leeds united to add another quality signing to the squad before the cup game at shrews maybe even bought on the pitch after

Unlikely given Neil Warnock's comments in the Yorkshire Post about having to now sell players before bringing any in.

Craig Mackail-Smith due to have a medical tomorrow. Fallen out with Poyet after he was told that he wouldn't be playing an integral part in Brighton's season this year.
Source: Stewart Mackail-Smith (his dad- my uncle).

Believable11 Unbelievable54

Right ok, not what poyet was saying 2 days ago.
Would be nice but prove would be better, how ?
You decide.

Agree0 Disagree0

CMS is NOT wanted by Leeds Utd, only media interest and some fans hoping. The best player in the Championship is McCormack and he is already at Leeds and wants to stay.

Agree0 Disagree0

Mackail smith will not be joining leeds, 8hrs ago poyet declared both his strikers are injured and he is now in the market for another

Leroy lita to sign for Leeds soon, I would be happy to see him at Leeds, how does everyone else feel about him?

Believable26 Unbelievable36

Yep, he'll do, where you read this ?
Ed- heard owt about this 1 ? {Ed013's Note - It got laughed off on Tw****r}

Agree0 Disagree1

Don't think swansea are looking to offload are they ?
A previous rumour states a premiership striker to be loaned us, he's another 1 in the hat to pick from.
I remember grayson been after him once, could warnock go 1 better and get him ?
Lets hope so

Agree0 Disagree0

Not consistent enough,,,,,,,,,pass

Agree2 Disagree0

Not consistent enough with his goals....good player though with experience....would be good enough to get us out of the Championship to Premiership though I reckon, need to be a more accurate for the Premiership.

just read that ken bates is to fault for the delay and the buyers are still confident of the takeover happening.

Believable36 Unbelievable15

Who by ? LUST ? They talk the biggest load of balonie ever.
Why would the buyers/investor inform them about anything and not us and try blame ken bates for delay ?
Ed, any truth in lust being in contact with buyers/investors ? {Ed013's Note - They do have a contact but unsure who. I asked to sit in their meeting on sat with Shaun Harvey, but they wont let me!}

Agree1 Disagree3

Ed, what was the meeting regarding ?
Takeover/investment ?
Or do they just say no to you about any meeting they have regardless of topic ? {Ed013's Note - I think its about a whole variety of things. They mentioned it yesterday on their Tweet}

Agree0 Disagree0

I do believe that the hold up is coming from the club.I have tried to get some information from LUST but they are not forthcoming about anything apart from saying the takeover is still happening. I would have thought they would have been able to share a little more about the buyers without giving too much away but its always the same response from them. {Ed013's Note - If they are in the know, everyone has signed a confidentiality agreement and cant risk messing things up}

Agree0 Disagree0

Yeah , we all know Ken will try to get as much money as possible but remember if it wasn't for him we wouldn't even be on a rumour site or if we was still going we would be LUFC in the non league!

Agree1 Disagree0

Why would Bates delay, he wants to sell. That does not make sense

Agree0 Disagree0

If it wasnt for Bates we would have not gone into administartion then to league one. Any person can go into administration then have the majority of debts written off then sell the assets and keep the money instead of reinvesting. He didnt save Leeds, he say an opportunity to make some cash. get your facts right. Tnousands of Leeds Fans caling for him to go cant be wrong. Or are they morons??!!

Nicky Maynard expected to join Leeds in the next few days

Believable42 Unbelievable30

I think Maynard will sign on loan for the season and if all goes well we will sign him permanently.

Agree0 Disagree0

Really hope he does sign whether permanent or loan with option to buy. Really rate him, can score, good on the ball and has loads of pace. Fingers crossed!

Is anybody else thinking that bates fully intended to sell, but has noticed the pre-season form and that warnock has managed to put a decent looking side together. If bates actually feels like we could have a chance of getting promoted this season then why on earth would he sell a club on the brink of the premiership. It doesn't make sense.

