthening though.

Agree0 Disagree0

You name 3 strikers there! We definately don't need 3 strikers, I know McFadden and Diouf can both play as wingers, but we still don't need that

Agree0 Disagree0

I DESPAIR at the thought of that man (HARTE)anywhere near a Leeds United shirt again! Without any doubt at all he was the weakest of weakest links in the Leeds United in an otherwise exceptional team and I kid you not - just ask Nobby Salano at Newcastle United(remember 3-1 up at home and losing 4-3 all down to Salaono ripping him apart) the man would score freekicks and penalties but his outrageous inadequacies of a defender caused Leeds to leak many many more goals and Premiership attacks realised this. Although I was a big O'Leary fan his blind loyalty to him(Maybe an Irish thing?) cost Leeds dearly! Please Please Please lets get defenders that at the very least can defend and don't get caught in the headlights by the first attacker with speed who runs at them!!

Agree0 Disagree0

I totally agree with the above post he was slow when he left what must he be like now i have spoken to gary kelly about him and past on my thoughts of his nephew we need a left back that has pace and can defend

Agree0 Disagree0

No didn't mean play mc fadden and diouf as strikers but in midfield they would be great James more than diouf

Agree0 Disagree0

Not Harte. I remember Beckham ripping him to shreads for pace, not really Becks speciality, though a great player in his heyday, Beckham that is. Sorry for mentioning a player from the dark side!

Agree0 Disagree0

To the I DESPAIR man.... Stop living in a dream land as if we still have that amazing team and are in the top of premier league... we are a championship club and when you look at his performances for reading we would outshine any of our back 4. Could you see any of our back for in that team we had back then?? no! exactly.. get a grip man!!!!!

Agree0 Disagree0

Quite right but Harte is considerably older now and as a result even slower and the wide players, even in the championship, generally have pace, if not the same final touch as those in the Prem. To be honest I don't want to see any of the players from the premiership era back at the club. We were almost going out of existence and many still took large pay-offs, sat on big contracts or continued to be paid long after joining other clubs. It's history anyway. I would like to see good young ones playing and staying with the odd old head in.

Loan window opening on Thursday.Simon needs
to fill up the CB and Defensive midfield role.
Bringing in another CB is not an option but a 1st
priority.Leeds have 1st choice, Kisnorbo in this
role.Since after he got injured,Kisnorbo a shadow
of his former self. Not quite match fit and slow.
Moreover Leeds need a backup incase Kisnorbo
gets injured again.Simon needs to address this
position urgently as well as the defensive midfield
role.Brown just got back from injury. Moreover he
is quite slow and age not on his side.Has experien
ce but lacking in pace.Needs a younger and exper
ienced defensive midfielder. This are the 2 main
weak areas.White should be okay in LB position
so not necessary to get another LB.LB role can
also be filled by Bromby,Parker and O'Dea.
A Leeds fan.

Believable14 Unbelievable3

Bromby is a center back or plays right back not left

Agree0 Disagree0

Bromby lb? Not gonna happen. I no leigh as we used to play in the yorkshire district team together. Lived local (dewsbury) i kept him out of the team. Then when he got to about 18 he excelled. Solid centre half. Not good with the ball but a no nonsense strong lad

Agree0 Disagree0

We shouldn't have been waiting until the loan window opened.

Agree0 Disagree0

Sorry but the 3 left backs you've mentioned there are all poor in that position parker needs to leave and play in league one or two for match practice o'dea's bin gd a cb but was awful at lb and talking about leigh bromby is a joke anyway. i agree we need a new cb though but priority has to be a left back then a lw then a cm and a cb

Agree0 Disagree0

Think your wrong tbh, we need two full backs parkers no good and aidy in 2 of the games i`ve seen has been very dodgy particulaly the doncaster game dumbia tore him to pieces, at right bck tom lees has looked good at times and could be quality in time connolly for me has had his day not quite sure when it was, also need a ball winning midfielder

Forsell is meant to be signing today according to twitter. Hope so we need him

Believable7 Unbelievable5

A striker is at the bottom of the list- plus Forsell is not very good at all- think you have been at the cider again!

Agree0 Disagree0

I'd rather we got a right back, left back and central midfielder

Agree0 Disagree0

We have 2 right backs also bromby can paly right back so we got 3 there. left back we need and a strong center back back. we could do with one more striker as we have lost somma for the season just sold max which is 15+ goals a season and if you think forssel is rubish then you no nothing as the championship can make alot of players refind there form and touch

Agree0 Disagree0

Grayson has said during an interview about Nile Ranger that we're not looking at any strikers.

So we'll probably sign him.

Agree0 Disagree0

I have watched Forsell play for both Chelsea and Birmingham- he had probably one decent season out of 8- if you think that makes him a good striker you really need to get out more!

Sky Sports News understands that Leeds are lining up a move for Danny Pugh. Himself, along with Tom Soares, Michael Tonge and Danny Collins are all available on loan from Stoke.

I would bring in Tonge aswell