I really hope he does and we can get some
investment, but if I were bated right now, I'd be thinking we could have a chance, and all I'd be seeing is £££££££££££££££££££££££.

However I would give up the funds for a couple more marquee players that warnock wants.

Fat chance of bated doing that though.

Wants everything for nothing that man

Whiterose1919

Believable16 Unbelievable29

I'm pretty sure the season hasn't even started yet so how can Leeds be on the brink of promotion? Wishfully thinking comes to mind with the squad Leeds have they should be hoping for a top 10 finish at the most

Agree2 Disagree1

You do know there isn't a takeover happening right? The only thing that has ever come from the only reputable source (the OS) is that there is a party wishing to invest in, not buy, Leeds United. Bates isn't selling because he just isn't selling.
DonnyLeeds

Agree0 Disagree2

When a company starts the long and costly process of due diligence a deal to purchase the club is already in place. e.g. we will pay £30m for the club subject to what you are telling us is correct. The due diligence verifies the correctness of what has been told to the purchaser in the first place. If the seller (Bates) decided to pull out after the other party had paid a huge amount for exclusivity and due diligence (and it will be huge) then they could sue Bates for the cost of the due diligence. The cost of a smart solicitor at £500/hour soon amounts to a lot of cash. I do not think Bates would like to pay this. Furthermore in my experience, and I have done due diligence, if the purchase was going to fall through it would have done so a long while ago. JD

Agree1 Disagree0

Original poster here. When I say on the brink, I mean in the eyes of bates. Why would he sell a club that might be just one season away from the top flight. And with the squad we've got mid-table to 8th sounds about right , but with the added quality two players that warnock and the rest of us want in, we could be contenders or at the very least play offs.

Im just saying I wouldn't sell a club if I thought I had a chance of being promoted.

How much is it worth getting back to the top flight all in all.

I'm sure I heard with tv rights and everything it was worth around 90 million over the course of so many years

Could be way off the mark here, please someone enlighten me

Whiterose1919

White rose

Agree0 Disagree0

I understand how you feel and I even think there is a little truth in what you say the motives are, but I have to confess it wasn't Ken Bates who put us in this mess it was Ridesdale and a committee that "lived the dream" on somebody else's money and walked away leaving Leeds in the wilderness for years.
Bates stepped in when others talked and no one helped.
It's all happening slower than I want aswell and I do think with his backing he's taken it as far as he can but he surely must have the right to sell when he sees fit as if it wasn't for his intervention we'd all be supporting a new team that's just started called Leeds acedemicals or such like with no history like the proud one we have now..
Just Give him a chance. He does deserve that at least !

Agree1 Disagree0

Please, please watch the David Conn documentary if you think Bates saved Leeds. He effectively placed us in admin in order to consolidate his own power.

The squad is nowhere near promotion material. We're absolutely threadbare - one injury and we're amongst the kids. And let's not forget that a good chunk of our signings are the midfield of a team relegated from this division. You need depth to compete.

Could go on all day about this, but Bates has had 7 years of opportunity to invest and take the club forward. Instead, money has been thrown into other businesses which LOSE the football club money and pointless construction.

We will only move forward truly once he has gone and someone with an interest in taking Leeds United forward as a football club, not a business, takes the reins.

Agree1 Disagree0

Nothing like a good conspiracy theory, eh! Not wishing to pour on cold water, but, frustrated as we all are by the wait, I think the reality is much more prosaic: the process of transferring ownership of a substantial business (with a variety of assets, both tangible and intangible) can be a lengthy, drawn-out process, often taking several months. There may well have been a number of hitches and stumbling blocks, and there may be a number of points requiring drawn-out negotiation -but though your reading of Bates' mind has a logic to it, I think the process underway will succeed or fail for for reasons other than one individual's perception of which way the wind is blowing. As regards how the team is taking shape, I am always optimistic, but would describe our pre-season as consistently solid rather than inspirational -to date (at present I don't see a lot of creativity to augment the solidity -though that could of course change depending on the last couple of players NW brings in). Chapel A

Agree0 Disagree0

Half the team is from Portsmouth and they got relegated last year. We have sold our captain and brought in a few cheap second rate players. On the brink of promotion, I don't think so.

Agree1 Disagree1

I don't think that the pre-season form has had anything to do with what's going on (and there is a takeover taking place), and also the reason we went into admin was so that we wouldn't fold and go out of existence. I despise Bates as a person, but what he did then was the only option that would keep LUFC in business, and my disliking of him is not strong enough to blind me from that.

Agree1 Disagree0

At the end of the day, NOBODY KNOWS NOTHING bar the parties involved.
Please be patient my fellow leeds fans.
All in good time will we know when or if the takeover happens

Agree1 Disagree0

Pre season Form evn bates is not that stupid to know we played a load of nobodys ! preseason form means nothing person

Agree0 Disagree0

To the guy who slates portsmouth, i am a leeds fan but do remember ADMINISTRATION sent portsmouth under not the team !
They were deducted 10 points for it and would have stayed up with ease had they not lost em.
We were deducted TWICE but as a team stayed together to bounce back, unfortunately for PFC it was too late.
As someone has already pointed out, nobody knows anything, not even LUST ignore them.
Had the takeover/investment collapsed ken the b****** bates would be pointing the finger straight away we know that.
As frustrating as it is we must stick together as much as we can.
LUFC is OUR club nobody elses and as much as i despise KB i will always be grateful to him for not letting LUFC do a PFC

Agree1 Disagree0

Brink of promotion, I would be happy to stop up next season. I cannot see us scoring any goals. We lack pace throughout the team and we lack three quality players

Agree0 Disagree0

A couple of points - firstly this will be another long season, yet again having at least 8-10 teams who will believe try have a chance of promotion. If Bates has a potential buyer now he knows he can't risk pulling in the hope we get promotion, it's a huge risk.

Secondly, for people slating Portsmouth player because the club was relegated, your memory seems to be very short - remember we got relegated from the premiership with a good squad but the financial issues (just like Pompey) clearly had a catastrophic impact. They had a good enough team to stay up and be at least mid table

I still firmly believe that the takeover is happening, with Bates' past history, I'm sure that if it fallen through he'd have been very much in the media slating the buyers and yet he's been silent for months. Confidentiality agreements are very serious - I used to work there and when I got made redundant I got made to sign one and the paperwork was unbelievable.....imagine what it'll be like for a takeover!

Have faith and patience guys, these things don't happen overnight

al1977

Agree0 Disagree0

If Bates hadn't come in, another investor would. Are you KB's love child, you defend him so much!

Agree1 Disagree0

To the person who said Portsmouth would have stayed up with ease. Why talk rubbish. Portsmouth finished 22nd with 40 points. Barnsley 21st with 48. How is that with ease? Why post crap?

Agree0 Disagree0

As he said though add the ten points back & they would have had 50 so would have been two points over Barnsley ....when seasons can be decided by GD two points is "with ease"

Agree0 Disagree0

What a load of BS. What pre-season form? What decent team? No money to spend and the panic will set in when the takeover collapses. I doubt if there was ever any takeover interest anyway. Just a smoke screen for Bates to continue as normal. We have a half decent team capable of staying up but not going up.

Agree0 Disagree0

10 point deduction takes them to 50 which would of kept them up. Then take away all the stress of the financial situation , pay the players their wages every week to keep them happy, a happy ship makes a huge difference to a football club, suddenly those losses become draws and the draws become wins. I Firmly believe Portsmouth would of been at the very least mid table with the squad they had, if they didn't have such huge issues with finances.

2 Signings to be made before wolves game next week.
1. Martin Cranie on a free
2. Nicky Maynard on loan

NW also interested in Templeton but he is waiting till otger players move on. i.e Nunez/Paynter

Believable31 Unbelievable23

I would agree with these signings. G Boyd maybe a possibility if not Templeton.

Agree0 Disagree0

I suspect either 2 at least to sign or 3.

Maynard-loan
Boyd or temple-buy

I've listened to and watched all our pre-season friendlies on LUTV. Of the youngsters on parade, Sam Byram does look like he's got a real future. The Turner twins look handy (but young too). The one I like the looks of most is Dom Poleon. He reminds me of a young Hasselbaink. He has that swagger about him that good strikers have and a real pile-driver shot. Not afraid to take people on and also has a fair range of passes. I think he needs to be around the squad at the minute (as does Byram). Give them hope and they will give 100%. I hope NW doesnt allow these young jewels to fritter away. Thoughts anyone? :)

Believable50 Unbelievable2

Totally agree with your comments. We need to nurture our youth and fetch them into the squad so they can learn their trade. After all, new start, new future so bring it on.

Agree1 Disagree0

I think we should be getting the youngsters through into the first team or at least as back ups for the first team. We used to use youngsters before (lennon, milner, robbo, woody etc) look what they did for us. I dont think it matters how young they are. I think if they are showing potential and eagerness then we should give them a go. Cant be any worse than some of the donkeys we have used in the team for previous seasons. Could also save us money as we wont need to buy anyone in. Lets just make sure they have a long contract so we dont have sell for peanuts as they only got 12mths left on their deals

MOT!

Matt

Agree1 Disagree0

Yep yep yep. Batty. Speed. Wood. Etc etc
Stop buying rubbish. Get the Leeds boys in
Let's play football Neil!!!

Agree1 Disagree0

I agree with all of you, top thoughts guys! - JamesC

Agree1 Disagree0

I never saw the sense of signing players as backup when you have a youth setup as good as Leeds United. give them all a try.

Agree1 Disagree0

I would rather see the young guys play than some of the dross we have signed

Agree0 Disagree0

Absolutely. We don't need to buy squad players like Crainie when we already have youngsters of this calibre who are future first team stars. Giving them first team experience is giving us a long term first team as well as saving us cash. Win-win!

Agree0 Disagree0

What about the under 18s captain Simon Lenighan or something like that {Ed013's Note - Center Mid, decent prospect}

Agree0 Disagree0

Byram, Poleon and Thompson are ready for the First Team squad right now. The Turners, Cairns, Lenighan and Killock should be loaned out to get experience and readiness for the first team squad. I have high hopes and confidence in all of the.

Agree0 Disagree0

Byram and Thompson arent at all, Byram we have just bought Peltier for 800k which would prove to be a massive waste of the transfer budget if you were to play Byram and Thompson we have green norris austin etc in CM personally last season they would have got in the team for me but now id send them on loan for a season with the exception of Byram who can be on bench incase peltier gets injured. I would however give Poleon a chance on the bench to start too and possible start bringing him on with 20 mins or so left they will all be big stars, as for the comment about Lenighan he is arguably the biggest prospect of the lot.

Agree0 Disagree0

What about sanchez payne? i have heard good things about him!

Agree0 Disagree0

I just really feel they have to be in and around the squad to really be a true through and through white. Loans are good for theyre development, but have them playing at a different level. Was good for Lees and Clayton, but so many just drift off. I'd like to see Poleon, Byram (who I think can be a decent winger too) and Lenighan on the bench regularly :)

Agree0 Disagree0

With the experience of our older players I think they can be part of the squad this season.

Agree0 Disagree0

It appears that the hold up in the takeover is all down to Ken Bates, info from LUST, who are hoping to get more news tonight on takeover.

Believable29 Unbelievable10

Bates being arkward - wow thats a shocker!! Why does he not just give up and handover to someone who has the best interests of Leeds United at heart

Agree1 Disagree0

I could totally believe that we are waiting on Ken Bates. He will be playing his own game of DARE with the investors, using our hopes as a human shield against the new investors, while the clock ticks down til the season starts and the window closes. He really doesn't care about Leeds United as a club or the true feelings of its fans. It is just a business to him and alwyas will be. He enjoys winning business battles more than football matches.
Its time for the board members to stand up and expose him for what he is here. I.e. Chris Harvey. Peter Lorimer and the rest. This saga of non communication is a disgrace and must be challenged by all self respecting people

Agree0 Disagree0

I just hope that if Bates will not sell at a 'reasonable' price and we lose out purely because of his greed, that ALL Leeds supporters will totally boycott random games next season?

I know it's not the team's fault and we should be behind them all the way, but the only thing Bates is interested in is money and this is the only way to hurt him?

Believe me I am Leeds through and through but I am growng totally sick of Bates now, no matter what he may or may not have done for the club in the past.....

Ed Is there anyway we could get an online petition going to show Bates out total LACK of support for HIM? {Ed013's Note - Lets see how it all ends up first}

Agree0 Disagree0

Not sure if true but read a few posts on other sites that his wife is is really ill maybe the reason but google her and no news so maybe just another story.

Agree0 Disagree0

The 'saga of non communication' is also known as a confidentiality clause! If LUST have had a contact within the investors giving them information then that person would be in breach of that clause. This is typical self-aggrandising and posturing by LUST who like the rest of us know sweet FA!

Agree0 Disagree0

Why don't LUST go f##k themselves I'm a Leeds supporter and I don't need some fat bloke speaking for me
They think there important with there ten thousand members
Your a tiny minority of a massive group of fans and I don't want to hear your views or so called facts
Hope when bates goes this pointless fraternity goes with him
Russjon

Agree0 Disagree0

What is that guy thinking who sez we should boycott games, im not gonna let down my team because of one person, if u boycott games then your only letting down leeds, thus ruining promotion chances :/

Agree0 Disagree0

Yup last seasons boycotts really affected our promotion chances....Get real mate it was the sh*t team that did that and the lack of investment from your favourite chairman who you want to keep feeding money.

Agree0 Disagree0

Bates is in Monaco saying nowt and therefore Leeds United are saying nowt because they signed an agreement to say nowt as that was what the consortium wanted! Just because LUST and their members feel that they should be in the know and theyre not they come on here troublemaking and start telling peole to boycott games and help fracture Leeds United. They are pathetic and worse than Bates.

My 1st and only post on here until today was weeks ago and I said that Leeds would use the money from the sale of clayton to buy kenny and the money from McCormack to sign beckford who is to be the highest earner at Leeds. This is not a load of bulls**t like a lot of other posts on here but genuine info. Talks are ongoing and this is far from a done deal but it is very likely beckford will be back at Leeds soon. It wasn't a friend of a friend of a friend that told me this either, I play golf with 1 of the accountants from Leeds (not naming him) and he told me this info.

Believable7 Unbelievable44

McCormack is staying though, so where is the money coming from for that deal? not from Snodgrass as that is long gone?

Agree0 Disagree0

Think you mean money from snodgrass so if u can't get that bit right then I'm sure other bit wrong...shrew leeds

Agree0 Disagree0

McCormack stayin warnock wants him toomstay

Agree0 Disagree0

Just because my mum wants me marry rich,it doesn't mean I will!

Agree0 Disagree0

Blah blah blah same old same old.
Nothing concrete as per usual, give it a rest eh fella let whatever happens happen you know a bit like a car crash when theres no control over ending ?

Agree0 Disagree0

Beckford has NEVER been in Leeds radar, it's all in the mind of some small sections of so called Leeds supporters, who used to do the same for Smith.

Agree0 Disagree0

I dont post on here much either but i told everyone that paddy kenny was signing weeks before anyone else said it and got slagged by everybody calling me a liar so dont worry about what everybody says iwould like to see jb back at er because he is so fast think he will score more than most in this league and at the moment the team is very weak i think personally but we are leeds and we will support the team whoever plays just wish we had more money lol

lufc4life

Agree0 Disagree0

Can't see where the money will come from and his wages will to high for us unless the the takeover ever happens.

Agree0 Disagree0

Not sure if he is the right player. His attitude doesn't fit in with our squad, and with a completely different team and manager, we can't possibly predict that he'll have anything like the kind of impact that he had before.

Agree0 Disagree0

Dont know how many times now ive had to post this. nobody within the club can talk about whats going on with takeover or transfers or theyll risk losing there job so stop posting s**t about people telling you stuff.

I live next door to the press officer for Leeds and he has been requested to go to Thorpe Arch at 2pm today to unveil a premiership striker joining us on loan for a season. They wouldn't tell him who it was though.

Believable11 Unbelievable51

Warnock has already said there will be nobody coming in until we let the likes of Nunez, Connolly, racubka go.

That is including wages. So a loan deal doesn't look possible either

Whiterose1919

Agree0 Disagree0

I'll keep an eye out on all the usual channels...

Agree0 Disagree0

Really? or is this a NEVER NEVER

Agree0 Disagree0

Why would you get peoples hopes up like this? Havent us Leeds fans suffered enough anxiety over signings and takeover to be teased with false statements?! I appreciate this is a rumours site, but rumours are all we have with our Club being kept in the dark from us.

Championship clubs Leeds, Burnley and Millwall all want to sign Sheffield United captain Nick Montgomery. The 30-year-old is expected to be sold for £500,000.

MC

Believable18 Unbelievable30

I hope this one is just a rumour, he wasn't good enough for the Blunts first team when they were in League One so why would we think he's good enough now?! I'd prefer Quinn if we were to sign anyone from them anyway, but ideally I'm liking the sound of Templeton myself or George Boyd (think Boyd would be quality in a good midfield/attack) - JamesC

Agree1 Disagree0

Stop bringing this stupid rumour up he would never get in the team so why would we spend 500k that we probably will need for other players.

Agree1 Disagree0

£500k for another 30year old. WHy is it we pay money for players like this and our players (lonergan, clayton, snodders etc) get sold for peanuts!

Agree0 Disagree0

Dont believe everything u read in a certain tabloid news paper mate, right side midfield & striker priority.

Agree0 Disagree0

No chance, Winger or Striker needed.

Agree0 Disagree0

Just agree with you all, we've enough squad players, just need a couple of quality players now.

Agree0 Disagree0

Jeez not another oldie warnock needs more young players in!

Agree0 Disagree0

We have Green, Norris, Austin and Brown now: I think this is the media fishing around for a story, and reviving an old one -I think he was probably on NW's list of possibles at the start of the summer, but we surely have that area of the team squad covered now (what with Pugh and Thompson there as well). Chapel A

Agree0 Disagree0

We have 5 cm - Norris, Austin, green, Brown, Thompson why the hell would we need him?

But he is at millwall

NW is considering a move for Heskey. He likes versatile members of his squad and believes Heskey has the attributes to be retrained as a centre back, in a Dion Dublin type role. NW intends to lure him with offer of captaincy.

Believable11 Unbelievable43

No way, we get shut of one or two donkeys to be replaced with another. I don't think so.

Agree0 Disagree0

Haha this is one of the most outrageous made up rumours I have seen on here.

Agree0 Disagree0

Pure comedian, you are.

Agree0 Disagree0

Worst rumor ever.

Agree0 Disagree0

That is so funny, i almost hope it is true. Emile at centre half, priceless

Agree0 Disagree0

I don't think this is stupid, i think in the championship he would be a good striker for us and he will do a lot of the dirty work for varney and mccormack

Agree0 Disagree0

Wouldn't necessarily be my choice, but I could see NW thinking Heskey could do a job as a reserve target man at this level if Becchio is sold (remember Roberts at Reading in the second half of last season). Not so sure about the centre-back suggestion though...Chapel A

Agree0 Disagree0

Hes an awful striker never mind defender.

Agree0 Disagree0

Maybe NW could make him into our new RW. I can just see him sprinting down the winger whipping in crosses

Huddersfield bid for Becchio coming before Friday according to the Huddersfield Examiner.
Lets hope we keep McCormack if this is true.

Believable12 Unbelievable30

Just been on the examiner website and no Becchio on there, another bull shi**er trying stir stuff

Agree2 Disagree0

Must be a different examiner to the one i get then because its not in my paper!

Agree2 Disagree0

I do yhink there could be something in this as colin wants mckormack and another striker and i cant see 3 upfront.

Agree0 Disagree2

All i know is that it was a member of staff called Andy who had the paperwork about it...Can get more info tonight.

Agree0 Disagree0

Makes sense. If Huddersfield sell Rhodes they will be cash rich and Grayson likes Becchio and Colin has not been very complimentary about Becchio. That would be some money for Ken and a few bob to spend on a new striker.

Agree0 Disagree0

What are you talking about seriously? Warnock rates becchio ridiculously highly

Agree0 Disagree0

I would much rather keep becchio than mcboremack

Agree0 Disagree0

Warnock said ' "Becchio needed two sessions a week and he'll realise it's easier to play than train' That's a bit cryptic

I know this will disappoint you as it always does, but just saying what I've read. It's in the daily star this morning and on talksport website that Leeds, Millwall and Burnley are battling for the signature of Nick Montgomery for a fee of £500,000. Just saying what I've read and doubt that it will happen, and no I am not the guy who has posted Quinn and Montgomery rumours frequently in previous transfer windows. MOT

Believable22 Unbelievable51

Did you see any strikers at the game tonight? How many did those hard working, loyal, Leeds thru and thru strikers bec and mc score? Pile of rubbish! Get maynard and another and let the flower pot men go!

Agree0 Disagree0

For crying out loud when will it stop ?
Granted your declared this a rumour BUT that is all it was and ever will UNTIL something is announced which it will be in due wether it be good or bad

Agree0 Disagree1

Think about this one. IF the takeover has collapsed then all confidentiality agreements are nullified. Why therefore has it not been announced by anybody involved?! KB would not be able to contain himself were he not compelled by legally binding agreements to slag off any prospective bidders for the club, ( eg time-wasters, scheisers etc). My view is that yes it is a protracted process and increasingly frustrating but i still hold out hope that it will happen..eventually. MOT

I was also at last night game and didn't hear a word about the take over so I'm guessing it's a load of rubbish made up by te original poster

Does anyone else think that after making 10 signings that some sort of investment must have taken place already considering we could afford 400k for Ward back in June.
I know a lot have been free transfers, but wages need covering. Warnock knows what he's doing and won't pay over the odds for anyone.

Agree0 Disagree0

Good Lord, someone is saying that Becchio & McCormack are a pile of rubbish just because they didn't score against Burton?! Heaven forbid! We'll forget about their 31 goals (I think?!) between them last season. Ok, it didn't get us a good league position, but that was down to the shoddy defence. Just imagine where we'll be if we score as many again but can defend this time. Get off their backs, if you think you can do better then put your name forward! Otherwise be quiet - JamesC

Agree0 Disagree0

It doesn't sound good, especially now we're having to sell on players to get new faces in. Lets face it, with the funds of the players we're trying to get rid of, are we really gonna be able to afford the kind of player we are all hoping for?

Agree0 Disagree0

What if there arent any investors?

Agree0 Disagree0

The only people in the Know are current Owners , Prospective Owners and Financial / Legal bodies involved. So seeing as there are confidentiality clauses etc it is highly unlikely that nothing will emerge until everything is finalised one way or the other. So stop posting stupid comments.

Agree0 Disagree0

The takeover is still on. Just be patient and stop talking rubbish.

Agree0 Disagree0

Inclined to agree with poster 3. if it has fallen through there would be loads of press releases with finger pointing and potentially Warnock would walk. He's still here and all is quiet on the yorkshire front.....

Agree0 Disagree0

All strikers have an off game u person so stop moaning

Agree0 Disagree0

Has any one else considered the possibility, that they do not want to anounce the take over until nw has completed all his signings.
this being to avoid clubs asking over inflated prices for players, hoping that the new owners have a big budget and would pay silly man city prices for players.

leeds united for ever...........

Off day. Don't make me laugh. Bill beccio hasn't got an on switch and Ben McCormick just loves missing so much more than scoring. There woeful best days are behind them so bye bye
